_This story will contain some made up cards but the effect of each will be explained as well as some normal cards I have used in my own duels. _

The Full Moon gazed down upon the expanse of the city and if it had the ability to form a thought it might have wondered at how it's light lit and danced along the fur of a nine tailed fox with cherry blossom tattoos. The fox was wearing a kimono which was the first thing one might notice and the second if one possessed acute night vision would be the silent tears. On his arm was a pink duel disk looking as if it was formed of cherry blossoms showing the fox to be a duelist. His fur color was of the deepest blue and the tattoos kissed it with a deep form of pink. These however were not done in a shop or from any type of dye these were the fox's birthmarks.

The reason he is crying this night is that Alec his former love of one year broke his heart this night.The fox caught him with another person in bed and his former love tried to make excuses or brush it away and Kyle would not stand for that. Not only was the person he caught him with younger than the fox but a friend to boot. Needless to say that the friend is not considered a friend anymore and the fox is home in his own apartment this night alone, aching, and suffering from a broken heart and so much pain.

His name if anyone cared to ask it would be Kyle but tonight as the moon kissed along his fur He embraced his other name with both arms and all that Kyle had even been was forcibly buried deep within him and he fiercely wiped at his eyes to clear his vision There was work to be done, vengeance to be enacted and though he usually is not a violent person, tonight would be an exception.His warm gentle blue eyes faded to be replaces with icy depths of winter which promised pain. Out came the deck he had so lovingly put together over the years.It's flowers and gentleness not wanted on this night. In came the deck that He would never thought he would use one that would ensure he could make his opponent bleed slowly killing them.

When it was slammed home the duel disk danced to life and a single command spoken in the night brought up a map. "Locate Alec!" An electronic female voice answered. "Target Acquired. Sending Coordinates." Such an AI was not standard with duel disks. Sukura's friend Sayomi had given him the AI and with it his duel disk allowed him to collect data and replay past duels. He could also with some convincing force someone to engage in a duel if he could find them via Duel disk.

Sukura the blue fox of nine tails and cherry blossoms paused for a brief moment to close his eyes. "Dear Moon If you can hear me this night may your light guide my way.Shine down and hold me in your arms this night.Had I known what was to happen this night I would have never been involved with Alec. His voice was soft and it was a major change from what came next. "Duel mode override engage 16000 life points is the limit."

Across the city on another rooftop was a gothic boy sipping a beer. He wasn't to far drunk but he did seem to be troubled by something. However when his duel disk activated by it's own and the hologram projectors shot off to the side He turned in shock. The hologram of a dark blue fox was across from him his eyes cold and his fangs bared.

"Kyle?" breathed the boy. "You've lost the right to say that name Alec. Tonight your going to lose a lot more than your heart. Twice you betrayed me and tonight I'm having my Vengeance." Alec as that's who the boy was smirked. "Oh I don't think so Flower Boy." Sukura laughed hard and cold. "You've seen the first deck that Kyle ever made that's true. But you've never seen Kyle angry. You've never seen what happens when your former love loses his temper."

Alec looked at the fox standing across from him and felt the tiniest prickle of fear as he might as well be talking to a stranger. "Enough talking. Let's duel! Oh and as a special treat for you Alec well I'm not holding back. I'm not concealing my abilities anymore." The fox seemed To be surrounded by a flowing pink energy and he sighed with relief. Alec observed this unimpressed. "Some light show is not going to throw me off." he said his voice sounding strong. "Oh it will Alec it will." Sukura said almost in promise.

Both duelists drew their cards unaware that their battle had been caught by a third party. A reporter by the name of Miranda Blake. Her cameraman Henry Jones was already beginning to capture the duel. Miranda's voice came from off camera to narrate the duel as it was sent to the local news station and then bounced onto the air waves. Duels after all made this world go round and the underground duels were the stuff of city legend and would get her station many ratings.

A black furred wolf with green ear fur and purple on his paws happened to be watching the station at this time and so the opening statements of the duel made him pause instead of changing the channel like he intended too he turned the volume up and made himself comfortable to watch the duel. He did however raise an eyebrow at the 16,000 life points.

