"Getting to know you...."

Dal takes the lead this time, making his intentions known. Some romance and sex, oh and family drama.

Dal tugged at the white collared shirt he wore. He rarely wore dress clothing, but today he was going to try to surprise Rick. Rick had given him flowers, but Dal had other plans. It didn't help that his slacks were tight. Also the formal hoof coverings unbalanced him slightly. He smirked at himself and tried to keep calm.

If this goes right....well...Ken was right, I have to pay attention to Rick. Court him. Be a good man, not an ass.

Dal trudged down the dormitory hallway. At least he didn't have to stoop his head. This dorm (thankfully) was built for all types of people from the very rare human, to even the giraffe community. Finally he found Dal's room. Room 105. First floor.

Dal hesitated and took in a full lungful of air before knocking.

Rick opened the door. Shock plain on his face as he took the sight of an unannounced Dal in.

"Um....Dalten! Hi? Um, it's not time for lessons yet is it?

They had only arrived back to town from his parent's house late last night, and had parted with a sweet kiss. However, Dal was not one to let good advice go to waste.

"Um no." He rumbled deep in his chest.

"Rick? Who is it?" asked a female voice from beyond.

Dal froze.

Rick looked over his shoulder. It's Dal, you know, Dalten? The uh, one I told you about?"

A very pretty grey feline female stood behind Rick, with a very handsome Cheetah in tow.

Dal was a tad flustered.

**

Rick could read Dal better than the equine could read himself. "Dal, this is Seth, my straight roomate, and our friend Val, they were just LEAVIING, weren't you?"

Val stared at the huge equine....."um....yes, Seth, we were just leaving....come on...."

Seth chuckled as he made his way past the canine and equine. "Nice to meet you."

Val chuckled as they shot out of sight "I didn't know he was so BIG how do you...."

Dal cleared his throat. "Ah. I almost made an ass out of myself didn't I?"

Rick chuckled. "I could read your expression. You really need to work on how to read people. Um...come in."

**

Dal entered the tiny dorm room. Two twin beds, two end tables, and two computer desks made up the majority of the furnishings besides a few posters. It looked like this dorm room also had a single bathroom. Some would consider that a luxury. Dal gently sat on a bed. It groaned under his weight.

Rick closed the door, and padded over to Dal and kissed him on his muzzle lightly. "So, to what do I owe this honor?"

Dal laughed. "Class is canceled tonight. We are going out. You and I. That is, if you want to."

Rick smiled. "Of course! Let me get dressed."

Dal averted his eyes quickly as Rick shucked his jeans and t-shirt off and donned some more formal clothing. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy the sight, he just didn't want to get hard.

In no time at all Rick was ready, and the two exited the dormitory building. Outside was a single horse and carriage with a fox driver, dressed smartly with a top hat, which he doffed, springing down to open the carriage door.

"Um....Dal, you didn't have....."

Dal chuckled. "Well yes I did. A city bus is not romantic, and I'm not about to walk all the way to the restaurant. Not only is this romantic, it's practical."

Dal hefted his form into the seat, Rick settling next to him.

"Driver?"

The coach left.

**

As the driver meandered through town Rick and Dal exchanged pleasantries about the day. How class had gone, how Dal's composition was coming (about half finished), and small talk about the sights they saw on their ride, as they held hands. Finally the driver halted the carriage, and Rick saw their destination.

**

"Dal, you can't be serious!" Rick eyedthe sign again. He'd heard of this place. It was not cheap.

Dal shrugged. "You saw my apartment. I don't spend much on myself, allow me to spend a little on you, just to show you how much I appreciate you."

Rick stepped down from the coach, a footman appearing from the front doors of the restaurant. "Dine" was notorious. Not only for it's fine cuisine, expensive prices, and cool and collected atmosphere, but also because it catered to carnivores.

Dalten lumbered down, and gave the footman a tip, asking the coach driver to wait through dinner handing him some more bills. Rick was having a hard time with this.

This is costing him a fortune. I can't possibly let him pay for everything, but there is no way I can afford even an appetizer!

