The six of us enterred Ihop and waited for a couple minutes before being seated. We'd dropped by Seth's house, and Zane had joined us because he wanted to socialize, and ate breakfast at some time around six. This was his brunch. Then, on our way to my house, Xenon joined in, and said that we should go to Ihop, because, well, he's fuck ass rich and can pay for stuff like that.

We got to sit at the corner table, which I always prefered over other places in resteraunts. They were always more comfortable to me. The six of us managed to sit together, with X and Zane sitting at the corners, and us four crammed between them.

"So, what'd you guys do yesterday?" [X]

"I got screwed over and had to stay at home. I didn't even get to see any fire works." [Zane]

"Oh, that sucks." [Daniel]

"Yeah. So, aside from shoot off a million fire works that I didn't get to, what'd you guys do?"

"Not much, really." [Seth]

"Liar, we went to his cousin's house, who's dating Ted's cousin." [Me]

"Oh, cool. And then lit off a million fireworks." [Zane]

"Hey, you said aside from that, so..." [Ted]

"So you didn't do anything. Right. I hate this summer."

"Why?" [X]

"I broke my leg, got a terrible Fourth of July, and my aunt's getting divorced."

"Oh my god... I'm sorry." [Seth]

"For what? It's not like you did anything. I knew this was gonna happen anyways, they did too, it was just a matter of time, so it's pretty mutual. It just means I won't get to see my uncle when school starts."

"Oh..." [Daniel]

"Are you going back to Inferno High?" [Me]

"Yeah, aren't you?" [Zane]

"No, I get to go to public school this year!"

"Get to?" [X]

"You say that like it's a good thing." [Ted]

"It, it is. Isn't it?" [Me]

"No. Not at all. It is the worst thing to-... Oh god, hide me." Ted leaned back against the seat, hiding behind Daniel. I couldn't see what he was supposedly hiding from.

"Dude, what's up?" [X]

"So, you guys know how I got expelled because it was easier to remove the bullied kid instead of the bully?"

"Oh, and... that's him?" Daniel gestured to a pink and purple wolf walking in with what could've passed as his twin. He was holding hands with a tiger, and his twin was holding hands with a hyena. They were all guys.

"They bullied you? Dude, those guys just scream gay. I mean, at least we look straight." [X]

"What? Woah, that's... How the heck did Tanner and Marko hook up? I mean, I knew his bro was gay as fuck, but- oh god they're coming this way." Ted slunk back into his seat, pulling me closer to him to hide behind both me and Daniel. Obviously it didn't work, because when they walked by, the wolf and the tiger spotted us and noticed Ted.

"Woah, is that... Teddy? Little Teddy?" [The tiger]

Ted just stopped functioning. He got this horrified look on his face, and Daniel wasn't going to react well to this, "I'm sorry, what'd you say to him?"

The hyena and wolf holding hands just looked confused, and closer up I realized they must've been older, "Who's little Teddy?"

"The wimpiest of them all." [The younger wolf]

"I'm not a wimp." [Ted]

"Uh, we'll go to our table." The wolf and hyena walked off, leaving us with the two ass holes.

"Wow, looks like you finally found some friends, Teddy. You know, I'm pretty surprised." [The tiger]

"Stop picking on him before I break your arm." [Daniel]

"We're just playing around-" [The wolf]

"I know people like you, and I want them dead. Do you understand? When I see bullies, I want them to suffer more than their victims. Feeling their bones crack is pleasurable." Daniel clenched his fists, popping his knuckles in the process. Each, and every, knuckle.

"Who are you, his boyfriend?!" [The tiger]

"As a matter of fact, yes. And it's more important to me that he's protected, than me being punished for protecting him." [Daniel]

"Woah woah woah, we got a bad ass over here." [The wolf]

"Shut up, Tanner!" [Ted]

"Wait, as in Tanner Jamieson?" [X]

"No, why would think my last name was Jamieson?" [Tanner]

"It was just a joke..."

"And I'm going to explain it. See, a couple years ago, Tanner Jamieson called my boyfriend a fag. My boyfriend, was emotionally unstable, and this drove him to suicide. Tanner Jamieson, was in the hospital for two weeks, and the only reason he lived was because a bunch of guys kept me from killing him. Next time, no one's gonna stop me, and I'm beat the punk before Ted can commit suicide. Got it, pinky?" [Daniel]

"... Uh... nice boyfriend, Teddy." Tanner walked off, leaving the tiger there.

"What do you want?" [Ted]

"Ted, I... I just want to apologize-"

"Yeah, 'cause Daniel's gonna kill your boyfriend." [Me]

"No, I... I am sorry. The only reason I was picking on you in the first place is 'cause Titus was, and well... Heh heh..." He started laughing, a little... maniacally, and forced himself to stop, "Sorry... Heh heh... Let's just say Titus got what he deserved."

"Dude, you're insane." [Seth]

"Says the guy who's destined to kill himself." The tiger just turned around and walked off.

"Uh, what just happened?" [Zane]

"Did he just say you're destined to kill yourself?" [Me]

"Hey, I'm just as weirded out as you guys. I have no intent to do that. I mean, I have the cutest boyfriend in the world, I wouldn't do that to you." [Seth]

"Good." I cuddled up to him and kissed him on the cheek, then realized the waitress was here already. She was a young avian, with huge wings. I was never good with birds, but she had a black beak and a lot of gold and orange feathers. She was wearing the usual blue of Ihop and her nametag read Percephone.

"Good morning, I'll be your waitress this morning. Is there anything you'd like to drink?"

"Uh..." X looked around at us expectantly, and I realized I hadn't even opened my menu.

"Do you have hot chocolate?" [Me]

"Yes we do." [Percephone]

"Yeah, that sounds nice." [Seth]

"I'll take a sprite." [Zane]

"We'll have hot chocolate." [Daniel]

"I'll take have some coffee." [X]

"Okay, that it?"

"Yeah." [X]

"Okay, I'll be back in a couple minutes." She turned around and wandered off towards the kitchen.

"Since when do you drink coffee?" [Zane]

"I love coffee. I hated last year 'cause I couldn't have any coffee. It drove me insane." [X]

"And, hot chocolate? In the summer?" [Zane]

"Being kinda judgy, Zane." [Me]

"And, Sprite? With breakfast?" [Seth]

"Yeah, we're the normal ones here." [Daniel]

"We're also the majority." [Ted]

"Shut up." [Zane]

"So, how... how did you break your leg?" [X]

"Car accident. It's not a big deal, as long as my pain meds don't wear off."

"Oh, I know what that's like."

"Heh, I remember how you fell in love with Rick." [Seth]

"Yeah, and then we stopped caring about each other."

"Wait, what?" [Daniel]

"Yeah, they're not together any more." [Me]

"Oh, woah..." [Zane]

"Eh, it makes sense. See, contrary to Seth and Alex, Rick was actually there because his family was moving out of Amber Stone City. He lives up in Seattle now, I think." [X]

"But, long distance relationships work across skype." [Ted]

"No. They don't. And, anyways, we'd kinda stopped... loving each other. It was more of, we were still together because neither of us wanted to be the one to end it."

"Oh." [Zane]

Persephone came back, carrying a tray with six drinks on it and asked if we were ready to order. We said yes, and from then on breakfast went smoothly.
