The Vore House of Klyneth: A Journey of Morsels

Prologue - Gathering Materials

In the long-awaited Vore House Novella, we follow the vorey antics of eight hungry pred and eager prey as they travel all over the nation of Saff'Rald, playing with potions and discovering all new parts of their body and soul as they experiment with the many forms of vore. In the prologue, Vinn takes a pit-stop at the Jade Goblet to shill some of his wares to the unwary patrons before making his grand offer to the marketplace of the southern metropolis of yearnil. Read as Vinn collects the ingredients needed for this delicious meal, showing all he has to offer to each of them in his handy bag of potions.

The Vore House of Klyneth: A Journey of Morsels

Prologue - Gathering Materials

It had been a disappointing week for Montiga and Krevaan. Both had been in Klyneth for the Vore House's tryouts and had been denied a spot on the food chain there despite a strong showing for both. Krevaan had been jumped by an overzealous dragon and swallowed all at once, only to turn it around and do the same in a petty act of dominance that showed he was a versatile predator or prey, depending on the client. Montiga had shown up as one of the first clients and had returned for the tryouts, so his dedication was palpable.

Neither had been discouraged, but they still had lives to attend to so they would be travelling south together to their respective homes. Montiga lived on the border, and Krevaan hailed from the southern continent, so both would be together for a lengthy period of time before parting ways.

As an added bonus - or perhaps a sour reminder of their failures - the Vore House Potion Master Vinn was accompanying them both on their travels. It was nice for the company, but he was just travelling the same trade route with them because he was going to try to give away some vore-related potions as a sort of promotion for the Vore House.

It was midday, and the three were walking - or in the case of Montiga, slithering - down the side of the bricked trade route that cut through the fields and forests of southern Saff'Rald. They were in the middle of the Jadewood, and were expected to hit the settlement between the twin lakes any hour now, at least according to Vinn's calculations.

The entire trip, Montiga and Krevaan were taking turns bragging about how much better each one would be as a predator, threatening Vinn with consumption at least once an hour every hour for the week they had been travelling.

Krevaan was hissing his boasting. "It wouldn't even take me two bites. I pounce, and if I get him at the right angle, his head and torso slip into my throat all in one motion. The next movement would be me rearing my head back, and tossing him down my gullet. Gone. Ne'er to be seen again!" he grinned to expose his sharp fangs in a sinister smile. He certainly had a devious side to him, and Vinn wasn't so sure he wanted to be eaten by one who might actually end him.

Montiga, on the other hand, was just as aggressive but a bit more compassionate about it. "Not likely. I could strike him in a blink of an eye, and have him half eaten before I'd even finished coiling him. The last thing he'd feel before disappearing and becoming little more than a bulge in my length would be the tight squeeze of my powerful body." He hissed and smiled, his tongue flicking out as he imagined the lime green lizard bulging out from his belly, face out and hands up to press out against his scales from within.

Vinn tried his best to ignore the both of them. His face was blank and his eyes were blank, showing his lack of interest in the two and their cock fight. He was beginning to regret coming along with the two of them; at first he was scared they'd do something rash without sampling the potions he had in his satchel, but by the time they hit the Jadewood, he was just exhausted with their game of one-upmanship.

Due to the fact that he was trying his best to distance his thoughts from the two very capable predators on either side of him joking about who could consume him in the fastest and most efficient way, he was the one who first heard the sounds of partying in the distance. There was music, hollering hooligans, and the sound of a fight happening somewhere nearby. He raised a claw to shut the other two up as his frill lifted up high to focus the sounds. "Shush, you two. I think I can hear something. Someone is near. Many people, all together."

Montiga focused and agreed. "Yes, I can feel the vibrations in my belly, a party is happening not too far from here. Just a bit to the west. Shall we investigate?"

Vinn shrugged. "Up to you. I'm going to go check it out, I don't care what you two do. Knock yourself out, for all I care." He continued down the pathway, picking up the pace to hopefully leave the other two behind. Despite his efforts, they kept up with him and followed him as he turned up a side path and past a sign that said "The Jade Goblet". It didn't take much for him to piece together that the Jade Goblet was a pub of some sort, or a tavern, or a bar, or some sort of social gathering. They still had a few hours before they reached Yearnil, so a drink would be a nice little distraction.

