#12 of Black Death

Sorry for the long wait on a new update, several different things were taking my attention and time away from writing, though hopefully with classes starting again soon I might gain a little more free time, here's hoping at least. >.>

~ ~ Fenrir's POV ~ ~

"I must admit, Fenrir, you never seem to cease to surprise me."

"Oh? Are you referring to my fight with the jackal last week Daniel?"

"Mmmph, if that was the only thing I don't think we'd actually be talking. When you inserted your own student information into the registry, of course I couldn't help myself to see what all such a strange... ungh, that was nice... and interesting person like yourself put into it. And boy was I surprised to see just how much you actually entered."

I couldn't help smirking at that, knowing just what all I had written in for Obelisk to upload into the Academy's databases. Then again, words can only say so much, and as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

"So you chose to take a little advance of me listing masseur to also have a little talk with me about thing, hmm? What a devious lion you are."

I couldn't help chuckling a little at how strange it must seem to see a student giving his Head Master a personal massage in his office, much less somehow managing to convince him to strip entirely naked to boot for the thing. My paws roamed across his broad muscular back, fingers pressing deep into the muscles and tissue underneath that finely kept coat of golden fur, and making the big cat groan again in relief as another troublesome knot seemed to melt away.

"The same could be said of you, talking me into being naked in front of a student, and another male at that when I'm straight and married. But damn it if it isn't worth it for this."

He was purring in relief as my fingers kneaded across his lower back, rubbing away weeks or even months of built-up stress and tension, more than likely the latter from his tense his muscles were feeling at the moment.

"It is the most effective way to do it, so I make it a point that anyone that wants them has to have stripped so I can keep everywhere. You'd be surprised at just where some unknown spots of tension can grow, like right here."

He groaned as I pressed my thumb onto the top of one of his buttcheeks and pressed in, digging into the muscles and rubbing it back and forth as I found a hidden knot the lion probably never knew he had.

"Ffffffffuck, when the heck did you even manage to figure this out while you were travelling? Wait, no, on second though I don't want to know, there are more important things to discuss and we unfortunately don't have a whole lot of time."

My fingers continued to rub and knead across Daniel's lower back as I watched him reach over to his desk and pull over a small manila folder. He pulled it back over and propped himself up on one elbow as he opened it, likely to look over the content one more time.

"PPUUUURRRR, aside from this remarkably excellent massage, I wanted to see about setting you up for your first mission here after seeing you fight against Pharaoh last week along with all of the stuff you uploaded onto your student information section."

Ah, so that's what your game was Daniel.

It makes sense now why he wanted me to come up here, not just for the massage but also to see about my first job with him. Sounds like this'll be interesting and busy afternoon.

"So what are the details then?"

"Heh, straight to the point huh? Guess I shouldn't be surprised. The mission is one of subjugation and relocation to a certain extent. There is a remote mountain village in a southern part of the Argentina and Chile border that is currently being harassed by a... I guess pack would be the best term to use for canines like you. Anyways, this pack consists of a rare species of boar known simply as Tusk Smashers."

"Can't say I have heard of them."

"Not too surprising, actually. They are one of the animal mutations from the generations of evolutions that created us, and so rarely seen outside of the large forests in the upper parts of South America that most just forget about them. They're known as Tusk Smashers because they are still four-legged and so large in size they dwarf us and can use their tusks to topple even trees. They're pretty tough juggernauts when angry and rushing at you like a train."

"Sounds like this'll be a pretty cautious mission from what I've heard so far."

"Yes, and unfortunately instances like this is very rare. In fact, this is only the second case of them being involved in a mission, so despite my intent, I can't really give you a whole lot of information to work with."

That brought a smirk to my face, really it didn't sound too hard, but the lack of info on the subjects was going to make things a little more difficult. But really, that'll just makes the whole mission more interesting.

"Oh, and before I forget, I was hoping to ask you if you wouldn't mind taking some newly promoted Gammas along with you on this mission."

Now that was surprising, he wants me to take some newbies out on this? This I just have to hear about.

"New Gammas? If they are new than shouldn't they work on something simpler than an unknown mission like this?"

"Normally, yes, I wouldn't send barely trained individuals out on something dangerous like this. But you pose a very special circumstance that helps things out."

"And that would mean?"

"Well, according to the rules, an Omega is unable to go on missions unless they are accompanied by at least three Gammas or two Beta and their particular skills are necessary for the job. Regrettably you are classified as an Omega regardless of how strong you actually are because you're not really a Super like the rest of us. So with those two you came in with, and these two, you can go on this mission. And if you manage to form a team with someone else along with your snow leopard and rabbit, then you are able to freely leave for missions whenever you wish."

