She Followed Me Home
Kathy's Side
(Why? Why haven't they started beating me yet?) Kathy was lying on the ground with her eyes shut tight.
*smack* *smack* *smack*
(What the hell are they doing? Are they fighting amongst themselves?) Kathy still kept her eyes shut.
After a moment of silence Kathy heard footsteps coming closer to her. (Why is there only one set of footsteps? Did one of them knock the others out? Is it the one who wants to rape me!? Oh God I'm going to-)
"Are you alright?"
Kathy snapped her eyes open and looked up. Standing above her was a human who wasn't part of the three who were going to kill her.
(Who is this guy? What does he want?) Kathy was still on edge.
"Did they hurt you?"
(What's going on? Why is a human asking me that?)
"No" Kathy replied.
"That's good" the human said with a sigh of relief.
(He's relieved that I'm not hurt? Why? Why is this human caring about me? Can I trust him? Well, at the very least, I can see he doesn't want to hurt me.)
Kathy took the human's hand and is pulled to her feet.
"So what's your name?"
"...Kathy."
"Kathy, huh? My name is Ryan."
(What the hell is going on!? It's weird enough for a human to help out a Fur, but now he trying to get to know me? I can't keep this in any longer.)
"Why? Why are you treating me like this?" Kathy asked.
Ryan had a surprised look on his face. "Treating you like what? Did I offend you?"
"Why are you being nice to me? I'm a Fur, aren't all humans supposed to hate us?"
Kathy just stared at Ryan; waiting for an answer.
"What's there to hate about you?" was his reply.
*gasp*(Wha-what did he just say? Is there really a human standing in front of me who has no ill-will towards Furs?) Kathy was looking staring at Ryan's eyes. (He's not lying. Then why can't I take my eyes off of him? What is this feeling inside of me? Why do I suddenly have this urge to get to know this hum- get to know Ryan? Does he live near here? I should ask him.)
*beep beep* *beep beep*
Ryan looked at his watch. "Shit! Sorry for having to leave so soon, but I only have ten minutes to catch the last bus home." Ryan turned around. "Take care of yourself." With that Ryan took off.
(No! I can't let him go; I might never see him again. I have to follow him. But what if he thinks I'm a stalker? What if he thinks I'm a psycho? Why am I worrying so much as to what he'll think of me?)
Kathy spotted a wooded baseball bat on the ground.
(Is this his? Ryan must have used it beat up those men. He must have forgotten it. That's it! Returning his bat will give me the perfect excuse to see him again! Why am I so excited in seeing him again? I don't have time to think; I'm going to lose him!"
Kathy picked up the bat and started to run in the same direction as Ryan did. Luckily for Kathy, she could just barely see him in the distance. After a few minutes of following, she saw Ryan arrive at the bus stop. Kathy was about to run over to Ryan until she thought of something.
(Wait, if I give it to him now he'll just thank me and get on the bus. But since Furs aren't allowed on the bus, I won't be able to know where he lives. I have to figure something out fast!)
Kathy looked down the street and saw the bus coming. As it pulled alongside Ryan. Kathy quickly ran behind the bus and jumped on top. The top was slick with water, however, and caused Kathy to fall on her hands and knees. The bat fell out of her hand and started rolling to the edge of the bus. Kathy dived for it as it fell of the side, barely catching the handle of the bat)
(That was too close! I hope no one noticed anything.
No one came out to investigate, and the bus just went on as normal. Kathy sighed with relief.
After thirty minutes the bus stopped in a suburban neighborhood. Kathy was still lying on top of the bus. She wasn't well however. The rain and wind chill had finally gotten to Kathy.
"So co-col-cold" Kathy gasped. She noticed the bus had stopped.
"Last stop. Everyone get off." Kathy heard the voice; most likely it was the bus driver. She jumped off the side of the bus opposite of the doors. She went and hid behind some bushes. She saw Ryan just standing at the bus stop as the bus drove off.
"What is he doing?" Kathy said to herself.
"Kathy," Ryan said. "I know you're around here. Please come out."
Kathy's eyes widened. (How did he know I followed him? Well, I guess there's no point in hiding anymore.) Kathy walked from behind the bushes. She started to shiver a bit. When Ryan saw her he ran up to her.
"Kathy! What are you doing here?" Ryan had a worried look on his face.
"Y-you fo-forgot your b-b-bat" Kathy was having a hard time talking; she was very cold.
Ryan looked at the bat she was holding and back at her face. "Here, put this on" Ryan said as he pulled off his jacket and put it on Kathy. He then pulled her close to him.
(He's so warm...) Kathy snuggled closer to Ryan. (Why am I starting to turn red? I'm sure it's because I'm cold... right?)
