A short lived series

Eh, trying something different in writing. An actual story with background and character development. This was more of a 'spring of the moment' kind of writing while trying to finish my book.

Anyway, starting to move Sero from being such a weird scientist to a strange doctor at his own hospital. Inventions will still come, but I want to see more that something is done to do good rather than mischief.

Also, if you don't like blood and vomiting, might want to stay away.

Room 105

Patient File: Jenny

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

A white fuzzy hand shot out from the covers and slammed onto the alarm. A groan emitted from under the covers as a female bunny slowly woke up. She sighed and looked over at her calendar beside the alarm. There was a big red circle on the 18th, the big track and field competition. It was the biggest one of the year against their rival school, Miltenbury. The worse part was, she was her school's best bet in the pole vault.

Rolling out of bed and stretching, she had to get ready for school. Her mom worked early in the mornings, so she was at least alone to have the bathroom to herself.

She quickly threw on her t-shirt and a pair of short shorts, just barely meeting the school dress code, giving her breasts a bit of an adjustment in the mirror before padding to the bathroom. There she turned on the hot water to let it heat up.

She sighed as she looked at her face and the dark circles underneath her eyes. She hadn't been sleeping well because of the competition, and it was starting to show.

"Come on Jenny, you can do this." She slapped her cheeks gently and splashed the water against her face, washing it and drying before combing and styling her hair around her large ears. It was then she had a awkward feeling rush over her body. She ignored it at first, but then it came again, stronger. She dropped the brush and grabbed the edges of the sink with both hands, groaning. Her body began to feel like it was on fire, her paw pads sweating. She bit her lower lip before turning her head towards the sounds of something ripping. She stared down at the side of her thigh to see the shorts slowly starting to pull apart.

"W-what's-?" she stood up and gasped, her shirt was tightening and slowly riding up, revealing her white furred stomach. She whimpered as the feeling came again, the hardest yet. Her shorts began to tear and shred, her panties riding up as the front of her shirt ripped opened, revealing the front of her bra and growing breasts as the clasp in the back gave way, causing the undergarment to only be held up by the increase in size.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!" She cried out as her feet slid over the floor, before she doubled over. She suddenly felt sick and nauseous, the sudden rise in her throat making her quickly throw open the toilet seat and barf. She clutched her stomach as the growth seemed to stop, wiping the tears from her eyes.

That's when she noticed the blood.

Serophous yawned as he went through the Monday morning paperwork. It was one of the many things he hated to do. His hand was already starting to ache from putting his signature down, and he was still too tired to be reading this much.

"Melissa, can I get a cup of coffee please?" He held the button to his intercom.

"One second." Came a female voice. Sero flipped through several reports before a blurred figure appeared at the glass window of his door, opening it. In walked a busty tigress carrying a cup of coffee. And by busty, its meant that her breasts were beyond DDs, and more into FFs. Sero had actually helped her make them that large a few years ago while she worked for him. Apparently, she was embarrassed wanting them so large in the first place, but she was happy afterward and ignores the gawkers.

"Here you go. By the way, you have a scheduled call with the blood bank for the donation drive at two o'clock." She folded her arms under her bust and seemed to wait for something. Sero paid no attention and took a sip of the coffee, pulling back quickly and phewing.

"That's pretty hot." The collie looked up at her.

"That's because most of the machines in the break room are shorting out or breaking down! The ice machine spills water, the vending machines lock up or take money, and the coffee is overheated! I was afraid the water was going to catch on fire!" She threw her hands up into the air.

"Well, why hasn't anyone submitted a request form?"

"We did! TWICE!" She growled and stomped her foot down, her green eyes staring like daggers. Sero went through the papers on his desk.

"Ah! Here it is." He pulled the paper out.

"Dr. Aleixandre? You're needed in room 105 to meet with a patient." Another, younger, female voice came through the intercom.

"Can it wait?" Sero responded, feeling more like a trapped animal in a cage with a tiger.

"She vomited blood and...well, you'll have to see for yourself."

