Vesryn tries out a new spell on his friend and learns the importance of preparing a counter.

This is a request I wrote for San on FA. ^^ I don't have too much to say about this one. X3 Be sure to leave a comment if you like it.

Vesryn belongs to San

Psi belongs to BHawkes

"Alright Psi, I think I have everything worked out," Vesryn called from the living room. "Ready to give it a shot?"

"Yeah, just gimme a second," his friend responded.

The vibrant unicorn closed his worn spell tome and returned it to its rightful place, beneath the shortest leg of the coffee table. The couch sighed in relief as he hauled himself to his feet and stretched his arms over his head. The bottom-heavy equine locked his fingers together above his silver horn and pushed his palms to the sky, popping them in a flurry of small cracks. It was a chore digging through hundreds of pages to double check what had been perfectly recounted many times before, but Psi insisted upon it after the last mishap. Vesryn was reluctant to call such a lovely addition to the ferret's figure a mistake, but the mustelid was still quick to remind him of his error.

Vesryn turned just in time to catch Psi attempting to enter the room. The doorframe quietly groaned as the fantastically proportioned ferret struggled to pass without breaking something, be it him or the wall. Psi was significantly slimmer than his friend, save for his luscious ass and hips. In that regard he was the unicorn's equal, though his otherwise lithe figure accented his endowments. After a few seconds of quiet effort and shameless ogling, Psi managed to squeeze his rump through without compromising the building. Vesryn gave the blushing ferret an affectionate pat on the shoulder as he murmured something about needing wider doorways.

Psi paused as he took in the testing area Vesryn had set up, if it could be called that. It was little more than a hastily scrawled target on the wall with the surrounding furniture moved out of the way. The ferret would have asked about it, but the unicorn had already answered him. The pink-furred equine grinned as he placed a shiny red apple between his friend's ears.

"Perfect!" Vesryn exclaimed as he admired his handiwork.

Psi already knew where this was going, and if he was being honest with himself, wasn't thrilled with being in the line of fire. The last experiment may have turned out well when everything was said and done, but the ferret wasn't so eager to tempt fate again. "You sure you know what you're doing?"

The unicorn covered his mouth in mock insult. "Psi! I'm hurt that you think I would put you in danger!" He had a little trouble hiding the grin behind his hand, but he was at least able to keep his snickers down.

"Alright, alright," the ferret sighed with mirth. "I trust you. Go ahead an-"

Psi was interrupted as the overzealous unicorn blasted him square in the chest with a bolt of magic. It was times like this Vesryn was glad he knew his favorite spells well enough to cast them without words. The ferret's head tipped back in an open-mouthed gasp as raw energy surged through his softly furred form. His muscles seized as arcane currents danced upon his nerves, manually firing off his pleasure centers. The sensations only intensified as the spell truly began to take effect. He began to grow, but only just. Vesryn only noticed because he knew exactly what to look for, and a grin spread across his muzzle as he realized his flawless execution.

The mystical energies faded after a few all-encompassing seconds, and Psi collapsed onto his expansive backside as the echoes of raw bliss resonated in his legs. Fortunately he had more than enough padding to absorb the brunt of the fall. It was a few more seconds before he could speak coherently, and Vesryn couldn't help but give him a mischievous look as he babbled on his ass. The unicorn grabbed his friend beneath the arms and pulled him up into a supportive hug. His hands slipped down to Psi's rump, where he stole a few gropes before he could be told not to. The main event was just beginning, and if he concentrated enough, Vesryn could actually feel the ferret growing under his palms.

A bit too soon for the unicorn's liking, Psi managed to regain enough control of himself to gently push away from his affectionate friend. Part of him wanted to mad at Vesryn for tricking him, but at same time it had felt really, really good. Plus, the spell didn't seem to have any effect other than lighting him up, so it was probably alright. Still, he would have appreciated a little warning.

"You're lucky I like surprises," Psi said as he shook his head.

"I told you I knew what I was doing," Vesryn chuckled back.

Psi was about track down a mirror to make sure Vesryn hadn't changed his fur color or put tattoos all over his face, when something occurred to him. The room seemed to be smaller than he remembered, but what really tipped him off was his inability to squeeze back through the door. Before he could get close to half way through before brushing against the sides, but now he couldn't even get that far! His wobbling ass wedged into the doorframe a good couple of inches before his shoulders crossed the plane of the door.

The ferret let out a sigh, more upset with himself for not catching on than with the equine that caused it. "That was a growth spell, wasn't it?"

Vesryn quickly nodded, quite happy with himself. "Yep! Don't worry though, it'll ware off in a couple of minutes."

"Ves, I won't be able to get around in a few minutes. Heck, I already can't! Can you cancel the spell or something before things get more out of hand?"

The unicorn theatrically brought a hand to his chin and stroked an imaginary beard as he considered the question, but Psi's expression told him that now was not the time. "Sure, just let me find the counterspell."

Psi freed himself from the slowly tightening grip of the doorway as Vesryn retrieved his spell book from beneath the table. The ferret forced himself into the space next to the unicorn as he flipped through the yellowed pages, causing the couch to bow under their combined weight. "I thought you already had a counter memorized after last time," the mustelid piped up after a moment.

"It won't work for this one," Vesryn casually replied. "Each spell has a unique counter."

