Chapter 19: I'll Make You Want Me

Eno did not tie Lea's wrists behind her back again, as promised, but it didn't seem to matter. She felt just as helpless as before. Even though she could now smack his paws off if he touched her, she could not get away: there was no where to go! Except back toward the woods and the gravesite on the hill. She had tried this a few times only to be thrown over Eno's shoulder until finally, she could no longer see the woods in the distance. Hanging there helpless, she felt him give her buttocks a long, nasty slurp, and as they continued, he fingered her pussy lips idly. Lea had beaten him on his back, on the back of his head, screaming and screaming, but Eno only laughed at her, and she realized suddenly that he was letting her do these things because she would be nice and tired later when he wanted to rape her again. She sagged over his shoulder feeling utterly defeated and wondered what everyone was doing back in the village.

Were they already searching for her? What had happened to Zalia? Had Eno raped her? Oh, god, what if they both bore this monster's pup? She couldn't bear the very thought and squeezed her eyes shut, thinking of her father. Loryn would be so distraught and Kira too -- and Kilyan. What was Kilyan doing now? Had he even returned to the village yet? Did he even know she was gone?

They continued across the barren wasteland for hours, the hot sun beaming down on them. Sometimes Eno stopped under a withered tree and took a leak, Lea still hanging wretchedly over his shoulder. Sometimes she would lie and say she had to pee too, but she would then only leap up and flee, and Eno, loving all of it, would chase her down, finally grab her by the tail, and swing her over his shoulder again. One time he had even grabbed her around the neck with his arm, and dragging her down into the dirt and the gravel, he raped her. But it wasn't like that agonizing night just outside the wood. This time he was gentle and slow, grunting as he pushed himself deep inside of her, laughing at her stifled cries as she sought to ignore the pleasure, to look past it, but her pussy walls gushed against her straining -- just as they had that first time he took her in the woods -- and she hated herself when he left her limp and breathless in the dirt.

"You really are a tender little thing, getting wet so easily. And I just love how those big pussy lips cling to me," Eno told her after he had slung her over his shoulder.

She had let out an angry little scream and he slapped her buttocks lightly in response.

Now Lea hung limply over Eno's shoulder, planning her next move. It was folly to think she could escape him in broad daylight. Her only advantage was the night. There were plenty of places to run to and hide in the darkness, and once she was rid of him, he could never guess which of these dozens of little caves she had hidden herself in -- but the moon! The moon had been so large in the sky. If there were no clouds tonight she could not hope for such an advantage. But she had to try. She would die before she was married to Eno! She would die before this misery, this slavery became her life!

They continued on, and as dusk was streaming rosy fingers of light across the sky, Eno suddenly stopped in the long shadow of a craggy hill and gently laid Lea down. The hill curved over like a reaching claw, and Lea scrambled into the shade of it, drawing her knees up to her chest, glowering at Eno. She looked all around. There were more craggy hills and in the distance she saw very strange shapes. Great, tall pillars of stone standing ten, eleven, twelve feet in height. She could see even from here that strange symbols had been carved in them. They were very wide and they were smoothly round. There must've been three dozen of them, all standing in clusters, like trees.

"They're ancient memorial stones," said Eno, following Lea's curious gaze. "For the dead in the sun village. They scratch the symbols of great warriors on there when they've passed. My mother told me. It means we're getting close. Only a few more days of travel now." He was squatting with his knees wide open, pouring water from a canteen into his mouth. He offered some to Lea with lifted eyebrows, but she only sneered at him.

"Don't be stupid," Eno said, coming toward her. "If you don't drink water, you'll get dehydrated and you'll faint. And whether you're in a coma or awake, I'm still going to fuck you. And you're so determined to get away -- wouldn't being hydrated make you run faster?"

Lea viciously snatched the canteen and slobbered the water down, still glowering at Eno's cold black eyes.

"Honestly, Lea," said Eno, laughing when the canteen was hurled at his head. "If you're going escape me, you'd better start using that pretty little brain of yours. If you were smart, you'd be nice to me, and what happened back there on the cliff? It wouldn't happen again. I took you so brutally to punish you. You disobeyed me. And the next time you disobey me, I'll fuck you again just as brutally. But I don't mind you running from me. Hell, I even enjoy it: you have no idea how delicious you look fleeing me all breathless with your tits bouncing, those thighs quivering. And then dragging you down and fucking you so slowly, so deeply . . . God, this is more fun than I ever dreamed." He smiled widely at her and took a long drink from the canteen.

