Hey everyone! I am back with another chapter of Dragon Storm! I am very happy to see it coming along so smoothly! Thanks for standing by for a new chapter. I will do my best to have them up weekly. I have noticed that when you look for Dragon Storm, it is shown as Dragon Storm-Dragon Storm. I will have to edit that so it is shown as Dragon Storm-Chapter # etc. This way the viewers will not get confused at the list of Dragon Storm chapters. I may have to resubmit my past chapters with the title shown the way I would like it. I do not know if the viewer count and favs will vanish, but I would like to edit that. With that aside, I hope you enjoy this chapter! XD

Chapter 3: Mission Description!
Quicksilver stood there in complete disappointment in the middle of the half-ablazed, destroyed room. His silver scales that shined brightly and was almost blinding, reflected off the silver embers that slowly made a decent. Quicksilver crossed his arms and let out a sigh, he was disgusted at what he just witnessed. He viewed Rio carelessly fighting and trying to confuse his opponent with speed. Meanwhile, Lazz seemed to know how to handle the situation well. He was able to hold his own against something moving at speeds he could hardly keep track of. Quicksilver finally broke the silence and let them both have it.
"What were you two thinking?" Quicksilver asked.
"What.....do....you.....mean?" Rio asked still out of breath.
"I apologize......... for my current............. behavior sir!" Lazz stated loudly, also out of breath.
Lazz was now facing Quicksilver and saluted him. Lazz was feeling uneasy about what he just did. He thought he should apologize quickly and forget it ever happened. Meanwhile, Rio was taking in what Lazz was doing and felt sick to his stomach. Rio thought that Lazz was a suck up, and only saluted to kiss up to their commanding officer.
"Thank you Lazz. As for you Rio......do you have any idea where we are?" Quicksilver asked.
"How should I know? All I know is I was walking to my friend's house to kick his ass in Halo 29, when all of a sudden I am ambushed by your Dragon soldiers and they knocked me out with some kind of sleeping gas! The next thing I know I am here, and not in the best of moods." Rio explained.
"We are in Dragon techs. class nuclear submarine discovery you fool. Luckily, Your little warm up didn't hurt the inner walls to bad, at least from what I can see there are no leaks." Quicksilver said.
Rio starred at the destroyed room. He thought that of all the Dragons in all the world, why he was chosen for this mission and why it was so important. Rio looked at his father and could tell right away that he was being serious. Not as a commanding officer, but as a dad. Rio was lost for words. He could only think how he would have ended up drowning everyone. Rio knew he was always short tempered, but it couldn't be helped. He refused to let others put him down, He was also raised to never take in what others said. Rio finally opened his mouth to say something when suddenly, Kilala had dropped her clipboard and fell to her knees in shock.
"I-I can't believe what I just saw!" Kilala exclaimed.
"Kilala! What is it?" Quicksilver asked.
" This is unlike anything I've ever seen before! Your son was able to keep up with the skills of a lieutenant!" Kilala explained.
"Unbelievable...... " Lazz whispered.
Rio blankly stared at both Kilala and Lazz. Rio knew he was good when it came to fighting, but they made it seem like he was a pro. Rio just thought that maybe they have never seen a lieutenant have a difficult time fighting before. Rio stood there and pondered this in his jean shorts. After about two minutes of thinking to himself Rio scratched the back of his head with his black claws and laughed.
"I don't get it!" Rio said.
Everyone let out a sigh and Quicksilver took over from there.
"I think I better hurry in explaining your mission to you son." Quicksilver said in a firm tone voice.
Kilala picked up her clipboard and seated herself on the bed where Rio awoke from. Meanwhile, Lazz walked to the wall near the only door in or out of the room and leaned against it and put one foot on the wall as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes ready to listen to what Quicksilver had to say. Rio had taken a spot on the messy floor, still covered in rubble and Debri from their earlier fight. He found a pair of scissors on the ground and picked it up to look at it closely, when he was finished he began to twirl it around, and around. Quicksilver started to explain the mission to Rio and Lazz as he paced back and forth across the room.
