A little spur-of-the-moment drabble written from the self-aggrandizing point of view of a group of enigmatic birds with a God Complex.

We race through the sky and bring daylight to this sacred planet.
We are the thoughts of Gods made flesh ordered to put the mortals on the path of righteousness.
Hope fills the people when they see our feathered forms patrolling the heavens.
Only we know the difference between the innocent and the deviants.
We strike our enemies at supersonic speeds, we peck out their souls, and we feast. We care not for their pleas for mercy.
We are so much more than mortal birds..
We are entities of divine breeding.
Look upon us and be saved.
