Raymond was done packing up all the stuff he had, barely any of it had been with him when he lived in his parent's house originally. Gideon was sad that Raymond was going to move back because like Raymond he had enjoyed the feel of Raymond's body heat warming him as well.

"Cya at school hun." Gideon said, kissing Raymond good night. Raymond's mother was sitting in the car, trying to hide the look of disgust on her face. She just found it to hard to accept that her son was gay. She would come around eventually and get used to the idea, Raymond knew that, but if she tried to stick him with a girl he was gonna freak.

It had been a week since Gideon had come home from the hospital Malissa was living back at Craig's house until she got all of her stuff moved out, and it was now November 19th, and Gideon's parents had invited Raymond and his mother for dinner on Thanksgiving. She had gladly accepted since she had no where to go after her mother had died and now that her husband was in prison.

She was angry, surprisingly, that her husband- ex-husband- had tried to hurt their son like that. She had gotten the divorce papers an hour after she found out, no matter how much she disapproved of this relationship between her son and Gideon, Gideon was a good kid and if Raymond was going to be gay at least it was with someone who wouldn't hurt him intentionally.

"No you won't, we don't have school tomorrow. Thanksgiving break. Remember?" Raymond reminded him, slightly disappointed. He would definitely be anxious to see Gideon on Thanksgiving, his mother said they were gonna spend some time together to make up for the weeks that Raymond had been gone.

Raymond gave Gideon one last hug before getting into his mother's Ford, Mercury Tracer. Raymond quickly waved by to Gideon, Clarice, and Carol, not Gideon's father because he was on a business trip until the day before Thanksgiving.

He was always working and it kinda disappointed Gideon that he never got to play basketball with his dad anymore. He remembered when he was younger. His dad had taken him down to the park and held him on his shoulders so that Gideon could slam the basketball through the hoop.

Gideon smiled at the memory and heard the scraping of a car against a curb. He looked up and quickly remembered Raymond, slowly driving away. He managed to wave at Raymond while he was still in his sight range, but just barely.

Once Raymond was around the corner Gideon was kinda sad. He was already anxious to see Raymond again, spending a second without him was painful. Gideon walked inside slowly and sadly. He closed his eyes for a second before entering the door, the evening sun turning his eyelids a bright red.

He plopped down on the couch, instantly joined by Clarice, who reached over and stole the remote just as he was gonna pick it up. "How do you always do that?" He asked her incredulously with a touch of annoyance in his voice, momentarily forgetting the reason why he was sad.

"Easy." Clarice replied, "I'm your older sister and my specialty is annoying you. Plus, your as slow as a turtle when your not playing some sort of sport."

The last part made him scowl at her, a low growl rumbling in his throat. He was shocked at this considering that dragons hadn't actually growled in four hundred years, when they lost the ability to breathe fire. That was still a mystery, just like when they stopped growing wings and tails. Every scientist think that it was a change in some sort of chemical in their mind, because dragons got the ability to breathe fire, got their wings and their tails during puberty.

Clarice looked shocked and horrified, her expression perfectly matching the one on Gideon's face, except Gideon felt amazement as well. He had even more reason to be afraid, considering that if any scientists find out about this he would be strapped to a metal lab table and cut open. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

"W-what was that?" Clarice asked him.

"I d-don't know." Gideon told her, still horrified. The thoughts running through his mind were making him excited and scared. "Don't tell mom and dad. Heaven knows what they will do." Gideon felt like coughing at that moment and he held his hand up to cover his mouth and coughed. He was even more horrified to realize that his breath felt incredibly hot, like the inside of an oven when you were baking a cake or something.

"Mom and dad need to know Gideon." Clarice said, getting angry now. "For all we know what dragons haven't had in four centuries is being reborn now. That's bad! Dragons were feared back then because of those specific traits."

"That's why I don't want anyone to know. It will eventually reach scientists and then they will be knocking down the door trying to get me into a lab to study my brain. I AM NOT a lab rat." Gideon was steadily getting angrier and louder. His mom had woken up and had come downstairs to check on them. She had been standing in the door way, unnoticed, through the whole conversation.

Gideon turned around and saw her standing in the doorway with her eyes wide, shock on her face. Gideon's eyes widened too, realizing that now everybody in his family knew two secrets about him besides his father.

"Mom! How long have you been standing there?" Clarice asked.

"Long enough." She said.

Gideon just stood up, acting like he was going to leave, but he was intercepted by his mother, stopped by her hug. "I don't care what you turn out to be Gideon." She said with a smile. "I accepted you being gay, how could you think I wouldn't except this?" She was calm which surprised Gideon almost as much as this sudden change in puberty.

