Another one featuring my favourite in-law: Hunson Abadeer Mitsuhisa Aotsuki

It has been months.

My wife and I have been struggling with the guilt on a single mistake that I made. Am I not a good father? Have I not provided his needs? His wants? Hell if I know what he wanted, he never opened up to me. Or at least before that dreadful day. All I want is for my family to be happy, and yet what I did was the opposite. I never should've pushed my ideals to him. I never wanted any of this.

The damage has already been done.

And now I sat here on the side of our bed, wishing upon a star in hopes of getting him back someday. I want to make amends. I want to start over. I want to fulfill his dream.

But I was a coward. I was too afraid to make a move. I am afraid to make the same mistake again. My wife out-manned me, took the first step of reaching him out. Upon knowing this, I as well, have made a move. I'd snuck out of bed, a ticket was clasped within my hand. I took my keys from the side table, and silently drove my way to the neighboring town. And before getting out of my vehicle, I'd always make sure I'm not noticeable. I took off my glasses, ruffled my hair to make it look 'wild', or so the youngsters would call it. My white undershirt best blend in from the walls.

Yes, I've been there, more than a couple of times. I'm not a big fan of music, but I do appreciate theirs. I've waited for half an hour until their band, 'Musikus' was the name, finally made their performance. The band was composed of four members. A Canary who appeared to have a voice of silk. A Calico feline who's silence can speak in volumes through his bass. A horse, who's rough performance reflected his personality. And finally a Husky, once again reminded me that my son can do more on what I expect from him. He stood by his own belief. And yet again, here I am, standing here with my mouth agape, useless, only be able to see the progress of my son without me in his life.

I left as soon as they are finished. Drove straight back to where I originally was. I sat down on the edge of our bed, the remains of the ticket still within my hand. My wife, who was awake all this time, asked me on how it went. I took off my glasses for one last time, and she proceed to rub my back as if to comfort. Tilting my head to look up the void, amid a crowd of stars, the moon shone as bright as ever. And there, I saw a shimmering light with it's tail trailing behind. A tear also fell along with the light. I wasn't able to conceal it any longer.

"He'll be back," I said. "Someday."