Sero looked up at Melissa and stood, grabbing his lab coat.

"Sorry. I'll sign it when I get back." He spoke quickly and rushed pass her through the door.

"She came in distraught and crying. I transferred her record files from her normal doctor's office and well, you'll understand." A calico cat nurse handed Sero a folder with a photo of a white bunny attached to it with her name and address. Sero nodded and knocked on the door before entering. He stopped briefly at the sight before him, but proceeded with the normal routine. With the patient table half buckling under her weight, Jenny sat there trying to not move, her head nearing the ceiling. She had apparently found some larger clothing to try and make herself look decent, but even they looked ready to burst any second on a twelve foot lapin.

"Jenny McKorchick?" Sero asked and pulled over his wheeled chair. The girl nodded.

"Says here you're five foot five, had a late growth spurt?" The collie chuckled at his joke. The girl's eyes began to tear up. "Sorry. Doctor humor. Now, try to tell me what happened." Sero clicked his pen and flipped to a blank page on her form.

"I was just getting ready for school, washing my face and combing my hair, when I had this extremely hot heat flash and just started growing! Then...then..." Her voice started to choke up as she tried to suppress the tears.

"You threw up blood." Sero finished. She nodded and quietly cried to herself. Sero patted her leg. "Don't worry. You came to the right place. I'm a specialist in these sorta things. We'll find out whats wrong with you." He smiled and stood up, opening a drawer and pulling out a syringe with a few empty vials.

"What's that for?" Jenny sniffed and wiped her eyes, twitching a bit nervously.

"Just need some blood to look at." Sero smiled and walked over to her arm with an extra large band. He tied it around her forearm and made sure it was tight, looking for a vein through the fur.

"You're gonna feel a slight prick..." He said after cleaning the area with an alcohol wipe and stuck the needle in. Slowly he let the vial fill before looking up, noticing her chest breathing increasing.

"Jenny, you okay?" He asked.

"The feeling. Its coming back!" She winced and groaned. Sero quickly removed the needle and stepped back as the lapin began to expand right before his eyes, the already too tight clothing starting to rip and burst, revealing her bare fur. Sero ran over to the phone.

"I need an IS pill, stat!" He yelled over it. Jenny seemed to stop growing just then, but her eyes shot wide open as he cheeks puffed out. She couldn't hold it and vomited blood against the wall.

"And I need a clean up..." He sighed.

Sero pressed the elevator button and wheeled the the wheelchair with a four foot Jenny into it as the doors opened. She had felt dizzy after vomiting and the sudden decrease in height made it impossible for her to stand.

"What was it that I took?" She groggily asked as Sero pressed the floor button.

"Immediate Shrinking Pill, IS Pill for short. Temporary, but good for letting furs with your condition to be transferred around in the hospital." He explained as the doors closed, the elevator heading downwards.

"What's wrong with me?" She leaned her head back to look up at him.

"I think you have some form of Macroism. An illness that varies from fur to fur."

"So you've had others like me?"

The collie gave a loud laugh.

"Many, though none that threw up blood."

"But I don't want to be a giant! I have a competition this Saturday!" She whimpered and buried her face into her hands.

"Don't worry. Macroism can be cured as well. In most cases." He muttered under his breath the last part as the elevator doors opened, Jenny gasping at the sight. The room before them was enormous, stretching farther than she could see. But what truly frightened and shocked her at the same time were the giant furs walking around in scrubs like up on the first floor.

"Lewis, I have a new patient here for you to look after." Sero spoke into a standing intercom with a sign underneath it saying, "Page for assistance. Please DO NOT go beyond this intercom."

"What is this place?" Jenny whispered up. As she did, the closest door on her left opened and out stepped the largest gray coyote she had ever seen. At least thirty feet tall and in a pair of blue scrubs no less, he made his way over to them, kneeling down. Jenny cringed back in her seat.

"What's the diagnosis?" He voice was soft, if not loud to the two.

