Vol2 Ch5 Trouble
Zarvaun the sergal walked a bit too casually through the long well lit hallway, eventually approaching a 4 way intersection, where he heard faint screams of pain off to the left, so naturally, he turned in that direction. Unfortunately, the screams he heard were from the fox, Jade, who was still secured tightly to the lab wall, behind the thick glass."Jade!" Zar screamed, drawing the attention of the scientists, guards, and the general himself. Zarv ran at the group, just as one of the guards pulled a tazer pistol (apparently the only thing these guys carried) out of his holster, shooting the sergal in the lower leg. This only barely slowed Zar's movements, as the projectile and wire were quickly dissipated by the power Zar had."I'll kill you! All of you!" He snapped, thinking only of the rage and anger filling up inside of him. He pushed out his right paw, and thought of the first weapon to come to mind, which for him, was a long sharper-than-razor-sharp katana, and in his other paw materialized a small tanto blade of the same deadly sharpness.The two blades weren't didn't materialize made of metal though. As if the anger welling up inside of the sergal caused his power to become stronger, the hilts were made of a very solid pure black metal, wrapped nicely in some form of gripping cord, as rest of the blade looked to be pure darkness, like a shadowy blur. The room seemed to darken around him as well."Don't just stand there, kill the damned thing you useless sacks of-" The general barked at his men, quickly pulling out his own very real pistol, and firing a few shots at the sergal. The rest of the guards fired what they could, but all of the metal objects flung at the sergal flashed into soot, and disappeared before they could hit their mark. Zarv almost flashed in front of the two guards nearest to him, running his katana through the guards heavy rifle, cutting it almost completely in two, before getting caught in the metal rifle itself. The sergal sent a pulse of dark energy through his katana, and as it connected to the rifle, it turned the rifle to shrapnel, and exploded, causing three guards to fall to the ground dead, and injuring one of the scientists.Zarv launched himself, Tanto first at the general, but before the blade made contact, the canine stepped aside, and pulled out some form of plastic syringe, forcing it into the sergal's shoulder. Almost instantly, Zarv's weapons dissipated, and he fell to the ground, almost paralyzed. He tried to force the darkness to consume the plastic syringe, finding that metal objects are much more susceptible to the power than plastics. By the time the syringe dissipated, whatever liquid that was inside of it was already coursing through his body."We specifically designed that virus, you know. Cost us a lot of time and money." The general
spoke to the sergal, while passively ordering the rest of his guards to tend to the wounded. "It's a shame to have to use a full dose on you, but you're obviously the one who stole our little project, so I'll let it pass." He said, again barking an order to the remaining guards. "Toss him in with the fox!""Sir, that might not be wise. With two viable hosts, the Chaos Paradigm might become unstable, or collapse!" The smaller scientists spoke up again, holding a gash on his arm."Ugh, what do I hire you pathetic imbeciles for. The Chaos will simply destroy any other viable host in its path to assert its dominance over the more powerful host. I shouldn't have to explain this to you idiots!" The general barked, as his guards carried Zarv off to the chamber door. The general hit the large red button, and with a loud alarm, the chamber door opened. The guards tossed the sergal inside, and the door quickly sealed shut again, with Zarv unable to move.The darkness had now spread its way forcefully through Jade's body, that it began changing his form, but instead of a full change, his fur darkened in pulses, and quickly became white again. Jade was fighting back, but it really was no use. At seemingly the final stage of the change, all of the black go was sucked into the foxes body, causing excruciating pain, before completely taking over the foxes body. The fox still looked the same as he had before, however which gave Zarvaun some hope. The sergal was just barely breaking out of the stasis the drug put him in, which gave him back the ability to stand on his own.The cuffs holding Jade to the wall were almost instantly vaporized, and the fox fell to the ground, landing effortlessly on his feet."Jade?" Zarvaun questioned, staring at the fox."Jade is no longer here." The fox spoke back, the voice seeming to come from a hundred different places, all at the same time. One of which, seemed to be Zarv's very thoughts.
