The Power of the Mind

I am trying to move towards being more active in the community. And I'm bored. So I had the great Idea to talk randomness and put it on paper. Well, not paper, but you understand what I mean.

The power of one's mind is truly incredible. The mind can change the world, or it can change you, or it can change the channel. Whether you need to change your mindset or just set things in motion, nothing should stop you from accomplishing what you want. Your mind can do incredible things, just don't let it go to waste.

You already knew this though. Anyways, you were expecting a story. Allow me.

It was a 3 a.m. when Leonard looked at his clock. He had recently moved to live with his mom (after being separated from her for years) and school was just a few days away. Leonard had mixed emotions due to lack of friends and the possibility his classes wouldn't transfer. He was excited because this is high school. 4 years of grade school, then off to college. A very exciting thought, or a terrifying one. Why do these days keep dragging on? thought Leonard as he lay awake, hoping for the sun to rise. He suddenly had the urge to use the bathroom. So he got off his bed and headed for the bathroom.

On the way out he noticed something in the mirror. Something was caught in his black hair. As he reached to grab it out, he noticed something on his hand. A marking of some sort. Leonard had no idea what it could be. He ran his hand over it, just to feel it. It was warm and didn't feel like skin at all. The mark began to glow a deep hue of red. What the... Leonard was mid-thought when the mark combusted.

The fire spread quickly. The fire had swiftly consumed his entirety. The mark grew brighter and brighter. Suddenly the mark itself began to spread coating his body in the black texture that it was composed of. It slowly replaced the flames, as well as Leonard's skin and everything on him.

Leonard awoke flailing, although he was silent.. His breathing was heavy and felt like he had just been crushed underneath a building. Leonard looked over at his clock and realized he had slept through breakfast. He quickly got dressed and headed to the bathroom, intentionally avoiding the mirror. Since Leonard missed the mirror, he failed to notice that his hair was going in every direction known to man. He made his way downstairs, hoping no one was down there and he could eat his breakfast in peace.

He breathed a sigh of relief when he learned that no one was down there. His victory was short lived, as he noticed a letter hanging on the fridge with his list of chores for the day. With a groan, he located the items necessary for a simple breakfast. After retrieving the milk, a spoon, a bowl, and some brand of chocolate cereal, he made himself breakfast and ate it in silence. On to the daily grind Leonard thought as he put his bowl in the sink.

After about an hour of kitchen cleaning and EDM, Leonard was ready for his day. So He headed upstairs, turned on his Xbox and did what he has done every day for the past summer. Leonard played his Xbox with EDM in the background and with the lights off and the door shut. Everything was normal until learned heard some random squeaker on a game he was playing. This kid pissed him off, so he resorted to reading. After staring at words on a page for a while, Leonard realized he was going to need to do something other than play games and read.

Leonard had decided to practice social skills by talking to random strangers. Leonard is anti-social, but he is determined to make as many friends as he possibly can, so off to Omegle he went.. So he ran in to the usual desperate guy attempting to find some random girl. He also ran into the several bots and just freaky people in general. However, one person stood out from the rest. He said nothing, only sent him a link to a webpage. Leonard is a curious creature and decided to click the link.

Once the page had loaded Leonard was totally confused. It was just a string of numbers followed by the text: The Power of The Mind is Greater than you Imagine. Leonard had no idea what to make of this page, yet he knew it had to mean something.

I know this isn't that interesting, but I'm only beginning. I won't use my age as an excuse, but if I can intrigue at least 1 person, then I've succeeded. The excuses that I had planned were Im using a phone keyboard and I'm only 14, but you don't care. You clicked here expecting something interesting. I hope I provided you something interesting.I can at least give you the string of numbers:
