The Heart: A Battleground

The gardens this time of year on the forest moon of Endor always bloomed with grace and elegance; considering a grand majority of the world around each and every inhabiting Ewok was luscious, green forests.

Even the palace was in full bloom; yes, a palace! In the middle of a kingdom, a forest area was built, or rather, carved and slowly shaped into a civilized township - a lavish city of high-class, first rate citizens.

The palace was a gorgeous tree with the most fertile blossoms during the late springtime. With the body of a diamond oak and the leaves of a weeping willow, the palace tree stood proudly, her leaves dipping into the small ponds, shading the village like a large, sweetly scented umbrella. On earth, most would describe it as "The Tree of Life"; the Ewoks, teddy-bear-like creatures, called it simply, "home".

There was one, however, who decided that home was not where his heart was - his heart could always be found wandering the brush, looking for new plantlife and enjoying time outside the palace walls, or roots. Prince Lone, prince of the Diamond Willow kingdom, never truly felt at home until he saw him in the palace gardens, waving his tattered green cloak like the adorable menace he can be.

Lone's attire, regal and neat - needless to say, "Princely" was always well pressed and fastened from his belly to his chin by butlers every morning. Even his slacks to match were neatly pressed, pinned, and tailored fresh, daily, out of the finest of silks produced by royal silk worms found among the palace's leaves. Prince Lone truly fit his name within the castle's bark, as he could only sit in his throne, day after day, in the heart of the Diamond Willow, daydreaming of his dear, darling secret lover.

Whicket, the fellow with the green cloak, was rather strapping for someone of his class. His wit and funny nature would always be what drew Prince Lone to awaken in the morning. The very thought of seeing his prince every day made him brave enough to dare step into the gardens; the very thought of seeing his prince every day made him simply dare to wave his cloak, calling attention upon himself in order to meet the eyes of his beloved secret partner.

Secret? Yes - Prince Lone and common ol' Whicket lived a very secret lovelife. Homosexuality in the forest moon of Endor was not only considered abomination and sin, but was considered an absolute, unforgiveable evil; homosexual acts with a commoner, no less, would not only excommunicate someone from the kingdom, but was treated as treason and punishable by death.

Daily, Prince Lone lived two lives. One as a boring, regal prince with duties and casualites to carry on with, and a second - his favorite - a care-free, loving soul whose love only could be seen in his eyes as an abstract daze, allowing anyone the honor of seeing Prince Lone's true colors.

Whicket, however, was a bit rutheless - much like a little activist. He didn't care who saw, he didn't care when - nothing else existed whilst the two Ewoks were paw in paw, eyes to eyes, nose to nose.

Today would be one of those days Whicket got to see Prince Lone's true colors. Lone was not some prince to be feared. Lone was a prince, because he made Whicket feel like a king.

"How long do you think we can stay today?" Lone asks, sighing as he rests his head on Whicket's chest, listening to his heart beat against his ears.

"Truly? As long as you want to. Let's not speak of time right now..." says Whicket, resting his head on his left paw in the long, plush grass, his right paw stroking Lone gently on his right shoulder, slowly up and down his arm.

"Why not? Time is always around us."

"It runs out, Lone. With you, time is supposed to be forever, you know that. Now shush that maw of yours, you're scaring away the bees."

"You can't scare away bees!" Lone laughs, sitting up and looking into Whicket's shining brown eyes.

"You can so!" Whicket laughs, also sitting up, "Suppose you'd be covered in stingers, but they fly away eventually - suppose they get scared, too."

"You're making absolutely no sense," Lone giggles, pawing gently at Whicket's nose.

"Do they teach you nothing in that tree?" Whicket smiles, "It's poetry. Everything I said there? That was art. It'll be a painting someday. An Ewok scaring bees, covered in their stingers. It'll happen!"

"I'm sure it will, Sweetheart, I'm sure." Lone rolls his eyes and lays back down in the grass.

"Are you patronizing me, Little Bear?"