The three travelers made their way up a cobblestone pathway towards a rather large, steel roofed building made of thick stone with a dozen hitching posts along the side of it, a large emerald sign reading "The Jade Goblet" hung over the front door. Around it was a rather large clearing surrounding it in all directions, ensuring the shroud of the wood failed to smother the building. There was a thick pillar of smoke billowing out each of the two chimneys on either side of the establishment, and though they were still far from the building itself, they could see movement inside, the shadows of patrons dancing against a powerful candle light.

As they approached, they saw a large, sea of huge fox-like tails with magenta and cream colored fur, each one twitching on its own. Vinn ignored Krevaan and Montiga as they slipped into the larger of the two front doors (for the larger beasts and ferals) as he poked his head around the edge of the wall to catch a glimpse at the voyeur. "So what are you up to?" Vinn asked.

The massive dragon swung his heavy head around to look Vinn in the eyes. "What's it to you?" he wasn't being rude or defensive, his tone said he was just curious.

"Nothing, really. But clearly you're trying to be sneaky and failing. Got a devious plot in mind? Dragons of your stature can't really pull off the ambush attack."

"Hmph. What is it to you?" he repeated. Just then, his stomach rumbled and he had to avoid eye contact to mask his embarrassment.

Vinn shrugged and reached into his satchel. "Seems like you're a hungry ol' beast! Perfect! Big sexy dragon like yourself, I'm sure you could make use of this." He pulled out a tiny little vial and showed it to the dragon between his long, dexterous fingers. The fluid in the vial was just a few shades darker than the dragon's scales. "Compliments of the Vore House! If you've gotta nom, do so without all those nasty side effects!" He didn't even bother to wait for the dragon's response before turning around and slipping into the smaller, biped door to The Jade Goblet.

He got a powerful waft of wine and moonshine all at once as he swung open the door. It made him thirsty, but he also took a quick survey of all the patrons. It was his job to keep an eye out for potential Vore House clients, so naturally, he was looking for dragons, gryphons, and if he found a particularly adventurous stallion, he had a few ideas about what he could do with that sort of stud.

Naturally, there were all sorts in this tavern. On one side was a biped lounge, with open bar seats, tables, booths, and the bar all with varying sizes of chairs to accommodate any race from the tiniest dragon to the tallest equine. On the other side was a quadruped hangout, with a series of larger tables, trough-like seats, and a padded area for laying on their bellies. The entire back quarter of the inside of the tavern was an open dining area that went out onto a patio.

Clearly this establishment catered to those looking for a drink or a meal, and welcomed all, as there were a few dozen folks of all races lounging around in all three areas. Equines, dragons, canines, humans, felines, even a few avians scattered around. It was a welcoming environment, for sure. Perfect to put some feeding tendrils out and probe for potential clients. In their short tenure of the Vore House, it had been shown that Vore as a fetish was even more common than they thought.

Without hesitation, the lizard wove his way through the seating arrangements and sat down at the appropriately sized bar stool to order a beer. He kept the satchel of potions and fliers slung over his shoulder; the place seemed inviting, that didn't mean his property would be safe if left alone.

"What will it be, derg." The barkeep asked, using the informal slang for dragon-kin. HE was a massive shire stallion with his mane beaded up on the back of his neck, and was wearing only a kilt and bar apron.

Vinn reached into his bag to grab five copper. "I'll have a beer, if that's fine."

"Local, import, or homebrew?"

"I'll try the homebrew, if that's okay." Vinn was barely paying attention to the barkeep, as he was too distracted scanning the various patrons.

"Great choice. Has a thick flavor, lots of head, and even has an element of sweet to it. That's actually only four copper, though." The barkeep reached over and pulled four of the five coins towards him and tossed them in the till before turning to unhinge the valve of the largest of the ale barrels.

"Keep the fifth, mate." Vinn insisted, sliding the final coin over, still looking away.

"Many thanks; you are a true gentleman." He took the last coin and slid over a massive mug of the local brew over to Vinn before returning to his cleaning.