"C'mon. I've got to get you someplace warm" Ryan said as he started walking with Kathy.
(Who said I wasn't warm?) Kathy smiled a bit as she was led by Ryan.

Ryan's Side
Ryan was running down the streets; he had less than ten minutes to get to bus stop, and it was half-mile away.
"I hope Kathy will be fine. It's too bad I had to leave so soon."
Ryan finally arrived at the bus stop. He checked his watch. "And I have two minutes to spare."
The bus soon arrived and Ryan got on. He took his bus card out his jacket pocket and swiped it. He went to the back of the bus, which was his favorite place to sit.
*thump*
"What was that?" Ryan said to himself. The noise seemed to have come from above. He looked out the window to his right and his eyes widened. He saw the bat he discarded being pulled up by a paw.
"Kathy?" Ryan knew for sure it was Kathy. "Shit! What do I do? I can't let the bus driver know she's up there, but at the same time I can't let her stay up there."
Before Ryan could decide what to do the bus started moving.
"This is bad. My stop is the only stop this bus will be making and that's about a half an hour drive. Kathy..."
After thirty minutes the bus arrived at his stop. "Last stop. Everyone get off."
(What the hell is the point of the ‘Everyone get off'? I'm the only one onboard. Just hurry up and open the damn door!)
The doors opened and Ryan quickly got off. "Shit. I need to wait until I'm alone." Ryan stood there as he waited for the bus to move out of sight.
"Kathy, I know you're around here. Please come out." From the bushes to his left he saw
Kathy walk out. Ryan quickly ran over to her. He noticed she was shivering.
"Kathy! What are you doing here?" Ryan asked her wondering why she did all of this.
"Y-you fo-forgot your b-b-bat" Kathy stuttered. Ryan looked at the bat.
(Shit! She did all of this for that bat? I should have taken it with me, then at least she wouldn't be in this mess. I can't dwell on the past now; I need to get her out of the rain.)
"Here, put this on." Ryan took off his jacket and placed it around her. Ryan then pulled Kathy close to his body so she could warm up. Kathy shifted.
(Did she just snuggle into me? Ryan started to blush. I'm sure it's because she's cold.)
Ryan quickly snapped out of his thoughts and focused on what needed to be done.
"C'mon. I've got to get you to someplace warm" Ryan said as he started to lead Kathy towards his house.
When they arrived Ryan took out his key. (Thank God mom and dad are out of town.) He led Kathy up the stairs and into his room. He sat her on his bed.
"I'll be right back" Ryan said. Kathy nodded as Ryan left the room.
"I've got to get her dry and warm." Ryan went to the linen closet and took out fresh towel.
He then went to the thermostat and turned on the heater. "Hopefully this will warm her up."
Ryan entered his room and gave Kathy the towel. "Use this to dry off." She stood up and started drying herself off.
Ryan then realized something about Kathy he didn't take notice of when he first met her. She was naked, well in human terms at least. Ryan knew that most Furs didn't wear any clothing, but here was one in his room who happened to be a girl.
Ryan blushed at this realization. (I have to do something to distract myself.) With this he realized that she would need a place to sleep. He went to his closet and pulled out an extra pillow and blanket and laid them on the floor.
"You can sleep on my bed tonight."
"Oh no, I don't want to be a bother. I can sleep on the floor; I'm used to it.
Ryan frowned at that last statement. "No, I insist you sleep on my bed."
"But..."
"No buts" Ryan said as he led Kathy to lie down on his bed. "I just want you to stay warm and get better."
Ryan turned off the lights and started to undress. When he was down to only his boxers he crawled under the blanket on the floor. "Good night Kathy."
"...Good Night."
Ten minutes later Ryan was starting to doze off until he started to get warmer. He opened
his eyes and found Kathy snuggled up against him.
"Kathy? What are you doing?"
"You said you wanted me to stay warm, and that's what I'm doing." Kathy then shifted herself so that she was face-to-face with Ryan.
"You are the weirdest human I have ever met, and I mean that in a good way." She kept pushing herself on to Ryan. Soon she was lying right on top of him. Her breasts pushing against his chest.
"Kathy...?"
"I want to thank you for saving my life."
"It was nothing real-!" Ryan was silenced as Kathy's muzzle came down on his mouth.
Ryan's eyes were wide open. He couldn't believe what was going on. He was kissing a girl whom he had just saved about an hour ago and now she lying ‘naked' with him.
Ryan just closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Kathy's back; bringing her closer to him.

Sorry for the cliffhanger, but I felt I needed to stop it there
Based on where the story is heading, there might be some yiff in the next chapter or so
Although I'm still not sure on how well I could write in yiff