Well, guess that makes some sense. That rule is going to be a real pain in the tails now that I know about it. But it looks like he hasn't been told I decided to make a team with Cecil and Snow, not that is does a whole lot of good now...

"But that doesn't explain why you're pairing them up with me and my boys Daniel."

"Oh, yes, sorry about that. The idea for all of this only came to me because I went to talk with Reshef after your fight with him in the infirmary, and he told me about how you had seemingly planed the whole things out. How you were always able to counter him and push him past the critical point into the Beta class, and even your comment at the end about how he could better control his soldiers with emotion. That got me to thinking of pairing you with some new Gammas to see if you could help train them."

So that's what you were after, sly old cat.

Testing me to see what all I am capable of, even after I had filled that info sheet out. Looks like I won't be seeing the end of strange situations and coincident any time soon.

"Well, doesn't seem like I have much choice with this, and not like I can find someone else anytime soon. Guess I'll go talk with Cecil and Snow to make sure that we can have everything set up to leave on time."

"Excellent, glad to hear you ok with it... But... um, before you go, would you mind finishing the massage, Fenrir?"

The slightly embarrassed look on his face made me chuckle again, before my paws started roaming across his back again and making the lion groan in mild pleasure all over again. Heh, looks like we might be a little late for our flight.

~ ~ **** ~ ~

"So do either of you guys know anything about these... Wheeler brothers we're going to be taking along with us?"

I watched as both Cecil and Snow shrugged their shoulders at the question, each one with a carry-on duffle bag full of stuff slung across their chests while my own was resting in my paw as we walked through across the school's flight deck. Whatever the principal was thinking about this was both obvious and beyond me, getting me to team up with two unknown guys that had only just recently evolved to the Gamma level and try to teach them a thing or two. While it wasn't really anything difficult to worry about, it was still very odd and sudden. I could only hope that they were decent enough and not hard of learning.

Deciding that there was nothing that I could do about it at this point, I gave up thinking about it and continued walking across the airport's strip to one of the many small planes the academy uses for transportation. Even though I had passed through before when first coming here, I really hadn't paid a lot of attention to everything. It was a good deal larger than one might have thought proper for even an academy of this size, but considering the nature of it and the number of students going on missions all of the time, the size is actually almost perfect. And it really had so many of these planes, many of them identical and standard while others seemed to be customized, perhaps for the exclusive use of certain teams.

"That reminds me, which plane were we supposed to take again?"

"The mission guide says we're using number 51... and I believe that's it just up ahead, with the Wheelers too it would seem."

As soon as I heard Cecil say that, my eyes shifted forward again to the see the plane marked with the number 51 sitting on the tarmac about twenty more feet ahead along with two other planes nearby also ready for takeoff, and standing next to ours were three figures. From what I could tell, the shortest of the trio was the pilot, a mouse with unusually red fur dressed in the typical blue uniform any pilot would wear, though it was fitted for his shorter stature. That left the other two, a pair of snakes with green scales all over their bodies.

Snakes eh? Well that is interesting in itself since their trademarks are flexibility, but that's likely not what their power will be about. For twins to work together like this they likely have a shared or complimentary power.

It was the mouse that was the first to notice us walking up, his already smiling face growing brighter somehow as he pointed us out to the twins before stepping up to greet us, shaking each of our paws with his own in an excited yet polite manner.

"Hello you three, I take it three are Cecil, Snow, and Fenrir?"

As the last to have his paw shaken, it was Cecil that spoke up for us.

"That would be us, and you're our pilot?"

"Yes I am, my name is Blake and I'll be flying the five of you it would seem. These here are the other two that have been waiting with me, Reiner and Tobias Wheeler."

The two serpents stepped forward to join us as their names were mentioned, flashing as cheerful smiles and one giving a partial wave. Now that I got a closer look at them, I could tell they were anacondas and virtually identical in appearance, slender raver-like builds with long swaying tails behind them. And the only physical difference between the two that I could tell was that one of them had red eyes while the other had blue, which was a coincidence since those are the same two colors of my own eyes, even if the shades are different. It was the one with red eyes that spoke up first.

"Nice to meet you guys, even if it's under strange circumstances like this. Like Blake here said, I'm Reiner and this is Tobias, though you can call us Rein and Toby if you want. I know we just got promoted to Gammas, but we hope you will still let us help where we can even though out power isn't really suited for combat or anything."