"Oh, no! Why on Endor would I do such a heinous thing? And to someone I love too dearly?!" Lone snickers, stifling a smile.

"Now, now!" Whicket says, getting to his knees and crawling around before Lone, "That is not so Princely of you! I suppose I should punish you, hm?" Whicket says, a sinister, playful grin streaking beneath his little nose.

"What... what're you doing?" Lone smiles, looking down at Whicket, getting closer to his feet, "W-what are... no! No, you promised!" Lone laughs, jerking his feet up.

Whicket grabs Lone's feet, trapping them in the headlock position, tickling his furry fingers across Lone's footpads, "This is what happens to naughty little princes! Say it!" Whicket giggles.

"Haha! No!" Lone laughs, twisting around to his belly, trying to escape, only to struggle and roll around.

"Say it! Say 'Whicket, I'm a silly little princey-pie' or I shan't let you go!" Whicket smiles, tickling a bit faster, yet softer.

"Alright! Whicket," Lone laughs, "I'm a s-silly little princey-pie!" Lone snorts, giggling harder. His foot is released and he rolls to his back, scrunching his knees to his chest as he rolls upward to a sitting position.

"I love that little snort!" Whicket coos, "It's so adorable, just like you."

"It can't be... I sound like a piglet."

"Piglets aren't cute?"

"Well...they are."

"Lone... you're very handsome and very adorable," Whicket smiles, crawling toward Lone's feet again, gentling pulling them onto his lap, "you're clean, you're fun, you're smart... classy, even."

Whicket begins gently massaging Lone's right foot with both paws, watching Lone's eyes grow heavy, "You're everything I could ever want. Even if you weren't royalty, Whicket... you're just... meant for me. I know it."

Lone's footpads are soft and smooth - well-groomed and plush. As Whicket presses his thumbs against them, he can feel _some_tenseness - must be stress - in the soles of his footpads.

As Whicket massages a bit firmer, Lone begins to moan gently, the relaxation taking over his entire being.

"Well, I'm not perfect, but I think you are, Whicket," Lone says, smiling, leaning backwards on his hands, "In fact, please..." Prince Lone takes his feet away from Whicket and leans forward to Whicket's feet, bringing them onto his lap.

Whicket's footpads are not well-groomed. They'd been walked on so much that callous had begun to take over most of the padding, but not in such a way that it seemed unhealthy. It only showed Lone that Whicket was hard-working and earned his keep.

Lone pressed his thumbs into Whicket's footpad on his left foot, feeling hard tendons tighten and loosen under his touch.

"Whicket, I've never said it before, but..." Lone says, looking closer at Whicket's feet, "I never realized how... earthy your feet are."

"Earthy?"

"Well, not dirty, but... earthy. I mean, I guess, you must walk a lot. These feet have always carried you to me and even helped you escape some pretty close calls." Prince Lone smiles and rubs a bit harder, "These feet are your feet... and they're hard-working feet."

"Are you worshipping my feet?" Whicket laughs softly, the massage relaxing him.

"I'm just saying... everything about you is perfect, Love. From your tattered little cloak all the way down to your... silly, earthy feet." Lone leans down and nuzzles his cheek across Whicket's toes, "I love you, every inch, toe, and claw. Maybe I am worshipping a little."

"Lone, honestly?" Whicket looks down at Lone, rubbing his feet and gently kissing across his toes, "I don't deserve that - you know I'm just some common..."

Lone interrupts, "Don't say that! The ground is very blessed to have you walking upon it. If anything, I'm the one who doesn't deserve such high-class attention."

Every little kiss Lone lays upon Whicket's feet sends butterflies aflutter in his tummy. To see his princely beau groveling and nearly worshipping at his feet made him feel a little uneasy, but also very in awe over the humbleness of his love.

"The sun's going down, you know," Whicket sighs, watching the pastel skies fade into warmer, shimmery hues.