"It appears that the Fox has a personal squabble with his opponent. In analyzing their duel disks we learned that the name of the Fox was Kyle. However during the beginning of the duel his duel disk registered his name as Sukura. According to old records Kyle uses plant based monsters. However in the opening remarks of this duel it was mentioned by Sukura that this was a deck that has never seen the light of day until now. A deck that was made in secret that was never intended to be used.Just who is this Sukura?"

His opponent is registered via duel disk as Alec. Known to use an assortment of dark angles to do his bidding. This seems to be more than a simple duel though if the cloud of unknown energy around Sukura is any indication the fox might have been hiding psychic powers for years. As you all know with psychic duelists anything can and will happen."

The fox and the goth paid no attention to the voice that spoke and named them. "Since you broke my heart tonight Alec I think I'll have the first move." Said Sukura drawing 6 cards from his deck and then looking at them. "I play two Spell Cards The Dark Door and Vengeful Bog Spirit and I throw one card face down. Now you can't attack the first turn you summon a monster and you can only attack once." The fox set a monster (placed it face down in defense mode) and then said "Your move Angel."

Miranda kept silent as the gothic Alec drew his card. As he entered his main phase Sukura opened his face down. The duel disk AI informed him of it's effect "Skull Invitation. A continuous Trap card that makes you and your opponent loose 300 life points for every card sent to the graveyard." Alec just shook his head. "A weak opening move Sukura." he taunted as he glanced down at his cards.

"The insults are really flying between these two. Let's see if they have the cards to back them up."I summon Dark Angel Iris in Attack Mode. When this card is summoned I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower level monster from my deck in defense mode and I choose Dark Angel Suzy." On the field a dark purple petal fell before an angel with black wings and silver armor with a busty chest piece and dark grey silvery skin smirked at Sukura with it's purple eyes. It had 1800 Attack Points and 200 Defense points. Dark Angel Suzy had the same dark wings but with red hair and eyes with the same color skin as Iris but dark red armor. It was in defense mode with 1500 defense points but it's effect made Sukura's monsters loose 500 attack and defense per Dark Angel Card on the field.Iris is a Level 4 card and Dark Angel Suzy was a level 3.

"Impressive opening move by Alec. However Sukura does not even appeared to be worried. This is the first time I have seen these cards in action and I admit I'm impressed. She continued to watch the field as Alec pulled a card from his hand and placed it face down in the Spell and Trap Card Zone. "I end my turn Flower Boy."

The wolf who had been watching the duel unfold was named Pengu and he decided to take notes on the duel and hastily outlined some things about the opening moves of both duelists before Sukura began his turn. When his main phase began Sukura said "I Flip Summon Needle Worm causing you to lose the top 5 cards of your deck." The cards were immediately discarded and then a skeletal hand appeared in front of Alec five times and five times he screamed in pain as the envelope turned red. "Oh I'm not sorry. Did you feel the sting Alec?"

Alec's voice was shocked. "I'm bleeding!" "Of course you're bleeding Alec. Emotions made real. You've just been cut by Pain. Now you will feel the burn of Anger. I summon Psychic Commander to the field. I tune the two monster's together to lose 600 life points and Synchro Summon Magical Android in Attack Mode." Psychic Commander was a level 3 tuner monster and Needle worm was a level two non-tuner monster which allowed Sukura to summon the level 5 Synchro Monster.

This monster had 2400 attack points and 1700 defense points. It's effect also granted him 600 life points times the number of psychic monsters on the field when he ended his turn. (A Synchro summon uses a special type of monster known as a tuner monster in order to synchro summon a Synchro Monster. The tuner and non tuner monster's must have the same level as the synchro monster and are sent to the graveyard when the summon occurs which is why Sukura lost 600 life points)

"I also activate the twin spell cards Toll and Chain Energy. Now you have to pay 500 life points when you want to attack and every card you play will weaken you." Sukura was in the lead with 15,400 Life points While Alec had 14,500 life points. "I end my turn which activates my Monster's effect which heals me for 600 points times the number of psychic monsters on the field and since I already have one I now have 16000 life points even."