"Dal...really shouldn't we..." he began. Dal kissed him. Right there. Deeply and passionately. It was all Rick could do to not break the kiss and return it. He gave in forgetting his reluctance.

"Yes we should. Come on."

Dal lead him into the dark interior, a wolf manager ushered them to a private table. The menu had no prices on it. Dal ordered a white wine for himself, and a small salad. Rick had no choice but ordered something. He thought it would be a steak. He wasn't sure, it was in French.

"So....."Dal rumbled deeply. "I know we've only known each other for a short while Rick, but you do mean a lot to me. I hope this isn't too much, but really I was afraid to do too little."

Rick sighed.

"Dal, it's wonderful. But really it's expensive!"

Dal cocked his head to the side.

"Um, dear, let me spoil you some."

Rick sighed. "I just don't want things to be too one sided." Rick's ears went flat. A bad habit when he was nervous. Dal reached for his hand.

"Rick you have no idea do you. How much you mean to me? I don't make friends easily. I mean look at me? We Clydesdales are rare enough. Most people think I'm going to punch them, or stomp on them or something."

Dal sighed and rubbed his equine nose. Rick was getting the impression that the poor equine really didn't know what he was doing sometimes and got nervous and either shook his mane or rubbed his nose. It was relaxing to see that simple gesture. It meant that Dal really DID like him. Maybe more than like him.

Rick smiled, easing up on his attitude.

"Sorry Dal, it's just that, well my parents are rich, I'm not. It's a long story."

Their meal arrived. Rick's eyes boggled at the amount of meat on his plate. All of it rare. Not medium, not well done, rare. Almost raw. He glanced at the salad Dal had. One thing he noticed was that Dal didn't even shudder at the sight of the beef.

**

Dal grinned to himself. "Ahem....um..." he raised his white wine glass. Rick belatedly must have realized what was happening, and put his fork down. Rick shyly raised his glass of red wine.

"To the future, may it be happy."

That should be simple enough, I don't want to scare him off too much.

Rick smiled, they clinked glasses and ate in silence.

Dal did notice that he got a lot of rude stares throughout the meal. Most of the canine patrons were not happy he was here. He shrugged it off. He ate here once in a while. Their wine list was the best in town. If there was one thing Dal liked, it was wine. He wondered why he was getting all the stares. Normally he got one or two, not ten or twenty. It slowly dawned on him....

_Because I'm with a canine. That is so stupid._He began to frown a little to himself. He caught it, and forced a genuine smile.

The manager came over quickly. "Sir, I was wondering if there is anything else you need."

This was odd behavior. Whenever he frequented a lone they would leave him in peace. "No Bertrand, we're fine, why?"

The doberman manager leaned in closer. "Well, sir, you do know this is a meat only establishment?" The inflection made it a question, not a statement.

Dal stared fixedly at the doberman. "And?"

"And well sir, your type would probably be more comfortable...."

"Ah I see. My type. Dal stood up abruptly. Rick stared at him wide eyed.

Dal loomed over the doberman. "And what type am I?"

Bertrand looked like he would rather be anywhere but where he was. It looked like he was regretting this decision.

"Um, you sir, are a customer?"

"Correct." Dal stated. He crossed his arms. "And???"

"Um....sir, it's just that we've had complaints."

Dal leaned down and snorted bringing his face level with the canine. "What type of complaints?"

Rick quickly stood up and tugged on Dal's sleeve "Um....Dal....now may not...."

Dal shrugged the tug off.

"What TYPE of complaints?"

"Well, sir, that it's not normal for a carnivore and an herbivore to ah...."

Dal raised his voice.

"I see. It's not normal. Well, Bertrand, do you even remember my name?"

"DAL!" Rick hissed as loudly as he dared. He hated scenes.

"Um....no?" Bertrand responded..

Dal straighened. "I see." He responded quietly. He nodded to himself. He hated what he was going to do, but he had a reputation, and he would be damned if some canine would be a jerk to him. He pulled out one of his cards, wrapped it in a hundred dollar bill, and handed it to the manager. "That is for the server. The card is for you. I expect an apology."

Dal turned on his hoof, and made for a hasty exit. Rick quickly followed.