"So it is," Prince Lone sighs, looking deeply into the eyes of his lover, crawling up over his body and resting his forehead against Whicket, nuzzling his nose against Whicket's, "I don't want to, but I suppose I'll have to go."

"Shall I walk you home?"

"No... it's best if they don't see us walking together," Lone says, his smile fading, "we're forbidden, didn't you know?"

"I know... but... sometimes, I don't care. If I have to be put to death for loving you... well," Whicket smiles, running a paw over Lone's left ear, "I can't think of a more beautiful way to leave this world."

Lone fastens his dress shirt and slacks properly, fixing them from their previously messy state from rhomping around and cuddling with Whicket, making absolutely sure that he looks regally presentable.

As he travels further and further away from his love, his heart grows wearier. In the distance, Prince Lone can see the canopy of his Diamond Willow palace - the largest tree in all of Endor.

Lone comes closer and closer to home - his dwelling, more so than a home - the closer he came, the further away from happiness he feels.

Lone has riches, plentiful foods, clothing made of the most natural, most delicate fabrics known to the Ewok kind, and even maids and butlers to wait on him paw and foot, but none of that made him the least bit happy.

Lone came to the bark of his palace, laying a paw on the soft, smooth bark of the Diamond Willow just as he could overhear his gardeners tending to the watering of the evening flowers - flowers that only bloomed close to sundown.

"His Majesty seems under the weather quite recently - curiously, for a long while now, don't you agree?" one of the butlers said to a maid assisting him.

"I do believe so," she replies, "perhaps he's heard of his arranged marriage?"

Lone had heard no such thing - but as he does just now, his heart falls into his stomach and despair claims his mind like a foggy cloud of dismay.

"Oh, no Miss!" the butler says, "King Edrick was to be the one to tell him. His father thought it best should it come from his own mouth."

"I see, then why, suppose, might he seem so depressed?" the maid says, leaning down to tend to a shimmering, slowly blooming bulb.

"Who am I to know why? I'm ordered to tend this garden and make his afternoon teas," the butler says, sighing, watering an adjacent patch, "not babysit him and make him feel better."

Prince Lone slowly disappeared behind the tree, leaning his back against the cool, smooth bark. Looking up into the slowly darkening, starry-dotted sky, he can only wish that what the servants were saying isn't true.

Soon, the sadness and worry are invaded by the unfamiliar feeling of rage, seething and burning through his veins. Lone clenches his paws and grits his teeth. No... I'm not letting anyone or anything come between us. Enough is quite enough!

Lone enters the palace and immediately comes to his father's grand hall, where the king, himself can be seen planning something with the servants.

"Yes, I do believe that looks much more elegant in that corner. The chandelier mustn't take the focus away from the mural, after all. They must complement each other in such a way..." King Edwick pauses his external thoughts, turning to see his son, angrily approaching.

"Father! We must speak at once!"

"Lone! What excellent timing - I have wonderful news," King Edwick says, his arms out wide for a warm embrace, "We've arranged for you to be..."

"Married?!" Lone scolds, "I've heard from the evening gardeners. Father, I cannot and will not participate in that!"

"Whatever do you mean? You knew very well you would have to marry a princess to keep our royal family afloat - if we can combine cities, we can..."

"No!" Lone scolds, pointing upwards at his father, "I won't! I won't be with someone I don't love all so you can build a larger kingdom!"

"Lone? What's gotten into you?" King Edwick gasps, two butlers coming to his sides, "You knew that this was the way of our family, our dynasty for centuries."

"I'm breaking that tradition. I can't marry someone I don't know or love. I... I have... someone I love."

The help in the room gasp lightly with surprise and adorned glee, smiling and exchanging looks across the room.

"Is that what this is about? Goodness, Lone, you've certainly scared me!" the king chuckles, crossing his arms over his chest like a proud, jolly father, "Tell me then, who is this young lady? Is she perhaps of nobility?"

"No... Father, you don't understand... uh..."

