Hello everyone I hope you all enjoy this week's chapter and for all everyone just joining in on this series I post just about every Friday. I will continue this story until I'll get to a good ending point, in which I'll ask you guys if you want me to continue or if you want me to end it with a depressing prologue. Don't forget I need some constructive criticism to help with my grammar so I can articulate the story better for you all! Enjoy! :)

Ian p.o.v

I awake from my not-so-peaceful slumber with my entire body aching. I sit up, grabbing my chest while doing so and look at my bruised body. I take in a few sharp breathes but no matter what a signal of immense pain emerges from my ribs. I get up from the ground and attempt to stand on my two feet, but I'm so weak I fall to the ground screaming in agony when my back hits the floor. I see a bucket where I'm supposed to my business and next to where I was sleeping is a bible. I turn to apprehend the damned thing, and exploiting the last of my strength I tear it apart using my hands and canines. That probably took up an hour of my time, but now I have nothing to do. I drag myself over to a pile of boxes and sit myself upright, beholding the afternoon sun. From the position the sun is in, it's either three or four. I sit there, my body marred, and I'm unable to go back to sleep to help pass the time, so I sit there bored out of my mind. I start thinking about random things, about the fucked up position I'm in, about how I could and would rather be dead if it wasn't for Avi. Just thinking of his name gives me a small twinge of hope that I'll get out of this mess. I huddle near the boxes and start crying over how much I miss him. Tears flood down my eyes as my mourning causes me to inhale deeply, causing my chest to hurt more. The cycle of crying over Avi and the pain in my ribs to continue until I pass out.

I open my eyes to see it's fully dark outside. I stand and limp my way up the stairs and sit there for who knows how long. The door opens and I turn so see Allison standing before me. It's the first time she's seen me since I left for Avi's, and the expression on her face is one of true horror. "Oh my God, Ian! What did they do to you!" she cried rather loudly. I sit there, moaning. She squats and tells me silently, "Don't worry help is on the way. Avi is gonna go to court against mom and dad for doing all the atrocious things to you. They have to act fast before mom and dad sends us to military school though." "When are they going to send us there?" I croaked. "Thursday," she reported. "They'll have to work fast before they send us off." Suddenly I saw my dad standing behind Allison, growling. I started trembling in fear at the sight of him. "Who'll have to work fast before we send you off? Would you like stay in here with this queer?" he catechized with hate erupting from him. "N-no," she stammered, and I could feel the dread in her voice. "Then go to your room now!" he barked. "And I don't ever want to see you around this faggot ever again, do you hear me?" "Y-yes sir," she replied quietly and glanced at me before running to her room.

He grabbed me by the neck and lifted me up. "And as for you," he started with anger bellowing from his voice, "If you try to leave and get back together with that other fag, then I will kill you." "Go ahead," I replied defiantly. "Do it, unless you're scared." I don't know what overcame me, but whatever it was was going to cause me a world of pain soon. I took one more bold move by spitting on his disgusting face. He scowled and noticed my hand unconsciously clenching the right side of my chest. He started grinning malevolently before removing my arm clutching my chest then throwing a punch so powerful it sent my flying down the stairs. I felt my ribs crack, and I started screaming violently while I was in the air. When I was finally on the ground, I saw my dad get a running start then jumping down, landing his elbow into my broken ribs. I felt the excruciating pain reach my brain, but instead of screaming I gasped with blood coming out of my mouth. I sat there, staring at my dad who had a smirk on his face before the pain caused my brain to shut down and me to go unconscious.

I felt something coming up my throat, and I threw up blood, causing me to wake up. I didn't bother moving any part of my body because everything hurt, so the blood just came back down on to my snout. I started wheezing for air as my broken ribs made breathing difficult. I know that if something is not done soon, I'll bleed out or I'll choke on my own. I struggle to move my lips into a grin, but I finally spread them into a smile. Just give it more time, and soon I can eternal rest from this wretched life. I can feel death's cold finger's brushing my fur, comforting as I'm about to make the transition from life to death. I'm giddy just thinking about it. I spot a school bus telling me that it's Wednesday, and that I've been out a few days. _Tomorrow is the day that they'll try to smuggle me to military school. Hopefully I'll be in death's grasp and on my way to the afterlife. The only regret I have is not spending more time with Avi. _

I begin to close my eyes to let death overtake me when suddenly I heard some commotion upstairs. The racket startled me and made the blood I was trying to suppress in my throat bubble forward, making me going into a vicious coughing fit. I saw two swat officers, both big built German shepherds, bust down the door followed by two paramedics, one a male Zebra with a medium build, and a female tiger with a small build who looked very similar to Avi's friend Vanessa, carrying a gurney. The swat officers lowered their MP5s while the paramedics placed me on the gurney. I was rasping to put more oxygen in my lungs while the paramedics rushed me out of the house. When I looked outside I saw a swat truck followed by five police cars with my parents in the backseat of one of them. I caught glimpses of my neighbors looking at me with abhorrence at how I could end up in such a miserable state. The blood started clogging my entire throat, preventing me from coughing anymore. I was placed in the ambulance and the feline paramedic stayed in the back with me, placing a tube in my mouth that was connected to an oxygen tank. She snaked it down my throat until I felt fresh air enter my lungs. I moved my eyes to look at her and she gazed into my hopeless eyes. "You'll be ok now they can't hurt you anymore," she said trying to comfort, but I still gazed into her eyes I saw pain infiltrate her eyes as she stared at the pitiful person staring at her. I turned my eyes back to the ceiling of the vehicle and waited until we reached the hospital.

