I reread my rough draft of this story, and decided that it needed a lot of work. Here it is. I'm not very good at writing Xd

Beep beep beep

"Oh god." Gideon said as his very loud, very annoying alarm clock went off, right next to his head. Apparently his sister had snuck in during the night and put it right next to his head, but he would get her later. He had to get ready for school.

He got up quickly, and realized his father wasn't awake yet. He walked down to the long hallway, tiled in granite, so it was cold beneath his feet. He turned the corner and knocked on his father's door, trying to wake him up without going in.

The last time he had done that, he had walked in on his dad while he was in the middle of getting dressed. A very awkward experience for him and his father. ‘I'll take a shower and if he isn't up by the end of it I will throw a water balloon at his head'. He knew that would do the trick but the punishment for it would be harsh.

It was the only way to wake him up without walking right up next to him, and again, that brought even more unpleasant experiences. Experience one: His bad gas. Experience two: He sleeps naked.

He brought himself back to reality once he got to the bathroom, he opened the door, shivering when the cold metallic handle touched his hands, and stepped in. He walked to the shower and turned it to the perfect temperature.

He got in, instantly realizing his mistake he screamed in pain. He had turned the water knob to far, so the water was scorching. He jumped out quickly and adjusted the temperature so he wouldn't burn his back.

Getting in again, cautiously this time, he slowly got used to the water and started scrubbing at his body with a wash cloth. Once he got done with his body, and his hair pretty much glistened, he got out and looked at himself in the mirror.

He was a 14-year-old 6'1" Blue Dragon. He wasn't as smart as most blue dragon's were, but he was still one of the best students in the school, and he was about as strong as a red, which was saying how much work he had put in.

He had jet black hair, and a very good body, a six pack that had been hard work to get, which wasn't very common among blue dragons, he wore tight shirts to show off his six pack, and got stares all the time. Done admiring himself, he toweled off and got dressed. He wore his usual white T-shirt and black jogging pants.

Gideon was on the tennis team at school. He had only played it one year, but he had practiced nearly 24/7 just to make the team, and then had worked doubly hard so he could be the best on the team. He had nearly succeeded but there was still one person left he couldn't beat, and that day would come.

He ran through his normal routine. He got dressed, he ate breakfast, then went to his room before remembering to wake up his father. He went to the kitchen, water balloon and tab to fill it in hand. He spread the end of the water balloon just enough to squeeze an ice cube in. He then turned the faucet on long enough for the water to get nearly ice cold on its own.

He filled the water balloon up and snickered at what his father would do. He decided he needed a nice run in the morning so he wrote a quick note saying that he was going to walk to school. He walked silently, like a cat, towards his father's door. He opened it and threw the water balloon as hard as he could at his father.

Hitting his father square in the face, the ice cube hitting it causing a little bit of pain, plus the snap of it popping next to his ear must hurt. He saw his dad sit up and took off out the door, grabbing his backpack and ID on his way out.

He ran as hard as he could for about ten minutes before he decided to stop and walk. He kept turning around, waiting for his dad to drive up to him and tell him he was in huge trouble, but surprisingly enough he got to school without seeing his father.

He got to school and groaned, remembering that they were switching to gym today instead of health. He had no problem with gym in particular, but he was first hour, so it was mandatory to take a shower after class, and he didn't really like being naked in public.

He walked to his locker and deposited his books into it, then turned and walked to Gym. He walked into the large gym, the size of three regulation basketball courts, and found the locker rooms, he walked into, got his locker assignment, and found his locker.

He quickly changed into his gym clothes and was sitting on the bleachers in the gym before anybody else even managed to get to the gym. He noticed a new kid standing outside the door looking lost.

He went out to offer help to the wolf. The wolf had pure white fur, it shined like snow and he nearly had to squint so as not to go blind, the wolf was only a few inches shorter, than he was, at least 5'8", he had stunningly blue eyes, that glistened in the light, just like his fur.

He was honestly the most beautiful creature Gideon had ever seen. "Hiya," Gideon said, sneaking up behind the wolf, "you lost?"

"Ya," the wolf said after getting over the initial shock of being frightened, "could you help me?"

"Ya, I could, that's sort of why I came over." Gideon responded. "Let me see your schedule." Gideon got the wolf's schedule, "Looks like you have every class with me," Gideon said, "I'll show you around today." Gideon said with a smile. "Can I ask your name?"

"You can," the wolf said, "my name is Raymond."

"OK, my name is Gideon." Gideon answered. "Here I'll introduce you to the teacher. He is kinda strict."

"Okay," Raymond said, "lets go, I guess." Raymond seemed kinda gloomy.

"What's the matter?" Gideon asked him.

"Nothing, I was just hoping to talk to somebody a bit more." Raymond told him. "I've never really had friends."

"Don't worry, neither have I." Gideon responded, and at the look of shock on Raymond's face he said, "People don't hang out with me because I probably show the most support for gays. So, I recommend if you don't like homosexuals not to hang out with me. I have punched people for calling anybody fags."

"Why do you hate people who pick on gays so much?" Raymond asked, getting curious now. "Why not just let them get beaten."

