Chapter Five: Time of the Vampires

Arlo woke up with a jolt. The salamander tried to remember what happened, his head hurt and his memories were foggy. He was on some sort of gameshow, he somehow beat Tom David-Bakerson at his own game and he was about to win the prize.

He remembered Carr saying something about a prize and then the game brought out a box. "Now ten million dollars will be donated to the charity of your choice, but first we like to give a little something to our winner, because you did a good job." Robotic Jimmy Carr said as Arlo won the game. The game assistants brought out a massive box that looked wrapped like a present.

The suddenly Darian Cuban, who Arlo thought was still imprisoned jumped out of the box and knocked him out. He had no idea how Darian knew he was there, or how he even escaped prison.

However, Arlo focused on the present and looked around. He was in some sort of prison cell. He had no idea how he got inside the cell or what he was doing their but he knew he had to get out.

The wall was pure black except for some lines that seemed to be the color scheme emitting a tiny amount of light, there was enough light that he could still see though. Blocking his exit from the cell was a yellow transparent wall.

Arlo walked up to the wall and figured if he could give it a hard enough hit, that he might be able to break the field. He walked forward and placed his hand on the shield. However, to his surprise his hand passed through the shield.

Energy passed through his hand and it shocked him a bit but he was able to pass through the shield. As he did so he realized that he was able to create an umbrella effect when his body passed through the shield.

He looked around there was nobody around the ship. It seemed eerily quiet, he felt if a pin dropped it might have shattered his eardrums. Arlo looked around figuring that if there was no one around there were no guards.

He walked through the hallways, looking at all the empty cells. He had no idea for how long he travelled, or how far he travelled. He did not know if he was making progress or if he was walking around in circles.

He finally found a window and ran up to the glass opening. He looked outside and found that he was looking at nothing. There was a black ground to everything until he realized that he was in space. He saw a tiny blue circle in the corner of the window and he realized that they were orbiting around the earth; almost all of human civilization was in his viewing.

He had no idea why the vampires would take them to space, how would that help them at all. He backed away from the window wondering what was happening, he looked down the hallway and there was another cell.

He walked towards the familiar glow of the cell and found himself looking at the tiny shark inside the cell. The shark had no idea what was going on and appeared to be almost ignoring Arlo.

"Hey kid, are you all right in there?" Arlo said as he poked his head through the barrier, his neck burning as he looked around the cell.

"Wait you got through the cell, how'd you managed to do that!" The shark said standing up and almost trying to visualize the salamander before him. "Ughh, I can't see like I'm used to."

"It's okay who are looking for?" Arlo said being nice with the shark as he grabbed the kid's hand and pulled him out of the cell and into the hallway.

"Well this might sound a bit ridiculous, but I am looking for a large goblin like creature. He's going to be trapped in a cell like me." The kid said as he started to pulling Arlo down a hallway.

However, Arlo was surprised, when he heard the sound of boots marching down a hallway. He grabbed the shark and pushed him into an empty cell, as they reached another interception.

"What are we going to do with the rest of them; I've already turned one of them into a vampire." Arlo heard Darian speak as he hid. The vampire was walking down the hallway, next to a larger person. He could feel it in the vibrations of the ground.

"Kill the rest of them, after we deal with this. We're going to teleport down to Earth, tell the armies to capture anyone that gives themselves up or fights back. Kill anyone that runs, bring the captures up here so we can deal with them." The tiny shark seemed frightened by the large voice, but Arlo had no idea who he was dealing with. "Go get the mobile teleporter for the captures."

Arlo and the tiny shark waited a few moments as Darian turned around towards them again.

"Become a vampire they said, it'd be easy they said." Darian said as he passed the interception again and didn't notice Arlo or the shark. Arlo took a breath and pulled the young shark out of the cell. He looked around the ship and the coast seemed to be clear.

Arlo walked forward and through the intersection, and into a different section of the ship. Arlo wondered why they would have a massive ship, without all the cells filled or something more useful in the empty space.

