"Mountain of the Yeti"
2nd story I wrote. Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon, just the story that's all.
Keith is a normal type of guy, being 13 years old and all. Being the only person in a town that somehow was abandoned by everyone in it had it's advantages. The young boy can do what he please, like some Huckleberry Finn, whenever he wants. He pretty much even goes barefoot while wearing a long sleeve shirt and pants, 'cause he believes it gives him more freedom. The white haired, orange eyed boy also, since he was a little kid, believed in legends like Bigfoot, Abominable Snowman, etc., etc. and still hasn't gotten over it. In a little while he'll find his situation a tiny bit unusual.
The reason the town was abandoned was because of an evacuation order. It was going smoothly until a freaky snowstorm rolled in. Out of all the 250 residents, only Keith survived. How he lived was that he slept in at home and his parents didn't have time to find him. They and the other 247 people died in a rather gruesome pileup in the storm. By the time he woke up, everyone just up and vanished.
One day as he walks around town, he sees an icicle that for some reason doesn't melt like the others. Entranced he walks toward it, his feet leaving tracks in the snow. Picking it out of the side of the building, he looks at it admiringly. It feels like it calls him, telling the kid to do certain things.
For some reason, he uses the icicle to carve swirls on the heels of his feet, which somehow become permanent instantly. After that, Keith looks up at the mountain looking over the town, in a trancelike state. He then walks to it, obeying the icicle in his hand. As he walks to the end of town, Keith doesn't even notice his white shirt and pants turning into fur strangely. It covers his body, except his hands, feet, and, for now, his head before it transformed into something resembling a yeti-type creature. The fur then goes to the head, covering it completely. His ears then go to the top of his head, becoming rounded. Reaching the town border with the mountain, he opens his mouth while sharp teeth grow inside.
Continuing with his tread to the mountain, Keith's body becomes roundish with every step. Upon reaching a cave at the mountain peak, the boy has become something resembling a yeti. Having watched cartoons, he transformed into Mojyamon, from one of his favorite shows called Digimon. All that was left was the mind, which was reprogramming with thoughts that fit his new body. Upon the transformation being complete, the former human boy now becomes more carefree and doesn't care about his old life.