The lizard was too distracted to see that the mug he'd been given was nearly the size of his entire head - clearly a drink fit for a horse and not a relatively petite reptile. Still, he was seeing quite a few potential candidates.

The first set he noticed was a pair of avians sitting in the larger of the biped booths. The first was a massive hippogryph with a long, flowing mane and feathers of gray, silver, and black. He had white marks above and below his eyes and stripes on his shoulders. He was a very big boy, but carried himself in a feminine way, leading Vinn to think he may have been hermaphroditic. Beside him was a stubby-beaked red bird with pointed plumage and a black face. His most notable feature was the massive bulge in his loose-fitting pants.

A flash of inspiration rocked Vinn's body, urging him to open up his satchel and flip through the contents. Lots of digestive alteration for safe consumption potions, but not as many that facilitated alternate consumption methods. It didn't take him long to get out his equipment and hurriedly mix a few of the potions in perfect measurements to create something new he felt would help them out with some fun endeavors. The final step was to suck it all up into a razor-tipped needle and cap it off for safety. A perfect Cock Vore or Anal Vore Concoction, designed to engorge the flesh wherever it was injected, and turn one's fluids into breathable juices. Perfect.

He was just about to get up and walk over to make his pitch, but then he remembered he had no idea how to walk up to total strangers and proposition them for some good old fashioned cockvore, especially not without prior knowledge of their interests. He needed some more time to brainstorm his pitch, and in the meantime he kept his eyes scanning the tavern for others that might be good marks for his promotions.

In one of the large feral booths was a pair of large dragon types. One ivory scaled horned naga with yellow and purple patterns on her form and a beautifully frilled green dragon with yellow belly scales and wing membranes. Naga were ripe for the predator role in any situation, and the dragon seemed to be quite affectionate towards her. A perfect pair candidate for vore, but once again he wasn't sure how to go about propositioning them without checking to make sure they were even into it.

Vinn glanced past them to see two gryphons laying next to one another in the open lounge area. The first was a gray and silver with green markings and flesh that appeared to be glowing in the relatively dim light of the tavern. She was excitedly squawking at her companion, a vibrant blue feathered gryphon with Black tips and a lighter hued belly. They were chirping and nuzzling at one another, and it wasn't clear if they were mated or not. Gryphons, in Vinn's experience, tended to be very into vore and all its sub-fetishes, so he tagged the two of them as definite marks.

Next to them was another gryphon lounging in the biped area right against the feral zone, but he was on his own, no companions sharing his booth. He was wearing armor that covered most of his arms, but brown feathers could be seen poking out on his chest. He was nursing some wine, with a polearm leaning against the booth. He was a heavyset looking gryphon, with a bulging belly that pressed out against the table. Big birds were likely to be good marks for Vore, but Vinn decided not to proposition that one. He got an odd feeling about him; perhaps it was the armor and weapon, and perhaps it was his size. Either way, he continued his search.

There weren't many in the feral lounge, so he looked back at the other side of the anthro section of the tavern and immediately found two sitting opposite one another that he knew would be perfect candidates. To one side was a massive feathered equine - most akin to a clydesdale in build and the feathering on his ankles and wrists - who was wearing simple glasses and a kilt and nothing else. Across from him sat a shy looking, relatively tiny wolf who was leaning against the table to stare longingly into the horse's eyes. His foot was creeping its way up in between the horse's legs, rubbing his inner thighs up towards the massive bulge that could be seen spilling out from under the kilt that was the horse's massive cock. It was mostly hidden from view, but Vinn was actually looking there and saw that the wolf's foot actually disappeared into the end of it, flare swelling to squeeze around the canine's ankle.

Perfect. That was exactly the kind of potential that was needed to push his wares on. Anyone interested in slipping any part into a cock had to be a prime meal for any pred. The horse seemed to be blushing, uneasy at the tiny wolf's attention, but it was clear he was okay with it at the same time.

Vinn was engaged in the cute scene in front of him, but that concentration was broken by an uproarious bout of laughter from the corner of the pub. It was four eager blokes all around a table playing some sort of board game. The loudest was a chubby white reptilian, looked like a gator or croc, with thick armored skin and armored shoulder pads with a leather tunic. He was slamming his massive, clawed hand down on the table almost hard enough to knock the drinks. The other three were all looking like they were in various stages of discontent.

