"Ugh...Do we really have to travel to Tommys house on foot? Couldn't we have just taken the car?""And make so much noise? No way, traveling on foot is the only way to fly under Mom and Dads radar. And you better not tell them about this.""Yeah yeah yeah, but he lives eleven miles away! By the time we get there, the party will probably be over anyways.""So are you suggesting that you wanna walk seven miles back home alone in the dark?""Hmph...fine."Me and my little sister, Maria, were going to a party that in school rumor "is where all the cool kids are going". It's also a chance for me to impress and ask Aileen out. "She is just so gorgeous with her wavy hair and sparkling eyes.""Aileen and Junior sittin' in a tree-""Gah! Y-you heard that?!""Heard it? You practically shouted it yourself ya goof."Ugh, that's another secret that she can blackmail me with. I planted my face in my hand in sheer embarrassment. But I quickly shifted my hands onto my ears from a loud noise. That noise was a loud metallic screeching sound coming from under the bridge we were standing on. It suddenly stopped as quick as it had happened. Me and my little sister quickly ran off the bridge, and tried to observe what the source of the sound was. Under the bridge was a strange figure wearing a white robe with a cowl covering most of its face in shadow. An odd symbol glowed a cyan light on its chest, but it began to fade away. It was in a kneeling position and slowly stood on its two legs. But something was off about this figure. Its cowl had two protruding points that gave it an odd shape. Something seemed to stick out of its backside, but I couldn't make out what it was. "J-Junior...what should we do? Wait, Junior! What are you doing?!" I slid down a slope that lead down into a shallow river. As my shoes hit the water, a loud splash was made. The robed figure quickly took notice to this. The figure suddenly sank into the shallow water which was something I've never seen happen before. All of the ripples vanished from the water, starting from the figures standing point. The quiet waters stood still for a moment until it suddenly began moving in heavy currents. The figure reemerged from the water from behind me, and took hold of me in a choke hold. Its free hand reached within its robe, and pulled out a sharp looking knife I've never seen before. *WHACK!!!*The figures grip loosened on me. It fell down to the ground, unconscious. I turned around and saw my little sister holding on to a metal pipe. We both had solemn expressions on our faces, and we both knew what we had to do.Twenty minutes later..."This wasn't what I had planned on doing..." I was carrying this robed figure down the street. Back at the bridge, I suggested we leave it safely somewhere, but I guess it was too risky."Well, it was that or leave it on someone's doorstep, and personally, I think taking it back

to our house is a much better idea." "Then can you at least help me carry it. Its alot more heavier than it looks ya know." Maria ignored what I said, and we soon reached our house. We snuck back into the house with this weird figure, and holed it up in my closet. "So? What's our plan now?""Right, didn't think this through enough. Uhh... Okay, lets both keep an eye on..." I placed my hand on the edge of its cowl, and quickly uncovered its face. "a dog?!""What the hell is that?""...Its a dog, were gonna take shifts watching this dog." I explained while trying to sound as calm as possible."And I'll go first." I let my head fall onto my pillow, and made snoring sounds to indicate sleep. "Wait, no don't leave the dog on my watch, not at this time...Ugh..." The next morning... I woke up with my little sister sleeping on the floor with what seemed like a bag of doggy treats. I quickly got up to see if the dog thing was still there. I opened the closet to see it reading a book with an icy bag on its head. We looked at each other for a while, and then I slowly closed the door. It could read english? Was it reading? I opened the door again to make sure I saw what I saw. "sigh What do you want you furless creature?""It can speak...The dog can speak!""Of coarse I can, and by the way, I'm a wolf, and I have a name you know." I sped towards my sister and woke her up to tell her about the wolf. "I-it can talk? Are you for real? You better not be joshing me!" "Just look and see for yourself." She ran to the closet and so did I. She calmly opened the closet, and looked at the wolf with an eager look on her face. "What is it now?! Don't you see I'm trying to read.""Oh my god, this