#1 of Galactic Ranger Chronicles

After much research on other CYOA, and my own personal situation. I am determined to make this story and system finally work. In this case, this story will focus on a science fiction theme where the adventures of a member of the Galactic Ranger Corps will be recorded. I thank the other works of Choose Your Own Adventure stories on Sofurry by authors such as Sisco and Gideon Kalve Jarvis. Now I realize that I overextended myself on previous attempts at CYOA and will keep this series exclusive to Sofurry. I look forward to writing and hope this will entertain you all. Please participate and vote, as the story can only advance because of you.

The Rules:

  1. This adventure will be adult and gay in nature. Included will be events of a various fetishy nature. This might include but is not limited to bondage, soft vore, slavery, rape, tentacles, soft torture, BDSM, humiliation, mind control and etc. If you do not wish to read this stuff and whatever could come up in the future, you have been warned.
  2. Voting policy will be thus. At the end of each story, a certain number of choices will have to be made. Voters may choose one from each category or a ranked selection according to the instructions. After 12 votes or after 5 days. The votes will be tallied and the next chapter will start being written. Suggestions for additional choices can be made but will be accepted at the judgment of the writer. Ties would be broken by random generation.
  3. This adventure will continue until the end of the adventure path or the interest of the readers are gone. Furthermore 'bad ends' can occur and the choice to continue the storyline will be dependant on the readers' choice to continue until they reach a 'good end'.
  4. Disclaimer- This work and others like it are based off of Choose your Adventure systems and other quest games online. The only thing I claim is the universe this story takes place in.

Choices-

Protagonist-

Here you select the ranger whose story would be told. Please select a character. The character's personality will determine what path options are available and affects how he reacts to the events in the story. Some choices would made easier or harder depending on the ranger's personality and some events might be lost because of the ranger's temperament or mindset.

Ranger Scott: Coming from a long line of Rangers, this sleek and solid skunk with the superior smirk has a lot to live up to. This skunk is in it to rise through the ranks by as many means as possible. It shows with his large number of completed missions and commendations. He comes out as quite strong to those he meets whether colleagues or citizens and pushes forward to get results and the last word. This skunk's not above using his good looks, toned body and sharp charm to get what he wants. Whether it's the information needed for a crime investigation or a night on the town. He knows what he wants and isn't shy about how he gets it.

Ranger Josh: Raised in the Ranger's regiments from birth. This lean husky with light gray fur has blue eyes that shine with the ideals of the ranger corps. His entire life had been dedicated to upholding the concepts of justice, honor, adventure and integrity central to the mission of the rangers. However Josh would choose patrols that would take him into civil areas as it gives him a chance to interact with other people. He never feels comfortable going out on patrols in the wilderness but he'll never shy away from upholding the prestige of the ranger title.

Ranger Nero: A veteran member of the rangers, this cat with the bright blue fur is a welcome sight during patrols. He always has a smile on his face and a joke or kind word to share. Citizens look forward to seeing his limber but solid self about and when trouble comes, they hope that he'll be on the case on his fleet feet and toned thighs. This feline won't hesitate to dive in whatever circumstance there is, holding his duty as a ranger most dear to his heart. Nero knows he wins the hearts of those that he meets, rescues or sometimes opposes. He sometimes accepts their company when not on duty.

Ranger Roger: This tall buff green furred rabbit is one of the newest members on the Galactic Ranger force. Being the new kid on the block, Roger wants to make a name for himself. He's carrying a bit of an attitude making himself coarse to his fellow rangers and the citizens of the Galactic Federation. Ever since he had been first deployed, he charges into every situation heedlessly, trusting in his sculpted body to carry him through. As a result of this he has been placed on a slow track to advancement within the ranks. Another reason for this designation is during delicate negotiations and investigation is rather too trusting. This had landed him in some very embarrassing situations but he hasn't learned his lesson yet.

Special Perks-

Every Ranger is different in the matter of talents, advantages or focused training they posses. Some have unlocked the hidden potential of their brains. Others have developed their positions in the corps or in the civilian sector. Some rangers have gone into advance training courses to expand the number of situations and duties they can handle. The character will have four of these perks available to be selected.

Psychic Perks:

*Telepathy-This character has been able to develop a hidden psychic talent. The character can communicate by mind and can also listen in to the surface thoughts of a target. Use of this power requires concentration and there is always the risk of being taken unawares mentally or physically. Many a telepath have been ensnared by telepathic traps or knocked out when deep in a telepathic trance.

*Prescience- This character has been able to develop a hidden psychic talent. The character can receive hints and warnings of future events and dangers. While useful in avoiding trouble, this talent's power is not absolute. Events and hazards can slip under the radar and the warnings given do not follow any scale of priority. An example would be that a character with prescience would avoid a pitfall only to run into an ambush.

*Telekinesis- This character has been able to develop a hidden psychic talent. The character can move objects with mental effort. Use of this power requires concentration and tires the character in relation to the weight of the object moved. Lapse of concentration when using this power can have dangerous results.

Social Perks:

*Officer-Due to distinguished service, the character has a higher rank and as a result more privileges and authority. Some effects of this perk include easy access to restricted areas, reduction of wait times for entrance, requisitioning supplies or ordering information. However this comes with greater scrutiny and more responsibilities and duties as well as an added element of danger as the character is now a more valuable target for unlawful groups.