"Okay. I just need to be alone for a while anyways." Gideon said, walking towards the back door. He walked out into the cool November night, realizing that he hadn't sat outside with Malcise, their Alaskan Malamute, in a while. He walked around to see it shivering. He realized that her stomach was bulging and he had a pretty good guess at what was happening.

He yelled, "SHIT! Mom! Get a blanket."

He ran inside and heard her ask, "What is it?" an urgent sound to her voice.

"Malcise is pregnant." he told her, "and she's going to have her puppies, now." He regretted leaving her outside so much and ignoring her all the time. He would have known otherwise. He ran into his room to get a big, thick blanket out of the closet.

He ran outside and gladly noted that she wasn't having them just yet. He picked her up gently so he wouldn't hurt her. He put her down, very carefully, on the blanket which he had spread out in the living room. His mom was already on the phone with the veterinarian. "Yes, she's pregnant."

He could hear the babbling over the phone. "I don't care if it's 10:30 at night! I'll pay you triple if you get over here now."

The next thing that he heard was a the phone slammed down, obviously missing the receiver, and tires squealing as he sped out of the parking lot of the Vet building. Gideon just laughed at the greedy veterinarian

He was slowly stroking the Malamute, trying to calm her down. She was still shivering and he had an idea. He bent down and coughed lightly over her body. The air warmed around the Malamute's body. She instantly got warmer, her body still shivering slightly having a little bit of a slow time recognizing the cold change to warm.

He was happy about that, the shivering might have caused damage to the puppies. He was still cursing himself over letting this happen. Not just letting her being pregnant go unnoticed but letting her get pregnant in the first place.

He heard the car coming down the street and then the knock on the door. His mom answered the door and the veterinarian stepped in and said, "Where is she?"

"Are you blind? She's right here." Gideon said.

The veterinarian came over and bent down next to her. He felt her nose and said, "She's got a fever. It won't affect the puppies but it will certainly make it harder for her to give birth. You were right, she is going to have them within the hour. There isn't much I can do unless you want to give her something to ease the pain slightly."

Gideon looked at his mom and then back at Malcise. "Don't give them to her. Let her do it naturally."

The veterinarian just said alright and got up. He handed the bill to his mother and said, "You said triple. I'm putting it on your tab."

Carol just smiled and looked at the bill. She laughed uncontrollably. "What is so funny?" Gideon asked her.

"He forgot to put how much we owed him. He just put what he came here to do." Carol said, resuming her laughter.

Gideon joined in her laughter before he heard a yelp and Malcise started panting. "Oh my god. She's having them now."

(Writer message) I don't know exactly what dog's do during birth so I'm just going to skip this part. Sorry :) (End)

About an hour later Malcise was done giving birth and the puppies were all asleep. Clarice came home from wherever she was and was shocked. "Malcise had puppies?!" She said very loudly.

"Shh. She just got done don't wake her damnit. She has to be tired." Gideon hissed.

Clarice walked over to get a closer look. "Awww! They're so cute."

"They will be cuter in about six weeks." Carol said simply. "Who's gonna break the news to your dad that for about three months we are going to be having..." she paused for a moment so she could count the puppies, "eight puppies in our house?"

Gideon sighed and said, "I will I guess. She is mine anyways."

This just added to Gideon's list of problems. He walked up to his room to go to bed, the list of things not being dealt with slowly putting pressure on him. He fell asleep struggling to find a way to reveal to his dad that he was gay.

A week later(Thanksgiving)...

His mother was rushing him to get dressed, still slightly disgusted at being in the same house with two gay guys, even if one was her son. She knew she would deal with it sooner or later but it was gonna take getting used to.

"Come on Raymond, we're gonna be late." He heard his mother call.

He finished up with his hair and walked into the front room. His mother whistled sharply. "You look good." she said.

Raymond just blushed and said, "Let's go, you said we were gonna be late."

His mom just grumbled and started mumbling under her breath that he had turned something she said against herself. They got into their beat up car and drove over to Gideon's house. "You know, I haven't met his father yet."

Raymond just looked at her and said, "He will be there tonight. His name is Ron. Oh ya, and his mothers name is Carol."

His mother just nodded. Raymond felt like he was forgetting something but he couldn't put his finger on it. They pulled into the large blacktop driveway of Gideon's white house. Gideon opened the door when they knocked and smiled at Raymond. "Please come in, Mrs. Zasturfinztin."

Raymond was happy to see Gideon but knew that he couldn't express it with his dad there. Raymond and his mother walked into the dining room where a feast was already set on the table. "Thank you for inviting us over Carol, I realize we haven't been properly introduced. I am Anastacia. You can call me Stacy." She said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you officially Stacy. I see you already know my name and I'm guessing you know my husbands name as well." She looked at Raymond. He just blushed and sat down next to Gideon.

He whispered, "Hiya." to Gideon.