"Why are you doing this?" Lea demanded, startling even herself: it was the first time she'd really spoken to him since she'd begged him to leave her alone back in the woods. She had told him that she hated him all this time, but those words did not matter since they were just angry screams repeated whenever Lea caught her breath from sobbing.

Eno snapped the top back on the canteen, and Lea was surprised to find his black eyes dancing over her curiously. "Will you talk to me now?" he said, smiling. "I've been waiting for you to try it ever since I took the orange out of your mouth. I figured you'd sob and beg me to leave you alone, but I guess you're too proud for that now."

Damn straight, Lea thought, and her thoughts must've shown in her eyes, for Eno laughed at her.

"I already told you why I'm doing this. It's to teach your father a lesson. You're the most precious thing in the world to him, do you know that? And I could have lived with that, except he chose you over me." Eno's eyes glinted.

"God, what a pup! What a snot-nose brat you are!" Lea cried in disgust. "It's like I'm looking at a big five-year-old!" She suddenly kicked a cloud of dust and rocks in Eno's face, but Eno only shielded his face and laughed.

"Good god, look at you fire up!" he cried, his black eyes alight with glee. "You know, if you had turned out as meek as I thought you were, I don't think this would be half as fun."

"My father's going to find you," Lea said darkly, "and he's going to rip your dick off and shove it down your throat!"

"God, I hope so," Eno said, raising his eyebrows. "I've left a deliberate trail for your father, Lea. Why the hell do you think I left the sack and the orange back on the cliff? And we've been pissing at almost every goddamned tree. I'm not a simpleton: there's no way they can't track us. But if we keep moving, we'll make it to the sun village before they do. And who knows what will happen to you then? The sun village is a large village. I could sell you off to some wolf as his wife. Or sell you out: let other wolves pay me to fuck you. Or maybe if it suits me, I will kill you. I've never killed anyone before. Maybe I'll strangle you. Or drown you in a basin."

"And then what?" Lea snapped and hated herself when tears started to her eyes. "You'll just let my father impale you on his spear?"

Lea was shocked when Eno answered darkly, "Perhaps."

Perhaps! She didn't know what to say and she stared at him in astonishment. The sun was sinking lower in the sky, finally starting to disappear, and she could see the stars winking beyond Eno's brooding expression.

"It's getting dark now," Eno observed. "It's going to get cold. I can keep you warm. I will hold you, if you'll yield. If you don't yield to me, Lea, then you will suffer."

"I'd rather freeze to death!" Lea snapped, hugging herself and cringing away from him.

To her horror, Eno pulled out his dagger. She started kicking and swinging fiercely. He came toward her at an awkward crawl, the dagger held ready, dodging her blows and laughing when they hit him. But she was damned if she was going to sit here and be cut up by him! She managed to kick the dagger from his paw, and as he scrambling for it, she shot up and ran.

She didn't know what she was doing or where she was going at first, but then she remembered those weird stones in the distance. There they stood, towering in the moonlight, an entire litter of them that scattered endlessly toward the eastern horizon. She ran around the first one and it was eerie passing into this maze of stones, for they stood like silent watchers beneath the moonlight, observing everything that was happening with perfect indifference.

Lea ran on, trying to keep her breathing low when she heard Eno pounding after her, trying with all her might to listen above the beating of her heart. She could lose him easily here if only she could get far enough ahead! She pressed herself on faster, trying to ignore her heaving breasts, trying to ignore that dull soreness between her legs where Eno had taken her so slowly only hours before. She knew her tail was streaming out behind her, that every time she whipped around a stone, it was leading Eno on. She grabbed her tail angrily in her paw and kept going, zig-zagging now between the stones. After a while, she heard Eno's steps fading behind her, and very tired now, she stopped and leaned her back against a stone, panting softly to herself, her mane limp with sweat, her breasts heaving. Had she done it? Had she lost him? She smiled wearily to herself. Maybe she had! But then she heard that taunting voice some distance away. It paralyzed her there against the stone and her blood ran cold.