"Because, I'm gay." Gideon said straight out. He wasn't really afraid considering he had already openly come out, and no body would dare do anything, even the toughest of furs. Mostly because his tennis team didn't care and they were all close friends, so that gives him at least twelve dragons on his side, 4 Red, 3 black, and the rest yellow.

"Oh, ok." Raymond said, not really seeming to care at all.

"Do you have a problem with that?" Gideon asked, getting slightly more threatening.

"No I don't care. Some of my best friends were gay. The few friends that I had, anyways." Raymond responded.

"OK then," Gideon said, lightening up again, "then I guess we will introduce you to the teacher now."

Raymond followed Gideon, almost hesitantly, regretting not being able to talk more. Raymond had never really had anyone to talk to, even though he did have friends, he was never really open with them. It was more of, having friends would mean he wouldn't get his ass kicked every day of the school year.

"This is Mr. Scorbon." Gideon said, Mr. Scorbon was a 7'2" elephant. He used to play professional football, so the jocks think he is awesome. But he works all the teams that he doesn't believe are actually sports, tennis being one of them.

"Hello Mr. Scorbon, I'm Raymond, I just transferred into school." Raymond told Mr. Scoborn.

"Hello Raymond," Mr. Scorbon said, "do you play any sports?"

"Ya," Raymond answered, "I play tennis."

"Oh," Mr. Scoborn said with a hint of disapproval. He gave Raymond his locker number, and found him a pair of a gym clothes.

"Be careful today Raymond," Gideon said, "if you aren't used to doing a hundred push ups and running ten laps with a ½ mile to a lap you better get used to it. He does that to all tennis players."

"Why does he hate tennis so much?" Raymond asked.

"He used to play football, and he deems tennis a sport unworthy to be called a sport." Gideon said, "Don't worry though, half our class is on the tennis team, so you won't be the only one doing extra work."

"Are you on the tennis team?" Raymond asked.

"Ya," Gideon answered, "I practiced hard to get onto it too. Working out isn't that hard. I can manage it."

"I might have troubles with it, but I will get used to it eventually." Raymond said, "I can always do the work once I practice the exercises enough. Anyways, I think I should go change."

"Here, I'll show you what the general area of your locker is." Gideon said, showing him where the locker room was and where his locker was. "OK, well, might as well hurry. He'll give us hell, especially us since we play tennis, if we get out there late. Oh, and another hint, talking during the exercises will get you double. So don't talk."

They walked out into hell, he told them to get started immediatly and watched them do their hundred push ups. Then, they had to go outside, into the scorching weather, to do their 10 laps. Gideon sprinted and was completed in a few minutes but Raymond had to keep his pace, and was only on lap four when Gideon finished.

Gideon decided to run with him, figuring Raymond may get lonely after being the last one on the track.

"The good thing about our teacher is," Gideon started once they were done, "that he doesn't make us do any activities, so we can basically hide in the locker rooms until the end of class."

They were the only ones who didn't go out and play basketball. They occupied themselves by talking. "So," Raymond started to ask, "have you ever uh, had a uh..." he hesitated.

"A what?" Gideon asked

"A boyfriend." Raymond burst out.

"No, I haven't." Gideon said, "why do you ask?"

"Just wondering." Raymond said, looking embarrassed. Raymond knew that Gideon was gay also, but he wondered what would happen if it didn't turn out right. He decided to wait. They sat in silence until the bell rang.

They got undressed, grabbed a towel, and went into the shower room. This was the worst part about this class, Gideon thought to himself. He couldn't keep his eyes off of the other guys mid sections.

He was more than happy when he was finished with his shower. He quickly got dressed and hurried to his classes before remembering that Raymond didn't know his way around. He turned tail and rushed back, to find him waiting in front of the gym. "Sorry, I forgot you didn't know your way around." Gideon told him when he finally made it there.

"It's alright, I could tell you were in a hurry." Raymond said with a smile. "Lets just get this day done."

"Are you trying to get rid of me already?" Gideon asked him sarcastically.

"No, but I can't stand this school." Raymond answered.

"Understandable." Gideon said as they got to class.

So, after 6 and a half more hours of sleeping and showing Raymond where the classes are, the day ended. "Ok, well see ya tomorrow I guess." Raymond said at the end of the day.

"Ya, cya." Gideon said. Gideon wrote on a piece of a paper and gave it to Raymond. "Call me if you have bullying troubles or if you want to hang out. Or just talk." Gideon said with a smile and a wink.

Gideon started to walk home, once out of sight of the school, he ran home. Once he got home, after passing countless cars and nearly getting hit by a few, he collapsed on his bed and felt the cold, empty feeling in the middle of his heart.

He wished he had someone to hold, someone to love. He hated being alone like he was. He slowly drifted into sleep, his mind blanking out. The last thing he registered, was that he was thinking of Raymond.

*********** **************** ************ ********** ******** ******* ****** ****

Raymond watched until Gideon was out of sight. He sighed and called himself a coward over and over again in his head. He started walking home, the whole way thinking about how to tell Gideon that he thought he loved him.

He was thinking about it so hard he didn't see the car squeal towards him. He noticed just in time and managed to jump high enough to just roll over. He saw all the cars behind him stop just in time, that was the last thing he registered, that and the sound of an ambulance, before his mind fell into blackness.
