So here it is, Completely stripped down and re-vamped.

It's kinda honestly scary how much i've changed in my writing since the first time I've written this story.

Characters and story (c) me

Tenke hummed loudly and off pitch from the music that played from his cellphone. The folf massaged the shower gel into his pelt, giving a groan as he felt all the ickiness from walking up this morning. Rinsing the grim and soap from his body, he turned off the water and shook out his tail before climbing out and started to dry his body. Poking his head out of the bathroom door, he smiled and darted around the corner to his room, knocking the door shut behind him. Letting the damp towel pool around his feed, he rifled through his closet. He heard a wolf whistle come from the doorway, causing him to jump violently. Blushing profusely, he ducked into his closest and looked around to see his roommate, a purely black wolf leaning against the door frame. "Gods damn it, Ishtaar!!" He barked.

Tenke had been living with the wolf for a couple of years now. Having that time, the folf had plenty of time to catch glimpses of the tall wolf. Standing just over six foot tall, Ishtaar was a giant of a canine. Wearing a tight white tank-top, every ridge of his muscles showed through his pure black pelt. Tenke would have thought that he would've been a football star through his high school years. The wolf smiled and flicked his thick tail, batting it against the walls, "Looking good Pup." he said and grinned playfully, sharp, bright teeth showing in his muzzle.

Tenke growled and flicked his ears back. "I hate it when you call me that." He said and started to throw bits of clothes out at the wolf. "Now get out" He said as he picked up a shoe and chucked it at Ishtaar. Once the wolf was gone, he got up and shut the door quickly. He sighed and looked over his form. He felt that he was starting to let himself go a bit. His form was still lean, but he'd started gaining a pair of small love handles although it didn't look bad on his five foot, nine inch form. He shook his head, scattering water around before starting to comb out his fur. Tenke had beautiful auburn fur over much of his body. Ash colored fur made up his chest and belly fur, and markings on his tail, arms and legs. The stockings on his arms started at the middle of his bicep and ran down the full length of his arms to cut off at the tops of his fingers; his legs also following this pattern. Just as he turned to get his, the door swung open again. "Ishtaar!!" Tenke barked and dived back into the closet, he started growling lowly while only his tail stuck out of the sliding doors.

"What? I'm bored, looking for something to do. Teasing you seems to be the most entertaining." He said and quickly darted away from the room once Tenke started throwing more articles of clothing.

"Ugh, you're such a perv." He called after the wolf, shutting and locking the door this time, he started to get dressed. Today he chose to wear his cargo shorts and a loose green t-shirt, the only comfortable things for summer, he found. Once he was dressed, he combed out his brown, shoulder length hair and tied it back with a light blue scrunchy, the folf walked out and saw Ishtaar sitting on the couch.

"Where you heading off too, seem in a hurry." He asked in his usual deep voice. "Someplace I can go?" he teased and pressed the button on a PlayStation controller and smiled as he watched Tenke clip on his rainbow chain and pick up his phone while stashing the wallet the chain was attached to, away in his back pocket.

"Nah. Besides, I thought you didn't like Kiyka?" he said and grabbed his jacket off of the hook, zipping it up as the television show the wolf turned on sidetracked him.

Ishtaar's voice brought him back to the moment. "That not....totally true. I like him, but he can be a jerk sometimes. You just can't see it since you're in love with him." Ishtaar stuck his tongue out at this point.

"Yeah, sure whatever. I'll catch you later." he said and made to leave, but not before he was reminded about coming back for their usual weekend game night.

Tenke knocked on the apartment door and rocked from paw to paw while he waited for an answer. It wasn't long before a red fox answered the door. He had the common deep red-orange fur of his species. Kiyka was just about the same height as Tenke, if not a few inches shorter. Between his ears was slicked back, electric blue hair. On his shoulder was a tattoo of a black tribal sun. wearing a pair of form fitting tattered jeans as well as equally torn black tank top. "O-Oh Hey Tenke." He mumbled and breathed in sharply when the folf hugged him.

