A sound from inside the house caught her attention, her eyes snapping open as she got to her feet and made her way in and to the source of the sound in the kitchen. Picking up the phone she spoke. "Hello."

"Hey mom." Hana's voice came from the other end of the line. "Zeus and I just wanted to call and make sure that you have some clothes on.....we're going to be heading that way, we have something to tell you."

"Ok sweetie, just give me a few moments to get dressed and a few things picked up." Chou said with a little snicker.

"Gross mom.....see you in a bit." Hana said giggling a little as she hung up. "We just need to give her a few and things will be good."

"Not a problem sexy," the horse boy said patting his lover on the rump as he walked past her. "Need to get some things out of the storage shed for our trip to the lake later. May as well do it now so we can get out of here quicker when we get back." Pausing at the back door of the cabin he turned a little and said, "while I do that, in the closet in the living room are some pillows with green covers on them, they're water proof. Grab those please and put some drinks in that coller over beside the pantry door please sweet lips."

"You got it." Hana said smiling softly as she made her way to the closet, rifling through it for the thing aforementioned. Once she had them, she set them beside the door in one of the chairs, and went off to busy herself with filling the cooler, and getting everything ready for their trip.

Zeus whistled softly as he dug through the contents of the storage shed in search of his camping gear. Most of it stacked neatly near the door. One item in particular was missing and he had to look harder to remember where he had placed it. Spying the dark blue tote bag that contained the heavy inflatable bed and raised frame he smiled to himself as he moved boxes and plastic totes to retrieve it. "This will be a night to remember my sexy little puppy," he said to himself as he walked back out the door and started stacking the items outside of the shed. "Now with a little luck I can pull a bed of roses out of my furry behind and surprise my soon to be mate." Cocking his head to the side a little he mumbled, "I wonder if puppy girls squeak when they get excited..."

Within a few minutes the horse boy had the gear hauled to the garage, loading it into the small trailer that could be pulled behind the motorcycle with ease. As he was strapping it in place the raccoon dog girl walked up beside him, the pillows tucked under one arm and the cooler in her other paw, a huge smile on her face.

"Looks like this is going to be a fun night." Hana said as she watched her lover strapping things down before handing him the cooler and the pillows and blanket. "This must be a big tent or something.....bigger than the one that I make you pitch." She said with a little snicker.

"Something like that," the equine said turning quickly and scooping his lover into his arms. Leaning down, touching the tip of his muzzle to the puppy girls, a devilish twinkle in his eyes he added, "I happen to like the way you make me pitch a tent sexy... at least when there aren't a hundred people staring at us like we're nuts." Kissing her softly on the lips, his paws groping her perky rear playfully he snickered as he broke the kiss. "So... think it's safe to go give mama Chou the news yet?"

"If it isn't we can watch her haul some ass to get ready." Hana said with a little giggle. "And I can't help it....You were the one that sat behind me on the bleachers.....and had the perfect spot to rest my head." She said smiling and poking her tongue out.

Blushing deeply as he let her slip from his arms the horse boy said, "lay your head... God I still can't believe you did that right there in front of everyone. But to be honest it was amazing... especially when I would think about getting caught like that and thrown out of the stadium." Grabbing their helmets from the nearby shelf and handing hers to the puppy girl he added, "come on sweet lips ;lets go see how badly mama Chou rips me a new one when we tell her for sure that we're getting married."

As the pair rode up to the smaller cabin, the wind whipping Hana's long hair as she giggled happily and hung onto her lover's waist the bike swervd a little before pulling to a stop near the porch of the cabin.

With a giggle Zeus said, "damn it Hana, I asked you to stop doing that when I'm driving... we nearly hit that last tree when you groped me like that," as he pulled his helmet off and turned around to look at his lover.

"I'm sorry.....I can't help it that you look so hot when you're driving that thing.....If I knew how to get you to do it.....We would be making love on one of them as we drive." Hana said licking her lips as she set her helmet on the seat of the bike.

The two made their way up to the cabin and knocked on the door, there was a small sound of someone rushing to do something before the door opened. "I was starting to think that you two had gotten side tracked." Chou said stepping to the side, letting them walk into the cabin. "So what is this news?"

As they stepped through the door Zeus sniffed deeply. "Mmmm vanila... been baking cookies or something mama Chou?"

"Nope. That's the stuff that she burns when she is trying to cover something up." Hana said with a little snicker as they walked over to the sofa, the three of them sitting down.

"No.....I was burning it to help me meditate.....I'm not that much of a perv." Chou said snickering a little.

"Yeah right mom." Hana said shaking her head a little. "It's strawberry when you're meditating, vanila when you.....do that..."

"Ummm, does it work?" the equine boy asked blushing brightly, their big news forgotten for the moment as his lover teased her mother openly.

"For most furs it does.....though with canines and species that have a good sense of smell, not to much." Chou said snickering a little, admitting that she had been up to something. "Anyway, you two have something to tell me.....and it better not be that she's knocked up or something like that."

"No... nothing like that I swear mama Chou," Zeus said quickly. "We have... well been going at it like minks in heat and all... but we've been safe and used protection. What have to tell you is that after a little more time with your wonderful daughter I'm convinced that this is the right thing to do. It's official, I've asked Hana to be my mate and marry me..."

"Well that was quicker than I thought." Chou said as she leaned back in her chair. "I thought that it would have taken another day before you two decided that, but it is wonderful news." She said smiling. "I'm not sure what your family's traditions are when it comes to this kind of thing, but we would like a more traditional wedding."

