Here it is guys, the third volume of the series I've been writing. I hope to hear a few comments on the series, so I can get a good idea of what you guys think of it.

Let me know! Oh and if you're under 18 or don't like reading this stuff then... don't!

Chapter 1 â€" The Lost Boys

*******************************************************************

The sun is just beginning to set over the tall forests of Seron; the

clouds turning a bright pink as another calm night settles in.

There is a sudden rustling in the bushes at the base of the trees; a

quick flash and the image is gone, the image of a 14 year old boy.

There is another flash; the boy is obviously in hot pursuit of

something. He leaps and bounds, finally grabbing his prey, rather

large mountain lion.

As quickly as the chase had started it was over, the massive hunter

taken down with the boys bare hands. The boy gathers the large lion

and takes off through the bush and up the mountain.

"I got the lion," the boy said upon reaching a cave at the top of the

mountain.

"Nice work Alex," another boy amended. "I've got the fire up and have the bear on, now all we need is Spencer and Evan." he said.

"Skye, do you think that it was a good idea to set up our temp base at the top of this mountain?" Alex asked.

"Well yeah, it puts us high enough that Joey or his goons won't see us setting up the glass passage ways." Skye explained.

"Well at least we're getting set-up faster than we thought; good thing the rocks are the right density for our flames to melt." Alex agreed.

"If that was all we had to worry about," Spencer agreed walking over

to the other two boys with Evan.

"How did the search go?" Alex asked.

"Well if we could just walk in and save those boys without fighting

the guards, I mean how did Joey figure out how to weaken our armor?"

Spencer replied.

"Were still not sure what he did, all we know is have no ship, no

communications and we can't even fix our armor anymore. It's falling

apart look," Skye gestured to his gauntlet which had so much wear

and damage from their impact on the planet it's a wonder it survived.

"Well we can't sit around moping all day while were here now can we?" Alex chirped, walking over to Skye.

"What did you have in mind; we continue to burn ourselves out with no food or any weapons; we're fighting a war here, and we're no better off than savages!" Skye replied, a small tear setting in his eyes.

"That's the first time I've seen him cry," Thought Spencer to Evan.

"Wow, this whole thing must really be getting to him, but I feel it too," Evan thought back.

"You know I can hear everything you guys are thinking right?" Skye said under his breath.

"It's just because they're worried about you, I am too!" Alex comforted, "Come here," Alex sat on the ground beside him, pulling Skye into an embrace.

"You know I don't deserve someone like you," Skye mumbled.

"Don't say that!" Alex snapped, "You're doing your best to keep us safe and to stop Joey, that's a tough place to be in and I think you're doing great!" Alex replied, pecking him on the lips quickly.

"Yeah Skye, don't worry about it, we're going to be fine the tunnel systems almost complete, and then we can get off the surface and underground, you're doing an amazing job!" Evan added.

"Thanks guys," Skye sniffled.

"Dude, just relax, we can't go saving the world when our leaders held up in tears!" Spencer giggled.

"Yeah, you're right guys, let's get back too it!" Skye responded, standing up and walking over to the glass tunnel.

"Let's give it a shot all four of us," Skye suggested.

"All right, sure it's worth a shot!" they agreed.

The four boys walked up to the entrance of their glass tunnel, the rocks had been melted into solid crystal glass, it currently went about a hundred meters underground, but was defiantly not far enough.

"Let's try it then, the four of us have to have a better shot at this!" Alex cheered.

The boys stepped just inside the tunnel; they closed their eyes and dropped their hands to their sides, concentrating. A strong wind kicked up around them, their hands beginning to glow. The four boys opened their eyes, holding their hands up like they were cupping a pair of balls. From their glowing up turned hands, flames burst into life, different colours for each member of the Black Team, Skye's white, Alex's black, Evans red and Spencer's flames a bright blue.

"Ready guys," Skye thought to them.

"Let's do it!" They all thought together.

Together all four boys thrust both of their hands out, the fire which was cracking across their hands exploded forwards, creating a constant stream of coloured flames. The different streams of fire began to encircle one another, each drawing on the others power as they combined into one massive pillar of flames, which smashed into the rocks in front of them.