"The info should be printing out for you now. She's about twenty-five feet at the moment, but still growing for some reason, so be prepared to adjust when necessary." Sero gently wheeled her into his open palm and stepped back.

"You're leaving me down here?" She quickly turned back to him.

"Don't worry. Lewis is one of the best nurses down here. He'll take good care of you. Besides, he won't look so big when the pill wears off." He patted her shoulder. "I'm going to go run to the lab to drop off the sample. Let me know if anything happens." He waved goodbye and headed back towards the elevator.

"Hang on miss. I'll try to go slow." The coyote began to gently stand, heading towards an open room.

"I never knew so many giants lived in the city." She gulped as they walked by other macros, some larger than Lewis, both nurses and patients.

"Oh, there are plenty up in the city. But thanks to this hospital, we're able to move about as normal furs." Lewis explained and sat her down in an empty room, much like her previous waiting room, except at a larger scale. He then began to look inside the closet.

"I thought Dr. Aleixandre said he could cure macroism." The bunny wobbly stood.

"Most cases are curable, about eighty percent. But some of us choose to remain this way."

"Why?"

"Because if I didn't, then I wouldn't be able to help other giants." He smiled and turned, laying a giant hospital gown on the bed. "That should fit you."

"Lewis...I-I feel warm..." Jenny suddenly stammered. The coyote quickly turned his back to her.

"The pill is wearing off. You might want to get out of that gown before you grow."

The bunny quickly began to undo the string and slip out of the gown as she began to enlarge.

"Whoa!" She gasped at the speed as she expanded, watching as everything started to "shrink" around her.

"Sorry, should've warned you about the speed of the return." He chuckled and waited, staring at the door. Jenny nodded as she began to close in on his height.

"Just let me know when you are dressed so I can take your vitals and set up your bed." He folded his arms across his chest.

"L-Lewis. There's a problem..." She whimpered.

"Those gowns can be a bit tricky. Don't worry. Just remember I am a trained professional." He laughed softly to himself and turned, only to come face to face with Jenny's stomach.

Sero whistled as he entered the laboratory, a white mouse who was busy looking at some blood cultures looked up from the microscope.

"Dr. Aleixandre, how are things?"

"Well, difficult Wilt. I need you to test this sample for me. If you need more, there's plenty upstairs in room 105. My patient likes to vomit blood." He sighed and handed over the vial.

"Sounds like my first male date." A female voice from the back spoke up.

"Could've been worse. Could've crapped all over your life." Sero raised his voice a bit. A brown otter also in a lab coat and small rimmed glasses appeared from behind some shelves. She carried a tray of samples and gave a glare to the collie as she sat them down.

"He was the reason I gave up on men."

"Oh, come on now Becky. We aren't all drunk, hormone raging beasts like he was." Wilt scoffed.

"You mean like Chris and how he called off today? Leaving us to get behind in work?"

"What happened to Chris?" Sero interjected.

"That bat apparently 'came down with something'." Becky held up her two fingers to quote for emphasis.

"Yeah. I found a few IS Pills missing this morning. He and his girlfriend are always doing kinky stuff." Wilt rolled his eyes. "Probably too sore to show up."

"I guess I forgot to add crooks." Becky began to look through the samples with her own microscope.

"If it makes you feel better Becky, I'll swear off men, too, from now on." The mouse snickered at his joke.

"You realize that means you have to swear off your right hand." She shot back.

"Uh guys, I have a patient that may hack up a lung soon." Sero tapped his finger on the table.

"Sorry sir. I'll run it through." Wilt took the vial.

"Treat it for any chemical imbalances related to macroism. It might be just an influx of hormones." As the collie spoke, the phone rang beside Becky.

"Hello?" She held the receiver against her ear and elbow, going back to the microscope. "Yeah, one second." She sighed disgustingly and handed it to Sero.

