#1 of A Dream come True

Have you ever had this feeling?

You're living your everyday's life. Day for day. You see people. Everyday's people.

But when they see you, when they look at you, you feel like you don't belong there. That you are a stranger under strangers.

Have you ever had this dream?

A mysterious being, a creature you thought non-existent, suddenly appears and takes you from that strange place.

A creature you have been dreaming of, more than just one night. A creature you haven't only dreamt of at night.

A creature you wished to be true, no matter how ridiculous and useless it seemed.

Suddenly appearing in front of you.

Have you ever had this wish?

The wish for that creature to take you away, to far places. Away. Away from the strange place.

To the place you belong? To the place you will feel at home? To the place where you will find the joy in your life?

Be careful about your wishes, they might come true.

"...okay guys, gotta go. Stupid work, fucking shift until midnight." Alex gives me the same answer as always: "Have fun, Chris. See you tomorrow." Patrick remains silent as most of the time, saying only 'bye'. I click on the red box with the white X in the upper right corner of the Teamspeak window, disconnecting me from them. Both of them live somewhere in Germany, none of us ever met the other in person. We just randomly met on a game server, had similar interests, were about the same age, came along well... Nothing special.

Me? Oh right. My name is Chris as you might have suggested from the snippet of talking. Twenty-five years old, living in Germany, in a medium-sized town. Not big enough to be known around the world, but big enough for shops to be opened until midnight. I work as a cashier at a local supermarket, 10 minutes away with my bicycle. It was 19:30, so I had to get my ass up and moving. Putting on my shoes, my scarf and jacket. There, my earplugs. I plug them into my mobile, started my usual playlist of metal songs that somehow gave me the power to survive my boring life. I grab my keys from the small shelf near the door and leave my small apartment. Rushing down the stairs I hastily greet my neighbor, a nice old lady... nice, but talking too much for my taste.

Down in the basement I open the small room that belongs to my apartment. A large shelf to the left, a few moving boxes with stuff I don't really need but didn't want to throw away and a few tools. An old TV in its box in the back corner. My bike leaned at the shelf. A hybrid of city bike and mountain bike I got as a birthday present... don't exactly remember when... six or seven years ago I guess. I carry it up the small stairs, put on my gloves and the hood of my jacket and leave the house. Cold wind blows into my face and it is dark. But a job is a job, and I couldn't afford the rent without this job.

Another song starts. A song about a world of fantasy, a world filled with creatures only known in stories. A wonderful song that lets me forget about the cold, about the fact that I had to sit at work for the next four hours. While I drive the usual way to my work the song ends, a faster one starts, motivating me to speed up.

I arrive about fifteen minutes early, as usual, more than enough time to grab some breath and get the suit on. Grab some breath you might ask? I'm a bit chubby and not exactly into sports, but I drive 'quite fast' I'd say. Some days it's okay, some days I want to collapse at the supermarket, depends on mood, weather... all that stuff. I enter the supermarket; shake hands with the security man. "Recovered from your illness?" "Yeah. Nose is still dripping, but I can't sit at home and do nothing." I went over to my coworker. I greet her. "Hey" She smiles wide. "Heeyyyyy." "And, anything special?" It was my first day this week, so I wanted to know if there were any problems. The small net of lemons for 59 cents had to be entered by hand, otherwise nothing special.

I walk into the storage that also leads into the employees section. Old Bertha rummaged around, and then sees me. "Oh no, not you again." "Love you too, old hag." I respond to her. We have a weird kind of relationship. She is about sixty years old, but we are good friends, talking to each other in that manner for a long time, almost as long as I work at this place. "One day mister... one day I'll punch you." She promised this every single time to me, but never did it. Well, she also laughs about it just moments later. I continue into the locker room, hanging my jacket into the wardrobe, putting my private stuff into my locker, grabbing my name sign and a few pens. The shirt I wore last Saturday was still looking good and clean. I clip the name tag on it, stuff the pens into the left chest beg. When I leave the locker room I encounter Michael. Middle-aged, funny guy, married with a, in a nice way, crazy woman. He slaps me on my shoulders. "You here? Gotta work?" "Nah, just here to wear the suit." I laugh. "Of course work, why else would I come here? I know better things to have fun with." "You do?" He laughs.