is so cool, we have to tell someone about this." I considered the thought, but I quickly played a few scenarios in my head. The most danger I could think of ending up in is something that involves a mob of people that see another sentient being as wrong. "Okay, but we can only tell people that we can really really really trust. Alright?""Fine.""I wonder if he's hungry. Hey, uhhh...""Jack, my name is Jack.""Jack, what do you usually eat?""The cooked flesh of my expertly captured prey.""Okay...I'll just get you a sandwich." I left the room, walking past my parents room with a note on their door. It read "Sorry we can't spend the weekend with you two. The hospital needs us to check on a patients health while she's being discharged. Love you two." I sighed in relief, we can move Jack around the house safely without gettin caught by my parents. I arrived at the kitchen, and fixed up a meaty sandwich. I hurried back to my room, and presented the wolf his meal. He took hold of his food and began looking at it. "Is this what you creatures eat everyday? It looks like a pathetic meal for a warrior like me.""Okay then, me

and Maria will share this delicious delight. And you can have these doggy treats." I waved the bag of doggy treats in front of his face, hoping that the taunting would work."Fine! Just don't reference me to those slave animals you call 'friends'."He took a large bite of the sandwich, and chewed it quickly like he was trying to avoid being ashamed. It only took him three bites to eat up the thick sandwich. He licked his lips, and yawned a little. This wolf was so interesting, there were so many questions I needed to ask. "Jack, I have alot of questions to ask you. Like, where did you come from.""I come from a land called Auroros. It consists of a small home where I live, as well as villages and kingdoms. But your kind wouldn't understand our way of life." "Actually, we've already gone through that period of time already." Jacks face turned into a dumbfounded one."Oh! My turn, my turn. Do you have a girlfriend?" Jacks face quickly blushed."Uhh...not really.""Oh, do you have a crush?""Yeah, I guess she's pretty cool for a scientist." "D,awwww, that's so cute." Maria sat next to Jack and gave him a squeezing hug. "Now, I have a question to ask the both of you. Have any of you seen my knife? It's vital for me to travel back home." "Oh, well, you may not like this, but it may be in a river.""sigh I feared I would lose it if I came to this world.""Don't worry Jack, we'll help you find it. Lets go!" Maria ran out of the room, and as she was about to leave the house, I stopped her."Maria, haven't you stopped to think how we're going to sneak Jack to the bridge?" "Woops, I guess it slipped my mind." We went back to Jack and tried to disguise him in as many ways as possible. We were playing around with him for a little while, but it became aggravating to find something that would cover him up without anyone finding out. "Ugh, there's just no-oh wait a second. What if we don't need to disguise Jack at all. What if we just lie about the way looks .""Hmmm...Are you saying that we just say he's a fursuiter?""Yeah, it's perfect.""Uhh, what are you two talking about?" Maria didn't answer Jack at all and tugged on his arm, signaling him to get up. The very moment he got up though, his robe came off, revealing his fluffy tail. Jack quickly tried to hide his tail, but it was too late. Maria had already let out a shriek of joy, and began to deny his right to keep his concealing robe on. I just stood there, a little awkward, watching my little sister try to get another peek of his tail. I walked outside without either of them noticing, and decided to wait for them there. I closed my eyes and thought a little bit, trying to think of something to take my mind off of the wolf a little while. I opened my eyes to see myself surrounded in a world of darkness. Full of nothing but a lone woman with hair that shone a cyan