"Serophous speaking. Let me guess Lewis. Threw up grew and threw up blood? Really? That's strange. Okay, then move her to-ah, THEN she grew and threw up. Okay, okay, Monitor her and give her 1ul of Morphine for someone her size." Sero paused as he listened, his face going solemn. "What do you mean she went into cardiac arrest when she grew? Great. Check up on her every hour. I'll be down then." He slammed down the phone and sighed. "Wilt, I need you to get the medical history of both her parents. Look into their backgrounds to see if this is anything genetic."

"But we're already behind-"

"I'll send someone up to help. Now get to it!" Sero barked and started out the door.

"Dr. Serophous Aleixandre call 041. Dr. Serophous Aleixandre 041."

"Now what?" Sero snapped back up the phone and punched in the numbers.

"Hello?" Came the same voice that was over the speakers.

"What is it now?" Sero spoke sharply.

"Oh! Um..Jenny McKorchick's mother is here."

Sero sighed in the elevator and straightened his coat. He hated this part of the job the most. The worried mother and father distressing more than they should be, asking if their son or daughter were dying, what was wrong, etc, etc. But as the doors opened, the collie came face to face with Melissa.

"You missed the two o'clock call and still haven't signed the paper." She growled.

"Reschedule the call, I'll sign it later." He huffed and tried to brush past her.

"Its just a quick signature!" She held the paper up in his face and stood in the way. Sero grumbled and patted his pockets.

"No pen."

She stared at him, dumbfounded, then clenched her fist.

"You stay right here." She growled and jabbed his chest with a sharp claw, going into the elevator. Once the doors closed though, Sero shrugged and whistled, pulling out his favorite pen and twirling it on his way to the lobby.

"Mrs. McKorchick?" Sero asked a female white bunny in a business suite.

"Are you Dr. Aleixandre? Where's my daughter? How is she? What's wrong with her?" She dropped her brief case and grabbed the collie's shoulders.

"She's fine. I have her being looked over and taken care of. Can you please stop shaking me!" Sero growled and stepped back. The bunny removed her hands. "Look, lets go somewhere more private." He picked up her briefcase and led her to the conference room.

"Macroism? What the hell is that?" She blurted out.

"Its something that can come in the form of an illness or disease, even genetically. Has anyone in your family history been overly tall?" Sero sat back in the leather chair.

"What? No! We've always been a normal size. Are you trying to say my Jenny is some kind of giant?" Her eyes narrowed.

"That's usually what I mean when I say 'Macroism'." Sero felt his patience starting to go thin.

"This is absurd. There are no such things as giants. I demand to see my daughter." She slammed her hand on the desk. Sero stood, sending the chair wheeling back and almost hitting the wall.

"Alright, fine. But try to keep an open mind." Sero directed her out the door and to the elevator, heading back down to the Macro floor. As the doors opened, the business bunny went rigid and stared in shock at all the giants walking around.

"What did you do to us?" She barely spoke above a whisper.

"Nothing. They're just really big." Sero smirked and pressed the intercom. "Lewis. Jenny's mother is here. We need an escort to her room."

As the coyote came out and knelt, Jenny's mother glued herself to the back of the elevator.

"Its okay Mrs. McKorchick. None of my staff will hurt you." Sero grunted and peeled her off, sitting her on the giant's palm.

The coyote took them down to the furthest rooms, the doors getting larger and larger the longer they went. They finally came to a halt before one door left slightly open.

"One second." Lewis carefully used a finger to press a button on his watch a few times. Each tap showed the setting on the watch increasing by ten till it stopped at ninety. Mrs. McKorchick watched in fright as the coyote quickly began to expand around her, growing larger and larger as the pads underneath her slowly moved out beneath her.

"He-he j-just got b-b-b-b..."

"Bigger. Yes. Lewis's real size is just over three hundred feet, one of the largest I have working for me." Sero chuckled as Lewis blushed at the comment, entering the room.

Mrs. McKorchick gasped and covered her mouth in shock, tears welling up in her eyes at the sight of her one hundred foot daughter. Lewis gently sat them down on a table close to Jenny. Slowly, the giant bunny opened her eyes.

"Mom?"

"Oh God Jenny! What happened to you?" Her mother fell to her knees, sobbing.