It was like the ship was designed to be a maze with all the random corners and dark color plate. Arlo looked behind himself and found the shark had disappeared. His heart sunk, there was no way he'd be able to retrace his steps.

Arlo continued forward looking around hoping that he would bump back into the shark or someone who had an idea of the ship's layout. He continued on going for minutes or seconds, some unknown amount of time perceived by Arlo.

"Someone has to be in here, this can't be pure space. Where is everyone, please don't let me be the only person here." Arlo said as he walked through the hallways waiting for something to happen.

He waited and then suddenly a knocking sound, he turned around and there was another cell. He somehow passed the cell and didn't notice. He looked inside the cell and their was a strange massive create, that almost looked like a goblin.

"The little shark was right." Arlo said as he looked in the cell. It was impossible for someone like that to exist. The person looked like they were an alien, then again given he was a spotted salamander it wouldn't be that off.

"How'd you get out of your cell?" The goblin creature asked as it stood up and looked at Arlo somehow escaping captivity.

"I don't know how, I just passed through." Arlo said as he passed his finger through the shield and opened a gap. The goblin looked confused and slammed his hand against the shield, before it got knocked off with an energy burst.

"What's happening here?" The goblin said as Arlo put his entire body through and created the gap. The goblin that seemed taller than Arlo, ducked under the salamander's arm and entered the hallway.

"I can feel someone near me, it has to be him." The goblin said grabbing Arlo. The goblin pulled Arlo through the hallways at an almost supersonic pace. They arrived a dead end but this time there was some else at the end of the hallway.

In the cage was Sarah, who was using her powers on herself. She looked harmed there was blood on her shirt. Arlo looked closer and there was a massive hole in the Labrador's chest. She was groaning as she attempted to heal herself.

"Sarah, don't worry I can save you." Arlo said as he banged against the wall of the shield. He realized that he didn't pass through the shield and looked at his hands. He felt different, more powerful as if he could do anything.

"Arlo, please don't worry about me. I will only slow you down. Go find Virgil, he can help you." Sarah said as she turned away from Arlo, trying to get him to leave.

"Don' worry, I'll come back for you I promise." Arlo said as the goblin creature who had remained quiet grabbed his hand again and started to pull him again.

"I can feel him, we're almost their Arlo don't worry!" The goblin said as he pulled the salamander further through the ship, they arrived in a circular room. They looked around and found the room was void of people.

Arlo took this moment to breathe but the sound of a person walking outside of the room interrupted him. He waited a few moments backing up hoping that Darian or the massive vampire from before wouldn't show up.

The goblin creature didn't move, not afraid of the person behind the wall. They waited a few second and then the tiny shark appeared again. Arlo ran over to the shark, and pulled him into the circular room.

"I'm sorry Arlo; I never wanted any of this to happen to you." The tiny shark said knowing Arlo's name somehow. The goblin walked into room and waited a few seconds as Arlo brought the shark in.

"Wait how you would know my name, he figured out my name because Sarah said it to him, but you shouldn't know my name." Arlo said as let go of the shark. The goblin walked over to the shark and suddenly their bodies started to glow with an intense white light.

"Wait what's going on here, this doesn't look right." Arlo said as their bodies seemingly turned into energy. Their energies combined and shifted into one large body. It condensed down and formed the shape of a familiar blind shark.

Virgil's body reformed landing on the ground and the vampire shark looked at Arlo with happiness on his face. Virgil ran up to Arlo and slug his arms around the salamander, the two hugging.

"I knew you could do it Arlo, find my two halves and get them back together." Virgil said as he continued hugging Arlo, squeezing his body.

"Wait, what happened? I'm confused, what's going on?" Arlo said as he tried to figure out what was happening, but he had no idea what was happening now.

"Well, the upper class vampires have decided to take over New York finally, and I rebelled. Vampires are made up of two halves, I was 10 years old when I was changed, so that's why he appeared and the goblin was my vampire half manifesting as a person." Virgil said as he finally let Arlo go and looked around.

