The Little Girl with the Freckles

Once there was a little girl, who lived in a cottage in the forest. She was very young and very pretty. She didn't think so herself though, as she had some freckles on her cheeks. She tried to scrub them off, but that only made her cheeks red and sore.

One day, she was going for a walk in the forest, and she met a wolverine.

She looked discontent so he asked.

"What is wrong with you, young lady?"

-"Oh, I just went to get a rid of these freckles, but nothing seems to work" she explained.

The wolverine thought for a while, and then a sly smirk spread across his muzzle.

"Well, maybe that's because you haven't tried magic?" He said.

-"Magic?" She repeated, her eyes going wide.

-"Yes, it is quite simple" the wolverine started explaining.

"You need a magic juice, which is gained from magic vegetables here in the forest"

Never having heard of magic vegetables, she asked:

-"Where can those be found?"

An even more sly smile had now appeared on the wolverine's muzzle.

-"It's your lucky day sweetie. I just happen to have a magic chili right here between my hind legs" He then lifted his hind leg to let her see for herself. And it was true, a bright red chili-looking thing was pressing against the rodent's belly.

-"Oh, that's so nice of you" said the young girl, who had never seen a male's equipment before.

"so, how do I get the juice?" she asked, curiously.

-"It's very simple, love" the wolverine explained. "Just grab it with your hand and rub it for a while, place your face in front of it, and you will get the magic juice"

The girl got herself in position under the wolverine and grabbed the chili. She then noticed the two tiny orbs hanging behind it and pointed to them with her free hand.

"What are those?" she asked.

-"Oh those are just some ... umm ... furry peanuts, pay no attention to those" came the reply.

Then the little girl started rubbing the magic chili. After a little while, only very little juice had appeared and she said "I don't think it's very juicy" but the wolverine assured her that it was just to keep up the good work. And once again he had spoken the truth; after a few more moments of rubbing, the wolverine growled deeply and she was awarded a few spurts of magic juice right in her face.

The little girl thanked the wolverine, who was very happy to help, and rubbed the juice into her face thoroughly.

The next morning though, the freckles had not disappeared, and the little girl thought

"Maybe it was not enough magic juice"

So she went to the forest again and this time found a fox who was minding his own business as she came along. She asked:

"Do you have a magic vegetable between your hind legs like the wolverine, so I can get some magic juice for my freckles?"

The fox and the wolverine were good buddies, so he knew about the story.

-"Yes my dear" he said with a wink. "I have a magic pepper right here between my hind legs. Get under me and rub it, and you will have more magic juice in your face than you had from the wolverine" The fox lifted his hind leg, presenting the bulbous magic pepper that was pressing against his belly.

The little girl clapped her hands in joy over having been so lucky as to find another animal in the forest carrying a magic vegetable.

She got under the fox, who was wagging his tail excitedly, grabbed the magic pepper but she then noticed the two reasonable orbs hanging behind it and pointed to them with her free hand.

"What are those?" she asked.

-"Oh those are just some ... umm ... furry paranuts, pay no attention to those" came the reply this time.

Then the little girl started rubbing the magic pepper. After a little while, only very little juice had appeared and she said "I don't think it's very juicy" but the fox assured her that it was just to keep up the good work. And like the last time, after a few more moments of rubbing, the fox growled deeply and she was awarded several thick spurts of magic juice right in her face, some of it slowly dripping down and off her chin.

The little girl thanked the fox, who was very happy to help, and rubbed the juice into her face thoroughly.

The next morning though, the freckles had still not disappeared, and the little girl thought

"I might need even more magic juice"

So she went to the forest again and this time found a majestic red deer stag who was drinking some lake water as she came along. She asked:

"Do you have a magic vegetable between your hind legs like the wolverine and fox, so I can get some magic juice for my freckles?"

The three animals were good buddies, so he too knew about the story.

-"Yes, my little honeypot" he said with a nod, licking his muzzle. "I have a big magic carrot right here between my hind legs. Get under me and rub it, and you will have more magic juice in your face than you had from the wolverine and fox combined!"

The little girl did a little happy dance as she had been so lucky as to find three animals of the forest carrying a magic vegetable in three days. The stag didn't need to lift his hind leg for her to see the long, almost red, magic carrot jutting against his belly and girth.

She got under the big stag, who snorted when she grabbed the magic carrot but she then noticed the two big orbs hanging behind it and pointed to them with her free hand.

"What are those?" she asked.

-"Oh those are just some ... umm ... furry lemons, pay no attention to those" came the reply this time.

Then the pretty little girl started rubbing the magic carrot. After a little while, only little juice had appeared and she said "I don't think it's very juicy" but the stag assured her that it was just to keep up the good work.

After a short while, a massive roar could be heard across the forest.

Some hundred meters away, the fox and wolverine could see the stag awkwardly galloping towards the horizon with great speed, his equipment dangling back and forth between his hind legs.

Soon, the little girl went over to them, all covered in magic juice.

"Eh ... what happened?" said the two animals in unison.

-"I don't know what 's wrong with him" said the pretty little girl.

"I just felt the magic juice starting to come out, and I wanted some more this time, so I gave the lemons a good, hard squeeze"