blue, and two large ears sticking out of her hair. She had chains on her wrists, keeping her down to the ground, and she wore clothing that seemed like was a divine goddess of some sort. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Please, find Morris for me..." She then exploded into a gas that filled up the area, making it impossible to see. It quickly cleared, and I was back on my porch, with Maria waving her arms at me. "Well? Are you gonna go with us, or just stand there?" I shook my head, trying to clear my mind of what I just witnessed. "S-sorry, I was thinking a bit too deep." Maria took that as a yes, and began walking down the street. Jack and I followed, keeping a steady pace so that way no one shifted their focus on Jack. It took us a grueling fifty minutes of walking in the hot sun, but we finally reached the bridge, only to find a bunch of policeman everywhere. "What the heck is going here?" Maria questioned. I focused on where the policemen were mostly gathering at, and it seemed to be somewhere below the bridge. I got a little closer to see what they were investigating down there. What I saw was something beyond belief. It was another one of those people like Jack, except this one seemed larger, and appeared to be some reptile creature. "Hey, you kids aren't allowed to enter this area. It is very dangerous." explained a policeman. "Like that costume by the way." He said while pointing to Jack. But he just ignored him. His focus was also shifted towards the reptilian creature at the bottom of the bridge. He walked to the edge of the bridge and jumped off. He landed on his feet, completely freaking out the officers that were already down under the bridge. "Huh, I had to see it to believe it, you really came all that way for me?""Hey, don't get any big ideas Jack, Emily's been bugging me to bring her here so she can get my help to find you." The cops that stood there slowly backed away from Jack and the reptile, completely forgetting about me and Maria. We slipped in from the other side of the bridge and began to examine the extra characters. One of them was a tall muscular built salamander that rivaled Jack in size. He wore a coat that seemed like a lab coat, but it was too shredded to know for sure. He had a tail that was able to touch the ground, and he had six floppy ears, three on each side. The shy looking girl behind him seemed as though to be a fox, with an elegant ornament stuck onto her short dress, while wearing leggings that covered her down to her knees. Her tail looked as though it was entirely clean, due to its faint glimmer in the light."What's wrong Dracko, getting soft around women? You don't seem to be worthy of your position." Jack taunted. The fox girl stepped from behind Dracko, and looked at Jack with worried eyes. "I told him to bring me here because I assumed the worse when you didn't return to your usual post. That's why I'm here." Two cops quickly pulled me and Maria away from under the

bridge, as it was quickly followed by a shout yelling fire, and the sound of multiple gunshots. Maria curled herself up from fear, but despite how scared I was, I took a peek to see if any of those creatures got hurt. I peered under that bridge to see Dracko using an odd gem to create a protective bubble around himself, Emily, and Jack. I sighed in relief to see that none of them were hurt. The bubble barrier vanished, and Dracko stuffed the gem back into his pocket. Creating a sigil into the concrete bridge, Dracko drew forth an obstructing mist that blocked the policemen on the right side of the bridge. The three of them ran out of there, with Jack signaling me and Maria to follow them. Eventually Jack began to carry Maria, and Dracko began to carry me. I guess we found out who the better species is. After what seemed like ten minutes, we finally stopped at what seemed to be deposit. "Emily, give me your ornament.""Oh, yes...here""Thank you. Might I please get your names.""Sure, my sister here is Maria, and I am Junior.""Junior and Maria, I am terribly sorry to drag you into this war." Dracko lifted the ornament into the air, and it began to shine a green emerald light. The light span from inside the tiny sphere, until it became a blinding light. It felt like I got incredibly warm, and my shoes became highly uncomfortable. My clothes got tighter, and my bones felt different. I opened my eyes to see fur covering my arms and paws replacing what used to be my hands. I quickly took my shoes off, and saw that my feet followed the same fate as my hands. I was about to plant my face in my hands...er...paws. But, instead I felt a snout. I touched the top of my head and felt two big ears. I looked behind me to see Maria transformed into something else unlike me, but I also found other company, it was a striped tail. I looked back at Dracko with a confused look. "Welcome aboard the army. You might want to stick with us for the time being.""O-okay, but what am I? And what is she?""Why, isn't it obvious? Your a raccoon, and she's a lemur."As the new small band of furs move silently out of public eye, little do they know what is truly coming to them.To be continued...