The first looked like Valencia, with long ears, a pointed nose, and wings on his arms, but he had a thick bushy head of hair and he was a light orange all over, sans the black markings on his ear tips and shoulders. Beside him was a biped dragon with golden yellow-orange scales and dark brown hair, leaning back and rolling his eyes. The last was a simple blue wolf, dark colors with hints of gray and silver. None of them struck Vinn as being particularly vorey, so he tried to ignore them and move on.

The next set of individuals he saw was a pair of very interesting looking, lithe creatures, both with Long, flowing heads of hair and plumage of the warmest colors out there. The smaller of the two was a thin dragoness with a golden brown scale color with bright, vibrant lines of sunny yellow around her neck and upper chest. Her hair was mostly a faded yellow to orange, and she had long thin ears that seemed to trail into a series of cheek horns.

She was sitting with another, but Vinn couldn't tell their gender. They had features that seemed neither male nor female and their mannerisms weren't screaming a gender at him either. They seemed to be some sort of dragon-avian hybrid with long whiskers protruding fromt heir cheeks; they had thin plumage of a golden yellow on their upper body tipped with a deep orange and some red tips accented by black stripes all over on the long feathers, especially on the wings they kept tight to their back.

Something about this hybrid made Vinn feel uneasy, as he got the same illusion of power he felt when around Leera, Ceylon, Valencia, and Ilorek. For that reason, he opted not to approach the two warmly colored ones, even though they seemed sweet and genuinely approachable.

Vinn was about to get up and start making his pitches to the various groups he'd targetted when the door swung open, bringing a vibrant purple gryphon in from outside. This gryph was about the same size as the blue and green ones from the feral lounge, and in a slightly darker shade than the stalking dragon hybrid that was outside. Absolutely gorgeous quadruped gryph with a dark purple collar and beautifully dark faded magenta-to-royal purple feathers and fur. He had a big grin across his face and was pretending to act drunk by swaying his form from side to side as he sauntered in.

What was it with Gryphons around here. Gryphons were a rare race, and there were four in The Jade Goblet all at once. Was Yearnil known for their high Gryphon population or something? He had to put thoughts out of his mind and focus on the task at hand as the royal purple gryphon sidled up next to him, making flirty eyes.

"Can I help you?" Vinn asked, confused but also a little turned on. He had a thing for gryphons, and it was hard to say no to a gryph after having been friends with Ceylon and the others for as long as he had been.

"Not likely. I doubt you are qualified. So what brings you to Yearnil?" The gryphon asked as he tapped a claw on the bar, waiting for the stallion barkeep to walk over and offer them some wine, only to be turned down. "I don't drink wine, actually. Just some juice for this gryph today!"

Vinn was confused at the behavior when combined with his lack of drinking, so he simply shook his head and went through the rounds, leaving the gryphon alone at the bar. It hurt him to ignore, but he had duties to attend to, so he went from one person to the next.

First up, he walked right past the white and brown gryphon in the armor. He didn't feel that would be a good investment of his time, so he carried on to the feral lounge where the blue and green gryphons were lounging. Rather than directly engage them, he simply hung out, acting confused and lost for a bit while he eavesdropped on them.

While glancing at a wall painting, he heard the green one mention something about eggs and loving the feeling of pregnancy, while also not being ready for chicks yet. The blue one told the green one about sheduling, and how to enjoy the sensations without running into unwanted clutches. That's when Vinn looked into his bag of tricks to see if he had anything to offer those interested in eggplay.

Vinn was an advocate of Oviposition, and with the help of Ceylon was trying to let the Vore House include that in their offered services. For that reason, he had a couple potions that allowed the growth of eggs without the pesky need for insemination.

"Excuse me, you two, I couldn't help but overhear your discussion about eggs." Vinn interjected, stepping towards them.

Both gryphons clamped their beak shut and stole a glance at one another, a little offput that a stranger would interrupt their personal discussion. The Green one spoke. "I'm sorry, I...I'm not sure that was something we wanted to share."