"Oh, well that's interesting." Arlo said overwhelmed by what was happening around him.

"We have to get to the bridge, free the rest of the team." Virgil said as he ironically grabbed Arlo's arm again and started to pull him towards where his vampire senses told him the bridge was located.

"Wait Virgil, I was able to get through the shield. You saw that, one of your halves said something about me changing, but then I couldn't get through to Sarah's shield." Arlo said as he pulled Virgil back and bringing them to a complete stop.

"Well, this is going to be interesting. You go through the shield because you were turning into a vampire, during that time it circumvented the shield. Darian must have thought you were useful and turned you. However, by the time you got to Sarah you were transformed enough that the shield failed." Virgil said solemnly as if he didn't want to talk about it.

"So, I'm going to become a vampire. Is there anything I can do about it?" Arlo asked sadly not wanting to upset Virgil.

"Well, it's never good for someone who doesn't want to be a vampire to get turned into one, but unfortunaly anything we could have done would have only worked while the vampire matter in your bodies was below fifty percent." Virgil said trying to fake sadness, but inside he was somewhat happy.

"Oh, well then all of time. Where do we start?" Arlo asked as he figured there was nothing he could do from here on.

"Well it starts on the bridge. We're bringing this ship down to Earth, this way they don't have a place to escape." Virgil said as he grabbed Arlo's hand again and began to pull him. They arrived a large hallway that seemed to go from one end of the ship to the other end.

"Come on this way." Virgil said as he turned around the corner and they made their way towards the bridge. Arlo saw the two large doors that led to the bridge but stopped when he found two cells. Alison and Valo were in opposite cells banging against the wall.

"Ok, where's the prison control?" Arlo said as they slowed down around the cell. He looked around for some sort of control on the wall, but their didn't appear to be any control panel.

"It must be on the vampire's body, whatever they use, some sort of control remote." Virgil suggested as he looked around for a way to open up the shield. He found nothing of use though.

"Well then, perhaps there would be override switch on the bridge. You take the vampires and I'll get the button." Arlo said as they walked away from the cells and towards the two large doors in the front of the ship.

Virgil walked up to the door waiting a few seconds and activating the door. It swung open and they waited for a vampire to come out of the door. They waited a for a few moments but no one came out.

Virgil popped his head around the door and found that no one was actually inside off the bridge. He looked inside and decided to enter, it was only a single room with a chair and a simple control panel.

"So what should we do?" Arlo asked as he walked over to the control panel. He looked at the interface and had no idea where a button to release all the prisoners would be located. Virgil sat down in the seat and looked at the interface.

He waited a few moments but suddenly the ship shook. Virgil looked at the control panel and had a worried look on his face.

"Darian just returned, he's right by my vampire half's cell." Virgil said as he wondered how long they would have to work with the bridge.

"Where are they, where are they!" Darian's voice echoed throughout the ship, worrying Virgil and Arlo as they wondered what was happening. There was the sound of marching as Arlo realized that Darian was marching for them.

"Come out, Virgil, don't worry we're not going to hurt you and your mate." Darian said as he appeared at the door.

"Arlo find the button while I show this newborn how Vampire hierarchy works." Virgil said as he stood up from the seat and turned around. He interlocked his fingers and snapped them. The red energy of absorption formed around his hand.

"Now, then you're a newborn you think you're high and mighty but in reality this is just a fraction of the full power that you have to unlock. It takes training and hundreds of years to get where I am today and I won't let a new born like you flaunt around with their powers, thinking they're like they're a god." Virgil said as he yelled out his entire body was covered in a red glow and Virgil ran forward in a rage.

Darian didn't react, he couldn't react, Virgil was going so fast. Darian was knocked back as Virgil punched him, the newborn getting punched back into the hallway landing near Valo's cell.

Virgil ran forward and grabbed Darian, and then pushed him again the wall of Valo's cell. Darian screamed as he was pushed against the wall, before getting bounced off and pushed again.

