#20 of Willing Student

Dal makes it through his recording session. Rick has a bad experience, but Dal and Rick make up for it at the end. Warning, the sex scene here is a little rough. Not hard-core but still - just thought I'd mention it.

Ch.20

Dalten sat in the studio room he'd been ushered into. This was the day of his voice over. The room was spare, a huge video screen hung on the wall in front of him, the logo of the recording company stood out in contrast against the black. Two large soft chairs sat in the middle of the room, a microphone hung down in front.

"Now, Mr. Taylor have a seat. We have a member of the orchestra here to give his reaction to your words as well." Dal sat in the soft leather char, glancing behind at the Collie female who had ushered him in.

"I believe he's one of the ones that rushed to your side first, um, Mike, the bassoonist?"

Dal remembered the timid small rabbit and smiled. The young fur was a very talented musician. He was eager to hear what the youngster would say.

Huh...youngster indeed. We're probably the same age. Heck he might even be older than me. There I go making judgements again.

Dal nodded silently. Rick had gone out with the other equine to possibly look for an apartment. The time they had spent so far here was nice. The area was friendly. They hadn't had anything go wrong, so far. Dal heard that Ken was nearing the end of his training soon. Probably about the same time he'd be finishing up with the London Symphony. He shook his mane at that. To think he'd be conducting the LSO!

The door to the recording room opened, and Mike came in. He was short, maybe five foot two or so and pure white. His brown eyes contrasted against his cheek fur. "Um, Hi, uh, sir." The poor thing ducked it's head.

Dalten chuckled. "Oh God. Don't call me sir, I'll feel like my old man! I'm just Dalten, or Dal, whichever you prefer."

The rabbit looked up, his nose twitched a few times. Mike smiled then took the other seat. The Collie busied herself setting up the microphones to the right height. Dal noticed water bottles stood ready for the two of them. He helped himself to one making certain he was hydrated.

"Gentlemen, here, put these on." The collie, Jenna, handed them headphones. "This will give you an idea of what the sound is like. We're going to do some sound tests first. Here's some lines to read."

The magic that is the preparation for audio recording went on. Dal had been through this in his undergraduate days. He had even volunteered at the universities radio station as an announcer. The manager almost convinced him he had a voice made for radio. Dal had been flattered but continued on in his musicianship.

Finally satisfied she closed the door and headed into the main recording studio while Dal and Mike sat in silence for a minute.

"Ok Mr. Taylor. We're going to be starting in a minute. Just speak naturally into the microphone. Remember, we're doing your bios during the opening credits. Don't forget to mention Rick."

Dal rolled his eyes. He gave the short bio he'd written. It outlined his growing up on a farm, his studying in college, his being selected for this commission, and meeting Rick. Mike gave his own bio, about growing up in the capital, going to high school, being teased for being a musician, winning a scholarship, and eventually getting a position with the symphony.

Dall watched as he himself walked out on screen. He hadn't seen this part. He leaned forward and spoke into the microphone.

"This is actually the first time I've ever seen this. The past several days before this moment I'd spent almost entirely with either Rick, or with the orchestra perfecting the third movement. I know I was upset at what had happened to Rick. When I get upset I always turn inward and focus on music. I hadn't really planned on making a big political scene, I just wanted to honor Rick."

Dal started as Mike spoke up.

"We had seen Dalten collapse the moment Rick was attacked. We had known something was wrong for several moments before Dalten collapsed. He looked like he was having an anxiety attack. Then all of a sudden he went over. Me and Ben were the first to his side trying to get him awake. We'd called the ambulance and they were there in seconds. They must have been close. It was wrenching to watch.

Dal's mind worked. So that's what happened. I was curious as to how I got to the hospital. I didn't remember much.

"Mike, I had no idea. Once my chest burned I sort of blacked out. I didn't remember much until I woke at the hospital."

The two spoke during the two or so hours with short breaks in between. Dal spoke mostly of his music and how he'd composed the first movement, and the choral second movement. Mike spoke about how certain sections were either easy or hard, or added a few comments on his own interpretation on the choral movements. A few moments after the movement ended the screen went black.

"Ok guys, take a five minute break. Dal, I know this isn't going to be easy."

It wasn't.