Vinn cringed a bit at his bluntness, but persisted. "Well, I happen to be a representative for the Vore House of Klyneth, and I'm campaigning with a gryphon friend of mine to have Eggplay and encapsulation added to the list of services there. In honor of my personal quest, I've concocted a potion that will actually stimulate growth of eggs while also creating a safe and habitable environment in one's womb, with a bit of skin-stretch serum in there as well. This potion I'm offering you two, free of charge, allows you to be a host for an eager and properly sized companion, which will then come back out in an egg." He offered the vial to the green gryphon with a nervous look on his face. If he was physically capable of blushing, he would have been a bright red in the cheeks and neck.

The blue gryphon leaned over and gave a hushed whisper to the green one before standing up on all fours and looking down at Vinn with a smile, eagerly outstretching a talon to accept the vial. "Thank you, kind lizard. And Vore House of Klyneth, you say? Sounds interesting to say the least. Where in Klyneth is this place?"

Vinn stuttered a little, surprised his pitch actually worked. "Uh, north of town on the Urto trade route. Bout three kilos north. We look forward to seeing you there!" He smiled and laid the vial on his blue-fleshed talon before spinning around, leaving the two alone to cuddle, nuzzle, and chirp excitedly at each other.

The next two were the Naga and dragon. Vinn could tell by the way the Naga kissed and pecked at the dragon that there had to be some element of vore in there that would clearly be enhanced by one of his potions. As he walked over to them, he was already in his bag looking for exactly what he would want. Perfect, a simple vore potion for mimicking Leera's internal system, and another to do the same to the womb. Two potions, both quite potent with lasting effects that would linger for weeks or even a month.

"Excuse me, I noticed you two seemed to be quite affectionate towards one another, and I would bet money your maw plays a rather large role in your affection. Would I be right in saying so?"

The naga smiled a wide grin that showed off her teeth and the soft flesh of her gums. "Indeed. Little morsel loves to play as my dinner from time to time." She nuzzled into him and bit at his cheek, forcing the dragon to hide his face in her coils.

"Well, I have something for you that would allow that play to become a reality. Compliments of the Vore House of Klyneth, here are two potions that will turn your entire digestive tract into a ride of a lifetime for your hapless prey. Don't worry, they'll be safe thanks to the patented concoction I hold in my hand. That one runs out? No problem, here's another one that will make your womb the perfect snuggly place for your dragon companion, as long as he's not claustrophobic!" He held both out between his fingers.

The green and yellow dragon's eyes went wide as he reached greedily for the two potions, snatching them out of Vinn's hand. "That sounds amazing!" He muttered, mostly to himself as he nuzzled into the naga's coils.

"Looks like this little morsel here is in for an interesting journey. Thank you, sir. And where might I find this house of vore?" She asked.

"North of Klyneth on the Urto Trade route. Massive castle with golden metal highlights everywhere. Can't miss it!" Content with his two successful pitches, he carried on to the next group, his confidence growing.

He still wasn't sure how he'd go about propositioning the Hippogryph and red-feathered bird. Ha had the vial with the needle, but something about that made him think they would just think he was a creepy drug pusher. He wanted to offer it to them anyway, but also didn't want to get reported. However, he had the swollen ego from successfully selling to the last two he talked to, so he pulled up a chair and sat next to them. This was very much unlike him, so he had to go with it and exude that confidence.

"Good evening gentlemen. It's not hard to tell you both are quite well endowed, and I am here to offer you something special and unique, Compliments of the Vore House of Klyneth. One vial of what I have to offer will not only make your member grow to epic proportions, but it would also make it a ravenous snakelike demon of hunger!" He put on a fake smile, realizing that his boisterous invitation wasn't going quite as well as he'd hoped.

The black and white hippogryph seemed mildly interested, but the other just had a look of skepticism on his beak, one eyebrow raised. The red bird chirped gently in disdain. "Huh, well that's an odd thing to come out and say, isn't it?"

The other let out a nervous giggle. "Well, yeah, but it could be fun, who knows, right?"

"Not really, no." The red avian shook his head in disapproval. There was a hint in his expression saying simply that he was just saving face, but Vinn didn't know him well enough to make that judgement call.