"Is she pretty? I do believe she must be - falling for a young prince like you!" Edwick chuckles again.

"Father, no... they're not a sh..."

"We must invite her over tomorrow for dinner! Keep decorating, staff!" the king smiles, turning his back to his son and smiling, pointing in all directions, telling the staff what goes where.

"F-Father..."he's a boy, Father... but he's the love of my life. I've... never loved anyone more than "him..."

"What's that, Lone?" the king asks, turning his head to Lone, "Couldn't quite hear you, Son."

"Nothing, Father... ah... g-goodnight. I feel rather... drained. Goodnight."

Lone lays awake in his bed, examining his surroundings. Though his bedchambers are lavish and his walls are covered in fine portraits, and though his surfaces in his room are covered in antique rarities, Lone feels as though he has nothing.

His oversized bed, large enough for another alongside him to have much room, feels lonely. The silken sheets and down pillows are nothing to him - not without his beloved Whicket by his side.

Outside his window, just over his balcony, Prince Lone can see a tuft of fur inching up over his railing. His heart jumps with excitement, and fear, when he sees Whicket climbing into his bedroom.

In a flash, Lone scrambles out of bed and to the balcony, swinging open his glass doors, "Whicket!" he hisses in the night, whispering to his love, "Whicket, what are you doing here?! You'll...we'll get caught!"

"I had to come and see you, is all. The night seems lonesome without you," Whicket says, stumbling over the railing, landing on his knees before Lone. Standing, he brushes off his burlap britches, snickering softly.

"The guards... they could catch you here, you know! You stupid Ewok!" Prince Lone tugs on Whicket's left ear and brings him close, resting his forehead upon his own, "Stupid, stupid indeed, but I... I love you."

"And I you, my prince," Whicket smiles.

"Don't call me that... it's because I'm a prince that... my father... expects me to bring a lady to dinner... to perhaps marry her."

Whicket's ears perk and he stands straight, taking his forehead off Lone's, "W-what... what're you going to do?"

"I'm... not sure. If I come clean, surely we'll both be put to death," Lone sighs, a tear falling down his cheek.

Whicket catches the tear and wipes it away, "But this is now. We're together. Let's enjoy this before morning comes."

Lone and Whicket snuggle closely together in Lone's oversized, over-plush bed. For once, the night hadn't seemed so cold and the natural scents of the Diamond Willow seemed ten times stronger.

Prince Lone inhaled the smell deeply; amidst the smell of wood and dew, Lone can swear that he smells fresh blossoms, freshly cut grass, perhaps some kind of fruit, and crisp, mountain-fresh air.

Everything for a moment was fresh and clean, finally, but what catches Lone off guard is another sudden scent - one rather close.

The sweet, musky aroma came from Whicket, who lay on his right side, snuggled beneath the down comforter, cuddled very close to Lone.

The scent rises and strengthens, tickling Lone's senses and making him wiggle his little bear-like nose.

"Lone? What're you doing? That's so cute," Whicket giggles. With every small movement he makes, even adjusting the covers wafts the musk into the air, forcing it to deeply penetrate each and every one of Lone's senses, causing him arousal.

"I'm just... uh..." Lone stammers, crossing his legs over, turning to his left to snuggle closer to Whicket, his erection accidentally springing free, poking Whicket in the stomach. "I... oh God, I...I'm sorry!" Lone whispers franticly.

"Sorry for that?" Whicket smiles, running his paw down Lone's arm, "Let's fix that... don't be sorry."

Lone breathes anxiously, watching as his beloved Whicket crawls to the foot of the bed, turning to face him. Raising a paw, Whicket gently yet firmly grasps Lone's shaft, his paw pads providing a plush, soft place to rest.

Whicket slowly drags his wrist upward toward Lone's tip - his heart flutters as Whicket drags his wrist back down, causing pleasure to wave throughout his entire body, making his heart race, overflowing with adrenaline.

"W-Whicket...I... mmgh!" Lone stammers, wincing at the sudden jolt of pleasure.