Alec gave a huff of annoyance. "That won't stop me from playing cards Sukura. "It's not supposed to. It's just supposed to add up." He replied chuckling. Alec drew his card and then glanced at his hand. "I open my face down card Dark Angel Feather. When this card is activated if one of my dark angel cards is destroyed it gets to take one of your cards with it."

"Suicide diving will cost you Alec" said Sukura with a smile. Alec grinned. "Your going to lose 700 life points. Cuase your android only has 1400 atk points and my Iris has 1800." "Oh am I now? Well why don't you attack and find out?" Alec scowled and moved to attack. Sukura smiled as he activated battle fader from his hand ending the battle phase.

"I told you." replied Sukura his battle fader's attack points and defense points at zero and it was in defense mode. Playing this card special summoned it from your hand and it ended the battle phase for your opponent stopping them from attacking. When the card was destroyed it would be banished instead of sent to the graveyard.

Alec ended his turn with a scowl and Sukura drew his next card. He glanced at the field and switched his android to defense mode and then summoned psychic snail from his hand in attack mode. Doing to the effect of vengeful bog it couldn't attack this turn and it was also weakened by dark angle Suzy's ability. Sukura however could stand to wait so he ended his turn with 15,500 life points but gained back 1200 due to android's effect. leaving him with 16,700 life points.

"What will run out first Alec? Your life points, your blood or your cards?" said Sukura as his turn ended. "Well you can't surprise me anymore. Your whole spell and trap card zone is taken up." Replied Alec before he said "I summon another Dark Angel Suzy from my hand and with it I build the overlay network to Xzy Summon Dark Angel Keith" A giant Monster appeared with dark feathers and two yellow orbs circling it. It craned it's head down to look at Sukura who looked unimpressed. "So you can send two cards from my field to the graveyard and that monster has zero attack points. Am I supposed to be impressed somewhere along the line?" remarked Sukura.

Alec made his choices sending both Chain Energy and Toll to the graveyard. " You just lost 600 life points as well to activate that effect.Though I did lose 600 points as well so that evens out." "Right again however due to dark angel feather's effect..." "Oh no you don't Alec. That effect only works if I destroy them. And I didn't you did so no go. "

"You've only got 48 cards left in your deck and I have 52 so that puts me at the advantage there." "It's not the amount of cards that matter Sukura. It's how they are used. " "Hmmm your right." the fox replied and grinned lightly. "So I'm 600 points down big whoop." Alex ended his turn since he couldn't attack and Sukura drew a card.

"Thank you by the way for opening up my field. I throw two cards face down and then I set one card face down in defense mode." The fox finished his turn by regaining the life points he lost as a result of the two cards being lost from before plus 600 more. He looked as if he was sitting in a good spot.

"You'll regret not attacking me." "I will in time, All good things come to those who wait." Alec examined his hand looking for a way to get rid of that magical android. He found it and set a card face down in defense mode and switched Kieth to defense mode too the giant being taking on a blue hue to indicate such. He ended his turn and then looked towards Sukura who switched Android to Attack mode and then activated his face down which was safe zone to keep Android safe from being destroyed by battle or card effects.

Alec snarled at such his plan foiled for the android but still able to take out the other face down if needed with the flip effect. Sukura calmly obliterated Keith which made Alec lose another 300 life points leaving him with 13,600 life points while Sukura was ahead by 3700 life points. He would have attacked Alec's other face down with psychic snail revealing it if dark door wasn't still in play. Now Alec had 13,600 life points left and with the ending of Sukura's turn he now had 18,500 life points.

The wolf had been taking detailed notes all this time as he was a reporter in his own way and He couldn't deny something about the dueling fox attracted him even if the fox was heartbroken the fox's strength is appealing to the wolf. He resolved to start following him with his stories if the Fox made more appearances on the news.