I walk into the office to receive my cashbox. It was really unusual quiet in the market. One customer every few minutes, buying just small things. I start using my time at the register to daydream a little.

I am a fantasy author... well, not really an author... no. I just enjoy writing a small story that a tiny community on the internet enjoys, telling of two male dragons that fell in love, had some sex, then suddenly have to rescue the world. 'Dragons falling in love? Gay animal sex?' you might ask? Well, it all began when I was... phew... many years ago. I was in a sports club, playing badminton with a few friends once a week. I wasn't actually that bad. Well, then, one time, the brother of a friend told about a video he had seen recently, about a woman getting fucked by a horse. It was my first contact with beastiality. I never thought of that before. But I had to admit, silently, that it turned me on. I mean, everyone knows how 'big' a horse is. *insert dirty laughing here*

Later that day I tried to find that video, or at least a similar one, mostly to masturbate to. I never had a girlfriend, never was interested in having one. I also never wanted to have a family. Who cares if I die as a single? Right... Me neither. That's how I started my life as a zoo. Every few months I found a new page with new and hot videos, but they soon began to stop pleasing me. I watched some Russian sluts stuffing their hips with that beautiful piece of horse meat, faking their cum and stuff. It never felt like the horses were having any fun. Slowly I drifted off to women getting humped by dogs. I never liked those 'sexy chick licking dog cock' videos for the same reason: The animal didn't seem like enjoying it too much. Or horses fucking horses. That went on for a few years until a sudden realization hit me. I never really was interested in the pussy being stuffed with hot red flesh... no... My focus was on the tender meat that went in and out, the sticky cum all over, dripping from the cock. Not only was I a zoo... I also was gay. Not that I was scared of gays. Why should I?

One day I stumbled upon a page filled with drawings. Drawings of animals... animal-like beings introduced to me as furries or anthros. And I liked it. After many months it almost let me forget about my wish to suck a horse, a very unlikely wish as owning a horse was out of question.

Then one picture caught my attention. It was a dragon. An anthropomorphic western dragon, about to shove his dolphin-like cock into the ass of another, similar, dragon, who was already dripping precum in anticipation. Every time I thought about that picture I got hard. I wanted more, searched especially for dragon pictures, knowing that I would never find anything real. I found many pictures spread around the web, then a page, and another one. After and after I also began enjoying reading stories. Dragons, Foxes, Dogs, Horses... So many great stories out there that just wanted to be read, enjoyed, aiming to wake feelings and shed cum.

Finally midnight. The last customer left the shop. A six-pack of beer, a bottle of vodka and a bag of cheap chips. Old Bertha locked the door. "Still not done? We could be home by now!" she joked. I grabbed my cashbox and walked back into the office where the money was weighted. Minus 8 cents difference, meaning that I somehow gave 8 cents exchange more than I should have done. Happens everyone, each time. A zero was rare and no one cared for those few cents. Back in the locker room I hung my shirt back onto the wardrobe, put on my private clothing. I start the playlist and plug in the left earplug. Bertha and I wish each other a good night after she locked the shop, engaging the alarm. I swing my ass back into the saddle.

One of my readers recently asked me if I knew a real dragon... Probably because he liked the details I gave in various situations in my story, not knowing how much that hurt inside. I have been dreaming a lot about dragons. That was one of my reasons to start this story. That question depressed me a little, never being able to meet such a majestic being.

I carry my bike back down into the basement and lock the basement room. I stumble on my way back into the second story of the house where my apartment was located. Caught myself, then walked a little more carefully. After I closed my door I throw my jacket on the floor, shoes right after, collapsing on my armchair in front of the computer. I boot up from sleep-mode and visit my usual pages. No new interesting dragon pictures, no new anime, no new gags or chat quotes. Well, maybe a few more responses on my story? Nah, just a 'bump' to keep it up. I might write a little, adding a few lines... maybe even a chapter or two. I open the folder, double-click the word-document. The pages are loading... Eighty... hundred-twenty... ... two-hundred and four. Wow. Half a year of work, and its still far from done.