**

Rick looked around the 'Model Apartment' and listened as the apartment manager, Adam, droned on about location, parking, and schools. The young wolf screamed salesman. Roland leaned against the door looking bored. He wore a black suit and tie, and of course dark sunglasses. It was very amusing to the dalmatian. Roland looked so much like Dal it was scary, but the equine took his job very seriously.

Rick found the lupine's attitude demeaning. He'd shown rick one of the "studio" apartments first. Rick had asked to see a three bedroom model. The manager gave him a look as if he didn't believe he would be able to afford it. Rick ignored the look.

This is nice, but I don't know. Its also a bit low-rent even for the price. Rick was finding that apartments in this city came at a premium. He and Dal wanted to live well, but didn't want to go broke doing it. Sure they'd make money, but being frugal was being smart. We're going to have to be smart if we're ever going to get a love nest like Chas's one day...

"I don't know for sure Andrew, it's nice, what other properties does your company offer?" Rick asked. Andrew was droning on about some near the seaside, some near other promising school districts and such. The dalmatian took copious notes on a pad of paper.

"Um, do you mind if I use the restroom Rick?"

The dalmatian shook his head negative as he continued taking notes.

"It's just down the hall on your left sir" Andrew trilled. The door closed.

"Finally....."

Rick's head snapped up.

**

Dal's voice grew thick as he talked through the third movement. He watched his own frame conduct, sweat running down his back. He wondered how he had even made it through conducting it. He was worrying he wouldn't make it this time. He talked about Rick, the pain he felt on seeing him in the hospital, and how he had focused all of his energy and creativity on this one movement.

Every now and then he'd feel mike pat his hand. The bassoonist rabbit was giving him an encouraging and sympathetic smile.

Finally the music ended. It was odd watching himself on screen. He saw his own figure turn, sweat dripping down his chest and mane. He could barely hear the words "For you Rick" and saw the mark flare green.

"At this moment I learned that Rick and I shared our energies. He recovered almost fully from it. I.....I hope no one ever has to go through that again. I think, maybe in time other furs will learn from this. I hope they do. I hope they at least try."

"Me too." Mike stated. The video went black. "Good work Mr. Taylor, Mike.

**

Rick was shoved up against a door. The wolf, Andrew pinned him, a look of lust in his eyes. "You are just as cute as they say, I wonder if you're as sweet as well...."

The wolf forced his muzzle down on Rick's, his mind in a panic. Fear flooded him, then something snapped, he bit down, hard.

Andrew pulled off of Rick quickly spitting blood out his muzzle, swearing profusely. Rick didn't give him a second. His mark burned hotly. He hauled back his fist and swung once. The impact sent the wolf half way across the floor landing him in a heap. Rick growled and leaped, only to be restrained by Roland.

"Fuck! I knew I shouldn't have left.....Rick, Rick! It's ok, he's out!"

**

Dal stood making idle chit chat with Jenna and Mike, making plans to have dinner with Rick and Mike when something snapped across his bond. Fear! Anger! Rage! He stood shaking. He bared his thick equine teeth. He had a quick vision of a wolf shoving his muzzle into Rick. Jealousy surged down the bond back to Rick.

Rick....fuck! Rick! HIT HIM!

Dal's own fist swung hard into the wall punching through both layers of drywall. He was shuddering. Mike and Jenna were staring at the paw marks on his chest and back. Both were glowing a fierce crimson.

**

Dal made it to the apartment complex with Dwight in tow. Cop cars surrounded the place. One of the officers tried to stop him, Dal told him who he was and he was ushered over to the ambulance, fearing the worst.

Rick sat on the back of the ambulance drinking water with a shaking paw. He was talking to an officer. Dal heard their conversation as he stepped up.

"....so that's when you hit him?" Rick nodded at the human officer. "Yes. Then Roland held me back. I was in a bit of a rage and well, I wanted to take it out on him." The officer took this down too and sighed gustily.

"Well the good news is he'll live. The bad news is he's going to be in the hospital for quite some time. You broke his sternum and six of his ribs. He also cracked his skull when he landed on the tile floor. That's one heck of a punch you have."

The officer was eying the lightly red glowing horse-shoe mark. Dal winced. A bright light went off in his face.

Crap....the media?

**

Rick watched as the flash went off practically in Dal's face. He'd expected this really. The officer thanked him, gave him his card and left. Quickly Dal, Rick, and their two guards were being swamped by three news anchors.

