#2 of Dragonia: Loot and Fortune!

The second chapter, made to introduce the character Zennix! Of course, we all know that a bar brawl can be just as fun as it is painful!

It all began with one gunshot from a rather jumpy black scaled dragon, who seemed to be rather small in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the guy had pretty good aim, but there was no way he could handle a fist fight. I only smirked as the bullet practically bounced off of my staff, which I had swung the second I heard the sudden discharge of a long range weapon. The bullet sailed through the air, straight towards said trigger happy dragon, hitting right in the snout. Now it didn't go all the way through, considering it slowed down, but it was embedded rather deep into his head. His brain was okay, maybe. He screamed and held his snout as he doubled over, but my attention was brought to the rest of the bar. Everybody had a gun drawn, from sniper rifles, pistols, and some rather strange guy had two grenades in his claws with a manic smile on his face. "Well that's just not fair." I muttered to myself, placing my staff back between my wings with a disappointed grumble. "I was going to wait to use these, but I guess not." My claws reached into the holsters on the side of my coat, pulling out two guns I've always enjoyed using. I actually made them myself during my younger days! The revolver from before was in my right claw, twirling it with ease in a way that just invited somebody to try and shoot me. The other one was rather strange, considering that it was a rather large automatic rifle. It was about as long as my arm, covered in rusted steel and scorch marks. The barrel was obviously scorched, showing just how much these bullets could burn if they hit you. And right now, they were definitely going to hit somebody!

One of the dragons, a particularly large meat head of a dragon, slowly pulled the trigger of his bolt action rife. Not one to give anybody a chance, I moved in the blink of an eye, revolver aimed, and trigger pulled. With that one shot, the whole bar erupted in a hail of bullets, the air thick with lead, and even a bit of fire! I growled as a few hit me in the stomach, multiple times actually! I shot back with equal fury, my aim being much better than their drunken aim. Blood poured from my wounds, which was only slightly worrying. However, that gave me an idea! I had used it many times of course, but I knew that it would be less painful than sitting here shooting and taking bullets. For every shot I fired, somebody got hit, as quite a few fell to the floor with a thud. Not that you could hear them falling over the sounds of good old gunfire! I normally don't like using magic, which is sad because I seem to have an almost unlimited supply of it. However, right now I'm thankful, as I cast two spells at once. Not many dragons can do that without putting too much strain on their body, but that was a cake walk for me. Those two spells of course were a decoy, and invisibility. Now the problem with this is that my decoy stays in the exact position I was when I cast it, and the invisibility only lasts at least five seconds, but it gave me enough time to do what I wanted. I sprint away to the side of the bar, which seemed to be rather cluttered by broken chairs and tables, as I watched my decoy get shot to pieces. That could have been me, but it didn't matter that much. With a smirk, I deftly snuck up to the crowd, before picking my first victim. The poor guy was an ice dragon, big and intimidating as it were, yet I held my gun up to his temple.

I only shot once, leaving his body to crumple to the floor. Yet that left me an opportunity, as I noticed that they all looked towards me with the intent to kill. Using the big white dragon's body as a table, I rolled over it before shooting the first guy in the line up. The bullet practically shattered his snout, as the kick from it sent him falling backwards. However, before he completely fell, I quickly grabbed him by the neck, before tossing him forward. The others filled him with so many bullets, as chunks of his flesh began to fly off of his body. It was gruesome, but it was definitely something you'd see everyday. Using this as an opportunity, I kicked him forwards without hesitation, letting his corpse hit the black scaled dragon from before. It provided enough of a chance to use my other weapon, the rifle I've always loved. I aimed it with a rather smug smirk, if I do say so myself, and practically set the crowd aflame with one pull of the trigger. The screams were rather annoying, but I charged forward, kicking one of the flaming dragons to the floor before using my revolver to blow the head off of the dragon next to him. The number of drunken dragons was dwindling, as there seemed to be more dead by the second. Each one was panicking, as most of them were burning, and only five of them were not. All five of those dragons shot at me, and only one of them hit. If you're wondering why I can take so much damage without flinching, I only have one answer for you. You get used to it after a while.

I shot back, using four bullets to pick them off. Each shot was one in the head, so the fight wasn't going to last long. That only left one dragon left, practically shaking in fear as he shot aimlessly towards me. None of his shots were even hitting me, almost as if he never used a gun before. Though that was highly unlikely, considering that he probably wouldn't be alive if he didn't have one. With a small chuckle, I quickly shot him in the head, seeing as there was no point in dragging this out. When I turned back towards the burning dragons from before, they were pretty much already dead. They weren't even a challenge, compared to most of the things I've fought before. I mean, none of the things I've fought would have just burned to death! They would have shrugged it off and continued to try and rip my face off! However, as I looked over the wreckage of the tavern, from the bullet holes in the walls to the dead bodies before me, I turned back to the man at the bar. Needless to say, he looked like he had just seen a ghost, which is actually possible now that I think about it. His eyes were wide with fear, as he looked disgusted at the sight before him. Before he could open his mouth to speak, I cut him off.

"Hey, you did say that you didn't care how I did it, right?" I said, holstering my weapons after twirling them in my hands a bit. The fight was fun at least, and I got paid! I sat down in front of the bartender, who shrugged and agreed with my previous statement. With a smile and a chuckle, I decided to get my payment. "So, how about that root-beer float?" I said with a grin, before hearing the door creak as somebody walked in. I'm not sure why, but I had a feeling that things were about to get interesting!