The rocks quickly crumpled in on themselves under the immense pressure and heat of the combined fire, as more and more rock melted the flames pushed the molten glass to the sides, creating a tunnel. This flame barrage lasted about a minute or two, before the four boys dropped their hands, exhaled and collapsed to their knees with exhaustion.

A few seconds later they opened their eyes, as the smoke and ashes cleared they each gasped; in front of them, the tunnel which had only been about a hundred meters deep into the mountain was now replaced by a massive glass shaft, the rocks still red and molten, the path now went about a kilometer under the surface of the mountain.

"Wow, why didn't we think of working together to get the first part of the tunnel dug?" Spencer wondered.

"I didn't think it would be so effective," Alex marveled.

"Well whatever it was, great job guys were almost there!" Skye congratulated.

"Told you that we could do it if we worked together, we're a family, nothing can stop us Skye!" Alex grinned.

"Well, clearly next time I can't doubt you!" Skye replied sarcastically.

"Nope, you defiantly can't!" Alex quipped.

"Well what are we waiting for; let's go see what we've got in there." Evan suggested.

"Yeah okay, let's morph and head on it." Spencer agreed.

There were four explosions of flames as the four of the boys morphed into their dragon forms.

The four anthro-dragons gently spread their wings and gracefully floated off of the ground, and took off down their molten glass tunnel.

"The walls are really forming well," Alex commented.

"Yeah, couldn't have asked for a better system, we can make the individual tunnels and pathways once we get to the bottom, if the tunnel is large enough for the four dragons to fly down here then we're going to be fine, the hard part will be hiding the tunnels." Spencer agreed.

"Yeah, I've been thinking about that," Skye replied, "Why can we use the Prowler's cloaking mechanism to hide the base?"

"That's a really good idea, I'm sure we can rig it up, I'll go grab it, and you guys get started." Spencer replied.

"Okay, well start making the secondary pathways!" Evan exclaimed, "Be careful!"

"When aren't I?" Spencer chuckled.

"Ummm let me think.... Never!" Evan retorted.

"Fine I'll stay on the side walk mommy!" Spencer giggled and took off back to the opening of the caves.

***

A few hours later, Black team had melted a major chamber of mountain out of the way and made a mock command center, they still had a lot of parts to work out, but at least they had the tunnels cloaked now.

There were also several tunnels leading out from the main chamber ten for sleeping quarters, which were forty square feet by forty-feet each, and then the several tunnels which went around the mountain and through the massive waterfall on the northern side.

"Wow, we really are getting this done fast," Evan commented, "We only need to get the power up and running."

"What about using solar power, the sun shines all the time above the mountain peak, it's above the clouds." Alex suggested.

"We're going to need some more supplies; there isn't enough wiring in the Prowler to do so much!" Skye commented.

"Well from the Intel we've gathered so far, there is a storage facility of Joeys a couple of kilometers away from the mountain." Alex reminded.

"Yeah, well I guess we're going to be making a little trip then huh?" Skye replied.

"You guys up for it?" Skye asked them.

"Hell yeah, we don't need our armor to kick their asses, especially with our new abilities." Evan replied.

"All right, then let's go!" Skye roared as he emerged from his ball of white flames in his anthro-dragon form.

The others followed suit and within seconds they had cleared the mountains passages, passing seemingly through solid rock as they emerged on the other side of the cloaking field.

"It's about one hundred kilometers from here, so it should take us about twenty minutes at our medium speed level to get there." Alex calculated.

"Well then let's just speed up a little here, shall we?" Evan replied toothily to the others.

Evan's scales began to glow an iridescent green; they seemed to pulse with each flap of his wings, soon the field of his agility power spread to the other three dragons, their scales taking on a similar glow. As soon as the aura had spread to the rest of the dragons Evan closed his eyes, "Guide me," he stated.

With that the four dragons suddenly lurched forwards, accelerating past their top normal top flying speed by a tenfold.

"How fast are we going?" Spencer asked.

"Umm, about mach three," Alex gasped.

"I never knew he could use his powers over speed on us as well, I thought it was just on him." Skye replied.

