The Story of Blu Macintosh

Chapter I - The Blu Macintosh Story

From the vast wasteland that used to be regarded by Blu as 'home' known as The Mushroom Kingdom, specifically Brimrose Vane, a small but dense community living on one road surrounded by a dark-lit musty cul-de-sac begin to finish production on a rocket. These are the dark final years of the Kingdom, with only four Yoshi's in existence, several humans, and King Kiwi. Over the past few years, the human had built a rocket, upon which they were all to leave, but disaster struck when a comet hit the rocket and killed everyone on board, except Blu.

Blu was a small and innocent mute little reptile, whom nobody would have paid the slight of attention to. He was trapped in a cryogenic chamber by his mother, who would have protected him at all costs, as mothers do. During Blu's mother's final moments, he had asked her his name after writing it upon a tattered piece of parchment. She had responded by breathing heavily onto the glass shield separated them and began to write 'Blue', but during this, had made it to 'U' before a metal container had struck her across the temple, cutting her deeply and sending her into a haemorrhaging unconsciousness.

Blu did not remember her face, but he remembered the moments to follow. Across space he had flown, in the chamber, but frozen, as it had been set off in the emergency settings of the rocket. He had been floating through space for two-hundred years, through the cold, dark, airless, desolate wasteland, without acknowledgement. Of course, he hadn't known at the time that being the last of his kind, or, in the circumstances, the last of his world would have given him so much more. But did it, for, after two centuries of being frozen, Blu had gently plummeted towards the surface of a smaller planet known to earthians as The Moon.

There was nothing going for Blu at this time, no hope, and no-one to be there with him, for him, no life. It was deemed that Blu would spend however long he had left in that dust-littered ice box, until that died, which would soon follow with Blu's own demise.

This, however, was not the end of the story, or Blu, or how he came to be where we begin our story, no, this is only the beginning. For, in the upcoming days, a runaway had escaped capture on his planet, Galifrey. He was wanted for crashing into the lord-presidents chambers. Anyway, he had died once in his planet, and as a Time-Lord, the species he was indeed, he had access to 13 lives. He had travelled in his second life with a furry anthropomorphic mutt named Pizkwat, who happened to be a big fan of metal. During an adventure, he left Pizkwat behind to keep him safe as he hurtled himself to his death to save the earth, where he had failed to evade the meteorite, and crash landed upon the surface of a grey pearl in the sky, known as The Moon.

The crash had not only killed Skarfly is the process, but had also killed Blu, smashing him through the back of the freezer. His back covered with cuts, bruises and slices, filled deeply with red-stained glass. Skarfly began his regenerative healing ability's, while simultaneously blasting Blu with extra energy, suddenly reviving him, healing his wounds also. Skarfly, in his third life, had invited Blu along on a journey through time and space, to which Blu had accepted in an ideal that he would find his home once again.

After roughly a year travelling with Skarfly, Blu decided to stop off at a mining desert on Daegan, a mystical land filled with anthropomorphic creatures. Skarfly had failed him by dropping him off about two weeks away from the silver mines where he was to be left.

Blu travelled this way and that, looking for the mines, but one day....

Down in the dark streets of a town littered with cacti and gunslingers called Jericho, Blu had found an old merchant, selling an old map which showed the location of something Blu was looking for, called 'The Archangel stone', which would revive loved ones, kill others, and give Blu answers to question he could not ask.

He journeyed the backstreet of a saloon called 'The Smoke Barrel' to find a fresh source of water, as the saloon waitress, Jocelyn, had given him some for each of his journey's. Suddenly, Blu heard a loud smash and several gunshots, so he quickly rushed along the cramped dirty back of the building, through the backdoor and into the saloon, where he watch from afar as several gunslinger were holding Jocelyn down on a table. Blu's eyes widened in realization, and without hesitation, he leapt forward and threw a member of the group to the ground, grabbing another by the neck and choking him to unconsciousness. He drew a pistol, and the head of the gang of six looked up and turned to Blu, signalling. Blu span around to receive a glass shard to the eye. He heard the screams of Jocelyn and the pained groans of the men he brought down as he fell over, dead.