When we finally got there I was wheeled out of the ambulance and into the emergency room. There I saw doctors rush to my side conversing with one another and the emergency responders filling them in on my condition. I went into this operating room and was placed on the operating table. I saw surgeons surrounding me, and one of them placed a mask over my muzzle before grabbing her tools. The gas did its job and within moments I was out. For the first time in days I finally had a dream, and Avi was in it. We just graduated college, and we were twenty-five. Both of us were wearing tuxes and standing in front of each other, holding hands as a priest stood before us. I was the happiest wolf to be alive at that moment, about get married to the most perfect wolf in the world. "Is there any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony? If so speak now or forever hold your peace," the priest said. I glanced to audience to see one figure standing up and realized it was my dad. Fear crept into my heart, remembering all the things he did to me a decade ago "I do," he said before revealing a pistol and squeezing the trigger. At first I didn't feel anything, but I looked down to see blood spilling out of my chest. The crowd was going absolutely berserk, and my dad released the magazine into my body until a group of people tackled him to the ground. I fell to the ground with blood leaking from all over my body. I thought it was over. I thought I was finally safe from him. Avi came over and held my in his arms crying my name. "A-avi," I stammered. "Shh don't speak Ian try to conserve your strength," he replied with tears going down his eyes like waterfalls. The dam behind my eyes broke and released a flood of tears in my eyes. "I-I love you Avi," I said before coming up to give him a final kiss. I felt all the life force drain from my body as I fell back down, exhaling one last time. As I was walking with death I looked back and the last I remembered was Avi pounding my chest, screaming my name at the top of his lungs, "IAN!"

I jumped awake at that startling dream, and saw that I was in hospital room; I looked around and saw the door number, 201, and a television on along with balloons, flowers, and cards. I looked down and saw that I was wearing a bandage across my chest along with a cast on my legs and one on my right arm. I turned to the other side of the room and saw that Avi was sitting over there, sleep. I smiled at how cute he looks sleeping. A feline nurse, a cougar from what I could tell walked in. "Glad to see that you're making a full recovery," she said softly, smiling. I saw Avi turning in his sleep before waking up. I smiled at him, and he was beaming at me. He walked over to the nurse and looked at me. "You look like bloody mess," he said jokingly. "If you wanted you could be the protagonist in a horror movie." "Ha ha very funny," I replied but I couldn't help but laughing. After we settled down I looked at the nurse. "I need a bath," I verbalized. "I feel disgusting and no doubt there is a rancid smell emitting from my body." "No problem," she said. "In fact, we were waiting for you to wake up so we could bathe you." "Could Avi bathe me?" I asked her. I saw her and Avi's face turn red before she replied, "I'm sorry but only employees and hospital personnel are allowed to administer baths to patients." "Please?" I begged. She looked down for a moment, thinking, before she answered, "Sure, but I'll have to supervise you two." Avi got a wheelchair while the nurse pulled out the IV, and Avi picked me up and placed me in the chair.

We rolled down to the baths and I stripped. Avi stripped as well and the nurse gave a surprised glance but didn't do anything. As we got in and he started bathing me he told me how he was in the same room and had the same nurse as I did. "Your crazy dad gave me a concussion that I'm still reeling from," he said rubbing his head. He went down to wash my sheath as I replied, "No shit he's crazy! He almost killed me because I'm attracted to guys. If that isn't crazy then I don't know what is." As he finished washing me he told me to wash him. It was so great having here next to me again, and I couldn't help it. I started kissing him and "washing" his crotch, pulling me into the water before the nurse ran and separated us. "I knew this was a bad idea. Luckily nobody else was here. Now come and get dressed you two," she said sternly. We couldn't help but beam brightly at her, and she let out a sigh. We dried off with Avi drying my off and helping me with my hospital gown. When he finished I kissed him on the cheek and we wheeled back to our room.

When we got there his parents and somebody else was there, a friend maybe? "Nice to see you recovering," Kevin expressed grinning, coming close to shake my hand. Natalie came over and had anguish written on every inch of her face. "Ian we were so worried about you, but it's nice to see you're doing better," she sighed in relief. The tall blue wolf walked over to me and stared at me. So you're the famous Ian that everyone has been talking about," he affirmed and then he extended his hand. "My name is Braxton and it a pleasure to meet you." I shook his hand and asked, "Who are you in relation to Avi?" He looked over at Avi, then back at me. "A friend," he answered, then changed the subject. "Feeling better?" he asked. "As long as I'm on this morphine I'll be absolutely fine," I said jokingly, but I still had my suspicions on this Braxton character. "Good," he voiced blissfully. "You go to trial against your parents in two days."