The wolf resumed his notes as Sukura ended his turn and gained more life points leaving him with 18,200. _If this keeps up his life point totals will soar to tremendous heights by duel's end _ The wolf thought as the Dark Angel began his turn.

From the look on his face Alec didn't draw the card he wanted and so he flipped up his face down card and used it to destroy psychic snail costing Sukura 300 life points. As he did that Sukura opened his face down which was needle wall which would activate on Sukura's next turn rolling a die and if it rolled a 6 it got a re-rolled from Sukura's right Alec's monster's zones would be numbered and if the die rolled say a 3 and there was a monster in that spot then the monster would be destroyed. It would only activate if a monster was on the field however and only on Sukura's turn.

Alex gritted his teeth thoroughly annoyed and glanced at his hand. He had nothing he could use this turn but he did throw a card into his spell and trap zone before ending his turn. Sukura drew and glanced through his hand. Needle wall activated but it come up as a 2 so Alec just escaped having his bug being destroyed. He summoned Krebons in attack mode and then entered the battle phase attacking with it. Krebons had 1200 attack points and 800 defense points. If it was attacked Sukura could pay 800 life points to negate the attack.

He activated psychic snails ability and used it on Krebons which would allow him to attack twice at the cost of 800 of Sukura's life points leaving him with 17,800. Krebons performed the double attack and Evidently Alec's facedown wasn't of any use as the first attack hit and normally the dark door would have stopped any further attacks but thanks to psychic snail the first attack hit and blew up man eater bug which damaged Alec for 750 plus the 300 for it being sent to the graveyard plus another 1200 which made him lose a total of 2250 life points in one attack. So for now Alec had 11,350 life points left.

Sukura still had the advantage in cards, life points and the amount of cards in his deck. When the direct attack from Krebons hit Alec the goth's jacket caught fire. "Oh I forgot to mention that Krebons doesn't like liars." said Sukura as Alec tried to tap it out with his hands but eventually had to get out of the jacket completely. As Sukura's turn ended he recovered 1800 life points and Now his total was 19,600 Almost 7000 points higher than Alec's.

"That was my favorite Jacket!" He said looking pissed. "Oh more's the pity. Maybe I'll have Krebons burn your boxer's next." Said Sukura with a dark chuckle. Alec went white hearing such. "Oh don't worry you tease. I have to burn your jeans first but come next turn that is going to be easy to accomplish."

Miranda who had been mostly silent until this point watching the duel winced. "Unless Alec can pull feather out of his hat he is going to be burned to death." Sadly Alec didn't have a feather. He did however open his face down which was life absorbing machine which would recover half of the life points he lost last turn on every turn after this. He drew his card leaving his deck total at 45 and summoned Dark Angel Vannessa and had to discard a card from his hand to the graveyard making his feel the sting of skull invitation but as he took the damage Vannessa's Wings lit up. Vanessa was sleeker than his earlier angels and she had an almost kind face. She had 1900 attack points and 1200 defense points. Her effect would partially heal Alec for any effect damage he took and double any affect damage Sukura took but at the cost of Alec having to discard once every turn. If Alec failed to discard the card would self destruct and it would refund all the damage it had saved him from. It was in monster card zone 3 so if Needle wall got lucky next turn Dark Angel Vannessa would be crushed and Alec would be open to having Krebons burn him again.

Sukura drew his card for the turn reducing his deck total down to 49 and then Needle Wall activated. Sukura glanced at the card he drew and then looked at his field it was a card he couldn't play and he didn't have anything useful in his hand. He glanced up in time to see the dice face up on three and needle wall crushed Dark Angel Vannessa which made Alec loose 300 life points from the refund and another 300 due to skull invitation which left him with 10,750 life points.

Sukura entered the battle phase and launched another attack with Krebons and true to his word Alec's jeans got lit on fire.In addition to the loss of his clothing and the night chill Alec now only had 9,550 life points left Sukura ended his turn and gained 1800 more life points making his total an impressive 21,400. He was clearly winning and he looked confident and in control.