Moments later, he resurrected, and found his pistol taken, along with a few of his possessions. He could not find Jocelyn and the gunslingers were gone. Yet the strange part of it seemed to be the dead man in front of him. Blu had not killed this man, it was against him, so he checked him, nothing, and his supplies were gone. The gang must have killed one of their own, for his things. The thought brought up vague and vivid memories alike that made him wretch and shake, which soon brought a sick feeling to the back of his throat.

Blu conjured all of his thoughts, ideas, and memories and swallowed them, and set off after the bandits and Jocelyn, Hell knows what they did to her. A few hours later, Blu had followed the trail to a camper van near the outskirts of the next town, Merringsvill. He peered through the window of the camper van to see a shadow in the corner, and the lead gangster, back facing the window. Blu retrieved a knife hidden deeper in his shell, for this kind of emergency and opened the door, but at a most horrible moment, another bandit seemingly returning from an event came through the door and yelped when he saw the dinosaur standing there, behind the leader, without a shard of glass in his eye, or dead upon the mouldy planks of the saloon. Jocelyn cried out and jumped for Blu, but was punched across the face by the leader, who had his men quickly tie up Blu with severe force.

Fortunately, Blu had injured two of them. The other two and the leader, however, were perfectly capable of taking whatever so-called "justice" they wanted. The leader introduced himself as Tarly.

'The name's Tarly, and my man Reeker damn well killed you!' he bellowed, 'so, what in the FUCK are you doin' walkin' the desert boy!' he echoed on.

Blu did not reply, for although he could not, he did not want to anyway. Tarly laughed and picked up Jocelyn, then spun her towards Blu and asked Blu, 'Do you think I wouldn't kill her to make myself happy?' He raised Blu's knife and put it to Jocelyn's round, sweaty neck. Blu could see the tears in her eyes welling as Tarly did the unmentionable, Blu's knife becoming ever more red as his only real companion in Daegan lifelessly fell to the bottom of the van.

Blu took it all in and for the first time in a while, wanted to kill these men. He bared his teeth, which he did NOT do a lot. His claws unsheathed from his paws and his eyes began to see red, only red, and they then began to glow red. Soon, Tarly and the others echoed thoughts and murmurs as Blu's spine began to re-arrange itself as blood orange spines erupted through the skin, in a horrifying fashion. However, before the transformation was complete, Tarly shot Blu in the chest, and Blu fell to the ground, and with another final breathe, looked at Jocelyn's still warm face.

'....Get him ready.'

'Shut the fuck up!'

BANG.

Blu awoke with what would have been a scream, had not he been a mute, or had he not been in pain. Tarly and the three remaining bandits were stood facing another dead member, which Blu could not gather the knowledge to understand. Why would these them just kill each other?

'I told him, if he carried on like Sam, I'd shoot him. Did he fuckin' listen?' Tarly faced the remaining three and gestured for an answer, waving his gun around, almost like he didn't care. The three shrugged and one of them simply replied no. Tarly then nodded and faced Blu once again. 'Now, you ain't gonna die, I see that. But, I'm gonna try my very best to hurt you as much as I damn can, right?' He raised a knife, put it to Blu's throat and laughed. 'I aint one for repeatin' myself.' He threw the knife onto the ground and turned to a bag next to his feet. 'Boys, when do Jiminy and his crew get back?' he asked.

The smallest of the remaining cowboys looked up and whispered, 'They're on their way here right now Tarly.' The leader looked up, and grabbed a device from his bag without looking, it was a poker. He teased Blu by pressing the poker in between several scales before eventually picking some off. Blu pressed his jaws together as tight as he could, and cried all the while, this was real torture, the smaller things always hurt the most Blu thought.

Suddenly, seven men on horses rode in from behind Blu. 'Tarly, you piss ant, you told me we'd be nearer the silver mines!' DING, thought Blu. The silver mines? That's what he was looking for. Blu tried to raise and arm, but Tarly ignored him. 'See this here scaler?' Jiminy nodded. 'We need to do somin' real bad to this guy. Killed Sam, and Munroe, right boys?' The two bigger men nodded almost immediately, but as for the smaller boy, he looked up, intense like, and said 'Yeah, it was bad, boss.' Before gulping and returning to helping Jiminy's horses. Jiminy grabbed an arrow from his quicker, and shot it with his bow into the ground, where it mysteriously caught flame, and soon became a full fire. He moved forward, facing Tarly head on, before grabbing the poker and holding it above the fire.