Tenke sensed the discomfort from the red fox and stepped back with his wolfish ears laying flat against his head, giving off a small whimper. "Is...Is everything alright hun?" he asked before being led into the entry. He whined again and followed the fox, seeing boxes stacked up near the front of the apartment. The living room was cleaned out and empty for the most part. A few boxes on the coffee table remained open. "What's going on?" He asked, feeling his heart start fluttering as Kiyka pulled him down to sit in their love seat. Tenke didn't live hear, but this chair had so many great memories in it. The pair of vulpines would spend long evenings playing games or watching movies while they snuggled. Or the more private things in their life.

Kiyka held Tenke, an arm draped around his shoulders in a more friendly way than a romantic way. This made Tenke's heart freeze in his chest. "As you can see...I'm getting ready to move..." He paused and waved his paw. "The band's finally getting big and we're going to be leaving." he said and stood up. "It's just I'm thinking since I'm going to be on the road for so long at a time, I was thinking that we should take a break." He half sighed the last of the words. "I still love you, but I don't want you to wait for me." he said and hugged Tenke, giving him one last squeeze before parting. "I've got to finish packing, if you want to stay, you can." He said and started packing thing into the open boxes.

Tenke stood up and clenched his fists. "When the hell were you going to tell me? Would you have left without even saying ANYTHING?" He shouted, tears forming in his eyes. Kiyka opened his muzzle to speak but was immediately cut off. "You know what? Whatever. Have fun. I'll see you around." He said and stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door shut behind him. The folf leaned against the door and shook his head. The entire city fell silent, his whole body was numb and his heart felt like lead in his chest. He reached into his pocket pulled out his phone and began texting with shaking paws.

Trek.

Can we meet up at Mocha's?

I really need someone to talk to, as soon as you can, please.

He snapped the phone shut and walked away from Kiyka's apartment, walking quickly towards the coffee house. Mocha's was a place that Tenke regularly visited. Mostly before he went to work or when he and Trek had the chance to meet up. Once he got there, he ordered himself a drink and sandwich before sitting down in one of the large, plush chairs. He looked up and saw that Trek wasn't too far behind him, making him wait only about ten minutes.

Trek walked up and hugged him tightly before sitting him down in other chair. She was a beautiful hare with silky Lavender fur. Her hair was darker in color, almost a lilac in color, matching her brightly lit eyes. Her form was rather like Tenke's except that she was more in shape than he was. She had a beautiful form, one any woman would die for. Her ears lay back along with her hair like they usually did, she gently fumbled with the anchor shaped pendant that hung around her neck. "So how's things been going for you, little bro?" She asked. The two weren't related by blood, but they had a bond that nothing in the world could break.

Tenke shrugged, but smiled lightly. "I don't know, honestly, I feel so numb." he mumbled and took a deep swallow of his hot drink. "I was...dumped by Kiyka today, but he'd been getting distant for a long while lately. I should have picked up on it before, but today he said he was packing everything up and saying how he was going to be going around with his band. Worst of all he never told me ANYTHING before today." He sighed and drank again. "I just walked out on him, he was saying that he wanted a break from our relationship." He leaned back as he spoke his thoughts.

Trek listened carefully, lifting up her ears. Finally she nodded and leaned forward. "Yeah, I would have probably doing the same thing. He never seemed that trustworthy anyway, he probably said all that because he knew he couldn't pass up all the groupies. You don't need someone like that hun, don't think too hard on it. You'll be alright." she said and took a drink.

"Yeah that's true, the biggest thing is I wasn't that hurt. I mean it sucks, but I'm just numb."

"Better than how it could have been, and I'm glad that he didn't break your heart. You'll be alright." she smiled broadly.

