The Water Dojo: Session #1

Story by TastyTales on SoFurry

Four pokemon entered the water dojo, each with their own reason to reach the end. Some were there to become stronger, but others were more curious about the rumours surrounding the dojo boss, who apparently devours those who lose to him.

But that can't be true, can it?

First story from something I ran over on FA. Hope you all enjoyed it and I hope I got their characters right. The second session will be written soon as I get around to it, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later. x3

Blaine the Riolu, Ebony the Umbreon, Miles the Fennekin and Devsy the Weavile belong to their respective players.

The Water Dojo: Session #1

"Are you sure about this, Blaine?" The Umbreon asked, turning his attention to the Riolu briefly before looking back at the large wooden sign over the door of the large building. 'Marowak's Dojo: Train like a Master'.

"It's the safest way for you to practice battling, Ebony. If we went on a mission together you might get hurt or captured again." Blaine reminded him as he made his way past the timid Umbreon and pushed the door open, "The pokemon in here may be dedicated to their roles as 'wild pokemon', but they're still employees. They're not going to seriously hurt us."

"If you say so. I guess I'm just having second thoughts about being an adventurer at all," The Umbreon replied, following after his friend as he allowed himself to look around the inside of the dojo. The place was fairly sparse, there were a set of chairs across one side of the room and a vending machine for refreshments, other than that it was just the cave leading to the 'dungeons', guarded by a Marowak.

"Oh, hey! Excuse me." A voice called from behind them, catching the pokemons' attention as they turned. A Weavile approached them, dressed in an elaborate feminine outfit comprised of a labcoat and short skirt. A golden bracelet glistened from on his wrist as the light of the dojo caught it and shined in their eyes. "My companion and I were considering entering one of the dojos. Would you possibly consider trying the water dojo? It's the cheapest one."

"Huh? Oh, well. Okay then." Blaine grinned, glad to already be making friends as he looked over his shoulder at Ebony, who was still trying to comprehend the male's strange outfit. "To be honest, we weren't sure which of the dojos to try, so I guess now we've got that figured out too."

"Are you sure it's safe for your companion to train in the water dojo?" The Umbreon asked, pointing over to the Fennekin standing by the vending machine and patiently waiting for the oran berry to drop, "He's a fire type, and he doesn't look particularly strong. Wouldn't he be taken out pretty much right away?"

"Miles was the one who suggested the water dojo, he said the boss at the end of the dungeon has a few techniques he wants to see in action." The Weavile replied with a grin, "That's actually why I'm here. I'm sure people will flock from miles around if Devsy's 'Gurgle-me-not' tonic is proven to keep you safe from the strongest gut in Clearspring."

"W-wait, Gurgle-me-not? Gut?" Ebony blinked, suddenly going pale as he turned to the Riolu. He began to back away nervously, "On second thought, I just remembered I have to do... um.. crosswords today. Sorry, good luck!" he explained hurriedly as he broke into a sprint.

"Ebony, wait!" Blaine gasped, grabbing onto the scarf on the Umbreon's tail to keep him from getting away, "It's just a rumour, I'm sure the dungeon boss isn't really going to eat us." he reassured him, only to get an awkward cough from the Marowak as he eavesdropped on their conversation.

"Are we ready to go?" Miles asked as he approached Devsy, clueless about their conversation thus far. He gulped down the last of the oran berry before grinning over at Ebony, "Hehe, someone's getting cold paws, and it's not our ice type~"

"I can't believe I'm going through with this." The Umbreon muttered before looking over at the Riolu, tugging at the collar about his neck as he tried to match his friend's bravery, "But you -did- take a day off of adventuring just to get me trained up to join the team. I guess we'd better do what we came here to do."

"That's the spirit, onwards to adventure and science!" Devsy cheered, leading the way over to the Marowak. Once they had paid their fees and were stripped of their equipment, it was just a step through the darkness to reach the Water dojo, the door to which appeared to be a Swampert's mouth opening wide to accept the newest challengers.

'Yep...' Ebony thought as he stepped through into the darkness of the Swampert's wooden maw, the creaking beneath his paws sounded an awful lot like a 'gulp' to his overactive imagination. '...I'm lunch.'