'Listen Tarly, as much as I reckon you hate this critter, he aint done nothin' wrong, and you oughta know that, right?'

'Jim--'.

'DON'T YOU FUCKING LIE TO ME!' yelled Jiminy as he used the now hot poker to impale Tarly in the abdomen, yet there was no blood, just the sound of searing pain and a hissing. Tarly fell to the ground in a fit of screaming, helped by his two men and the smaller boy. Jiminy turned to Blu, crouched so he was on a face-to-face level and held the poker over the fire again.

'Now, here's the thing, I aint used to livin' without people I need, and I don't need shit like Tarly ruining my good name. It's unfortunate he chose you, 'cuz, now you gotta die.' Blu did not shift, or panic, or blink. 'I see that don't scare ya.'

'Boss, he don't die!' Chirped one of the big guys.

'No boss, I stabbed him in the eye, and he's all fine now.' Cried the other. Jiminy turned and looked at the kid.

'This true kid?' the kid nodded. 'Know, that if you're lyin' to me, I'll rip off your dick, and feed it to my horse's dick.' He said, in a crude and vile manner, which he had converted into a posh and polite demeanour. The kid nodded again. Jiminy paused, looking at the kid, and then turned back to Blu.

'Well, if we can't take your life critter, we gonna have to take another trophy. Suddenly, he raised the red hot poker and got up. He stared at the sky as he walked around the back of Blu, whom was preparing for whatever treatment would come his way, but he did not prepare for what came next.

The pain Blu felt was unimaginable. It was worse than losing a child, worse than melting, worse than anything he had had done to him before. For, Jiminy had used the red hot poker to stab the joint between Blu's shell and Blu's back, and was now using it as a crowbar to break his shell off. Blu could not hold back any longer and let out several long, loud screams as the searing pain continued. Further and further the shell came off, all this things, including a small egg, his diary and a red backpack filled with food falling out. His flesh ripping, his spine visible.

Blu would have rather died eternally than have any more of the hell he currently endured. He had fallen over, and Jiminy had put his star boot onto the back of Blu's neck, whilst ordering his men to rip the shell off in one piece.

It felt like years, like it would never end, like all the happiness in the world was gone forever, all his memories, deaths, friends, enemies, peeling off in the hands of Jiminy and his six followers. Finally, Blu could not bear the pain any longer and gave in to the darkness.

.......................................................................

Blu did not awake for several hours, but as he did, he was no longer tied up, and his body had completely healed, except for his shell, once his skin had healed without it, even if he had it back, he would not be able to reattach it. He collected his things, placed them inside his now empty red backpack and looked distressingly over at the two big men and the younger man who looked as though they had just finished burying Tarly.

Blu raised himself, in agony, to full height and walked on over to the two men, who turned and cowered, Blu grabbed one of their heads, the one who stabbed him in the eye and looked him into the eyes, almost into his soul and sighed, moving his thumbs towards the man's eyes and digging deep, popping both eyes and squelching his thumbs further into the sockets regardless of the man's screams. The other men tried to throw the young man at Blu, but Blu tossed him aside and grabbed the second man, sighed again and closed his eyes and the man screamed at Blu, smacked him and begged for Blu not to kill him, which was not Blu's goal. Blu picked up the knife Tarly had thrown down and sharply placed it into his ear, then into the other. The man grabbed his ears and bellowed on the floor about how he could not hear, and the other man could not see. Blu finally turned to the young man and picked him up, stood him up. He looked at Tarly's recent filled grave, then back at the young man. He got out his diary and wrote 'His tongue' on a sheet of blood stained paper. The young man swallowed and nodded, picking up a shovel.

Blu began to walk on, with only his red backpack, his diary, an orange, his knife, the egg, and a rose from Jocelyn's collection.

Hours later, after he had cleaned in a small oasis, and refreshed himself, it became midday with a hot sun in the vast desert. It was extremely hot, and Blu was almost passing out from the heat. Incidentally, so was someone else. Blu heard a cough, and prepared himself.

He turned around to hear a scuffling noise in the sand, and far beyond him, he saw what appeared to be a skinny dark green reptile wrapped in desert clothes, and covered in gadgets and guns, with a long backpack on his shoulder.