"I'm okay mom." Jenny's voice was hoarse, but she gently moved a hand forward towards her mother. Lewis stepped in and stopped her.

"You're not use to your size Jen. Best not to handle anyone smaller than you." He cautioned. Jenny slowly nodded with her own tears forming at the corners of her eyes.

"Lewis, you can set me down now. I need to head back to my office for some information." Sero stuck his hands in his lab coat pockets and walked to the edge. "By the way, Mrs McKorchick, should we be expecting the father to be showing up soon?" Sero looked back at her.

"No, we were divorced before Jenny was born." She sniffed and stood, trying to recompose herself.

"No history of him being a giant?" Sero asked again. She shook her head. Sero nodded and hopped onto Lewis's awaiting hand, being taken outside and sat down on the floor.

"If she starts to grow again, put her on the liquid IS suspension to keep her at this size. I don't want to have to move her again." Sero began to head towards the other end of the hall, where there were less giants.

"Sir, I also want to tell you something else." Lewis bent to one knee and looked behind him to the door, but the bunnies weren't paying attention. "Blood didn't just come out her mouth the last growth spurt. It was a little, but there was some leaking from her ears and eyes."

"So it has to be some kind of internal bleeding from various sources, maybe even the brain. But...she would be dead if that was true." Sero put a finger to his chin and thought.

"I'll continue to take her vitals and update you if anything else happens."

"Good, and one more thing Lewis." Sero added as the coyote began to stand. "Find out who the father was for me."

Sero yawned and slumped back against the wooden wall panel of his personal elevator. He closed his eyes and thought about how that morning paperwork didn't seem so bad now. The doors finally opened and he walked forwards, entering a room that was built for a small giant. The collie pressed a button on his watch, switching the mode to 'off'. He made his way to his desk as he began to grow, his clothing stretching along with him, specifically made like the other clothing used for macros and micros in the hospital.

He stopped at twenty-two feet, grabbing a marker from the desk and going to a dry erase board. He wrote down what he knew so far. Blood vomit, unexplained growth, internal bleeding, and now bleeding from eyes and ears. He then made a note of the IS pills and how they seemed to affect her. Something had to be causing the growth in the first place, but what?

His phone rang, snapping him out of his train of thought.

"Hello?"

"Sir, we have the results of Jenny's blood work. It's all clean, mostly." Wilt's voice came through.

"Mostly?" Sero looked at his board.

"Well, there was a real high amount of adrenaline in her blood, almost tripled than what should've been there."

"But she wasn't bouncing off the walls when she was here," then it clicked. "So the extra energy must be fueling the growth."

"But what about the blood?" Wilt was met with silence as Sero's triumph disappeared.

"Thanks Wilt. Let me know if anything else turns up." He sighed.

"Sure, now what about that hel-" The mouse didn't get to finish as Sero hung up and bowed his head. He looked back up at the board over his glasses, thinking it over in his mind, before he picked up the phone again.

"Tex. Its Sero. I need a favor."

The next morning, Sero was in his office, filling a syringe from an unmarked bottle. Gently he injected it into his forearm, wincing from the burning sensation. Just as he finished, his office door opened, a tall and well built hyena walked in wearing a pilot's uniform, dropping a folder onto the desk.

"Was it as I expected?" Sero asked, looking through.

"See for yourself." The hyena sat back in a chair. Sero stopped after a few pages, and then nodded.

"Definitely didn't think of that. Thanks Tex." Sero closed the folder.

"I traced it as far as I could. You're database should be able to handle the rest." He nodded and stood.

"I'll run it myself. I should have a cure by tonight." Sero began to stand when suddenly his door flung open, banging against the wall with the glass almost about to shatter. There stood Melissa, heaving as her claws dug into the frame.

"You're not going anywhere till you sign this damn paper!" She snarled and stomped forward, Tex wisely backing away.

"Look, Melissa, calm down a bit. You look somewhat angry..." Sero gulped nervously.

