Awoken... (been a while...)
Driven to write again, I'll share what I can for now...
Awoken... (been a while...)
Eyes closed, I saw nothing but a wall
As I finally slept with eyes open, I could finally watch it fall
A dream or reality, it didn't matter either way...
In a blur so obscure, what you see can be night & day
Mismatched with memory a jumble of thought
You can forget to remember what you forgot...
For what seemed like I dreamed, I could only do whatever I wanted, nothing surprising in the least
Each night, with a heart hungry, my imagination had a feast
It was never enough, never seemed to fill
Every instant, the best of any dreamt thrill
As time passed, there was nothing to look forward to
All was as perfect as could be, I had but everything to do
It was a nightmare toward to deepest of desire
I was frostbitten as I stood in the fire
Such a way to go astray
I had nothing I needed to say...
I hope only toward the best of the bridges between
After all, barren fields with work, can be, forever green...
