Bio: Eliot Kleiner is a dutiful, hard-working human hailing from one of the countless colonies on the barren dunes of Delta 211-C. He has served as the projects mechanic and technician, being one of the first members of the crew to arrive at the station after its construction was completed.

His initial training is not in the field of robotics and repair, however. A few years prior, he was studying to become a linguist at a local college for future translators and ambassadors, but problem with his father's health prevented him from continuing his pursuits and his opportunities were left to atrophy.

Years of working in the small repair shop that his father owned have gifted him expertise with rovers, generators, and nearly every other type of mechanical creation. This set of skills lends itself well to the current setting, though his snappy attitude and unpredictable temperament make him a bit difficult to work around. He had kept himself away from most engagements, save for a few chats with the team leader, Doctor Anderson, and the now retired Medical Administrator, Doctor Lee.

It took a while for Eliot to come out of his shell, though his first encounter with Jack certainly seemed to have stirred something in him. After a malfunction in the automated watering system dragged him from his usual station down in the utility deck, his initial reaction was one of frustration and snarky comments, which was quite typical for him. But when no reply met him, he realized something was awry. He started simply by asking if he was the new recruit that had arrived a week ago. Jack nodded, further giving rise to Eliot's assumption that perhaps the feline was unable to speak. Having little to lose, he decided to use sign language to ask him if this would work better for him. Jack was quite surprised by this, though quickly signed back that he appreciated the consideration and would prefer using sign language instead of vague gestures to speak with him.

This sparked the rather endearing relationship between the two, starting with simple things like taking breaks together and exchanging messages before leading them both to become more involved with the rest of the team and even helping to organize a few events to keep everyone entertained, since they both knew quite well how it felt to be without friends or to be neglected.