The ferret paused for a moment as he let that sink in. "Huh. So you're telling me that someone had to sit down and figure out a way to stop every single trick you've got in that book of fun?"

"Yep!"

"I bet things were a lot more simple back when you guys stuck to fireballs and lightning bolts."

"Probably, but the classics aren't nearly as fun."

Minutes passed as the unicorn scoured the tome for the exact page he needed. Psi continued to grow in the meantime, but now he could actually feel his body gaining mass. He was about to ask Vesryn to pick up the pace a little, but a splintering crack broke his train of thought. The couch sagged heavily as a key brace gave out under their mountainous asses and then broke completely. The pair dropped to the floor with a weighty thud that rattled the entire house. It was a struggle to pick themselves up until the armrests forcing their behinds together finally gave out.

After dusting himself off, Vesryn closed the book. "Couldn't find it, but don't think I need to anymore. It should have worn off by now."

Psi was helped up by the unicorn, but he did not share his friend's sentiments. "I'm not so sure. I think I can still feel my clothes getting tighter."

As if on cue, the ferret's shirt and shorts split and fluttered to the floor as he continued to grow. It was apparent that the spell hadn't worn off, and if anything it was gaining strength! Vesryn frantically flipped through his tome, and luckily found the counter he needed to end the rogue enchantment. Unfortunately, the page had been rendered nigh unreadable after months of improper care. He shrugged to Psi, and began reading out the counter as well as he could. The unicorn stumbled over a few particularly smudged words, which did not inspire confidence in the ferret. Still, it was the best shot they had at stopping his growth before more furniture was ruined.

As Vesryn recited the last line of the counter, Psi was hit with another burst of magic. It was not nearly as intense as the last bolt to hit him, but it was enough to leave him rosy-cheeked and panting. By now the ferret was about six inches taller and a little softer, but his ass had grown by a significant amount. He clearly had more junk in the trunk than the unicorn now! Vesryn didn't know whether to be proud of his work or jealous of the results, but before he could decide Psi's entire body began to tremble and wobble.

The floor groaned as the bottom-heavy ferret began to gain inches at a time. In a matter of seconds his ears were brushing against the ceiling and his rump had swollen to legendary proportions. Vesryn was shoved across the room along with a wave of furniture as Psi tested the limits of his friend's home. Walls creaked and rafters moaned as the tide of mustelid's body met physical resistance, but there was little that could be done to stop runaway magic like this. Had Vesryn been able to get back to his spell book, he might have been able to stop his friend's rampant expansion.

It wasn't long before Psi grew beyond the walls of the house and spilled into the streets. The roof of the former building sat between his ears as he rocketed into the night sky, adding a much more wobbly feature to the city's skyline. Vesryn couldn't help but look up and admire the fruits of this mishap. The ferret had an ass that you could literally build a house on, and that alone was more than worth the collateral damage. As much as he enjoyed the view, there was no telling when Psi's growth might end. The attempted counter had done more harm than good (if you choose to take that perspective), and two wrongs hardly ever make a right in magic.

As Psi continued to expand outward and upward, it be a question of if he would ever stop rather than when. Skyscrapers that rivaled him moments ago now barely rose to his hips, and his backside would have shaded half of the city had the sun been up. The ferret was terrified of what might find its way under his foot if he moved, so he stayed rooted in place for the relative safety of others. The sensations of growing so rapidly were admittedly enjoyable ones, but he had to hope that Vesryn was preparing something that would bring him back down to a semi-normal size.

When the top of his head broke through the atmosphere, Psi realized there was no stopping this. Even if a counter could be readied, he would still be at least two stories tall by the time the dust settled. His growth continued to quicken, and within seconds his upper body joined him in frigid space. His ass was continental at this point, large enough to cast a shadow over most of the sun-bathed half of the planet. His cheeks were positively tectonic and constantly quaked with every little burst of growth or tiny motion.

Psi looked down towards the world at his feet as and watched as it pulled away from him. The ferret lifted from the dusty surface as he surpassed the mass of the planet, forcing it and its moon into erratic orbits around him. One wild pass brought the globe across muzzle, and for a brief few seconds the twinkling of his eyes replaced the stars in the sky. His face spanned the horizons as he scanned the oceans and continents, taking in the beauty of his home before growing too large to appreciate it. It was enough to bring a tear to his eyes.

The ferret surged outwards faster and faster in every direction without sign of stopping. The planet soon became a pebble to him, and it was eventually lost against the perfectly dark backdrop of space. Entire solar systems were shoved from their galactic alignments as Psi overtook the nighttime sky. Heavenly bodies were but motes of dust as they were caught in his fur, adding their comparatively tiny masses to his ever-growing form. Entire nebulas and star clusters vanished against the expanse of his softly furred body. Galaxies soon met the same fate, and eventually entire superclusters.

Even with his ever-accelerating growth, it was still days before Psi began to test the boundaries of the universe. Only then did the spell encounter something that could hope to stop it, and surprisingly, the dimensional walls held! The ferret's growth finally came to an end as the fabric of space-time wrapped tightly around him, dressing him the clothing of the gods. Reality clung to his cosmic hips and ass, struggling to contain his endlessness. He had become a universe in himself, and in the process shaped it to fit his frame. Other realities looking in would find this one appealingly bottom-heavy, and would either regard it as a deity, or study it as a curiosity.