"Please don't do this to me, I'll let you know anything you want." Darian screamed as he attempted to get Virgil to stop attacking him. Virgil reacted accordantly and pushed Darian against the shield keeping him there.

"Tell me what are the vampires planning?" Virgil said as he let Darian down against the floor, keeping him in place. However, Darian jumped up and pushed Virgil against Alison's cell. He grabbed a remote from his pocket and pointed it at the front of the ship.

"The ship's going to fall back into the Earth, enjoy atmospheric re-entry!" Darian said as he pressed another button on the remote and teleported away. Virgil stood up and wasn't able to catch Darian. The lights in the walls flickered but the cells turned off as well.

"Well then, this is going to crap quickly." Alison said as she stepped out of her depowered cell. "We need to land this in the ocean but we'll cause a massive title wave."

"That might be the best option, where are we going to land now?" Valo said as he walked forward and dragged the two of them into the bridge. They seemed to be over the northern United States, so when they fell back into orbit they might fall into the Atlantic Ocean.

The sound of an engine starting awoke them as they realized the engine was pushing the ship down to earth. Within seconds, the earth became closer and red streaks of heat formed over the window. They only had a minute until they reached ground.

"No time, it's going to land where it wants to land." Virgil said as he grabbed everyone making sure they were all connected.

"Wait what about Sarah?" Arlo said hoping they could save the Labrador. The window bursted before anyone could answer and in one moment Virgil teleported them away before they turned into ash.

Sarah in her cell realized that this was the end and closed her eyes hoping that her death would come quickly.

...

Virgil pulled them down to Earth, expending his energy as he re-entered the atmosphere. However, he didn't have enough energy to get them back to New York, so about 5 kilometers above the city the group of four popped back into existence.

"Crap, Crap, Crap!" Valo said being the first to realize what was happening. He looked at Alison and Virgil, the trip knocking them out. However, Arlo was completely awake. He grabbed Valo's hand and grabbed on to Virgil, leaving Valo to grab Alison.

"Hang on, let's see if I can really fly!" Arlo shouted as he started to absorb the energy of the sun. His body started to glow with a red-ish aura and he used the energy to push himself forward.

It started to work as they started to fall, above them the ship entered the atmosphere with a large sonic boom. They looked at the ship as it seemed to fall towards New York. Arlo quickly pulled them out of the way, dragging them lower and slowing them as they reached the city.

The cities glass broke as the sonic boom hit the city and knocked Arlo into a building. They slid down the building as Arlo tried to slowed their fall. He screamed in pain as his back was dragged against the side of the building. The Salamander held on for a few moments before giving out, and finally landing on the ground.

The ship hit a building and quickly crushed the building. Valo figured that Sarah wouldn't have survived the fall and held her in his hearts but he knew that he had to stop the vampires.

Valo looked around; somehow, the area they were in was empty. He looked around and there were massive screens against the building. They flashed off and on as if they were hacked and cut to an image of Diamond before a massive vampire crowd.

"Hello Citizens of New York, now you should know that was my ship that just murdered some of your population, but don't feel bad because soon enough all of New York citizens shall be vampires." Diamond said on the screen announcing his plans.

"Now then vampires, attack all the citizens!" Diamond commanded as the vampires of the crowd ran off and started to attack the mortals that gathered around the crowd. Diamond laughed as his plans came to full circle and it the camera showed vampires attacking citizens.

"Crap, I have to trap them. They're in the range, we can trap them." Valo said as he realized what had happened. He pulled out his phone and called the Empire State Building Security.

"Yes, you need to do this." Valo said on the phone. The call disconnected and he looked up at Empire State Building. The antenna of the building glowed purple as an energy barrier extended out from the tip and around the buildings. It was designed to avoid buildings and hopefully trapped every high-class vampire in the area.

Diamond looked up at the shield on the screen and laughed a bit. He turned off their transmission and the screens switched back to their normal barrage of advertisements.