**

Rick sat in silence as Dal raved next to him in the carriage. "Of all the idiotic, backwater, uptight, idiots that exist, to think I used to go there on a weekly basis for their Chardonay!"

Rick patted the equine shoulder and sighed. He'd expected this really. Sometime, somewhere, someone was going to make a fuss. 'It just isn't done.' between species. Come to think of it, he probably had more experience in this than Dal had. He'd been teased a lot in HS for his companion choices, then there was college. He'd been pretty discrete, but word got around.

"If I ever...." Dal continued his voice echoing from building to building.

He really has a big set of lungs. I wonder why he never took up signing. He'd make a great Commedantore in Don Giovani!

"Dal, sweetheart, calm down. It's ok, dinner was wonderful, and so were you. I've never seen you, so, well, determined." Rick patted Dal's thick shoulder. That seemed to wind him down a little.

Dal deflated. "I just wanted tonight to be perfect." Rick leaned in and wrapped his arms around the equine chest. "I know. It's just something we have to deal with. Besides, once they see your card, I bet you a day off of lessons you get an apology and free dinner!"

Dal laughed deeply.

"You're probably right." Dal sat straight up. "Driver, home please!"

**

The carriage pulled up in front of Dal's apartment. Dal was really nervous now. This would be it. The big one. He hoped the poor canine could handle it. He'd been restraining himself, well, for days.

Rick followed him up the stairs to the apartment. Dal opened the door and stepped in. Rick was greeted to a small table with a small card, and one white rose in a vase. Dal could see the canine's eyes shine at the sight.

Rick padded over quickly to the card and opened it. Then looked back at Dal with a puzzled look.

Dal had memorized what he had written.

"Hope you liked dinner, and I hope you're ready for your other present."

Dal gripped something from behind the door, and hid it behind his back.

"Close your eyes."

**

Rick closed his eyes. He felt movement near him, a quick rustling of cloth, and then a soft hand on his shoulder. He could already feel himself getting hard.

"Open your eyes."

Rick's eyes snapped open. He was sorely confused for one second. Then sorely embarrassed.

Dal stood there holding a guitar case. The case was old. Very old. Rick reached out...."Dal?"

Dal nickered and shook his mane.

"Like I said, you mean a lot to me. You've been a best friend, and are quickly becoming a lover and more. Regardless of the future, I wanted you to have something from me that really means something. Sure I could have composed you something, but in the end compositions belong to everyone. No, you needed something special, something only you would have, and something that came from me. Not something you would have to share with other people.

Rick gulped as he sat down on the couch and opened the hard case. Rich red wood met his eyes. The sleek neck was ebony, and was fretless. It had 12 strings. His fingers strummed against the (REAL) gut strings, and the guitar whispered to him.

Dal put his arm around Rick's shoulder.

Rick gulped.

"Now, it's not a real Meldoni. It's a replica, but it's an old replica, made by one of his students by hand, about a hundred years ago, well after Meldoni's death. It should just about be broken in."

Rick stared into the equine eyes. "I....Dal....I don't know what so say."

Dal beamed down at him. "I do....

Dal leaned down and kissed him.....

Rick had no warning. Only years of training kept him from dropping the expensive guitar. He concentrated on the kiss, but let habits take over and he closed the case and lowered it to the floor.

"Dal...I couldn't...."

Dalten pressed harder into him....leaving Rick breathless and weak. Suddenly Dal's hands were all over Rick. His back, his chest, his rump.....the last drove all thoughts of the guitar out of his mind.....

"Dal...." he breathed between kisses

"Mmm?" Dal responded. There was a tearing sound. Rick opened his eyes quickly to see the equine had rid himself of his shirt in one go......

"Um....Dal....I've....um.....only once before....."

Dal didn't pause...."It's ok.....me neither...."

Rick gave in....he was putty....

**

Dal reached down and quickly undid his slacks. Shirts were easy to find, slacks not so much. He shifted as much as he could to get the bothersome confines off of his lower form, finally freeing himself. As he continued the kiss, he realized Rick was following suit. He chuckled to himself.

"Feeling frisky pup?"

