#2 of Folfy Tails

So here's the second part of my Folfy Tails story.

I do realize it is a bit shorter, but I'm still working on building my abilities again. All i really have to say about this is that I've been scared to go see what the story was like back when i had first wrote the ideas in Highschool (Over 5 years ago now)

Characters are all (c) me

Costumes, song, etc (c) People who did Labyrinth, and David Bowie.

Rushing around the small apartment, Tenke was obviously trying to do too many things at once while h got ready for the evening. After a quick shower and grooming of his fur the folf yanked on a pair of tight blue jeans. They hugged his thighs and flared out down over his feral like calves and stopped just above his ankles. Next was a long sleeved, cream colored shirt. He pulled the wrists up behind his elbows and pulled a drawstring to hold them in place. The extra fabric hanging down again over his forearms. Over top of that, he wore a white vest with gold embroidery laved over its surface. Patting out hos clothes, Tenke returned to the bathroom to comb his brown hair back into a ponytail, held back with a light green scrunchie.

The folf had honestly been looking forward to this all day. Still, it surprised him how he was acting. It'd been barely a day since he had broken up with Kiyka and now he was dolling himself up to go out on the town. With a shake of his head, the thought was dismissed from his mind. It's not like he was going to be actually looking for anybody already. But for sure he was going to enjoy himself tonight.

Making sure his hair was tied back tight, he heard the roar of a large engine stop right out front of his apartment. Grabbing his wallet and attaching it to his belt he darted out to meet Anki. The wolf was sitting in the driver's seat of his forest green 1969 Camero, he soft-top pulled back to expose them to the evening air. As soon as Tenke was sitting in the passenger seat they began their trip to the club. "Looking good foxie." he teased. Tonight Anki was wearing a full outfit rather than just his usual pair of shorts. Covering his chest was a black unbuttoned button up, red and blue lines and crescents patterned it in a very tribal manner, hanging open over a white tank-top. "Oh, by the way, I got you this for tonight." He said and grinned, handing the folf a mask.

Tenke looked down over it, flicking his ears. "Why?" he said, tracing the edges of it. It looked very much like a pair of wings or leaves jointed at the stem, the nose was extended out to fit the fox's nose. He pulled it on and adjusted it just before they pulled up behind the club. It was easily the biggest club in the city. Standing at two stories it was designed to look like a futuristic, Tron like building. They got out and entered the building through the employee door.

"Well, tonight we're hosting a singles, masquerade ball kind of dance." Anki said and pulled on his own plain black mask and smiled. " Go grab yourself something to drink, pup. Everything's on me tonight." he chuckled and gave his shoulder a pat before walking up to the stage where he spoke with a female squirrel that stood behind the tables.

Tenke walked down the length of the bar, moving quite far before he was able to find an empty stool. As soon as he sat down the tall lizard barkeep asked him what he was going to drink. Getting the long island iced tea quickly, he turned his attention back towards the dance floor. There were easily hundreds of furs; either dancing or lining the outside of the club in booths and chairs around tables. He sighed and drank from the tall glass. "This might have been a better idea with a date..." he thought to himself and continued to drink. He jumped and sputtered, coughing on his drink as he felt a heavy paw tap his shoulder. He quickly grabbed a napkin and wiped his muzzle before turning around.

"Excuse me. Would you care for a dance?" A tall male asked him in a deep voice. Tenke eyed him over quickly, his muzzle hanging open, speechless. The tall male was wearing black leather pants that hugged his powerful legs; Tenke wondered how he even got something this tight on. His top was covered with a long sleeved, black shirt that was open save two or three buttons on the bottom holding it together. From the open part of the shirt, white ruffles spilled out; the same ruffles hung loosely around his wrists. A jewel took place around his neck that held the collar closed around his neck to tie the whole ensemble together. Looking up at the male's face he saw that the entire top was covered with his mask. A red demon look to it, giving him a very hellish look. Four horns extended out from the forehead, going backwards along his skull. Tenke couldn't see much of his form, but the long tail that hung along with the tails from his jacket suggested that he was a lupine. Tenke could only nod, words failing him as he looked down at the offered paw. He stood up and took the paw and walked onto the dance floor with him.