"Oh, Lea, little Lea!" Eno called, and his voice echoed through the stones. "Where are you, Lea? I wasn't going to cut you. Well . . . maybe a little."

Lea set her teeth. Bastard! Why hadn't she grabbed the dagger when she kicked it out of his paw? At least now she'd have a weapon! She squeezed her eyes shut. She felt so stupid.

"You really are a dumb little bitch," Eno went on, and Lea realized with a sinking heart that his steps in the gravel were drawing nearer, each one echoing in the stillness. She bit her lip and held back a whimper when he said, "You know, I can smell you, Lea. I don't have to hear you or see you to find you. I can smell your pussy. It has a sweet, wild sort of smell to it -- kind of like a flower or that fruit you were stupid enough to eat."

Lea ground her teeth. Should she just keep running? If he could smell her anyway, running seemed sort of pointless. But he had told her they were almost to the sun village! These stones were supposed to be only a few days' travel from it! Maybe if she kept running she'd meet another wolf who'd help her. But the prospect seemed highly unlikely. This was a barren wasteland. Wolves did not seem to linger here . . .

As Lea was leaning paralyzed against the stone, she was horrified to see Eno appear around the side and whisper, "Boo."

She darted around the stone without thinking, but he appeared on the other side. She screamed in anger, her mane tossing as she ran back the other way, but he was there, laughing at her, and suddenly he grabbed her by the mane and kicked her knees from under her. She dropped hard to her knees, letting out a choked cry, and she was forced down on her back. She lay there with her paws above her head, breathless, tears streaming down her face, glaring up at him.

Eno squatted down and pulled Lea's legs wide apart. So he was going to rape her? What else was new? She closed her eyes, miserably resigned now. There was no point in fighting him here, she realized, because there was no one here to help her. If she could just hold out until they reached the sun village . . .

"You really amaze me," Eno said. "Just the endless delights you give with all this running away, all this fighting me. And now I think I'll make you want me. Now I think I'll reward you."

Reward her? Before she had time to think on his words, she felt his fingers sliding into her sex. Oh, god! Oh, no -- She sobbed, she shuddered, trying to ignore what was happening. But his fingers felt so good, damn him. It was like he was gently massaging her soreness away. He traced his finger over the sore rim of her vagina, stroking and carefully caressing. Sometimes his other paw squeezed and massaged her thigh, and this was utterly delightful. She melted. And then his fingers ran deeply into her, slowly and skillfully awakening her until she felt that first rush of her juices gushing down over his fingers. She whimpered angrily and squeezed her thighs shut, but he pried them apart and kept caressing her. And then he was leaning down over her, and she felt that first wet suck on her nipple. Her nipples stood out and she blushed and she writhed and moaned, hating him, wishing she was dead, but the pleasure kept mounting. He sucked and pulled at her nipple, gently caressing it with his tongue, and then his fingers would rub lightly over her clit, massaging it until it was a swelling, aching knot of pleasure. And Lea felt herself sinking into the ground against her will, groaning before she could stop herself, felt her pussy walls contract and again admit their juices.

When Eno climbed on top of Lea, she was shuddering. He entered her very carefully, smiling when her eyes closed, when she arched her back, thrusting her breasts toward the sky and moaning. They were so gentle, his thrusts, and so deep, and she was so wet. She thought of Kilyan and imagined he was inside of her, that these were Kilyan's lips suckling so hungrily on her nipple, and her pleasure only doubled. She groaned, she trembled, she whispered words that Eno laughed to hear. And though she was sobbing that this was really Eno on top of her, she felt her juices gushing over him again. They gushed out of her, allowing Eno's cock deeper thrusts, and then she was pulled up in his lap and his big paws were on her buttocks, and he was pulling her up and down on his shaft -- slowly, deeply, hunching his back to get inside.

