"I.." Jade started, "..don't remember anything like that happening to me. The transformation was nearly instant, then came the anger... Hatred. Thrown off the ship in a fiery blast, and woke up here. Never any confrontation with.. A head you said?"The sergal had told him pretty much everything that happened, excluding what snapped him out of his "Dream" for lack of a better term. "Yeah.. Some kind of demonic sounding voice, and then a head made from the same.. I guess, Darkness. I really can't describe it any any other way. Said he had complete control over me, and really, I couldn't do anything to stop it." he continued."So how'd you get out? I mean, sounds like things got pretty tight in there." Jade asked, obviously interested in the experience, which had been much more different than his."Well, that's the strange part. I mean,I thought as hard as I could, focusing on getting help, and I.. Like the "me" before the change just burst through the darkness, and that was that.""Just like that?" Jade asked."Well, not quite. There was a flash of blue light, and he spoke to me." The sergal spoke, quoting what he'd been told. " The question.. He said, is who will you be with what you have.""Hmm.." Jade mused. "It sounds to me, like your subconscious is looking out for you, and doing a damn good job of it too.""I suppose that's quite useful. I guess I can't keep calling myself Koyu either. People might start asking questions." The sergal responded, now lost in thought himself."So what will you go by? Have you ever even thought about it?" The fox replied, receiving a few minutes of silence, before the sergal in front of him spoke up."Zarvaun. Zarvaun Kemrus. Something I came up with a while back, for fun. Never thought I'd actually need to use it." Zarv said in reply, content with his choice."Zarv..." Jade spoke, thinking about the name. "I like it.""Mhmm. It fits. Anyway, we should really get out of here. You have family to find, and I've work to do. I'd like to find out who it was that captured you, and see what I can do about it." Zarv spoke, standing up, and lending a paw to the fox."You're right." Jade said, taking the paw and getting up as well, as they both headed out the front door."Well well well, that husky's having a bigger party in there than I thought, huh?" The bear was standing over the wall again, looking at the both of them with a half-empty beer in hand. "Maybe I should come over sometime, see what trouble I can get into, eh?""Tell ya what.. What's your name?" Zarv spoke, in the most casual tone possible."Freddy, Fred if you like. At your service." He replied, attempting to bow, and almost falling over in the process."Well, Fred. We're all getting together later tonight, around six o'clock. Head in then, and we'll see what happens." He continued, with Jade having absolutely no clue what he was saying. "Oh, and if you got any of 'The Good Stuff', Bring it.""I'll be there!" Fred said, hopping down off the wall, and heading inside, obviously excited."Zarv... What was-?" Jade tried to ask as the sergal pulled him down the wooden steps, before pulling out his phone and dialing a number."Hello? Police department? Yeah, I've got an anonymous tip that theres a huge drug deal going down at condo number 4 tonight at 6. Kthxbai." The sergal said, quickly disconnecting the phone and just smiling as they walked to the sidewalk."Was that really necessary?" Jade asked."Oh, absolutely." Zarvaun said, chuckling before quickly breaking back to a serious tone. "Alright, we've both places to be. Can you find your way out of here?" "I think so. It's been awhile since I've been here, but I'll be okay. You're right, I need to see my mother again, and she needs to know I'm okay. Thank you, Koy- I mean... Zar. For everything." Jade said, rubbing at his eyes just a bit."Really, don't worry about it. Alright, we should get going. Goodbye, Ja-" Zarvaun tried to say, before the fox tackled him into a hug."Like I said before, I'll never forget you." Jade said, one last time, before running off, down the sidewalk. Zarvaun turned around, and did the same.