As they began dancing, Tenke could hear the song begin as they stood close to each other. Tenke's head only came up to the wolf's chest, his ears flitting up as he soon recognized the song that had begun.

"There's such a sad love; deep in your eyes, a kinda of pale jewel; Open and closed with in your eyes, I'll place the skies within your eyes. There's such a fooled heart; Beating so fast in search of new dreams; I love that will last within your hear. I'll place the moon, within your heart. As the pain sweeps through; Makes no sense for you. Every thrill is gone; Wasn't too much fun at all. But I'll be there for you-ou-u. As the world falls dooowwwnn..." The tall wolf sung along with the song, just barely heard above the music that played. All the while looking into Tenke's bright green eyes with his silvery, blue-green eyes.

Their dance drew out for what Tenke would have hoped was forever. With the finally words of the song fading out, Tenke was spun around and pulled his back against the wolf's front and he let his eyes drift shut. Being so close, the folf could feel the heat coming through their clothes and a strong scent filling his senses. Tenke felt like it was familiar, but he couldn't place it to anything at the moment. As the next song began, Tenke turned back around and opened his eyes to find that the wolf was no where among the crowd. His head spun at the sudden disappearance of the lupine as he made his way back towards the bar.

Did that happen? Was he just something I made up? He thought as he sat down, his ears pinned against his skull and he picked his drink up again and drained it before ordering another from the reptile behind the bar.

The night grew long as the folf had a few more drinks, numbing his brain and body. He had come out onto the dance floor near the end of the night when the music became more quick paced and the dances became more individualized. Eventually though Anki took his paw and lead back to the bar "Come on pup, it's time to head home." After paying for Tenke's Tab, they made their way back to the car. Helping the younger folf into the car, Anki then walked over to his door, he started the engine right up. And started heading towards Tenke's apartment. "Looks like the foxie had some fun tonight. Did you get his number?" He smiled. Anki only got a soft, slurred reply from the folf, making the timber wolf chuckle. "Ah, I'm sure you'll bump into him again sometime." He said. Once they got to the apartment complex, he helped Tenke into his room where he stripped the smaller canine down to his boxers. Laying him in bed he smiled and covered the male up with the light blanket. "I'll stop by tomorrow, see how you're doing. Sleep good foxie." he said, hearing a weak thank you in reply before the door shut.

Anki did come back the next morning. In face the wolf began hanging aroundnearly every afternoon. It was a good thing though, between the gaming and going out to bowling alleys and dinner or lunch, he had little time to give any thought about what had happened prior to these days.

After one wonderful night out on the town, Anki was driving them back from a long day at the recreation center. The top was laid back again, their hair flowing in the wind. "Hey Tenke, got anything planned for Monday?" Anki said loud enough to speak above the wind.

The folf flicked his ears and looked over at the wolf and chuckled. "Not really, you doing anything." He lazily parroted the question.

"Well I probably wouldn't be asking if I did have anything, now would I?" He poked playfully at the younger canine. "But no, I mostly just though that we could....go out..?" He asked, never taking his eyes off of the road. When Tenke looked over, he saw a blush burn bright through Anki's white fur.

This made the folf blush as well, piecing together what Anki was really asking. "Sure, I'm free, Got anything planned?" He leaned lightly against the door and grinned at the bigger male.

"I'm not gonna tell, I just though that with your birthday coming up this weekend, I could make up to you then, since I work over the weekend." He said and shrugged.

Tenke's blush grew darker under his fur. With all the distractions from the last few weeks, Tenke had completely lost track of time, and that it had come up to his birthday already. He nodded and wiggled his thick tail and smiled. "Yeah, I'd definitely be up for whatever." He chuckled and gave Anki one last look before he turned his attention back out of the window for the last few minutes of their drive. When they got to Tenke's apartments, Anki smiled and waved the folf off. "I'll see you monday. Try not to get into trouble foxie." He teased, smiling as he watched Tenke walk into his apartment before driving off to his own home.