"Let me do this for you, my love. I... I need to show you how beautiful you are." Whicket stops stroking and gently crawls up Lone's body, nuzzling his cheek; breathing his hot breath across Lone's neck, he begins kissing, his teeth grazing Lone's fur occasionally.

Whicket's feet wander around Lone's groin, feeling and grazing, overall stroking against Lone's member while he moans in Lone's ear, his own erection growing, pressing hard against Lone's stomach.

"Oh...Whicket... I can't take it anymore. Please... make love to me!" Lone whispers, begging, almost groaning in agonizing suspense.

Whicket sits on his knees, raising Lone's legs into the air. Moving Lone's shaft and balls aside, Whicket slowly finds Lone's asshole. Looking Lone deeply in the eyes, Whicket gently presses the tip of his cock against Lone's anus.

Lone's eyes widen a bit as he bites his bottom lip. His cock begins to leak precum onto Whicket's fur. As his heart flutters, his cock pulsates. The harder Whicket presses, the faster his pulse races.

Whicket whispers lovingly to his prince, "I love you, so very much," as he slips his penis into Lone's anus, watching Lone close his eyes as his jaw opens.

He's inside me... he's really inside me! He feels so... right! He feels so...amazing! Lone releases a sigh of gratitude and comfort as he feels his lover fill him with all of his length. As Whicket begins to thrust softly and slowly, Lone grips his bed sheets.

"Oh, Whicket... mmgh, you feel so good..." Lone coos with lust, passion, and comfort.

"You feel even better, my love," Whicket smiles, leaning down and kissing Lone deeply, his tongue swirling around Lone's as he thrusts with rhythm, reaching between him and Lone, stroking Lone's cock a little more.

"Mmgh... agh, you're... spoiling me..."

"Nobody could... mgh, spoil you. You're... mgh... u-unspoiled perfection," Whicket moans softly with each thrust.

Lone leans up and kisses Whicket deeply, embracing him and holding him close, rocking along with him as he feels his stomach stirring.

Whicket's cock twitches inside Lone, grinding against the walls of his anus. Lone's heart flutters with every thrust, his ass gaping from Whicket's girth.

"Please... let me please you, Sweetheart," Lone moans, sitting up, causing Whicket to slowly pull out.

Lone gently pushes Whicket to his back, his erection thick, wet, and reddened. Without a single word, Lone sits on his knees, leaning down and licking Whicket's cock slowly, gently licking from Whicket's base to his tip, tasting the precum as it slowly drips down the protruding veins beneath the rock-hard flesh.

"Oh, what a surprise," Whicket smirks, looking at his lover with the deepest of bedroom eyes, "You really do know how to excite me, you know that?"

"I'll always do my best for you, my love," Lone smiles, looking down at the impressive length. Without hesitation, Lone takes Whicket's cock in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the shaft as she sucks gently, bobbing his head and stroking as he looks up with only his eyes, watching Whicket close his eyes and breathe heavily.

"God, Lone... that feels so good," Whicket whispers, starting to buck his hips slowly.

Lone sucks a bit harder, his hands wandering to Whicket's sides, caressing him gently and rubbing his thighs, as if trying to bring him closer, as he takes Whicket deeply into his throat. The salty drops of precum slip gently down Lone's throat, making him want more.

Lone sucks harder and faster as Whicket extends a paw to pet Lone between the ears, pressing his head downward, unable to relax his muscles.

The pleasure is too amazing, too romantic, yet not romantic enough. My love... oh God, my love... he's so amazing... he's... he's so... "Lone... Oh, Lone, I'm so glad we met... I'm so... grateful for you."

Lone looks up at Whicket, sucking gently, yet faster, his eyes shining with adoration for his lovely sweetheart's words. Reaching down between his knees, Lone begins to stroke himself, thrusting his hips and taking Whicket as deeply as he can.

"Jesus, Lone... mmgh, if you keep doing that...I... I'm going to cum!"