Lea's head fell back. She had never dreamed she could be penetrated so deeply, so delightfully. And she trembled angrily to think that this was Eno pleasing her, not Kilyan. This was Eno driving himself so sweetly, so deeply inside. This was Eno suckling tenderly at her nipples. This was Eno stroking her mane. This was Eno kissing her mouth! She broke down in sobs, even as she was coming, and she thought she felt him swelling within her hot sheath and she knew with horror that he was about to come inside of her again.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" whispered Eno when it was over. He draped Lea over his shoulder, who was weak with her passion, little sobs escaping her. She felt his big paw smooth down the back of her thigh and she trembled angrily again. Wasn't so bad! He had just raped her, no matter how good it had felt! He had just filled her with his seed! She cried harder.

"There, there," whispered Eno, and as he started away, Lea realized he was heading east through the stones, the direction she had run from him.

"I think we should keep going a little while longer so they don't catch up. I wonder who your father has with him. I wonder how many. I wonder if all of them will beat me."

Eno was speaking as if to himself, his paw absently smoothing over Lea's thigh.

Lea sagged over his shoulder, trying to still the furious throbbing between her legs. How could she feel aroused when at the same time she was so damn angry? She realized for the first time that she wasn't afraid of Eno anymore. Being around him, getting used to his voice, to his slaps, had desensitized her. And he was yet to use that stupid dagger on her. She had finally realized that he was only using it to frighten her, to control her. And she suddenly wasn't afraid anymore. She would fight him with everything she had when they got to the sun village, she would scream, she would bite, and maybe some male would take pity on her and help her -- though he didn't have to. Once a male captured a female from another village, she was his. And no one could stop the abductor except the husband and in rare occasions, the father. Oh, if only Loryn would catch up! If only he would save her! She thought of Kilyan so far from her reach and sobbed.

"There, there, Lea. Maybe you will go back to your village. Who knows? You're just a sad little pawn in my game. I'm almost sorry I had to use you like this. Almost. You know what I wish?"

Lea felt a rush of anger when he actually paused for her to ask what! "What the hell do I care!" she growled.

"I wish your father had just stayed with me," Eno answered, as casually as if Lea had showed the utmost interest. "I loved him," Eno whispered. "I loved Loryn. I had never loved anyone before -- except my mother, perhaps. But your father kissed me so deeply and looked me in the eyes and suddenly I knew . . ."

Lea squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to hear these things.

"I knew I loved him! I knew he had the will and the power to -- to give me what I yearned for. And I knew that wherever Loryn went, I would follow him throughout the world. He became my master. I did everything for him, everything he asked. And late at night, he would just hold me and kiss me so tenderly. No one had ever been so good to me. I was in heaven. I loved him so much. And I think the best part is, he loved me too!"

"If you really loved my father," said Lea through her teeth, "then you wouldn't have me on your shoulder like this! You wouldn't be r-raping me and smacking me! Humiliating me in this way! You wouldn't be hurting my father!"

"Is that so?" whispered Eno, and Lea was shocked to realize it was a sincere question.

"Yes!" she burst incredulously. "You don't know what love is, Eno! You think it's enjoying being smacked around by my father, but that's not love -- that's your childish need to be punished because your father never punished you!"

Lea was surprised yet again when Eno halted. Her heart pounded when he set her on her feet. They were standing in the shadow of one of the stones, but Eno's head cut into a beam of moonlight, and looking up into his face, Lea was shocked to see the tears of a child, shocked to see the strained look of agony there!

"What is love?" Eno whispered, staring in earnest down at Lea. "Tell me, please!"

Lea shook her head. "But how can you not know what love is? Your mother loved you! You told me so!"

"Did she?" Eno gazed past Lea as if he couldn't remember. "She didn't even care when they punished me in the village square --"

"Did you deserve it?" demanded Lea sharply.

Eno's black eyes darted all over the sky, as if he was searching for answers, as if he didn't know. His eyes finally settled on Lea's face again and he said with a trembling lip, "I only hurt you because your father hurt me. Not physically. I don't care about all that -- I actually enjoy it. But Loryn broke something in me that day he left me. I felt so . . . worthless. As if no one in the world loved me, as if no one wanted me. And . . . I wanted him to feel that pain, I wanted him to know what I felt . . ."

Lea saw Eno's paws ball into fists, saw his arms trembling as he spoke, and he bowed his head and whispered, "I'm sorry."