I open my music-folder, double-click a random file, then add a few dozen songs to the playlist. Metal, folk-rock, pagan, medieval... helps me to relax. I can already hear the beginning of the song from my headphones. I reach for them, when a crashing noise outside catches my attention. The ringing of the tram driving at the main street nearby drives me crazy so I hurry and put on my headphones. Probably just a stupid and drunk car driver that crashed into the tram. Nothing I could do, nothing I wanted to see... nothing I cared about. The floor quaked. There was also a train line nearby, and you could feel when a train passes through, but this was different... stronger. A light made the darkness outside disappear. Had the car exploded? I put the headphones away. A roaring noise outside. This was no explosion, was it? Oh come on Chris, your fantasy is just trying to trick you, maybe you should sleep instead of writing.

Another roaring noise. No, this is real. Stomping, quaking, honking, again roaring. I tried to spot something from my window, but I couldn't see anything special. Another roar, screaming people. Don't understand me wrong. I'm not some kind of hero, and I am quite lazy. If I can, I avoid any unnecessary movement. You know that episode of the Simpsons where Homer impressed Mr. Burns by kicking the table until the pot of pies was close enough to be grabbed, instead of simply standing up? That's me! But there was something mysterious attracting me. I couldn't explain it, and I was sure it was the most stupid thing one could do... Maybe even deadly... but something picked my interest. I put on my shoes and jacket. I wouldn't be out for long so I didn't care for my scarf or gloves. One of my neighbors ran past me, hasting into his apartment, slamming the door shut. I increased my speed. I left the house, headed for the main street. A tram stood on the middle of the street... It was derailed and empty, the overhead contact line had dropped on the street. The street lights were off. Noone around. Stomping noises behind the corner, snorting. Now I was sure... I had fallen asleep in front of my computer. A lucid dream, nothing more. But I wanted to enjoy it even more, now that I knew it was just a dream. I walked around the corner and stared in awe. Giant emerald-like eyes stared at me from an even bigger red scaled head. My heart stopped for a moment as I got the full image of the dragon in front of me. About six meters tall, probably around twenty-five meters from nose to the slightly arrowhead-shaped tip of the tail. The giant wings were folded onto its back and sides.

"If only this wouldn't be a dream..." I whisper, feeling a tear coming loose from my eyes. A snort of hot air blows into my face. The giant head comes closer. Was this dream going to end so soon? Just when I met this dragon? I feel my whole body getting colder. Just half a meter separated me from the nostrils. They were easily big enough for me to put my hands into. A draft. Sniffing sounds. Then his muzzle opens, revealing hundreds of sharp teeth. "I don't want this dream to end yet." I whisper to myself, stumbling backwards in fear. But its head follows me. I give up my hopes for this perfect dream to last any longer and close my eyes.

A hot pressure against my chest, crawling upwards until it hits my face. A slimy wet feeling crawls over my face. A series of stomping noises, a second lick, then more sniffing. I wipe the slobber from my eyes, open them. This giant creature stood right in front of me, wagging its tail, panting with its tongue lolling out of its muzzle. For a moment everything I could see was a dog... a six meter tall, red-scaled dog that wanted to be my... friend? But where did this dragon come from? Ack. I had forgotten, this is just a dream. I go towards the dragon. It watches every single step I make curiously. When I am close enough, I slowly stretch out my hand, stroke over the big muzzle, which the dragon greets with more tail-wagging. I feel like a small child that is about to turn around and ask its mother 'Mom, can we keep him?'

The scales feel smooth and soft... I had imagined them to be hard like steel. Tears started running down my face. This is my perfect dream. No dream will ever even come close to this in my whole life, and I knew it would break my heart when I wake up, sleeping in front of my computer, my neck hurting from the uncomfortable pose I must be lying in. I would be crying for the fact that I had woken up from this dream I never wanted to end. I think I wouldn't even care if I would die right now, being stuck in this dream for all eternity. The dragon tilts its head and pushes me towards its flank. I take it as a sign for 'scratch me there, that will feel nice, too' and start rubbing its thick scaled skin. I see it closing its eyes and lifting the head as it enjoys the scratching. I place my head on its side and listen to the heartbeat. It sounds different than that of humans or the pets I had in the past. Instead of bo-bomm it is more like BO-BO-BOMM, almost as if there were two hearts beating. But what wondered me even more was the soft feeling of the dragons skin. I really would have imagined that it would be hard and cold. But this dragon has a really soft skin and emitted enough warmth to almost make me sweat in my jacket.