Instead, he got up and nodded towards them, giving them a gentle salute before heading off. "I apologize, gentlemen, I didn't mean to intrude. I understand our services are not what I would call mainstream."

Just as he took his first step towards the next group, the hippogryph grabbed him by the wrist. "No, it's fine. I appreciate it, and despite what this bird says, I'm curious. Tell me more." The red bird raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

Vinn smiled again, digging into his bag to find the injection for him, plastic cap over the needle point for safety. "Simple, inject this here into your stallion bits, and it grows, turning your, other stallion bits into a delectable place for anyone to reside, at least for a few days. Only enough here for 48 hours of the hyper growth and vore serum, so have fun with it!" HE left the syringe on the table and left for real this time, leaving them to argue amongst each other about the value in such an odd and specific potion/serum.

It was time to move on. Next up was the pairing of the clydesdale and the wolf, who he'd seen rubbing at the horse's cock under the kilt. His confidence was shaky a bit after the partial rejection by the red bird, but the reminder that these two were clearly into this kind of thing bolstered his resolve.

He was a bit more subtle this time, leaning over the side of the booth to get the wolf's attention. "Hey, I was sitting at the bar earlier, and I noticed that you and your horse friend of yours seemed to enjoy some particularly lewd activities under the table."

Immediately, the wolf lowered his hind paw to the ground with a wet squelching sound as he shugged, partially hiding his face. The equine blushed heavily as well; both were shocked they'd been seen.

Vinn raised his claws, as if to show he wasn't hiding anything. "No judgement, guys. Promise, I wasn't doing it to make you feel uncomfortable. On the flip side, I actually have a little something that might make your endeavours a bit more...fulfulling."

The horse spoke up,adjusting his glasses and regaining his composure. "Go on. I'm curious."

"Alright, I work for a place up north called the Vore House of Klyneth, and I'm here to-"

Vinn was cut off immediately by the chubby, thickly feathered equine. "Oh, I've heard of that place before. Sounded like a lot of fun, but when I was there they only catered to prey, so I wasn't able to take advantage."

His frill went up immediately, knowing that he found a fan already! In a nation as large as Saff'Rald, it was amazing to think he'd ever find someone who'd already been to Klyneth! "Yeah! That's the one! Well, we have since then hired a few dedicated prey items for folks like yourself to nibble on, if you get my drift. But more importantly, we're branching out a bit into sales of potions so you can enjoy yourself at home without the need for our vore professionals! I mean, it's a great place to try out, but our potions allow that same form of intimacy with your loved ones!" Vinn reached out to pat gently at the wolf's shoulder, forcing the canine to slink down even lower.

"Oh? Well I suppose I'm very curious. I'm a student at Yearnil Unversity - just off for the summer - and I'm very curious to see how these potions work, especially how the potions interact with the body."

"Normally, the potions can be kind of expensive, since they're incredibly hard to make and require a very specific and powerful blend of magics to properly imbue the effects, but I'm here today to give some away to some lucky mates that I think would appreciate what I have to offer!"

The horse got to his hooves and extended one of his massive, powerful hands to the much smaller Vinn. He was a full meter taller than the lizard, and Vinn wasn't exactly a tiny guy. "Well, I greatly appreciate your offer! How does one go about getting some of this sample potion?"

"Oh, I have some right here!" Vinn reached into his satchel and pulled two - no, three - magenta vials out and handed them to the equine. "All three of these are a blend of malleability and the patented internal hospitality potions. Together, they allow anyone of the proper size to comfortably nestle into your...stallion parts. If you get my drift. Or belly, if that's your thing, but I don't get the impression a herbivore would be all too into that."

The horse shook his head slowly to ruffle his partially messy and tangled mane. "Naw, not my thing at all, but I'm sure we'll have a tonne of fun with it. By the way, my name's Vasmeth, but my friends call me Vas!" He put the vials in the satchel on his kilt and extended his hand again, this time to shake Vinn's, before indicating towards the wolf. "And this is my companion, Adam. But don't let his shyness turn you away, he's quite sociable once you get to know him." HE gave Vinn's hand a powerful shake before sitting back down, eyeing the vial between two of his massive fingers.