*Genetically Augmented-To your character's fortune or misfortune. He has been genetically augmented from birth and has now developed into a pinnacle physical specimen. This perk increases the chances of succeeding at actions requiring strength of body, quickness of reflexes, fleetness of foot and just about any task that requires a well built body. A small disadvantage would be that you'll be a high profile target for body trafficking, since good breeding of a such a good physical specimen that can be put to so many illicit uses drives up the price.

*Cerebral Implants-To your character's fortune or misfortune. He has Cerebral Implants installed in his brain that allows him to remotely operate technology and perform computer operations mentally. This perk allows for wireless interfacing with technology with the mind as well as information retrieval and other computer operations using a purely mental interface. A risk of this perk is that like all digital devices, it can be hacked into and leaves the character vulnerable when using it.

*Wealth-Whether from investments or other methods, the character has a much larger stash of personal wealth. The most obvious benefit of this perk is being able to afford just about any object or good one fancies. However this perk also puts one into more elite civilian company. However with great amounts of cash comes greater amounts of criminal interest.

Training Perks:

*Scout-The training for rangers focused on exploration and criminal hunting. This perk gives greater success in survival in hostile environments, tracking, navigation and any other skill a ranger would need when exploring the wilderness and pristine environments of undiscovered planets.

*Diplomat- The training for rangers focused on diplomatic work and interacting with the civilian sector. This perk gives greater success in negotiations and moving around the august circles of the government, common citizen, foreign powers and the elite. It also provides some skills in social maneuvering and all other manners of diplomacy

*Espionage-The training for rangers focused on spying, intelligence work, and interacting with the criminal element. This perk gives greater success and training in intelligence gathering, infiltration, larcenous activities and knowledge of the criminal underworld.

*Tech-savvy-The training for rangers dealing with technology and engineering. It gives greater success in dealing with mechanical and other technological devices. Furthermore creation of personal equipment at any time is possible.

Combat Training-

The universe is a harsh place and the criminal element won't come to the long arm of justice peacefully. That is why Rangers receive instruction on how to suppress these criminals through the use of force. The following is the most common combat training given to the rangers.

*Laser Pistols-The character is mostly focused on ranged energy weaponry. It is the staple and icon of galactic law enforcement. Besides knowing how to shoot, the character also knows how to use his pistol as a secondary tool and how to use the laser shots to affect the environment.

*Hand to Hand-The character is mostly focused on hand to hand combat. The body itself is a weapon and the character learns how to use it to its fullest potential. Besides knowing how to best inflict damage with the body and never being unarmed, the character gains an understanding of the body's limits and how it operates. Perfect for knowing when a criminal is actually unconscious or just faking.

*Kinetic-Weapons- The character is mostly focused on using Kinetic Weaponry. Weapons with technology that increases the force and speed of one's blows. The character will be skilled in using these Kinetic weapons in combat and several utility uses for these devices.

Adventure Path-

The assignments of the Galactic Rangers are many and varied but here's the orders that has filtered down to the character's communication device.

A) An important witness to the trial of crime and slave lord L.D Bear has suddenly disappeared. The witness, a Mr. Devon, brown bat was taken from the justice department's safe house. The security detail assigned to Mr. Devon has also gone missing and inquires to their families has reported they have not gone home. Mr. Devon is a key witness in the ongoing trial to convict L.D Bear for his numerous crimes in fur trafficking, credit laundering, loan sharking, and sex slavery. If the witness can not be secured in time before the trail's ending, the case will fall apart and L.D Bear will continue to walk free to run his criminal empire. The ranger must secure Mr. Devon and investigate the reasons behind his disappearance.

B) It was a routine patrol through sector X-34 when a sudden flare storm blows up. The pulsing waves of electromagnetic energy have scrambled the ship's controls and is now sending the ranger into a tailspin towards the nearest planet. The storm had come out of nowhere and ranger star ships are equipped with sensors for natural flare storms when they occur. This means that some outside force is responsible for this. Your mission will be to survive the crash, scout out the planet area, send a distress signal, and seek out whatever caused the flare storm in the sector. One will face hostile environments, dangerous natives, and hidden perils in the search for the truth.

C) Haunted by a traumatic experience at sea, the ranger has been sent on medical leave to the resort planet of Haglass. Recuperating on the warm white sands and the crystal blue waters with charming resorts nearby. Things become complicated with the abduction of several of the natives on the planet. Braving the proximity of the water and getting over whatever that haunts him. The ranger will investigate the reason behind the missing natives and put a stop to it. This will take him through several tribes and areas converted into tourist areas. Even reaching into the backstage of what makes this charming resort planet and into the seedy underbelly beneath.

D) The famed explorer Captain Sam E Stokes has been found alive. He was declared dead after no trace of him was found in his search for the mysterious ruin of the planet Elysium. However his mental condition was severely damaged when he was recovered and he is now recuperating after his ordeal. Still he was coherent enough to reveal that he had found the planet Elysium and that great wonders were found there. Yet in that same interview he spoke of the dangerous powers and weaponry that was stored there and whispered of horrors that came down on his expedition. The Galactic Federation has delayed release of the interview and has sent a ranger there to investigate the planet and to ensure everything of danger to the Federation has been locked down and confiscated before a horde of treasure hunters dive down upon it.
