An intro I wrote for a roleplay a while back. Never used.

The Lord's Estate

The marble walls are nestled far within the hedgerows of greenery. The corridor of which leads one to the entrance, a fine surface that is bordered by a white marble, the center of each piece grooved from the corners to a diamond within the center. This stone path leads to a large opening just around the front of the building's fine marble pillars that reach up to the second story. This opening has three paths, two that arch and follow around the outside of the house while one leads straight to the albescent steps and fine wooden door, through a beautiful display of summer blooms in their most colorful dance through the gentle breeze; Purples, blues and deep red seeming to be the primary colors while off along the edges waved yellow pedals.

From the casual greeting by the butler at the door, you can assume that it is not uncommon for visitors to enter the estate without their arrival being announced formally; but assumptions are dangerous. The floors shine immaculately, a fine porcelain statue just opposite of you in the large opening of a room you had entered, the figure a proud standing anthropomorphic dragon, his chest bare, showing the pearly scaled, powerful form of his chest while the blade he held in his left "paw" rested outwardly from his body, the other paw held down at the opposite side, empty and open. The dragon's maw hangs open, a silent yell or a warning to you, perhaps. His chest protrudes forward and the lower you travel down the scales of his form, you find the body undressed, the legs powerful and finely carved, showing off the muscles in such detail that it looked like it could have been a petrified figure. The genitals seemed to have had extra care in their crafting, a sheath and pair of orbs within the stony flesh just beneath. And as you reach the feet, you see just how crafted the artisan who made the structure is, each taken at a slight angle apart from one another to finish the battle-pose, each claw carved to the very tip, each crevice smooth and tended. The paws held a large claw on the back while there were only three large clawed digits.

While you were distracted looking over the statue the butler had moved from his place and returned perhaps noticed, but largely ignored. "The Lord speaks his condolences, but we are currently not accepting guests. I have been tasked with escorting you from the estate." His words were spoken in a gentleman's tone and the long eared hare, dressed in a fine black and white suit with bow tie smiles even when he catches your attention. You notice as he walks back to the door, his footfalls echo through the two story hall, a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, two arching stairs round around the captivating dragon sculpture. Two archways lead into rooms to either side and a door could be noticed just on the other side of the sculpture. As he opens the door, another set of pawsteps could be heard along the fine surface. If your attention wasn't drawn immediately at the sound, his voice followed.

The Lord

"Just a moment." It was deep, sincere, and confident all wrapped into a few words. The butler stopped his advance, closing the door and looking back to the center of the two stairs, where a small balcony was edged with a golden rail, and a new figure now stood in place above the dragon. The man stood in a suit that showed a nobility that was long lost in time. A fine blue suit, embroidered along the cuffs and trim with a fine golden thread, the pants clearly ironed with their smooth khaki look. His shirt was open, despite the buttons on either side, and in the center was a white undershirt, frilled with only a single layer at just under mid-chest. The undershirt held golden buttons that were on the right side, a chain lightly arched between each button and a look-alike to the left. The coat did enough to hide any sight of a possible belt somehow while managing to maintain the fine build of a body beneath. For his feet, and barely visible were a pair of black boots, the tops of which were covered by his navy trousers.

He stood with a small smile, his golden eyes gleaming in the chandelier's golden, crystallized light. The fur within the suit was black, and his ease of stature showed no sign of the ageless years he spent becoming a 'Lord'. His smile seemed to brighten as your eyes surveyed him, and he took a step forward, to stand just before the railing. "Samual, our guest shall be brought to dinner. No need to be rude." The butler gave a light bow, rising and smiling. "But of course my Lord." The wolven creature on the balcony gave a small nod, and it was towards you. "Now, Samual if you will be so kind as to give our guest a small tour, just be sure they make it to dinner in time." Again the butler responded with his light bow. "Most certainly, m'Lord." And almost as soon as you had met him, he disappeared, turning around slowly from the balcony, but not before it could be noticed that his eyes gave you the same examination as your eyes had given. With the Lord's pawfalls fading from the hall, Samual turned back to you, still an expression that seemed to hold nothing but that pleasant smile and uplifting thoughts. "Now, if you will just follow me." He spoke and began to the left of the entrance.