Tenke smiled as well. No matter how glum he was, Trek always managed to lighten him up. "Yeah, you're totally right. So doing anything later?" Over the next couple of hours, the pair sat in the cafe' and talked. When the sun was beginning to set, they hopped into Trek's car and went back to Tenke's house. By the time they got there, the sun had set fully behind the mountains that rimmed the edge of the city. Tenke opened the door to find a group of three furs sitting on the couch, shouting and laughing as the gamed. Ishtaar was sitting in between another wolf and a raccoon. "Come on, Anki, I thought you were a good sniper?!" Ishtaar barked playfully, jerking the controller uselessly to the side.

Anki, who spoke next, was a white timber wolf about Ishtaar's height. He wore no shirt like he normally did. Anki was infamous for wearing as little clothing as possible. Though no one ever complained. Anki had pure white fur until his eyes drifted down his abs and saw a patch of steel blue fur peaking over the waist of his shorts. The same color fur went down a third of the length of his curled tail, giving him the slight appearance of a husky. On the top his his head was a mess of lighter blue-gray headfur. It was laid back between his ears, but still looked like he had just gotten out of bed. He flicked his icy blue eyes towards the others, retorting. "It's not my fault you and Cresta are a bunch of screen-watchers." he yipped as he was shot down again, huffing loudly.

Cresta, the raccoon was taller than the two canines, at about six and a half feet. He had long black that faded to white towards the tips of his braid. The mask over his face was white instead of the usual black. His fur was a light tan color while his belly fur was a darker brown color, actually visible through the white t-shirt he wore. In his lap was a deep brown, almost black tail curled up, his rings joined together to make a white spiral down the length of the tail. "Heh, sure you don't just suck?" he asked as he retreated to heal.

Tenke chuckled at the site and walked into the kitchen with Trek, immediately digging into the chips that were left on the counter. His eyes wandered over the males on the couch while he continue to speak to the lapin. He couldn't help his eyes staying on Anki for longer minutes than he probably should have. Trek noticed this and gave a soft giggle. "Shopping already?" She said in a whisper, looking over her shoulder at Anki. "Not a bad choice." She said and nudged his arm, seeing Tenke became flustered with her comments.

"No-No." he flicked his ears back. "I-It's not like it would happen." He sighed and lay his chin on his paw, crunching into more chips. "I feel I'll never find the one I'm meant to be with. Oh well he sighed softly and continued to snack.

"You never now, You just got to wait for the right time." She smirked and leaned against the counter, watching the white wolf get up from the couch.

Anki had gotten up from the couch and padded towards them. "Free controller to one of you guys." Trek quickly got up and waved as she went to the couch to join in the next round. The wolf stepped around the smaller canine to get to the fridge. "So what have you been up to foxie?" He popped open a can of soda.

"Not bad, I've been better." he shrugged and turned to look at Anki. "Just tired of being jerked around."

"Kiyka?" Anki said. He saw the reaction from the folf, his ears flicking back and a slight darkening in his eyes. "S-Sorry. I know how it goes." He said softly and drank from the can. "Don't worry about it, he's just an arse." he laughed and nodded. "Listen, I'm gigging down at the cub tomorrow if you want to come with. Going to be a special shindig." He crushed the can once he drained the rest of it.

Tenke flicked his tail in thought, giving a few moments of silence, save the sounds of the three in the living room. Finally nodding the folf gave a light smile. "Sounds like it could be fun. Count me in." he smiled and walked back to join the group. When trek got up to leave, Tenke walked her out, stepping into the cool night air. "Thanks for hanging out, sis. Its rare we get to hang out like this anymore." He said and leaned against the door.

The hare nodded. "Don't mention it, can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon.. I'm sorry how things ended between you and Kiyka, but I'm glad that you weren't hurt. I'd have to kick his ass if he did." She said seriously. "You've grown into such a strong man, I'm so proud of you. You'll get were you're supposed to be, don't worry." She finished with a big strong hug. "I'll see you later, have a good night." She waved before starting her car and headed home.

Tenke nodded and thanked her, returning her hug. He turned back inside after a few moments, walking to his bedroom after bidding the remaining three good night, going to sleep listening to the three laughing.