Adam lowered his muzzle again and raised a single hand to wave his fingers, as if to say 'hi' in the most meek and shy way possible.

"You know, I've never actually heard of potions - or magic, for that matter - that can alter one's physiology." Vasmeth mused as he tapped his hoof-like fingernail on the side of the vial. "I am very, very excited to see what this does to me." He then turned to Vinn and smiled a wide grin.

Vinn smiled back and waved, deciding his time with these two was over, letting them have their private time as he went through the checklist of the other tavern patrons. Next up beside them was the group of four - including the gator, bat, wolf, and dragon - but he opted not to bother then. Four individuals playing a game didn't strike him as the vore type, and he'd already given out a half dozen potions; he needed to pace himself.

The last group in the tavern was the pair of warm colored dragon hybrids, including the phoenix-type that made Vinn feel uncomfortable, for some reason. He walked up to them, but then decided to just walk right past them, for fear of being caught in some sort of conversation about things he wasn't prepared to deal with at this time. He gave both of them a gentle wave and carried on his way, returning to his beer that he'd left at the bar.

"Well that was an interesting little trip you took." The stallion barkeep said to him as he sat down.

Vinn laughed a bit and took a sip of his beer. "What can I say? I have a passion for what I do, and I'm pretty dedicated to bringing that love to the masses."

"That horse you talked to, Vasmeth, he's a buddy of mine. I can only imagine what potions you offered him to make him smile like that. So what was it? In the potion, I mean."

A smile spread across Vinn's face as he saw another opportunity to sell his potions. "Vore stuff, it's a potion specifically designed to make the body more malleable - kind of a pre-emptive healing potion - as well as turn one's inner fluids into a breathable chemical that can be safely inhaled into the lungs. Only potion of its kind in the world, and we make it exclusively at the Vore House."

"Sounds rather interesting. Not really my thing, but Vas there must be over the moons right now. He's wanted to try that kind of stuff with his wolf buddy for a while now and hasn't been able to figure out how to do it. If your stuff works, it'll be a sort of breakthrough in his studies."

"Oh, it works. I've used it myself, and been on the pre-end of it thanks to a buddy of mine. It works, and it works well for a solid two days after ingestion. We're just working on a more powerful blend that will last longer, even though the effects can result in intense hunger after the effects wear off."

"Wow. You have really put a lot of thought into it, haven't you?"

"Not just me; it's the result of years of research by myself, Leera, Valencia, Ilorek, and Ceylon. We were actually working on the potions before setting up the Vore House, but they're just finally releasing to the public now that we're worked out the kinks." He took another sip before having his attention drawn to the Naga and Fox-Demon hybrid known as Montiga and Krevaan, respectively. They were down at the feral end of the bar, snipping and snapping at one another, arguing over who would eat who in a struggle.

"You wouldn't ssstand a chance!" Montiga hissed as he slammed a mug down on the table, coiling up his neck and striking weakly at Krevaan.

Krevaan, on the other hand, simply dodged the weak attempt at a strike and slammed the naga's head down on the bar. "Or I could just tear you open, eat you bit by bit. I hear snake is a delicacy around these parts!"

Sensing a brawl was about to erupt, Vinn quickly took a gulp of his beer and returned to the two travelers he'd arrived with, digging into his satchel to grab two of the basic Vore serums. "I have a better idea. How about you two each take a swig of this, and go out back to see who eats who? You know, fight nice, you two."

Both of them stopped to glance sidelong at Vinn, unsure of how to carry on. It was Montiga who spoke up first. "But I don't want to eat him, he'sss my buddy!"

It was immediately evident that the both of them were busily drinking while Vinn was propositioning the various patrons of the bar, and were in that barrier where they were kind of buzzed and not thinking right, but still mostly lucid.

Krevaan, as though he was trying to illustrate Vinn's thought process, put his front paw around Montiga's shoulders and gave him a sloppy lick on the cheek, making Montiga recoil in disgust.

"Well, you two have your fun, and do watch out for the dragon outside. I think he'll eat the both of you if you're not careful." Vinn warned before heading back to his beer so he could finish it off in one long gulp. Finished for the day, he put a few more coins down on the bar and turned to leave, only to be approached by the two gryphons that were interested in the eggplay.

