CHAPTER 1: DARK BEGINNINGS
It was told in the old prophesies that our most beloved creation will be our worst enemy. Our Ancients believed that it would be their created Anthropomorphic dragons that would go rogue and bring death and destruction. Luckily enough for them, it wasn't us.
In 3161, only a few centuries after the Elemental Clans of the Earth and Fire districts caused a bloody civil war, did our synthetics rise against us. It started on Laplialiv, our last colonized planet in the Alpha Sector and the main planet with over 30 large synthetic factories. Word didn't reach Ragrinok in time before the planet feel under their control.
Now calling themselves the Legion. They have caused terror within us as they began to invade Kubroenia only a month later. They created troops and ships in masses making for a dangerous enemy in such a short time.
Oxy, our Ancient of War, declared that all synthetics with-in Ragrinok Imaryu and Thoth be terminated. He, Unica, Lyss, and Eleist believed doing this would eradicate any threat to these 3 main planets. They couldn't of been more wrong. The Dragon Science Union military was small with only a few task fleets and little over 300 army task groups. Eleist and Lyss controlled the DSU and kept Oxy from creating a large army to prevent war between us and other races in the Andromeda Galaxy. This proved to be one of our most fatal mistakes.
Imaryu, the sister planet to Ragrinok, was targeted next after Kubroenia fell under Legion control. With this, Oxy went against the Military Law set in place by Eleist and Lyss and began to train the those willing to defend Imaryu. Aevoth, our Ancient of Stealth, did the same with his Whispers of Aevoth, later known as the Special Tasks Group.
With both Ancients massing armies for Imaryu, they also ordered for fleet building. Soon enough another 5 tasks groups were created, manned and sent to Imaryu. It was just in time as on the 15th of Kingal, 3223 A.D the Battle for Imaryu began. The space battle alone lasted over 5 weeks until the DSU fleets were finally forced to fall back as the Legion introduced their first Achillies Class Titan at the end of the space battle. It decimated our fleets with us doing no damage to its hull. As the battle traveled down to the planet, cities fell under control of the Legion swiftly allowing them to gain a foothold on the planet. However with the large amount of troops from Oxy's army and the Whispers of Aevoth, they were able to recapture the cities. Only to driven out again.
Lyss, our Ancient of Illusion Love and Beauty; trained some of the most powerful magic in our known universe. Known as Illusion, this magic is held under Dark Magic. Being banned on countless words due to its corrupting powers. Lyss trained those with Illusion flowing in their veins. Her Citadel held the most powerfully trained mages. With this, Lyss sent some of her Illusionary Students to help fight on Imaryu. This gave the DSU a fighting chance, for awhile at least.
This was a vicious battle lasted over 2 centuries.
On the 3rd of Juni, 3454 A.D Imaryu fell. Over 3 centuries of constant fighting and the DSU failed. Oxy said that Ragrinok wouldn't last over 3 centuries. Ragrinok had to stay under our control. Oxy immediately ordered full industrialization and that every dragon, dragoness and dragonlings over the age of 57 years old be trained. Our people will be ready. Over 40 task fleets were completed to defend the planet, civilian ships were converted to military ships
Then there's me. My name is Jakli Lyss Carsus. I am a Phantom with-in the Whispers of Aevoth. I am the deadliest weapon on the battlefield. I am the son of Rynaroth and Aesir Carsus, Grandson of Lyss and Aevoth. My ship, the Kryta is ready for battle, my crew is eager. The Legion will not take our home. We will fight to the death.