"Anything you have to say?"

"What happened?"

"A statement?"

Rick was not angry, at least not at them. He raised his hand. That brought silence.

Hrm, learning from Dal are we? Well pup lets see if you're as glib as your mate....

"If you want to know what happened here, I suggest you contact Breezeline Properties for an official statement. As for what I have to say, well, I was attacked. Someone decided they'd try to take advantage of a situation. Lets just say, I handled the matter. No one but Dal gets to treat me that way, and even then he has to ask nicely. For further information please direct your questions to Mercy General."

Rick felt his tail wag lightly as he turned to leave. Dal rested a hand on his shoulder and chuckled. "Very nice."

**

Rick swore loudly, and lustily. As soon as they had returned to their room, he'd been pounced on by Dal. He didn't mind at all. The huge equine seemed determined to make him his. Rick was not complaining.....

The huge equine had torn Rick's jeans off and shoved him up against the wall. He'd muttered something about "no one taking HIS mate" before diving in for a crushing kiss. Rick had melted immediately, then felt his own rage and lust rising. Soon he felt what Dal was feeling. A need, a primal need to mate.

He'd been thrown roughly on the bed, but quickly turned onto his stomach, presenting himself to Dalten. Dal had snorted and roughly tore his shorts off, his thick equine cock drooling copious amounts of Pre.

"Damnit Dal! Hurry!"

Dal lunged forward driving his muzzle deep into Rick's tight ass. He could feel the thick equine tongue enter him easily, lapping at his insides. This only drove both of them wilder. He pushed back eagerly against Dal's muzzle, his own cock swollen hard. He could feel the ropes of precum coating his own belly underneath him.

Suddenly Dal pulled off of him. He heard an equine snarl behind him and felt Dal press his flaring cock head roughly into him.

Rick howled. "Fuck Dal! Deeper!" Rick heard Dal snort and stamp a hoof. He felt the flared head drive deeply into him, suddenly Dal's thick balls slapped into his own.

"I said Fuck me Dal! Mate me!"

Dal lunged forward forcefully. Rick raked his claws across the bed snarling and cursing his lover. The heat inside him was indescribable. It was like an itch he just couldn't scratch. He felt each thrust. He felt every ridge of Dal's cock, the huge flare, the medial ring, and the thick vein that ran on the one side.

Snarling, mentally and vocally, Rick took that feeling and plunged it into the link he had with Dal, shoving it at his mate forcibly.

**

Dal was in full rut when they got back. He''d been barely containing himself. Something drove him, a deep need, and it wasn't just coming from him.

Suddenly he felt something surge along the bond with Rick. He could feel his own cock deep inside of Rick as if he were Rick. He felt an incredible feeling of lust and heat, and a deep desire to be mated.

His hooves stamped again. If he wants it that badly, I'm glad to give it to him....

Dal gripped the dog's spotted hips. He lost all gentleness. He was treating Rick like a mare. His mare and mate.

**

Rick felt the emotion along the link, the assent, and then he felt all of Dal's mental barriers drop.

Wow!

Rick had unleashed the rutting stud. He only had that one second to realize this before Dal began to roughly plow into him. Every rake of that head drove more cum out of his own cock. Soon Rick was light headed and unseeing, and it was not a bad thing at all. His body quivered under the assault from Dal.

Thankfully Dal was quick in his rutting state. Rick felt the flare widen suddenly. Dal got harder than the canine had ever felt. Quickly Rick linked in with Dal and shared the feeling. It sent Dal over the edge. The two shared the orgasm. Rick found his own cock spraying under him as Dal unloaded load after load into him. The torrent seemed unending. The heat did not die down until the end. As soon as the orgasm stopped. The bottom dropped out of both of them. Dal fell forward, and to his side avoiding Rick just barely.

"Wow."

"Um, yes wow. And um, ow."

"Um....Rick?"

Rick chuckled. "Don't you EVEN start. That....was....awesome. I don't know what got into that thick horse head of yours, but you sure do know how to claim your mate don't you!"

"Heh...ah.....like I said...sor"

"I said don't dammit. That was perfect."

Rick wiggled around and planted a kiss on Dal's snout. The two chuckled.

Dal cocked his head to the side.

"Now....we need to figure out how to do that again....how....how did you project so clearly to me?"