The green one nuzzled up to him close. "Excuse me, sir. Can we have a chat outside?"

Vinn nodded and the three of them left the Jade Goblet together to have a chat outside next to the path between the cobblestone and the thick forest that smothered them on both sides. "What can I help you two with?" He offered, genuinely concerned and helpful. Part of him was worried they'd reconsidered and were going to change their mind about their interest in the potion he'd given them.

"Well, the commander and myself were thinking, if this stuff actually works, how can we get more? We were thinking about all the stuff we'd want to do, and we realized that a few weeks just wasn't enough time."

Vinn nodded in understanding. "Well, The Vore House is planning on putting it on sale at the castle, and were thinking about selling in local markets around Saff'Rald, so you could either travel north and go get some - three gold a vial - or you can wait until we bring a vendor down to Yearnil. Up to you."

"We thank you, kind lizard. By the way, my name is Cygnovum, and this is Commander Lost, I want you to know how appreciative we both are of your offer, and we look forward to using your potions. For now, we return back to Yearnil, and we will be sure to seek you out. Come on dear, let's go have some fun!" Cygnovum signaled to Lost, and the two of them happily sauntered down the cobblestone way while Vinn happily patted at his satchel.

"Very interesting." A Booming voice lumbered from behind. "Now I'm kind of curious about this potion you gave me. What exactly does it do and how does it work?" It was the massive, Fox-tailed dragon that had been stalking the Jade Goblet before Vinn had entered.

Vinn smiled and took in a deep breath before explaining it in detail. "Well, it's a potion imbued with a variety of magics derived from the unique physiology of the naga at the Vore House. It allows anyone with the bone structure to allow it the malleability of flesh of a snake, mixed with the breathable digestive fluids that their species has evolved to keep prey alive while in their belly. You too can be a safe and compassionate predator with some of our potion! As an added bonus, it will completely satisfy one's hunger for about three full days, ensuring that you won't be plagued with the rumbling of a belly while one's belly is incapable of digestion!"

The magenta dragon smiled and grinned, baring his fangs. "So if I drank some of this right now and gobbled you up, my hunger would be gone?"

"Well, maybe not. Takes a few minutes to take effect, maybe as much as an hour before you could safely play pred to some hapless prey. Tell you what. You drink the potion, then follow me to Yearnil, and by the time we get there and I'm done with my meeting with the marketplace director, I'd be happy to let you have a taste." He winked a seductive wink before turning to walk down the pathway.

Just then, the massive feral doors swung open, and out came the two drunk companions that were still going on about who would eat who, each with their respective vials in their hands.

"Nope, I'm bigger than you!" Krevaan boasted.

"Sssince when did that matter to any snake?" Montiga hissed back.

Both of them easily passed Vinn on the pathway, followed by the magenta dragon, who turned to look at Vinn with a devious grin. "By the way, name's Ryuusin. I'll see you in town as soon as I've had my fun with these two. Say, you promise it works?"

Vinn nodded slowly. "Promise."

"Good." with that, Ryuusin turned and leapt after Montiga and Krevaan, presumably to catch up with them within seconds.

Finally ready to be on his way, Vinn padded his way down the walkway, content in his endeavours for the day. Five new prospective clients, and a tonne of options for the future, and he hadn't even reached Yearnil yet.

He had barely went around the curve of the pathway when he heard the soft clopping of hooves on the cobblestone behind him. He turned to see Vasmeth and Adam in tow behind him, the powerful stallion carrying the much smaller wolf on his shoulders.

"Rannik tells me you're headed to Yearnil. Mind if we join you?" Vasmeth asked, a look of earnest hope on his face.

"I don't see why not. The others all seem to be heading there, too. I'm just going to try to sell the idea of a potion vendor in the Yearnil marketplace before heading back to Klyneth to, hopefully, start mass production of them."

Vasmeth smiled and kept pace with Vinn as they all sauntered down the pathway back to the trade route. When they finally hit the intersection, they were greeted with the peculiar sight of Ryuusin about to pounce at Montiga and Krevaan while Cygnovum and Lost watched and giggled.

It was going to be one interesting trip.