" The nuclear weapons disposal facility on Dragon Talon island in Arcadia‘s Dragon Archipelago was attacked and captured by Next-Generation Special Forces, being led by members of BLACK FANG. They are demanding that the government turn over the remains of Nuker. And they say that if their demands are not met within 24 hours, they'll launch a nuclear weapon. You'll have two mission objectives. First, you're to rescue DARPA Chief Kazuki Takahashi and the president of Dragon tech, Takeshi Obata. Both are being held as hostages. Secondly, you're to investigate whether or not the terrorists have the ability to make a nuclear strike and stop them if they do." Quicksilver stated..
"What's the insertion method?" Lazz asked wisely.
" We'll approach the disposal facility by sub." Quicksilver said.
"And then?" Lazz questioned.
"We'll launch two one-dragon S.D.V.'s." (swimmer delivery vehicle) Quicksilver stated.
"I see." Lazz said calmly.
Rio stopped twirling the scissors and laid on his back side as if to go to sleep. This was boring to him. He would have rather continued fighting, then have to listen to them talk about stuff he didn't understand. Rio stared up at the ceiling fan as it spun swiftly and quietly, and tried to follow it's spin with his glowing yellow eyes. Rio was never so confused in his life. To him, none of this made any sense. Just then, Quicksilver proceeded to say.
"After the S.D.V. gets as close as it can, dispose of it. From there on, you'll have to swim." Quicksilver said. Then paused before proceeding to say something else.
"High-tech special forces unit BLACK FANG, Lazz's former unit, and one that I was the commander of." Quicksilver said.
"So they're still around....." Lazz said.
"There are six members of BLACK FANG involved in this terrorist activity. War Wolf, with his powerful psychic abilities, Cross Wing, the beautiful and deadly sharpshooter, Thunder Pegasus, master of disguise. Tiger Wanghu, giant and shaman, and Wild Horn, specialist in interrogation and a formidable gun fighter. And finally, in charge of them..... BLACK FANG's squad leader............... Rock Lizard." Quicksilver said calmly.
"...................................." Everyone was lost for words.
" The nuclear weapons disposal facility covers the whole island. I'll instruct you by codec after you reach your target." Quicksilver stated.
" Anyone other then the two of us going?" Lazz asked.
"As always, this is a two-man sneaking mission. Any more than two and you'll greater your chances of being caught." Quicksilver said.
"Weapons and equipment O.S.P.?" (on-site procurement) Lazz asked.
" Yes. This is a top secret black op. Don't expect any official support." Quicksilver said.
"Hold on! What about that codec thing? Won't it make noise when your trying to call us? We'll get caught!" Rio shouted.
"The codec's receiver, directly stimulates the small bones in your ear. No one but you will be able to hear it." Quicksilver said.
"It still doesn't add up! I thought you needed nano machines for it to work properly!" Rio shouted.
"Ahem... " Kilala said.
Rio suddenly realized what she did earlier. He could not believe that she did that to him so quick. The nano machines were already inside of him. The shot Kilala gave him earlier was when she did it. Rio looked at his arm then back to her and saw her grinning while holding the empty syringe in her hand.
"I hate you guys." Rio said calmly.
"That Doctor..... is she even a part of this operation?" Lazz asked.
"She was in charge of BLACK FANG's gene therapy. She knows more about them then anyone else." Quicksilver stated.
"By the way, what was that injection for?" Rio asked.
"It's a combination of nano machines and a anti-freezing peptide so that your blood and other bodily fluids don't freeze, even at subarctic temperature." Kilala said.
" Nano machines? Rio asked.
"Not just one kind either. There are different types which will replenish the supply of adrenaline, nutrition, and sugar in your blood stream." Kilala said.
"Now I don't have to worry about food" Rio stated.
" I also put some Nootropics in there." Kilala said.
"Say what?" Rio asked.
"Nootropics, a class of drugs that will help improve your mental functioning. Nootropics, also referred to as smart drugs, memory enhancers, and cognitive enhancers, are drugs, supplements, nutraceuticals, and functional foods that are purported to improve mental functions such as cognition, memory, intelligence, motivation, attention, and concentration. Typically, nootropics are thought to work by altering the availability of the brain's supply of neurochemicals (neurotransmitters, enzymes, and hormones), by improving the brain's oxygen supply, or by stimulating nerve growth. However the efficacy of nootropic substances in most cases has not been conclusively determined. This is complicated by the difficulty of defining and quantifying cognition and intelligence." Kilala explained.