"Mhmm..." Lone says, a smirk on his face. He'll cum in my mouth... Whicket... Whicket will cum in my mouth! He'll be inside me... I'll bet he tastes so sweet.

Whicket tips his head back against the footboard of Lone's bed, his legs spreading further apart. Whicket begins squirming gently, feeling his orgasm build.

"Oh... God, I can't... I can't take it!" Whicket gasps, flinging himself upward, pinning Lone to his back and shoving his cock back into Lone's ass.

The thrusting is harder and faster. Whicket's breathing is intense - as if he had run a marathon.

Lone moans passionately as she strokes his cock faster, feeling his lover fill him with every inch of his length.

"God... I... I love you so much. I love you, Lone!" Whicket hisses with passion, slamming his cock deeply into Lone's ass, releasing his seed - filling his lover with his hot, sticky cum, still thrusting, slowly coming to a stop.

Still cumming a bit, Whicket assists his lover, stroking him hard and fast as Lone wriggles beneath him, breathing hard and panting.

"Whicket... I'm cumming! I'm gonna cum!" Lone grits his teeth and grunts, gripping his sheets as he sprays his hot cum all over Whicket's chest, some of it landing on his own belly.

The two lovers stare into each other's eyes, panting and breathing heavily.

Whicket leans down, pressing his chest against Lone's, pressing the cum into his fur as Lone's cum on his belly presses into Whicket's fur.

Lone parts his lips as he draws forward, pressing his lips firmly against Whicket's, embracing him in a long, passionate kiss. As Whicket falls to Lone's left, Lone scoots over to Whicket's chest and rests his head against his chest.

Whicket's heart is racing. Every thump and every smash against Whicket's ribcage was almost like morse-code, tapping out a love letter just for Lone.

"Your heartbeat is a gorgeous sound, Whicket. I never want to lose that sound."

"As is yours, my love. If I can't hear it, then I'm just too far away."

Lone snuggles deeply into his lover's arms, their legs tangled and entwined, grinding and caressing against one another. As Lone slides his feet down to Whicket's he imagines the earthiness again.

Lone pictures the plush footpads, callous and worn from his many years of travel and walking; not once has Whicket had some kind of pedicure treatment.

Lone smiles, giggling softly into Whicket's fur.

"What's so funny, then?" Whicket smiles.

"Your feet... they're just so..."

"Earthy?"

"Exactly."

"These feet... haha you really like 'em! But you know," Whicket smiles, snuggling as close as he can to his lover, his friend, his soulmate, "these feet may be worn and used up, callous and... haha 'earthy', but I'd walk on them for miles and miles for as long as it took to get back to you if we were ever separated."

"I'd never let us be separated, Love."

"Nor would I. That's why I'm going to tell your father that I love you."

Lone shot up in his bed, his eyes wide with fear, "No! You can't do that - we'll both be put to death."

"No. We're going to change the way this world sees other Ewoks like us. Our love for each other isn't poisonous, Lone. I've been more alive with you than I've ever been - don't tell me you don't feel the same way."

"Honey... I do, but the severity of..."

"Then run away with me. Come away with me from this oppressing world and let's start our own life together."

Lone's heart races as he feels his cheek fluff standing on end, "Whicket... I'm a prince. As much as I hate it, I need to stay here."

"Lone, come with me... I can't live a life that you don't exist in, and you're unhappy here. Please..." Whicket hops out of bed, coming over to Lone's side and lowering himself to one knee, "Your highness, Prince Lone of the Diamond Willow Township, my love and my soul, will you forever be with me - will you marry me?"

Lone's heart beats harder, his lungs pulsating, stifling a squeal of excitement. As Whicket stays put on the ground, on one single knee, holding Lone's paw in his own, Lone can only stare with his jaw hanging open.

The answer is quite obvious.

"Forever I am yours - take me away from here. I need something but you. Come... let's leave before the sun rises. I'm ready to begin our new life."