The Rooms and Layout

Samual's tour began in the coat room, a large open room that held all sorts of coats on hangers, most of them identical, and at the end of the room was a closed wardrobe. "This is where the coats are stored, now, if I may..." He spoke before his paw rose and spun around pointing to the ground, hoping for you to turn around before he would gently take the coat from your shoulders, a large open area near the door was where he would hang the coat from a hanger he produced from a small cabinet just above the rack. After your coat was removed he smiled and nodded to the only entrance to the door. When you both had reentered the hall, he took a deep breath before looking up to the balcony. "This is the Greeting Hall. Upstairs you will find the bedrooms of the estate." He smiled before looking to you and nodding. "Now, please follow me." He spoke before walking to the archway on the right, it taking a turn to the left upon entering, the hall large, with two doors on the right side and another archway at the very end on the left. "These are the bathing rooms. Not to be confused with the restrooms. Each door is labeled per gender." He said, before leading you onward to the archway at the end of the hall.

Exiting the hallway, you find yourself in another, though the lights became slightly dimmer the further you continued down the hall until about half-intensity as the other hall. At this point an archway on the ride side opened up. Samual stopped, turning to you with a smile. "If you continue down this hall, you will find the rest rooms, and through here..." He spoke, before entering another, much larger hall. "This is our Festivities Hall."

The room that you stepped into was also dimly lit, a crimson hue the main theme. There were several tables on either side of a long red silken carpet that led to a far smaller table on a raised platform. Large dark pillars along the edges of the rooms were dressed with long, deep red flags and upon each of the tables candles flickered in the air's influence. Samual smiled as he waved you in further, before he would start walking along the long carpet. The light and dimness of the large hall created a dark presence, but it seemed to be uplifted by the appearance of several furs, dressed in similar suits as Samual's, coming from either side of the raised table, each carrying silver platters, dressing the table with them. As they left from the doors opposite of their entrance, the ground under your feet began to rise. Or so it seemed as each of the large tables on either side of you suddenly began to fall into the ground, being eaten by openings that surely hadn't existed before, and when they had all vanished, the floor "closed" over them.

Samual gave you a moment to watch before nodding. "There had been a party planned for this night, but something went awry and the Lord called it off at the last moment." He spoke, explaining the disappearing tables it would seem. About that time the lights brightened, illuminating the hall in a yellow light, the drapery that had once been red now a bright white, embroidering a dragon on his back legs lashing at the air in angry fury dressed in golden lace. The table Samual led you to held no guests, and the Lord was not there yet either. The chairs on either side were ornate, yet it was clear where the Lord sat. The end chair was nearly a throne in it's size and decoration. Samual smiled before pulling a chair directly to the right of this chair, and when you were seated, he slowly pushed you in, before moving to the left of the end chair, standing upright. The pawfalls that followed were many, and not just one's. A small group of people dressed much as Samual approached, most of whom were male, however two females stood-out among the group, dressed in a manner similar to the popular "French Maid" attire, however their skirts were far longer.

"The Servants"

In total there were eight including Samual. Each of the seven new-comers took a moment to look you over, before they stood to the left of their chairs, on either side of the table. The one closest to you, smiled as he looked down to you, a male feline of grey fur. "G'evening. I hope you are enjoying your evening hence-far. You may call me Jacobs." He spoke, before his attention rose from you and to the right, to the next to your right. The female hadn't seemed to care much about you, but when Jacobs' attention came to her, she blinked before speaking up suddenly. "Oh! Yes, welcome. I am Sarah." the orange feline spoke.

They continued down along the line; "Kalin." a male marsupial, "Been so long since I've seen someone like you, name's Jewl." a female chocolate hare. "Ralph, pleased to meet you." a rather large bull. "Quince." Another male feline spoke, before sliding up his oval glasses on his nose with an irritated groan. "Kyle, and I think that you will enjoy our Lord." A black male anthro snake. With each of them introduced, they all smiled, except Sarah, who seemed distant. It wasn't long before the single powerful pawfalls of the Lord were heard behind them.

"Now, let us feast." He spoke, and after Samual had pulled his chair out and pushed him back in, each of the others reached onto the table and removed the lid of a platter, revealing all sorts of savory meals, from prime ribs to smoked salmon, with all sorts of salads and sides in between. The aroma that filled the air was thick and savory and the Lord gave a small nod in satisfaction before he turned his head over to look to you. "Now," he spoke before his paw reached to the side of the table, taking your paw and kissing the back of which lightly. "Forgive my rudeness, I am Lord Vledix, what may I call you?"