"Angry? I'm overflowing with rage!" She roared and slammed the paper down on his desk, grabbing the collie's tie and forcing him down as he yelped. "Sign!"

Sero coughed and gacked, but something finally fell into place.

"Overflowing...that's it! You're a genius Melissa!" He quickly pulled out his pen from his pocket and signed, the bewildered tiger releasing him.

"What did I do?" She asked, but Sero was already out the door.

"So you've figured it out?" Lewis asked, walking beside an enlarged collie.

"Pretty much. How is she?" Sero sidestepped a smaller macro.

"The ISP is working. But blood is starting to come up when she coughs." Lewis handed him a clipboard.

"Figured. Prepare the macro operating room. We'll need it." He handed it back and entered Jenny's room, closing the door. Her mother jumped back in her seat at the size of the collie.

"You're one, too!"

"IGP, Instant Growth Pill. Faster to get here. But I shouldn't have to explain myself, you should."

"What are you talking about?" The bunny stood up, glaring.

"You were never divorced. You weren't even married. You went to a sperm bank and had artificial insemination done." Sero glared right back. Mrs. McKorchick made a small gasping noise as her jaw dropped.

"Mom? You were never married?" Jenny croaked, turning her head towards her mother.

"How dare you..." Mrs. McKorchick began to stomp forward.

"No, how dare you! You jeopardized you're daughters life with that lie. I would've figured this out yesterday if you had at least told me the truth and given me a name!" Sero growled down, causing the mother bunny to step back.

"Just tell me what's wrong with my daughter!" She shouted up, her voice cracking.

"She has a rare case of Plasmacroism, but treatable. I should've noticed it right away when despite losing so much blood, she never needed a blood transfer. She's throwing up blood because her body is over producing it during the growth process." Sero tried to stay calm, gripping the inside of his coat pocket. "When you're bones began to enlarge, the marrow starts to go into overproduction in creating new blood cells. That's why you went into cardiac arrest, you're heart was pumping too fast to deal with the new supply."

"So how are we fixing her?" Her mother almost looked back to her daughter, but looked down towards the floor instead.

"Luckily, we treated your, shall we say 'supplier' and helped him. She'll be heavy medicated the first week, but it'll eventually go down to one pill a day and a visit once a month. Right now, they're prepping the OR to drain excess blood from her stomach and lungs."

"I won't be able to go to the meet tomorrow, will I?" Jenny spoke up again.

"Sadly no. The heavy medications will get you back to normal size. We need to keep you here for observation." Sero picked up the clipboard at the end of her bed and began to write down the meds.

"Jenny, I'm so sorry for not telling you the truth." He mother sighed heavily after the awkward silence. "Jenny?"

Sero quickly looked up to see Jenny's head sideways, staring blanking at the wall, a small trickle of blood leaking from her mouth.

"Shit! She's drowning!" Sero dropped the board and slammed the emergency button on the wall.

"I need some help in here!"

"You okay?" Melissa asked as she slipped halfway in to Sero's office, the collie was bouncing a tennis ball against the wall and catching it in his hand, staring straightforward..

"That I almost lost a patient after just figuring out what's wrong with her? Yeah, fine." His voice was cold and monotone.

"I meant with you. I heard you took some growth pills." She walked in, putting a cup of coffee on his desk.

"It was only temporary, barely ten minutes," he continued to bounce the ball. "How is she?"

"She's recovering, but apparently won't talk to her mom."

"Can you blame her? Mom probably lied about her father being a good-for-nothing her whole life."

"Jenny wants to know who he is." Melissa quickly blurted out. Sero caught the ball in his hand, not bouncing it back this time.

"Tough. HIPPA says I can't release that information." Sero turned and sipped from the mug. Melissa nodded and turned, heading out.

"By the way. Becareful with those folders. Sometimes they don't hold the papers well enough and can fall out. Wouldn't want anyone getting a good view of something they aren't suppose to see." Sero smirked. Melissa nodded and smiled, walking out.

She didn't notice the second syringe in the trash.