"So you can feel remorse!" Lea cried in amazement. "Well, if you're sorry, take me back!"

"No!" Eno growled with sudden menace, and Lea flinched, biting her lip and glowering at him.

Eno took her shoulders and whispered angrily, "Don't you see? There's no turning back now, do you understand? I can't undo what I've done. Understand? Don't ever ask me to take you back again or I'll slap you -- I'll s-slap you so hard your teeth will cut into your brain. Understand?" He shook her a little and she twisted out of his grasp, scowling.

"You're just a sick little boy," Lea whispered, shaking her head at him.

"Maybe," Eno said with a cracked smile. "Look at you," he whispered. "You look just like your father when you look at me like that. Those pitying black eyes -- only yours are mingled with disgust."

"Can you blame me?"

"No."

Without out another word, Eno lifted Lea over his shoulder again and started off.

Lea hung there, her mind racing with thoughts. Eno had just revealed his soul to her, and she realized for the first time how acutely lonely he was. He was just a lonely little boy, a sick little boy. And she thought to herself that Eno probably would have been sick whether his father loved him or not, whether Eloein had really abused him or not. Eno had probably been born this way, had probably inherited this madness. After all, why had the sorcerer been that way? Had Eloein's father abused him too? Lea didn't want to think about it anymore. She just knew she had to escape somehow. And maybe now that Eno had softened to her, maybe now he wouldn't hurt her if she tried again to escape. The slaps she could bear, but she couldn't take another brutal raping like the one on the cliff. She couldn't.

It seemed to Lea that Eno carried her for a long while before they finally came to the end of the forest of towering stones. He paused and sighed deeply, then stroking absently at Lea's thigh, he carried her on. Her eyes shifting around sleepily, Lea saw withered trees again, the same craggy hills and little caves. She shivered. It had indeed gotten cold. They had gone two nights without a fire now. This was miserable. And she hadn't eaten anything besides roots since that stupid strawberry he forced her to smash in her mouth with a slap.

A while of walking and the stones were behind them. Then Eno carried her to another craggy hill that hunched over again like a reaching claw. Only this one had a cave beneath its little jutting cliff. Eno ducked inside the cave with Lea on his shoulder, and she knew he was going to rest, probably nap for about an hour, then take off again. He had done the same thing nights before after he had raped her so brutally, after he had laughingly chased her and then declared her unable to escape. So she wasn't surprised when he set her near the back wall of the little cave and told her that if she was smart, she would sleep too. Then he went to the mouth of the cave and stretched himself across it: she couldn't have escaped without his knowing.

Little did Eno seem to realize that Lea had been sleeping on and off on his shoulder. Wide awake now, Lea stared at those furry gray legs blocking her only way out and wondered if she dared to try. Maybe if she let him sleep for a while and then tried it? But she needed a plan. Where could she run to? What would she do? Once she crept over his legs, she could run up on the hill and lay flat over the mouth of the cave. He would wake up and she would be gone and he would run looking for her, never dreaming she was hiding up on the hill! But what if he looked back at the hill and saw her white head as she struggled to press herself flat? Lea's brain struggled for alternatives, and as she was shifting her weight against the wall, she felt a little of it give away.

Lea froze. She thought Eno would surely have heard that, would surely spring up and glare at her, but he kept sleeping on his back. She twisted around to see what had happened. A little of the wall had indeed fallen away, revealing a small hole. An escape? Her heart pounding now, Lea started digging very carefully through the gravel, pausing to make sure Eno was still sleeping soundly before she started digging again. The hole opened wider and wider as she revealed it until at last she was looking at a small tunnel opening just large enough to admit her -- but not Eno! Thank god!

Lea started to enter the tunnel but heard movement behind her. Eno was awake! God, no, don't let him stop her! She scurried faster, wriggling to squeeze her hips inside after her, and she heard his voice asking her where the fuck she thought she was going. His paw snatched at her tail -- her stupid tail! Gritting her teeth, Lea yanked it free. She hurried on but felt Eno's paws fumbling for her feet, heard him cursing her. One of his paws clamped strong around her ankle. Resolute now, Lea swung her leg to the side, slamming Eno's paw hard against the rock. Eno screamed and withdrew, and Lea scurried on into the darkness.