The inside of the dojo was pretty much what the team had been expecting. Water flowed endlessly from the rock walls to create waterfalls and the floor beneath them swayed from side to side as it floated on the pool of water beneath them. Unlike a regular Mystery Dungeon, they could see the door at the other end of the hallway as they entered, the words 'Boss Room' were carved into it.

"It should be easy enough to get through, let's all just keep our wits about us." Devsy announced as he stepped forward. A click emitted from under his paw, and as he looked down he felt the ground press in under it as he activated the trap, "AH!"

Ebony quickly covered his eyes with his paws in an attempt to evade seeing what was about to happen to Devsy. He found himself splattered with some strange, sticky substance. 'Don't be blood, don't be blood' he begged quietly, though as he opened his eyes to see what had happened he found himself looking at the Weavile, unharmed but dripping with barbecue sauce.

"Barbecue sauce?" Blaine muttered, licking some off the back of his hand to check it before looking down at himself and shaking his tail to get as much as he could off of him, "Ugh, Looks like we're all covered in it. Nice going, Devsy. Way to 'keep your wits about you'."

"Don't make me feel worse, I'm going to be the one scrubbing it out of my clothes tonight." the Weavile snapped before looking down at his bracelet, pressing the buttons on it, "Damn, my P.D.A.A.I.C is gunked up too, I can't open it."

"Your what?" Miles blinked, seeming pretty calm, if not a little embarrassed, about being covered in condiments.

"It's my P.ersonal D.igital A.ssitant A.rtificially I.nteligent C.omputer." Devsy replied as he raised his wrist to show the golden bracelet hanging from it. He shook it clean of the sauce before beginning to look through it, "It's one of my better inventions, it has quite a few uses, you see-"

"You told Marowak it was just a regular bracelet," Miles gasped, running around the Weavile in terror as he realized they had broken the rules within three steps of entering the dungeon, "we're not supposed to bring items or equipment with us!"

"Well of course I told him that, he wouldn't let me bring it in if he knew the truth. How was I supposed to test my inventions if I left them all outside?" Devsy growled before sighing and shaking his hand a little to get rid of some of the excess sauce, "Ugh, I'll just have to fix it when I get home. Let's keep moving, at least I'll still be able to test the tonic."

They continued on through the dungeon and found the trap was more effective than they had first thought. Water-type pokemon were jumping out of the water and onto the platform just to get a taste of any of the four adventurers. Floatzels, Wartortles, even a Kingdra showed up in an attempt to cram one of the unfortunate pokemon into their stomachs, but the adventurers fought bravely.

"I'm exhausted." Ebony panted, trying to summon the strength to create another dark pulse but finding himself out of energy. He whimpered as his tail was grabbed by a Floatzel and he was lifted above it's hungry mouth, the sauce from his fur began to drip down over the pokemon's tongue. It slurped over his face and opened its mouth wide for him. Ebony closed his eyes as he prepared to drop, only for Blaine to come in at the last moment and Blaze-kick the pokemon off the platform and back into the water.

"I think that's the last of them." Blaine breathed out a sigh of relief, panting as he tried to catch his breath. He helped the Umbreon back to his feet and glanced around, "Damn, we're missing someone."

"Well, I'm here. I guess Miles got bored with all that fighting." Devsy noted as he took a moment to clean his claws with a nail file, getting the orange Floatzel fur out from under them as he looked around idly, "He's probably run on ahead... or he got ate. Either way, he's not here."

"Damn it, we're not supposed to split up." Blaine growled, though as his stomach grumbled impatiently he sighed and sat down, "Okay, let's catch our breath and each have one of the apples we found, then we're going to go looking for him."

"Ah, yes. A picnic surrounded by pokemon who'd rather be having us for lunch than any of the food left on the floor," Devsy noted with a little grin before sitting down by the Riolu and the Umbreon, "Well, I'm sure between us we can keep them away until we've recovered."