Giggling a little he responded, "dad will go along with just about anything. Mom on the other hand may freak out a little. But that will pass pretty quickly once she understands that I'm completely serious about this. I'm sure she'll give me the whole 'this is a case of puppy love' speech," he said with a little snicker, "especially considering that my choice of mate is a canine girl. But I know I can convince her it's not anything like that. I love Hana, which mom will say is too soon to know that but I do know it, with all my heart." Leaning back into the sofa he took a deep breath and asked, "so what is a more traditional wedding as far as Hana is concerned?"

"Well it's kind of a mix of Eastern and Western cultures." Chou said leaning forward. "We get married in a chapel, but several of the traditions follow the old ways. Such as the wife to be dressing in nothing but white....that use to mean getting fur dyed for the tradition, but I think that's a little much." The mother said. "Traditional Japanese food and drinks, kimonos for everyone....." She paused for a moment. "And maybe a trip overseas."

"Ummm... a trip overseas?" the equine boy asked cocking an eyebrow at his lovers mather. "That could present a little problem on my end maybe. Though I may be able to put that to rest if I know why the trip is necessary mama Chou."

"Well for it to be traditional it is." She said smiling, pausing a moment. "And if it's something to do with money, then I have enough flyer miles to cover, me, you, Hana, and your family."

"Oh no nothing like that mama Chou," the horse boy said rubbing his chin in thought for a moment. "The problem is my mother... she refuses to fly. Three different times dad planned really great vacations for the family. And each time we ended up going without mom because she refused to get on the airplane. I want my mother to be there when Hana and I get married, and as far as the rest of the objections I know she may come up with I can handle those without a problem. I'm just not sure if that would be a good enough reason for her to get on a plane."

"Well if that's the cause.....will she get on a boat......" Chou said, the smile that she had growing a little.

"I don't know... she might.' Zeus said leaning his head to the side. "But a trip like that by boat takes what... two, three weeks? She'd have to leave way ahead of the rest of us and I'm not sure dad would be okay with that."

"We can all go by boat.....have a nice vacation....a chance for us to meet your family.....get to know them and all.....and well.....have fun....I'm sure that we could all go for some of that." Chou said smiling and licking her lips.

Shaking his head slowly the horse boy said, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask, once she get over the freak out of me getting married that is."

"Just make sure you tell them that everything is paid for and all that." Chou said reaching out and patting the boy on the knee.

"Mom.....just what the hell are you up to." Hana said cocking her eyebrow.

"Yes." Was all that the mother said. "So when are you going to tell them?"

"I was thinking this coming Tuesday," Zeus said leaning forward on the sofa. "I thought I could invite Hana to dinner with my parents, or at least tell them I had and we can tell them then. Actually tell my mom then, dad will grill me like a steak after this weekend and I know I'll never be able to keep it from him. Besides that way I'll have him as an ally to help me deal with mom."

Snickering a little. "Just try to get some of it recorded.....I want to see the looks on their faces." Chou said smiling. "And once you tell them, then we can start getting everything set up for the trip and the wedding."

"Mom.......I want to know what you are planning?" She said shaking her head. "It's not nice to keep secrets and all that....isn't that what you told me?"

"Oh ok.....buzz kill." Chou said shaking her head. "You know that your grandma and grandpa would want to be able to see you getting married....I mean you are their favorite grandkid." She said smiling. "That and......well....other things."

"You're still hiding something......I will get it out of you one way or the other."

"I guess that makes sense," the horse boy said leaning back into the sofa again. "I know if any of my grandparents were still talking to the rest of my family they would be excited for me and want to be there. At least the ones still living would... he added trailing off for a few moments. An almost evil grin came to his lips as Zeus snickered then said, "and that's how to get mom on the boat. I can tell her that if she won't be there for me, grandma Estelle will be."

"Well well it looks like we have more and more of our little ducks in a row." Chou said smiling and snickering. "I will make a few calls.....and get the rest of the ducks in a row."

"Ummm okay, so when do you want to do this Hana?" her lover asked wrapping her in his arms.

"Well......just as soon as you tell them and get everything ready......so in a week or two we leave port." Chou said smiling, Hana just face palming.

"That's.... kind of quick isn't it?" Zeus asked wide eyed. "Some kind of a hurry about this all aren't you mama Chou? It's not like I'm going to change my mind or anything about marrying Hana." Looking from his lover to her mother he added, "I mean I can get things set in time, and get both of us set up to do our school work online while we're gone but...."

"It's not so much a rush." Chou said smiling. "And I'm sure that you can get all of that set up in time. The reason around this time, the weather is sooooooo nice.....and so many festivals around that time.....I'm sure that we can talk your family into staying a little.....enjoy some of the events and local life."

"I guess.... well... " the equine said pulling his puppy lover into his lap and nuzzling her neck. " Looks like within a month we'll be mated Hana, assuming my family doesn't keel over dead when I spring all this on them at once. You ready to be Hana Chamberlain sweet cheeks?"

"I am." She said smiling and snickering a little. "It has a nice ring to it, better than Zeus Jin." Hana said with a little giggle.

"That does sound a little odd.....kinda like a really expensive greek booze." Chou said smiling.

"This family dinner promises to be very interesting," Zeus said shaking his head a little. "If she doesn't keel over in ten seconds mom will be in for some very big surprises." Leaning back into the sofa, pulling his lover close and cuddling with her the equine boy asked, "so mama Chou, since it's a sure thing that you will be living here, how do you like your place?"

"I have to say.....I like it a lot." The older raccoon dog said smiling warmly. "So peaceful and calm.....I could hear myself thinking when I was doing my morning meditation.....oh and having enough room to do tai chi without worrying about hitting something is amazing."