"Power huh? Singular, so their skills are shared between them and they're not specialized for anything battle-related. Useful little tidbits there boys, and I wonder if their identical mental lights are really just because they're twins.

It was strange to be sure, just like the lights around my mates and myself were synced because we're meant for one another, these two share the same phenomena between each other. I've meant twins and even triplets before in my travels, but I don't recall any of them being as similar to one another as these two are, there were a few pretty close but even they can't compare to this. But before I could finish contemplating exactly what the closeness could mean, Blake spoke up again, slipping around behind us and ushering everyone towards the staircase of his plane.

"Alright people, enough dilly-dallying outside. We're scheduled to take off shortly and we have over four hours of flying to get better acquainted with one another."

I couldn't help chuckling to myself at how the strange red mouse still seemed to be in such an upbeat mood, even as he was pushing us all into his plane. Heh, it just keeps getting more and more interesting here...

~ ~ **** ~ ~

"There you all are, if anything else is needed just feel free to ask. The school likes to keep our supplies well stocked for every trip, you guys always have big appetites after all. Oh, and my name is Shadow by the way."

The wolf was cheerful as he stepped away after providing us with drinks and snacks, his black tail wagging above the stewardess skirt-clad rump as he picked up another tray and disappeared into the cockpit with our mouse pilot. His carefree and happy mood about being seem cross-dressing was actually pretty amusing as I watched my mates and the twins blush at Shadow's openness in wearing female clothes.

Heh, you really pick an amusing pair for our flight crew Daniel. Gonna have to think you for letting me see this many blushing faces.

"Now then boys, before we get too comfortable and into our flight, why don't you introduce yourselves and tell us some things about you?"

"Uhh... ok."

The snakes still looked a little sheepish about seeing Shadow in his outfit, but seemed to pull themselves together quickly enough to try and introduce themselves. They looked at one another before Reiner looked back to my mates and eye, a nervous smile on his short muzzle.

"Well, the two of us are rather simple guys. We usually tried to keep to ourselves since we were still in the Delta class and didn't know any other twin at the academy, even now that we're in the Gamma class we still wouldn't normally do this since we just prefer our own company."

"But since it was the Head Master's decision and we really have been looking forward to getting to go on a mission for so long, we decided to go along with it. And after seeing it was you Fenrir, that we were gonna be teamed up with, we knew it would be alright, considering how well you beat the Pharaoh the other day."

"So you saw his fight too?!" Cecil questioned excitedly, bounding in his seat. "It was so cool wasn't it?"

We all turned to look at the grinning snow leopard, and it seemed that was all it took for the brothers to relax around us, cause right after that they started to open up a little more with Cecil and Snow leading the conversation instead. Guess I really shouldn't have been surprised, the two of them are much more like the twins than I am, perhaps they would be able to bring them out of their shells.

One thing still bothers me about them though, it's too strange for even twins and triplets to be almost identical like that. There is only one reason I can imagine they have this sort of identical aurora of mental lights... now just to wait for a chance to ask the two about it.

The talking continued on, back and forth over the next half-hour before we saw Shadow return from the cockpit, adjusting his stewardess skirt and straightening out some wrinkles as he smiled and walked by us to one of the rooms in the back. It was only once the wolf was out of sight that Cecil leaned in to whisper something to Snow, both of them talking lightly until they both shrugged like they were unsure and stood up together.

"Sorry guys, seeing Shadow reminded me of something and both Snow and I can't recall if we packed it into our bags. We'll go and check real quick."

"If you two say so, hope it's there whatever it is."

The two of them both chuckle at my little comment, slipping around the couch and going into the room we dropped out things in, leaving me alone with the twins. Heh, couldn't have asked for a better situation to get my answers. I thought, smirking as I leaned forward, propping my arm up on my leg and resting my chin on my paw.

"Well, now that we have been left alone, perhaps I can get some answers to a few questions I have for the two of you."

"U-uh, what would those be Fenrir."

They both tensed up slightly and leaned closer together, lightly in response to the sudden serious shift in my voice. It might have been a little cruel of me, but that little reaction and sight were pretty amusing to see since they weren't much younger than I was to being with.

"While I would like to start things off with getting you to explain what sort of power you both have so I can help you advance yourselves in using it, considering that's one of the main reasons we've all been put together, there is something else that interests me more. So answer me this, besides being brothers, and twins at that, you boys are incestuous lovers too are you not?"