"Same here Skye, so don't worry about it." Spencer replied.

"At this speed we're going to arrive there in about thirty seconds." Alex gawked.

"That means were traveling at 1200km per hour, 200km a min. That's insane." Spencer calculated.

"When he said to steer what did he mean?" Skye interjected.

"Umm, Skye..." Alex started, "His eyes are closed, he can't see when he's channeling his power like this." Alex shouted.

"Evan, get ready to slow down we're almost there," Skye instructed.

"Well, umm, there's the lab coming up, about ten kilometers out," Alex stated.

"EVAN!" they shouted, "Stop!"

Evan opened his eyes, the green light fading from the four of them, as they began to slow down.

"Spread your wings to help us slow down," Evan instructed.

The dragons spread their wings, hearing the audible crack as the wind put enough strain on their wings to break the bones.

The dragons roared with pain, "This is bad, we're falling!" Spencer grunted through his pain.

"We've got it," Alex and Skye thought to the others, their pain obvious in their thoughts.

Alex's body began to glow black and Skye's a white colour; the black aura spreading across the four dragons increasing their gravity.

Skye then began to force the gravity around them into an energy channel; leaving them with a light and at the same time crushing feeling. Then, suddenly, the sky around them vanished and the next thing they saw was the Skye above them, they were lying on the ground.

"Did you just make a portal?" Evan asked.

"Yeah, a small one, I needed Alex's gravity power to increase our descent rate to I could channel our kinetic energy into another form or energy, potential energy. That means that we wouldn't be moving, so then I just opened a portal and had it at the ground, so we appeared on the ground not moving." Skye explained, "At least I think that's all we did."

"Well," said Spencer standing up, let's get going."

As the four beasts rose, their wings cracked again and began to re-shape themselves back into their natural shapes and began to look less and less like the crumpled mess of flesh they currently resembled.

"Well at least we still heal just as fast!" Evan chirped.

"Yeah good thing after, ‘hey guys spread your wings'" Alex quoted.

"Hey, I didn't know that was going to happen, I've never had to slow down that soon before, we've never used my powers to fly that fast." Evan defended.

"I'm not, mad," Alex explained, "Just amused."

"Okay guys, take to the trees here, we need to stay as hidden as possible." Skye ordered. "Speak through thought."

"Copy," they all thought together.

The four dragons quickly shifted back into their human forms, taking up their standard positions for recon. Each covering the other while they ran at the lab.

A few seconds later, they each faced the ten foot high shrapnel coated and barbed wire fence. Without even a second thought, each of the boys leapt into the air, the distance they left was exactly the amount they needed to clear the fence; each of them landing silently on the other side before darting back into cover.

"The wire and power supplies are kept in the south storage room, on our left." Alex informed.

"Aye" The others replied quietly slipping into the building.

"So how are we going to get this stuff out of here, it easily weighs two tones a spool and it's huge." Evan thought.

"What we do is:" Skye began, "We all morph back to our dragon forms, then we grab two spools and the electronics we need, and then we just need to get out of here. Our dragon forms can handle the weight, then we just need you Evan, ready to use your ability so we aren't detected leaving the building." Skye explained.

"Okay, let's do it," They agreed.

The four boys morphed back into their dragon forms, grabbed what they needed and prepared to take off.

Evan began to charge his ability as they others gathered the supplies, each getting set for the take off.

"Here are the spools," Alex and Spencer informed.

"Okay I've already collected the rest of the supplies," Skye replied picking up the one end of the spool Alex was holding, and Evan doing the same for Spencer.

"Get ready to go," Skye advised as they walked to the massive loading bay doors, opening them.

"I'm set Skye," Evan advised.

"Okay in a few seconds, let's get airborne." Skye ordered.

The boys spread their wings and lifted the massive load into their air; they began to coast slowly out of the doors when a man's voice shouted, "Hey, You, STOP!"

Skye didn't even waste a second, "Now!" he shouted.

Evan activated his powers, and the four of them were gone in the blink of an eye, the sonic boom that they created knocked the guard un-conscious, his raised gun firing in the process.