Rick only nodded.

His stiffening equine member slid quickly from his sheath hardening almost instantly. Nothing got him harder than a kiss.

Dal breathed heavily through his nostrils smelling the mix of equine and canine. He finally got a good wiff of Rick - musky - very musky. Very masculine. It was a huge turn on. Before Dal had been more concerned about getting off.....this time.....he wanted to make certain Rick remembered this night for a long time.

**

Rick found himself picked up bodily as he continued to probe the equine mouth passionately with his tongue. Suddenly he felt himself unceremoniously dropped onto Dal's bed. His eyes snapped open. The equine loomed above him. His huge member dripping precum like faucet onto the floor. Dal had a smile on his face and winked.

"Don't worry, I'll be gentle...."

Rick gulped, but that was all he had time for. Suddenly Dal was on his cock, his flat equine tongue swirling around it rhythmically. Rick groaned. His precum output doubled. It had been a long time since anyone had.....

Rick opened one eye quickly.....Dal's finger was massing his hole very gently. For a second it took him to realize that Dal's finger was very slick.

And exactly where that slickness had come from. Dal had drooled copiously down Rick's thick cock, his eyes closed in bliss.

Rick felt the thick equine finger probe him. As he'd said, he'd only "done it once" but the thick equine finger met little resistance. Rick felt this was what he desperately wanted......he opened himself slowly feeling the thick digit easily enter as he exhaled....

"Ahhhhh...." was all he could make out. Suddenly he felt the entire finger inside him and he was pushed forward urgently, sliding across the bed, a great weight coming down on either side of him.

**

Dal pushed the canine forward as hard as his could. He'd need a lot of room for his thick thighs and hooves. The bed was a King size, but that left little room for the poor canine. He'd have to be careful. He hefted his thighs to the bed, settling his shins on either side of Rick, straddling the poor canine.

Rick was panting heavily from the double assault on his cock and tail hole. Dal doubted he'd expect his next move. Dal pulled off the tasty, and very wet, canine cock quickly causing Rick to gasp and open his eyes.

**

Rick opened his eyes. Dal loomed over him, straddling him. His huge equine member making a huge pool of precum on his chest.

"Ready?" The equine asked, smiling hugely.

"Wait....Dal....I don't think I can...."

Suddenly the equine lowered himself onto Rick's thick canine cock with an equine whinny. Rick caught his breath. That was NOT what he was expecting. Slowly the huge horse lowered himself down his length, snorting out his huge nose.

Rick involuntarily arched his back, thrusting himself deep into Dal. That dappled marking was mesmerizing him yet again. The soft gray rising from the sheath to Dal's navel and just above it. Dal's abs flexed and shone with equine sweat and definition. Rick knew Dal hit the gym, it was only now that he was realizing how much!

Dal snorted as Rick bottomed out in him, his thick knot meeting the base of the equine's rump. Rick could tell that Dal was very pleased with himself. His lips were parted, his breath came heavily, his tail was flagged, and he was producing a huge about of pre.

Rick absently wondered if they'd have to get some sheet covers.

**

When Rick thrust deeply into him Dal let out a huge snort of pleasure. Oh Gods this is bliss! The canine member was lubing him up perfectly and just reaching his prostate. He was being stimulated from the inside for the first time in years.

Instinct took over as he began to rise and lower himself on Rick's thick leaking canine cock.

"oooh yes.....right.....right THERE" he rumbled as the canine cock hit his prostate. A huge shot of pre hit the canine in his chin. The canine tongue lolled out and lapped it off. Suddenly Rick gripped Dal's hips and pulled Dal forward....

"What are you....oh.....oh my"

Rick had found that Dal, as long and thick as he was, easily reached Rick's chin in this position. Dal was in trouble. He was getting fucked royally by Rick, AND he was getting a blow job at the same time. The canine muzzle was engulfing as much of the equine meat as the dalmatian could. Rick moaned and squeezed Dal's medial ring....

"ahhhh....Rick.....that.....uh....."