The Fennekin kept himself low as he snuck through the dojo, avoiding being noticed by the other water types. He pressed himself against the wall, keeping himself completely still as a pair of Floatzel walked past, one talking about how he 'almost had the Umbreon'. Miles breathed out a sigh of relief as they turned the corner before grinning as he looked ahead. He had finally reached it, the boss door was before him and none of his teammates would see. He pushed the door open, grinning and wagging his tail as he stepped inside.

He found himself in a room not so different from the last, the floor was made up of one large wooden platform and a Swampert sat in the centre of it, his legs crossed as though he were meditating. The Swampert glanced over his shoulder at the small pokemon before finally getting to his feet, his stomach jiggling as he stood. "What've we got here? Did you get lost, little fox?" he grinned widely as he stomped over to him, "Looking for your mommy?"

"N-nope, I'm right where I want to be." Miles replied with a blush as he looked up at the pokemon before him. He did his best to hide his true reasons for being there, but now that the predator's gut was growling in his face he found it hard to keep himself together. "I, um... challenge you to a battle... Mr Typh..."

"Yeah, sure you do, kid. We both know what you're really doing here." Typh grinned down at him as he picked the Fennekin up by the tail and dangled him over his mouth, "You came to see if the rumours were true. Well, they are. I make a living off eating pokemon, and unfortunately for you I've got a particular fondness for bite-sized fire foxes."

"I guess that explains the barbecue trap.. and the hot-sauce trap." The Fennekin blushed, having stepped on that one on purpose on his way through the water dojo. He felt his heart pounding excitedly in his chest as he anticipated what would come next, though it seemed the Swampert was happy to just hold him there for now. "S-so, um... are you going to..."

"Well, since you're being such a little prey about it," Typh grinned before cramming Miles into his maw before he got a chance to argue. The Fennekin yipped and pushed at the fleshy walls around him as the tongue rolled him about with ease, washing off the sauces with his drool before pulling him into one of his cheeks so he could talk, "Mmmh, not bad. You're kind of small though, bet I can swallow you in one gulp."

"B-bet you can't," Miles goaded him, panting and murring from excitement as his fluffy tail wagged about, spreading his flavour wherever it touched. It didn't take long for him to find out the truth as the Swampert sucked him back into the center of his mouth and tilted his head back, taking a huge gulp to drag the Fennekin entirely into his throat before murring as he felt the small fox slipping down it and into his spacious stomach.

"Heh, told ya." Typh replied with a little belch before glancing over at the door as he saw it starting to creak open. He dove off the edge of the platform and back into the water, defying his doctor's suggestions that he should always wait an hour after eating before swimming.

"He's not in here either." Devsy noted as he stepped in and looked around briefly, noticing how empty the large, circular room was. "Neither is the boss though. Weird, do you think he's on his lunch break?"

"Given that every adventurer who comes into this place ends up a meal, I don't think they really need a lunch break." Ebony shuddered as he shook the last of the sauce off his fur, even with the mess off of him he could still smell it. He glanced about the empty room once more to confirm Devsy's claims and then turned to Blaine, "Still, it doesn't look like he's here. Maybe we should go before he gets back?"

"No way, this is perfect. We can figure out our tactics and get the drop on him when he shows up." The Riolu grinned excitedly, taking the leadership position once again as he stepped towards the centre of the floating platform. He began to test each floor tile with his foot, finding some bobbing gently as they sank under his weight. "I think some of these floor tiles are still trapped, so be careful."

"Well, so long as he isn't here maybe I could take the time to get myself cleaned up." Devsy announced, beginning to strip off his labcoat and skirt, as well as the blue underwear beneath it. He finally took off his bracelet before slipping into the water at the edge of the platform, using one hand on it to keep himself up, "Erf, cold... refreshing though."

"I wouldn't mind getting cleaned up myself, actually." Ebony thought out loud as he walked across the platform towards the Weavile. He began to take off his collar and wag his tail to get the purple scarf tied to it free, only to see Devsy's expression change suddenly. "Huh? What's wrong?"