Valo turned around and knew that the forcefield was trapping him. The teleport and the fall knocked out but him and Valo knew it was now his duty to protect New York from the vampire scum, except Virgil, and find a way to kill them all. He grabbed all three of his friends and placed them in a hidey-hole.

The prawn looked around and walked off. He looked around and didn't wait. He looked around and knew he had to raise an army somehow. He spread out his wool jacket and unbuttoned his waistcoat, allowing him to breath.

He looked around and found something interesting. He saw the wreak of the ship and found a hole in the hull. It must have led to an armory because there was a white cannon sticking out of the hull. He flashed back to vampire castle and remembered they used it on Virgil.

He heard something from Darian, about how the beam spilt the vampire into two halves. One half was a pure mortal around the age that they were transformed and a pure wild vampire half. He also mentioned that the beam could be used to kill vampire halves.

He wondered why Darian didn't use it on Virgil's vampire half though. He shrugged it off and walked around. He arrived at the hull and ripped it open with his almost superhuman strength.

He pulled the cannon out of the hull and realized that he could use it to form his own army. He had to gather somewhere nice and clear, and as he walked down the street he found somewhere that might have been useful.

He looked forward and there was a massive square smackdab in the middle of New York. He pulled the cannon their easily, it was a hexagonal square built for the six museums that New York had. As such he waltzed over to the museum of science and stood on top of its stairway.

He waited a few moments and pulled the cannon up with him before hiding it behind a door as not to reveal his plans to the vampires. He just had to wait for someone to notice him.

He looked around and saw all the abounded cars in the area. Some of the vampires must have attacked drivers and turned them as well. He realized that he needed a flare or something to get a vampire swarm on him. He realized he was in front of a museum of science and as such walked into the building.

A few minutes he walked out with a 21st Century flare gun, that happened to be loaded with the correct ammo. He made sure it wasn't a dud and pointed the gun in the sky.

He fired it, sending a large fireball into the air. It managed to hit the top of the shield and exploded. A smoke tail revealing where he was to everyone that noticed. He hid behind the door as well and waited for the vampires to come.

They did. The vampires quickly surged into the square all looking for the source of the flare. As soon as he was ready he would open the door and hit the masses with the separator cannon.

"I'll do it any second now." Valo said as he walked behind the cannon and prepared to ran it through the door. He waited a few seconds but had the shit scared out of him when someone tapped him on the back.

He turned around and Darian hit him square in the face. He was knocked away from the cannon and realized what was happening. Valo quickly gooed and then he reformed standing up.

"Oh you son a bitch, throwing punches like that. You just might make a worthy opponent." Valo said as he interlocked his finger and cracked them.

"Please Prawn, I created you and I will be fully happy to take you out of this world." Darian said referring to the first time they met. Valo remembered what happened and used his rage as a motivation.

He ran forward pulling back his fist before he jumped up right before Darian and gooed. His spilt his entire body around Darian and reformed turning around. He punched the vampire right in the back.

Darian screamed and turned invisible. Valo looked around trying to see if Darian's invisible body created any artifacts in the light. He realized he was in a science museum and walked over to the dinosaur exhibit that was right next to him.

He calmly grabbed a sample of dirt and put it in his palm. He put his palm in front of his face and blew the dust out. The cloud expand out and a few particles got stuck on Darian's suit.

Valo ran forward, before gooing. He in goop form, slipped under Darian and reformed. He punched upward getting the vampire right in the undercarriage. The vampire screamed as he was sent upwards into the dinosaur exhibit. Darian landed right on the dinosaur in riding position, screaming as his children were killed.

"You son of a bitch, when I get off of this velociraptor I will murder you!" Darian screamed as he tried to get of the dinosaur.

"Careful, you're riding a lifeform smarter than you. Who knows maybe one day they'll be bipedal and fly around in spaceships?" Valo said as he turned around and decided to finish off the thorn in his side.

There were vampires trying to knock the museum's door down now, so Valo decided to hurry up. He grabbed the cannon and turned it around. He grabbed the controls and aimed at Darian.