"It will make me smarter huh? Anything else?" Rio asked.
" Yes. It's a type of Stimulant. It will keep you alert and responsive for 12 straight hours." Kilala added.
"That's one hell of a cocktail! Anything else in there?" Rio asked.
"Your welcome, Rio." Kilala said sarcastically.
Lazz grinned. He had never met a more clueless dragon in his life. Even though he did not know what most of those things were himself, he would have at least thought to say "Thank you". Lazz was more concerned about the mission objectives though, if what Quicksilver says is true and there are two hostages, how will he get them out without their group size becoming to big. If that happens they will get caught as soon as they save the hostages. Lazz was stumped. However, not as much as Rio.
"You both are dismissed, and good luck." Quicksilver said.
"I am still a little confused." Rio said.
"Come on Rio, I'll explain it to you on the way!" Lazz said.
As Lazz and Rio walked out of the room to prep for their new assignment Rio looked back one last time. This might have been the last time he would get to see his dad. Rio tried to remember all of the good times he had with his dad back he was a teenage dragon, as he walked away from the room.
"Do you think they have a chance?" Kilala asked.
"They will have one hell of a struggle, but I have faith in them both." Quicksilver said.
Both Quicksilver and Kilala stood there in the small room concerned about Rio and Lazz. This mission was unlike any other they had ever seen. Quicksilver felt bad though, he wanted to tell them more, but this mission was already so highly classified that he would be placed under arrest instantly for saying more than what was allowed. With that, he just waved goodbye to his son without ever knowing if he would see him or Lazz ever again.
(Flash forward: Back in the present time in the gryphon stronghold)
Rio snapped back into reality when he over heard two gryphon guards talking to each other. He was in the ventilation shaft. Lazz thought it would be a good idea to split up for this next room because of how heavily guarded it was. Lazz used his camouflage while Rio used the shaft. Rio listened carefully to what they were saying.
"So did you here anything else about the intruder?" The gryphon asked.
"They say he single-handedly killed over a hundred of our soldiers already." The second gryphon said.
"What the........! No way!! " The first gryphon shouted.
" Come on. I don't want to stick around to find out. Let's go patrol another sector." The second gryphon said.
With that, the two gryphons left the room and Rio hoped out of the ventilation shaft quietly. He wondered what they were talking about. He had been with Lazz the whole time since the start of the mission. It just didn't add up. Besides the two earlier gryphons that they killed, the only other thing was the mid-ranged battle and that only had about five gryphon soldiers. Lazz was able to kill four of them while Rio himself killed the last one. After which, they both hid the bodies of each gryphon soldier. Rio was confused by this. He figured if they were using stealth the whole time after the mid-ranged battle, then no one should know about them being here. However, by what the gryphons said, this "intruder" killed over a hundred gryphon soldiers already. That can only mean one thing Rio thought. Suddenly, Lazz poked his head through the door and yelled at Rio.
"Rio, there you are!! They know we're here, come on let's go!! Your never going to believe this, but I found the president of Dragon tech!!! It's just a few rooms down this way come on hurry!!" Lazz yelled and rushed off knowing that Rio could quickly catch up.
Rio dashed quickly down the various hallways and rooms to catch up with Lazz. Lazz was once again out of breath, while Rio was just getting started. They ran for what seemed like six minutes straight before stopping at this mid-sized room In the middle of the room was the president of Dragon tech, Takeshi Obata. And beside him was one of the six members of BLACK FANG. It was Wild Horn! He is a specialist in interrogation and a formidable gun fighter. Lazz held his hand out to signal Rio to wait here and remain hidden, while he walked out and confronted Wild Horn.
"I'll ask you one last time, Where is it?" Wild Horn asked.
"I-I don't know!" Takeshi Obata said.
"Let him go Wild Horn!!" Lazz demanded.
Just then Wild Horn, with out even looking, pointed his gun at Lazz and fired it. Before Lazz could react, Rio was standing in front of him with his amazing speed and caught the bullet between his fingers, almost as if Rio was smoking a cigarette. Lazz couldn't believe what he just saw. Rio just ruined their opportunity to ambush Wild Horn and save the president of Dragon tech. Now Wild Horn has the advantage and with them so close together things looked even more grim for them. Plus Wild Horn has a hostage, now he can arrange things to work in his favor.