"The water suddenly got a lot warmer, I think..." The Weavile didn't finish his sentence as he looked down at his feet, wriggling them a little only to find them bound together by whatever warm, fleshy thing had them. As he saw the bubbles beginning to rise beneath him he grinned awkwardly over at Ebony, "Hey, could you kick over my bracelet real quick?"

"What? Why?" Ebony asked, becoming increasingly nervous despite Devsy's attempts at remaining calm, "What's going on?"

Ggllrk~ the water began to sway more rapidly around the Weavile as he grabbed onto the edge of the platform with both hands and tried to pull himself up, though the weight of the predator beneath him was too much, especially now that it was past his waist and quickly moving up towards his arms, "Just give it to me, alright? I need it for testing!"

"R-right!" Ebony yiped, quickly grabbing the bracelet in his mouth and tossing it over. The Weavile caught it and breathed out a sigh of relief... shortly before two, bulky blue hands came over his face and forced him under the water. The Umbreon gasped and quickly ran over to the edge, just in time to see the bulky shadow retreating as belch-scented bubbles came back up, "Devsy!"

"Ebony, what's going on? What happened to Devsy?" Blaine gasped as he ran back to the Umbreon's side, noticing the Weavile's clothes were still piled up neatly by the edge of the platform. Ebony's eyes widened in terror as he noticed the floor tile infront of Blaine shifting, revealing the water underneath.

"Wait, don't come any closer!" The Umbreon yelped in a panic, charging over to his friend only to find a floor tile giving way under his paw and sending him down into the dark waters below him.

It took him a moment to realize he had fallen and that he was rapidly sinking, and he began to kick about in the water trying to find the right way back up. He could hear the water shifting around him, the sound echoed through his mind as he saw the shadow circling him like a shark.

He tried to keep an eye on it as he held his breath, his eyes fixed on the light of the hole he had fallen through as he tried to swim back up towards it. He lost sight of the shadow in favour of keeping his eyes on his goal, he could feel his lungs about to give out as his paws cut through the water. He was still a few feet below the surface and he could feel what air he had in his body filling his muzzle, causing his cheeks to puff out as he tried to keep the air from escaping his mouth.

He felt something against his back leg, a wide, wet tongue dragging itself across his footpaws before rapidly moving up to engulf his tail and his back legs. Through the water he could hear the dull sound of the Swampert swallowing him. His head and forepaws burst through the water and he took a deep breath, almost forgetting his situation entirely. After a few short breathes he collapsed... only to freeze in fright as he felt the tongue wiggling beneath him.

Blaine stared up at his Umbreon companion, now halfway into the Swampert's mouth as his backlegs and rear formed a bulge in the predators thick throat. As he glanced down at his glistening wet belly he could see the distinct bulges of his two other teammates, pushing at the walls and yelling at eachother to give them more room.

The Swampert grinned down at him, ruffling his hair playfully as he lowered his head enough for the Riolu and the Umbreon to get one final look at eachother before his tongue pushed Ebony into the back of his throat. He tilted his head back and gulped loudly, sending the squirming bulge of the Umbreon to the pit of his stomach before performing a little flip and disappearing back under the water.

"H-hey! You can't just do that and swim away!" Blaine growled, leaning over the hole and glaring into it, punching at the water with his fist. "Come back here and fight me, damn it! If you want a meal, why don't you go for something that might actually fight back?!"

It didn't take long for the Swampert to respond to the challenge. The floor tile behind the Riolu burst open in a jet of water and Typh poked his head out of the hole it had left behind. He placed his two mighty hands on the floating platform and forced it downward, shifting the arena so Blaine would slide towards him.

Blaine grabbed at the platform but found his hands sliding against it, the Swampert's last attack had left the platform slippery and wet. He turned to face the water type, staring down into his hungry maw as his feet began to slip into it. He brought his hands back, knowing he only had one shot at hitting the water type. His hands began to glow brightly, "Aura Sph-"

The Swampert's tongue assaulted the pokemon's sensitive pawpads, leaving him in a fit of giggles and his energy quickly dispersing. The Riolu panted and gasped between laughs, his hands sparking as he tried to focus on creating an Aura Sphere through the tickling, "Hahahaha! N-no hahahaa! St-stop it hahahahaha!"