"Hi yourself." Gideon whispered back.

Raymond's mother sat down in between Clarice and Carol. Clarice turned to look at her and smiled. "Raymond obviously forgot me." she looked at Raymond quickly and he stuck his tongue out at her. "I'm Gideon's sister Clarice."

"Nice to meet you Clarice." Stacy said, feeling a little bit more comfortable.

Malissa, sitting across the table, said, "And Raymond hasn't even met me yet so I guess I'm introducing myself to both of you. I'm Malissa. Gideon's other sister, and this is my daughter Madison. Nice to meet you Mrs. Zasturfinztin."

"Nice to meet you too Malissa, and you can call me Stacy." she looked at Madison and said, "And it's very nice to meet you little one." She told her putting a big smile on her face. Madison just laughed.

"So, now that introductions are over, if we could say a prayer we can eat." Ron cut in with a smile.

"I agree," Gideon said, starting to say the prayer. "Thank you lord, for the food you have given us on this Thanksgiving day. Please guide us through the year. Amen." Amen was echoed around the table and Raymond's mother was shocked that Gideon, who was gay, didn't care that he had just prayed to a lord that, according to most religions, hated him for what he was.

Everybody started eating. Not rushing as they passed the dishes around the table. There was all types of food. There was turkey, white and dark meat, corn on the cob, rolls, green beans, asparagus, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and a big bowl of salad.

It was silent during dinner except for the soft clink of forks hitting plates. Once everyone was full conversation started. "That was good Carol."

Carol just smiled and said, "Don't look at me, Gideon and Ron cooked it all."

Gideon blushed and Ron just chuckled. "I wouldn't trust Carol with a turkey if I was in a hospital bed."

Carol slapped him playfully. "So, uh, how did you cope with having a gay son?"

The atmosphere suddenly dropped to the temperature of ice. "Excuse me?" Ron asked.

"Your son, Gideon, he's gay, how did you cope with it?" Stacy asked.

Ron just looked at Gideon who had looked down, tears starting to form in his eyes. Raymond was looking down also, ashamed that he had forgotten to tell his mother that Gideon's father didn't know yet.

"I didn't know." Ron said coldly.

Stacy instantly felt the tension and said, "Ok Raymond, I would say it's time we go home." She turned out Ron and Carol, "Thank you for inviting us over."

Stacy had to drag Raymond out of the house. Back inside the house Everyone except for Carol, Clarice, Ron, and Gideon had left the room. "Please tell me she was lying." Ron said.

"She wasn't." Gideon said simply, looking at his dad with his head held high. He realized that getting teary wouldn't get him anywhere. "I'm proud of who I am dad. You can't change me whether you want to or not."

"How long?" His dad asked him simply.

"Since I was eleven." Gideon said, his voice still calm.

Ron just sat there and then said, "I want you out."

That instantly brought out the maternal side of Carol. "We are not losing another son because you can't stand gay people. He is still our son."

Ron just ignored her and raised his hand. "If you're not out of here in one minute, I'm going to slap the shit out of you."

Gideon just sat there looking at his watch. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." He looked up in time to see his father's hand fall to his face. Just before it hit, however, Clarice's arm was in front of his face.

Gideon's father looked shocked and said. "What are you doing Clarice?"

"You aren't touching my baby brother." she said simply. "If he leaves, then I leave."

Ron was even more shocked at this and considered if his son being gay was a good reason to lose his daughter too. He said. "Fine, I guess I'll get used to it." After this sentence he just walked out the door, obviously going to a bar to get over this. He wasn't a drunk but whenever he had figured something out that stressed him out he spent all night at a bar.

Gideon started trembling then broke down crying. Carol came over to him and started comforting him. "It could have been worse." Carol thought for a minute. "A lot worse."

"He wasn't supposed to find out like that." Gideon sobbed.

"You were luckier than your older brother." Carol said before realizing he didn't know about him.

"I have an older brother?" Gideon said shocked.

"Perfect." Carol muttered to herself. "Yes you do. He was kicked out before Clarice was born."

Carol was crying now. She hated remembering her eldest son. She slowly got over it. "If you don't mind, I don't like remembering him. He's gone now and we don't know where he is."

"Okay." Gideon said, still crying.

Malissa came down the stairs and said, "Maybe everyone should be in bed before dad gets home."

"That's a good idea." Clarice said. Clarice helped Gideon get upstairs to his room. He could barely walk because of the sobs that were racking his body.

Clarice slowly helped him lie down in his bed. "It's going to be alright." Clarice told him.

She sat there with him until he cried himself to sleep. He couldn't believe that his father had found out. Clarice stood up and sneaked to her room. She still couldn't believe that she had an older brother. She was thinking about him when she fell asleep.
