Nasty Phone Calls

Max's Office 9:15 AM
Max gets to his office phone just in time to answer it.
"Hello", Max said
"The results are in, you have no Coyote ancestry in your DNA", a voice said on the phone.
"Thank you doctor", Max said
"You're welcome your highness", the doctor said before hanging up.
Max then calls Kuhlman to tell him the news.
"We are not brothers, Kuhlman", Max said
"I was just joking dude. My dad never fucked your mom", Kuhlman said
"Well, you have a weird sense of humor", Max said
"And you don't have one", Kuhlman said
"Well, you're little joke caused my mother to be called a whore so what do you have to say about that", Max said
"Catrina's a bitch dude. You know that. Everyone knows that", the coyote replied
"I'm still mad at you", Max said
"Whatever", Kuhlman said before hanging up.
"I think Kuhlman might actually be worse than James. I'll give that human an apology", Max thought to himself.
Max then called James who was in a terrible mood.
"Who is this", James said in a grumpy voice
"It's me, Max. I just wanted to say I'm sorry about the time I said you were the meanest person I ever met. Kuhlman is. He joked about being my brother, and caused my mom to be called a whore. He and I are not brothers and my mom is not a whore", Max said
"Apology accepted. I'm really busy so I have to hang up soon", James said
"Okay, I understand. I'm going to be busy today looking for a boyfriend", Max said
James laughed and said, "No one would want to date you. That cute act gets on everybody's nerves", James said.
"But I am cute! I can't believe you just said that no one would date me. You're being really nasty", Max said
"I'm just telling it like it is", James said
"No you're not. You're doing it because you don't like me. You don't like anyone except for Lucius", Max said
"That's because he's the only one I can trust. He and I grew up together. We're best friends", James said
"He also taught you to hate me I guess", Max said
"I don't hate you, you just get on my nerves", James said
"Well you know what, no one wants to date you because you're a dick", Max said
"I did have a girlfriend once, but she broke my heart. Love is a lie Max. Whoever you find is just going to break your heart", James said
"Someone's cynical. I just want someone to love me", Max said
"Good luck with that", James said sarcastically before hanging up.
Max cried after James hung up. He stopped crying when he realized he was hungry. He ordered a coffee and a donut from the kitchen as his breakfast.
"I hope James is wrong", Max thought as he ate his meal.