Typh just grinned at his helpless prey as he tilted his head back, allowing gravity to pull Blaine's legs and tail into his deep throat. His tongue shifted its attention to his armpits, continuing to tickle him between slobbering over his face and chest to ensure he got a chance to taste the Riolu.

"Aura Sphe-ehehehe, Aura Sp-ahahaha! A-ahaha!" Blaine tried and tried again, but it was no use. He watched as the Swampert's jaws closed around him, cutting off the light from the dojo and leaving him in the dark, wet maw. As he was brought completely into the predator's mouth he found himself with a chance to breath. He could smell the scent of his teammates as he looked around the inside of the Swampert's maw, as he saw a purple scarf sticking out from between two of the Swampert's teeth he quickly grabbed it, knowing the Umbreon would probably want it back.

Typh drooled over his meal for a while longer, just rolling him about in his mouth to take in his chocolately taste, mixed with the barbecue sauce from the trap. He almost wondered if he should have set up traps with sweeter flavours, but that would just be something to request the next time his paycheck came in. He pulled himself onto the platform and laid on his back, taking one last heavy gulp to send the Riolu to meet the rest of his team, "Mmmph. Nice try, guys. Keep an eye out for traps next time, alright?"

"Yes, sir." Ebony replied like a child being scolded, tucking his ears back as he rested against the stomach wall. He could see from the way the other two were acting he wasn't in any real danger, though he still felt a little humiliated being devoured infront of his friend. As the Riolu slipped in to join them he chuckled awkwardly, "Sorry Blaine, I guess I should've been more careful."

"It's fine, I probably should have been too." Blaine replied as he glanced around at the others. The stomach was just large enough for them to all sit down in it comfortably, though Blaine and Devsy both had to hug their legs to their chest. "I have some Reviver seeds if anyone needs them."

"No thanks, I'm going to be a test subject for Devsy's tonic." Miles replied, looking quite happy about his situation as he leaned against the Weavile and grinned up at him, his tail wagging excitedly, "I can't believe it. The rumours were true, he ate us whole!" he murred, rubbing his side against the stomach wall before rubbing its soft, fleshy surface with his paw, "Heh, there's a lot of room in here. I bet we're probably a light snack for this guy. I don't think we've even filled him up~"

"I think four small pokemon is probably a filling meal, even for a predator like this Swampert." the Weavile replied with a light blush, trying to maintain some of his dignity as he looked down at his bracelet, "Shame my bracelet isn't responding, I wanted to see how he'd react to a punishment pill."

"Maybe next time?" Blaine suggested with a nervous smile, his tail flicking against the stomach wall as he ran a paw along it. His eyes finally turned to Ebony as he held out the scarf to him, "I think this got caught on your way down."

"Oh, thanks Blaine. I was wondering what had happened to that." The Umbreon grinned as he went to take it, only for it to fly out of the Riolu's hand and back up the Swampert's throat, along with everything else they had found on their expedition.

Typh belched loudly as the items came flying back out of his mouth, and he grinned as he sorted through them curiously. "Wow, you guys got quite a haul. Too bad you don't get to keep any of it." he grinned as he patted his stomach, "Well, I might let you take back half of it... on one condition."

"Wh-what's that?" Miles gasped, looking up as he heard the predator's voice, despite being dulled by the stomach wall the water-type was still loud enough for them to all hear him clearly.

"Squirm." Typh grinned, giving his stomach a slap to get them going. He rolled onto his back, murring as he felt the pokemon inside him starting to rub his stomach walls and push against them, "Mmm, good. Make sure to digest fast, alright? I wouldn't want to still be full when the next bunch come along."

"Speaking of," Typh raised a hand as he remembered before cupping the hand over his mouth to yell, "HEY! Make sure all those traps are set up. I'm expecting two hot sauces, one barbecue sauce and a chocolate!" he paused, "...actually, make it two chocolates. I've got a craving." he smirked, rubbing into his gut and pushing it down to limit the amount of space the pokemon inside it had before letting out one final belch to steal the last of their air.