"Bye, bye." Valo grabbed Darian with a cannon beam and it picked him up. He saw special use in this and pushed himself forward while turning Darian around. He had Darian at the door and all he need to was fire.

He pushed the cannon forward and sent Darian through the door, the beam letting go of him and sending him through the door and into the vampire crowd.

"Hello, boys I'm back!" Valo yelled as he fired a beam at the first vampire. He continued to press it, causing the beam to spread onto another. It continued to spread the vampires useless against it as within a minute it infected the whole crowd.

Valo opened up the menu and activated the kill Vampire half mode. He smiled almost sadistically as he fired a blue ray through the crowd, quickly spreading. Everyone before him glowed with energy as it dissolved the vampire matter in their systems.

He let the cannon beam go when he figured everyone was de-transformed and walked over to the stairs.

"Today, Vampires attempted to steal your freedom but I and STAR have given it back to you. However, we cannot do this forever. We need your help to stop the vampire threat and we stop that by killing Diamond the leader of the vampires!" Valo said as he started a speech to the crowd before him. He figured he was doing good as the crowd was cheering.

"We like the vampires that attacked us will use the sheer numbers of our force, to overwhelm and destroy their leader. We will not fade into the night, we will not disappear. Because today is our Independence Day!" Valo said using something he heard before to conclude the speech.

As soon as he stopped the crowd started to run back out the way that Valo came in through.

"No, go the other way!" Valo said as he tried to control the crowd. They quickly turned around and all of them left the square, the same way they came in. Valo quickly joined the crowd and led them forward towards Diamond crowd of vampires.

Diamond saw the approaching crowd and almost laughed at him. If only Valo took that as a warning. Like a riot Valo and the crowd ran forward and started the fight against the remaining vampires.

The crowd outnumbered them at least 5 to 1, so Valo thought he would have enough force to defeat or at least severely disable the vampires. Vampire were fighting against large crowds of humans, keeping at match with the vampires.

He ran up to Diamond and decided to repeat the tactic that worked against Darian. He jumped up against Diamond, and Valo gooped around the large vampire. However, Diamond seemed to expect this and spun his large body. His hands slammed into Valo's goo and broke him up into the ground.

Valo was internally screamed as he realized that he screwed up. He tried to reform his body but his pieces were too far spread out. Valo realized he had a weakness and wasn't as on top of a pillar that he thought. He just hoped the crowd would be able to defeat the vampires.

The crowd at one point realized that they wouldn't be able to beat the vampires as their numbers dwindled and more dead bodies littered the ground than combatants. They stopped fighting and turned around hoping to escape the continuing Vampire onslaught.

...

Valo let himself into the surrender to the will of vampires, but he tried to reform his body hoping that he might be able to mount a second retaliation against the vampire empire. However, he realized that someone else was mounting their attack.

A white cannon blared out entering the square. Valo tried to gather information but could only see the white cannon with his limited perspective. Little did he know however that Sarah was pushing in one of the cannons, deciding to finally finish off the vampires.

"Now then you might be wondering what, I'm doing but I am stalling for when Virgil gets here. Then my plan gets in action." Sarah said as she slowly pushed the cannon with one hand, keeping the other over her chest wound. She kept pushing keeping the cannon pointed at the group of Vampires and keeping them in control.

"Sarah, what are you doing?" Alison cried out as she, Arlo and Virgil ran in the square managing to wake up and somehow get out of their hidey-hole. The wolf ran up to the dog and tried to get her to stop but Sarah kept on pushing through towards the vampires.

"I know what I'm doing, please don't try to stop me. I'm going to die anyway, there's no way anyone can heal this, and my powers don't work on myself. So just let me be the person to end this." Sarah said as she pushed Alison away, leaving the wolf silenced. "Virgil, you're going to need to kill your father, you good with that?"

"Keep him open and I'll get it done." Virgil said not wanting to argue with the dying Wolf. Arlo and Virgil walked next to Sarah and helped her push the cannon forward towards Diamond.