There was no time for a warning. He slammed himself down as hard as he could onto the canine. The hugely thick canine knot slipped passed his ring. They'd tied! There also was no backing out as the orgasm built in him. He felt his huge balls draw up.....he snorted hugely as the first shot gunned into the canine's mouth...

**

Rick felt Dal slide the knot home as he squeezed the equine medial ring. He wasn't going to last long, and he doubted Dal would either. A huge snort was the only warning he had. A huge load of cum emptied into his muzzle. He lapped it up and swallowed the load as quickly as he could as load after load emptied into his maw. He was proud that only a few dropps leaked from his mouth.

**

There was a faint thumping from Mrs. Jacobson.

Dal ignored it.

Dalten fell forward and to his side, almost landing on top of the canine. He'd had enough presence of mind to catch himself and lean to the right. They were tied. From what he'd read, this might take a while. He didn't care it felt awesome. His ass spasmed once or twice. He could feel, yes he would think it this time, his lover's seed deep inside of him, and he nickered in contentment.

A low whine answered him. He glanced across at Rick with lidded eyes, totally content with himself.

"Uh Dal? Please, don't spasm if you can help it...I'm ah....a little overly stimulated."

"Sorry." He rumbled in reply.

The two of them lay together for a long while until finally Dal could disengage from Rick. He scooted over and pulled the canine to his chest and gave him a huge kiss. He could taste his own cum on the canine's mouth.

**

Rick leaned into the kiss. This was not what he'd been expecting at all. A horse as a bottom? Not that he was complaining at all. He's very much enjoyed himself. He was beginning to realize that while he may have lusted after the dumb horse, he was falling in love with him as well.

They broke the kiss. Soon Dal was snoring. Rick took up his place, curled up with his muzzle resting on Dal's slowly rising and falling chest.

_I've been far too hard on him. He's awfully sweet. That dinner, that guitar, that sex! Woof! I just got treated like a king!_Rick traced a pattern absently on Dal's tummy, outlining the dappled marking.

I really need to learn how to just take love._Rick laughed at himself inwardly. _Here I was trying to keep things cool, and here he is trying to drag me into his big equine heart. He really is single minded. And I don't think I mind that one bit. It sure brings stability doesn't it?

Rick looked up at the equine face above him. Dal was deeply asleep. His left ear twitched in a dream every second or so.

Rick sighed. I really do love him. I'm going to have to tell him or he'll think I'm ungrateful or interested in him just for money or his fame.

Slowly slumber came to the canine. He tried not to drool too much in his sleep.

**

The video screen Beeped angrily in the night. Dal snorted waking quickly. The familiar pool of canine drool on his chest. "Rick, get up, I need to get this." Rick lazily laid aside, Dal hefted himself up. He idly scratched at the dried cum and pre on his abdomen and legs and made it to the video screen. He made certain only his top half was visible and hit the answer button.

"Dal!?" It was his mother's singular eye again.

"Mom, back up, I can see you fine. What is it...it's....three AM.?"

"Dal, it's your brother, he's gone."

**

Rick quickly padded into the living room where the vidscreen was. Dal was making a good imitation of a fish. "Gone ma'am? Where?" Rick asked, his head cocked to the side.

"We don't know. Dal, your dad went to get him up for chores, and there was just this note" She shoved a piece of paper blurrily at the screen."

"What does it say?" Dal asked in a small voice.

His mom read it aloud:

"Gone out for a while. Be back when I can. I have things to take care of."

Rick watched Dal and his mom both of them stunned.

"Meghan?" Dal asked using the name of his brother's fiance's sister.

Dal's mom shook her head no. "No. First place we called. They haven't seen him either. The cops won't help as he left a note and said he'd be back. Dal what do we do!?"

Dal shrugged. I don't know.

Finally Virginia seemed to recognize she was talking to two very obliviously shirtless males.

"Um, I...ah....I'll call you if I hear anything Dal, Rick. Night!"

The screen went black.

**

Dal stared at the blank screen. He could feel Rick's paw on his shoulder as the canine said something comforting. There was only one thing that came to his mind. That one conversation the two brother's had shared about Rick, and jealousy.

"Oh no...." Dal whispered putting his head into his hands...."oh no no no...."