Something seems to bother it as it starts to lift its head and look around nervously. Is there someone coming? I can't hear anyth- there... sirens? The police? I laugh. What are they supposed to do when there is a giant dragon in front of them? I stop laughing the moment I realize that they might shoot. Even if it wouldn't kill the dragon, maybe he would go on a rampage, destroying anything around, accidentally killing me. The sirens come closer. Blinking blue light flashes through the darkness. I leave my comfortable position and make sure to have its attention, although I wasn't sure if it would understand me. "We have to disappear. I don't want them to kill you." The dragon seemingly did not understand me. It lifted its head and unfolded its wings. Now I can see the police cars. But that's not a normal police car. That's... a black transporter... three... four of them, coming closer and breaking about fifty meters in front of us.

The doors open, about a dozen seemingly heavy armed guys get out of each of those transporters. One of them holds a bullhorn and talks to me. "Boy, you are in grave danger. Face that thing and then walk slowly backwards in our direction. Do not run or it will kill you." What? If that dragon wanted to kill me, there had been enough chances to do so. All it wanted were a few scratches, and maybe a little company. "DON'T SHOOT. IT'S NOT THREATENING ME. IT'S FRIENDLY!" I shout. The dragon flashes its teeth, spreads its wings further, thus not really supporting my claim. Nevertheless I was quite impressed. I could only see one wing, but his wing-spantingd contact line had to be around fifty meters. The skin between its wings had become slightly transparent. Here and there I could see its veins throbbing.

"I repeat it boy. This is a dangerous monster. Come to us and we will protect you." That police... soldier-guy repeated his warnings. As if the dragon could understand what he said, it added a gnarling sound to its already threatening pose. Small puffs of smoke left its nostrils. Then he stood up, raising his body so that he was now about eight meters tall. I catch myself looking at him a little closer, detecting two big bulges somewhere between the hind legs. Some of the scales just in front of them also looked a little different... smaller... even softer. Fantasy went through with me for a moment - what kind of 'monster' would hide in there? *More space for dirty laughter*

A stomp right next to me brought me back to reality... dream... whatever. The dragon had stepped forward, placing its left front leg between me and those policemen. "KID! THIS IS MY LAST WARNING!" the guy shouts. "Go away from that creature or you will die!" "Not by teeth." A disembodied, deep growling voice echoed through the empty street. "But by bullets." Is that... his voice? Was he talking? To me? Or was that my imagination? Whatever it was, I couldn't let them harm him. I stepped in front of the dragon, stretched my arms as far as possible to protect as much as I could, although it wasn't that much at all, maybe half his leg. "This is my dream, and no one is going to ruin it, are we clear, suckers?" I shout. Whispering went through those guys before the one with the bullhorn answered me. "Kiddo, this is no dream. I repeat it. This monster you try to protect is real, and it is dangerous. Go away now before that monster decides to eat you." Screw you guys. This is a fucking dragon, so this is a fucking dream. MY fucking dream. And in my dream neither me nor my friends will get shot. I show them the finger. "Fuck you guys." I scream.

A sudden push on my shoulder catapulted me backward. A ringing noise in my head, accompanied by deep growling. The moon suddenly gets covered when the dragon protects me with his wing. A sudden light accompanied by a roaring noise rips through the night when the dragon burns half of those guys into coal. Gunfire, stomping. The dragon storms towards the police cars.

I can't move my left arm, so I check my shoulder with my right hand. My shoulder seems okay, so I feel the area around. More to the center I feel something wet. Without light I can't tell if it is just slobber, or blood. To ensure that I was not wounded I gave it a try. I mean... either it's slobber and in worst case I might get sick or simply throw up, or it's blood and I'm going to die, right? I don't want to die, even if it is just a dream. I licked the liquid off my hand. A metallic taste that reminded me of nose bleeding. But.... I don't know how dragon slobber tastes like, right? It might taste the same, right? Dragons eat raw meat, probably drink blood, right? Right? RIGHT?

With each beat of my heart I feel weaker, the moon fades more. What if this was real? What if this was no dream? I don't want to die, especially not now. Now that I know there are real dragons... I want to live.

Please... let me... live...

...just... a little...

...longer...