"What is this your plan to beat me, don't attack them because that will never work on me. I am the original vampire, I make Dracula seem like a baby. You can't take the vampire out of me!" Diamond boasted to the group before him.

"I know that, but I can take your power and give it to Virgil!" Sarah said as she fired the cannon, and a large red beam hit Diamond. The large vampire glowed with red as the cannon started to drain his energy.

"No you fool; I am the rage and the vile and the voracity. I am the Prince and the Fallen. I am the enemy; I am the sin and the fear and darkness. I shall never die! The thought of me is forever; in the bleeding hearts of men, in their vanity and obsecrate and lust. Nothing shall ever destroy me, nothing!" Diamond said as his body glowed and his energy was drained.

"Go to hell!" Sarah yelled as she put her hand on the interface and put her hand on Virgil's Energy flowed through her body, shocking her like thunder. Virgil screamed out as vampire energy flowed into his body, strengthening him. The beam stopped and Diamond stood their unfazed.

"You cannot beat me, I am the vanity in the hearts of man, so long as they live, I shall never die." Diamond said as he stood up and looked at Virgil, who was reacting strangely to the energy.

Virgil screamed as his body changed, muscles forming on his arm, his skin turning pale and his bone structure changing. Arlo ran over to Virgil hoping to comfort him, but was knocked back against the ground.

"What's happening to him?" Alison asked as she wondered what was happening to Virgil. His bones lengthened and his teeth became sharper. Large wings blew out from his back and formed. Sharp claws bursted out of Virgil's hands and Virgil screamed as his skin turned grey and he became like a pale corpse.

"Perfect Vampirism, his body is in-between the state of life and death, allowing him to gain power from both." Sarah said as she pointed the cannon at Diamond.

Virgil ran forward and jumped at his father using his claws to claw at his father. However, even in this elevated form Virgil seemed to have no effect. He changed to energy draining, his hands glowing a wild red aura as he attempted to drain his father of energy.

"Please, I have been living for millions of years and it would take another million to kill me!" Diamond boasted as suddenly Sarah hit him with the cannon. He screamed as he was spilt apart. His vampire matter and mortal body were spilt apart floating in the air.

"Good-bye Alison." Sarah said as she knew what she had to do. She walked forward as Diamond attempted to remerge like Virgil. She walked over to Diamond and the beam stopped. She jumped up and in the way of the vampire matter.

"No Sarah, please don't." Alison cried out as her friend sacrificed herself to defeat the vampire.

"Girl, get out of here and I shall reward you beyond all ages." Diamond said as he tried to get Sarah out of the reforming body.

"No, this is my end. And it is yours too!" Sarah yelled as her and Diamond fell together with the vampire matter. All of them formed a grey ball of matter trying to form on mind. The ball glowed as one mind tried to take over but Sarah knew what she had to do.

"Attack me." Sarah said from the ball to Virgil. The vampire surged forward and black energy engulfed his body as he prepared the attack. A black beam fired out and hit the ball. It exploded with energy as Diamond and Sarah died along with all the evil and trouble he caused.

Virgil fell to the ground and changed back into his regular Shark form. Arlo sat down next to him, followed by Alison who looked shocked. The explosion blew some pieces of Valo together and enough gathered that he could start to reform.

Valo reformed next to them on the ground and decided to ask them a question. "So, what are we doing next?" Valo asked as Alison made a confused look and they just sat there.

...

Darian was embarrassed; somehow, he survived the salamander's attack. Somehow he wasn't spilt into two halves and somehow the police captured him. They put energy gloves over his hand and covered his fangs. He was being taken to prison.

The police officers guided him into a maximum security prison. They opened a large steel door and threw him into the cell. He looked around in the dark room, unknown who was with him. There was a purple glow as the walls were sealed with energy.

"Vell, vell, vell, herr Doktor is here to help you now, and vith you nothing in the vorld vill stop me now!" A mysterious figure said as he grabbed Darian and pulled him deeper into the cell.
