#3 of Winter Class

The third chapter in my Winter Class series. It doesn't have much dialogue and really hardly anything exciting, but it is a build up chapter for what is coming up next. Thanks for reading!

Winter Class ~Chapter 3~

As if I didn't have enough trouble already, I woke up in the morning feeling nauseous and angry at everything. Vole and Jey are already up, looking perfectly fine and wearing smug smirks. Damn. I told Jey that I wasn't feeling so hot and that I would probably go insane one day and he goes and says -

"Well, I thought you were angry all the time before now. I can't tell the difference." Thanks a lot for helping, Jey. What a good friend you are.

I haven't brought up the fact that Vole got in bed with me last night yet. I don't even know if Vole remembers anything - he looked dead asleep. Maybe he was sleepwalking or something and just decided in his hibernating brain "Well, I could always just strip naked and hop in bed with my wolf roommate". Because that can obviously happen.

Jey flops down on his bed, tail swishing in the air. He's on his phone again. Probably texting some girl or something. Vole, on the other hand, is emptying out his suitcase and laying his things next to his couch. I don't think any of us had time to unpack our things yesterday. We pretty much just went straight to sleep.

I sigh and crawl on top of Jey's bed. His phone is one of those old iPhones - a 4s I think. There is a crack on the bottom right corner of the screen, but it is hardly noticeable from a distance. From what I can remember, one of his girlfriends was mad at him for being a "backstabbing fake boyfriend" and threw his phone half way across the room. Even I don't know how the phone didn't just smash into smithereens.

Jey is currently reading a digital book. It has some pretty suggestive things in there - I saw a fair bit of language and sex slang in just the first few sentences. Must be a yiff story or something - I know foxes are into that kind of stuff.

He doesn't seem to notice I am right next to him, even though I am literally lying down right next to him. His face is beet red... or is it? I can't tell - could just be his red fur. Leaving him alone for now would be my best option.

I get up off the bed and turn around to see Vole, standing in front of me. Actually, I just see his shirt. Upon looking up, I can easily see that he is fairly mad at something or someone.

"What time is it? We need to meet up at the cafeteria by 10, remember?" I glance over the clock that is on the side table behind me. It's 10:12. We're all late.

Mumbling curse words under my breath, I storm out of the room and run down the hallway towards where the stairs are. My luck just hasn't been good this whole entire trip. Heck, I would even go so far to say-

My nausea suddenly gets worse and I start gagging in the middle of the hallway. My throat feels horrible - like something slimy and gross is running up and down my trachea. Just imagining that in my head makes me feel like throwing up, causing a pool of vomit to get all over the wooden floors. Falling on my knees, I clench my neck and start jerking my head a little bit. This is what happens when you gag, I guess.

"Oh my god, are you alright!?"

Someone is down the hallway. It's a girl's voice, that I know for sure. I can hear her dropping something and running down towards me. She gets on the ground quickly and starts patting my back. I'm not choking, you know. Is that supposed to make me feel any better?

But I can't tell her anything. It's not like I can shove her away or get up - the nausea is too much for me to bare. As expected, due to the back patting, I vomit. All. Over. The. Floor.

I swear my luck personally hates me. Or maybe it just wants to see my suffer.

I look up and wipe off my face with my T-shirt's short sleeve. It's disgusting, but I won't go into detail about any of that kind of crap. After wiping my mouth, I look around me to see who the girl that helped me was. She wasn't anywhere to be found. The only thing I did see was a plastic bag on the floor next to me. I guess I should clean up, huh...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I ended up getting to the cafeteria at 10:40, a whopping forty minutes behind schedule. Everyone has already eaten and the place was deserted. Great. How in the world did Jey and Vole not pass by me on the way to the cafeteria? They should have seen me, but I didn't see them at all. What a bunch of assholes, leaving me in the hallway like that! I seriously don't understand why I'm friends with Jey.
Everyone is gone. I wonder where everyone is? I walk out of the empty cafeteria. The other seniors have to be somewhere nearby. The only logical place where the others would be at this time is outside. And then there is me. Wearing a T-shirt in Alaska. I'm going to get frostbite if I go outside.
I place both of my paws on my face and grunt into them. I wish that something good would happen this trip.
I wish that something good would happen this trip.
After the three minutes of screaming into my own fur, my nausea comes back. I need to head for my room and rest before I desecrate the wooden floors with my stomach juices again. Moving slowly and placing one paw on the wall and another on my mouth, I squirm up the stairs and down the hallway. For some reason, the door to my room is already open. Weird, I think to myself. Strange things have been happening... The girl helping me earlier disappeared, and now my room's door is open for anyone to come in and steal all of my stuff. Skeptically, I walk in to see if anyone was in there. There was.
Vole... Damn it, what is he even doing here?
