Koyu sighed. The display of power the wolf showed was definitely not normal, but it didn't scare him. If anything, it just peaked his interest."Start at the beginning, tell me everything." The husky said passively. The wolf took a moment to collect himself before speaking up."Those men that were outside... They- reminded me of everything that happened. The memories came back like a flood, and I couldn't help it I-" He started."Don't worry. They won't be coming back. Just keep going." Koyu responded."I-" He started. "I didn't use to be... Dark colored.. Or a wolf, for that matter. Before all this happened, I was a white fox. White as the snow, in fact, thats what my parents named me after.. Jade Snow. My fathers first name was Jade, so they figured it was appropriate. I loved my parents, I really did, but.. When my father got into a head-on collision with another car, he didn't survive. My mom couldn't bear loosing him, and soon fell into deep depression and took up drinking. I'd never seen here so low. She didn't even take me to school anymore, I had to walk there myself." He continued telling his childhood story, tears again filling up his face at the memories. He took a while to regain composure this time, and Koyu felt he needed it."One day, I was walking home from school, as was my normal routine, but just before I reached my front door, something hard connected with the back of my head. I collapsed, but was just able to look up to see some large guys in those same suits above me. After that I blacked out.""Oh man, I'm so sorry, Jade. That's-" Koyu responded, before being cut off. The wolf seemed to be in a trance recalling his memories."When I woke up, I was put into some kind of jail cell, but it was small, cramped, and dark. Nothing but a small hole full of bars to look through. They left me in there for.. It must have been a week. I was starving at that point, and they only came by once a day to put a tube through the window for water. I thought I would be left to die in there." Jade continued telling his story, to the point all Koyu could do was listen."They finally came and opened the door. I tried to run, but just as I'd thought about it, they tazed me. I couldn't move. They dragged me to some lab looking room, and chained me to a wall opposite a machine, and left. I had no clue what to think at that point, but I could hear them all talking. Something about all previous subjects were marked as dead. That scared me the most, I think. Knowing I was going to die by the hands of something I didn't even know what was." The wolf said, pausing for just a moment, to reflect."They started up the machine, and a few minutes later some kind of portal opened. I don't know where to, or how they'd managed to do it, but something was very, very wrong with the way it

happened. It was like it was made of.. Just.. Pure darkness. I don't know how to explain it. But... I can show you." Sure enough, just as he said this part, he lifted a paw, and right in front of him some sort of portal opened. Koyu didn't feel the same fear the wolf did, but that was quickly dismissed with the wolf continuing his story."I can't open the same portal they did, this is just.. Similar. After they opened it, something escaped. It was like.. Some kind of snake thing, but it was floating and seemed to separate from the portal, And as soon as it did, they shut down the portal." He continued speaking, showing exactly what he tried to describe with whatever power he had directly in front of him."It was headed right for me, and I was completely scared. As it got closer, though, I felt anger... Hatred... All the worst emotions I could fathom, and it only got worse. I was screaming at this point, and just then, it seemed to open up and encapsulate my muzzle. I couldn't scream, or move, or do anything. The second it touched me It took hold of me, and sort of got absorbed into my fur and skin. As it traveled through my body, my fur color changed along with it, becoming jet black. Once it had fully spread, I felt like my bones were breaking and re-assembling themselves. It was the most painful experience I'd ever gone through, and I didn't know when It'd be over." "When it was all over, I wasn't afraid anymore. Its as if it had taken away all my fear, and transformed it into.. Something even worse. I felt nothing but anger then. Whoever was behind the glass watching sounded excited, but it didn't last. I killed him first. At will, I could summon pure darkness to do whatever I wanted it to. I felt.. Actually felt five other people in that room, so I summoned shards of that black stuff and shoved them through the glass. I.. Killed them all. I.." He couldn't continue. It was too painful recalling what he had done to those people, and at this point Koyu was a bit worried about his own safety.
