A Special Present for a Special Father
I hope you enjoy my story I wrote for icesunrise77's birthday. His character is the black dragon I'm the white tiger. A little background info that you need to know is this comes from our rps. His characters is the adoptive father of mine. As for the use of love, it's meant as the love between a father and son. Constructive criticism is welcomed as this is my first story I have written.
"What a beautiful day" said the white tiger as he stretched and got out of bed. He went over to his closet in his room and pulled out a pair of boxers and shorts quickly putting them on. The well-toned tiger with silky fur stretches and scratches his chest a bit as he walks out of his room going to his Dad's room he sneaks in like a feline stalking its prey.
"HEY! I know you just snuck in my room Ryan." A black dragon grins as he rolls onto his side to face the tiger. He continues, "Did I ruin your fun son?"
The tiger nods and pounces on top of him pulling him into a hug. "Yes you did, but not all of it. You want to see my birthday present Sun?"
The black dragon nodded as he got out from underneath the tiger and pushes the blankest on his bed back and stood up revealing a slim muscled body, shining black scales, tall and to top it all off wonderful purple eyes. He stretches a bit and flaps his wings a couple times getting rid of the sleepy feeling in his body's outer extremities. "You bet I am Ry."
Ryan grins and runs out of Sun's room. In excitement he shouts "Hurry up Dad it's a long flight"
The dragon, feeling rather fatherly, runs after the tiger passing him up and goes outside into the bright and shiny day, a few whispy clouds blow around in the blue sky inviting the sun to play hide and seek with the ground below.
"Now who's the slow one," laughed Sun.
The tiger chuckles and sticks his tongue out at the dragon as his wings appear on his back and he shoots off into the sky with a grin headed for the valley they visited and have flown over before. Sun follows behind him with a big smile flying with his son. Eventually they reach the area after flying over a few forests and lakes passing by a river with a beautifully design bridge with traffic flowing on it like blood through the veins of their bodies. The tiger banks to the right and lands in the town center the black dragon landing next to him. Anthros of various species and sizes look at them surprised before eventually getting back to what they were doing.
Ryan chuckles and says, "hey Dad I think a lot of them were staring at you just dumbfounded by your good looks."
Sun flexes a bit for a few girls and guys getting whistles and cheers as he laughs a bit, "nah they were looking at you and your stunning fur."
The tiger blushes brightly under his white fur a few look at him a bit while he walks with Sun down the street of the main thoroughfare of the small farm town. They look at the different shops people own. Including a pastry specialty shop that had a few interesting cakes in the front window. The tiger and dragon cross the street and enter a small sandwich shop with a smile they both go up to the clerk. Sun places his order first
"Hello, could I get a Cajun chicken sandwich with some jalapeﾃδｱo peppers and red chili sauce."
"Sure," the female canine clerk responded with a bright smile and friendly voice as she started to make the sandwich.
The tiger waits his turn before he orders as well while smiling at the clerks tone. "How are you today? We're just stopping by to get some food. I'm taking my Dad somewhere special for his birthday"
"Oh it's his birthday? Well I will just see about throwing in a couple free fresh baked cookies with your order. I'm doing fine thank you very much. Now what can I get for you?" the dog replied in an even more pleasant voice than before.
"um...hmm....could I get a chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich with lettuce, pickles and some honey mustard?" Ryan said while licking his lips.
As she made the sandwich she smiled and then rang up the price of the meal throwing in a couple chocolate chip cookies for free. The tiger pulled out his wallet and paid for the meal. Both waved to the female clerk and walked out of the store and took to the sky, once more. With Ryan leading the way to a surprise spot he found while flying around the valley. After another 5 minutes of flying and admiring the view the tiger spotted his lookout point. He dove down landing on the small rock out cropping that protruded from the mountain forming a sturdy ledge. Sun landing next to him shortly, turning around with a whistle seeing that from here they had a perfect view of the valley, the farms and the town below.
The cliff itself had a few small trees that one could rest under to get out of the sun. It also had a space on the smooth flat rock to lie down and sunbathe. Behind the rock and trees a cave was situated. It was rather large and the joke the tiger had formed in his mind was that a feral dragon used to live there. With a content sigh the tiger sat under one of the small trees motioning for his dad to come over and sit next to him.
They both took their sandwiches out and started to eat looking over the valley at the beautiful and breathe taking sight. The sun baring down on them, but not in a hot manner just a warm kind of way that made you feel all fuzzy and want to lie in it all day. As they ate the day slowed down, bigger puffy clouds moved in adding to the already scenic display of nature around them.
They finished eating a few moments later. The tiger smiled as he crawled into Sun's lap the dragon having permitted it. He wrapped his arms around his son holding him in a comforting hug rocking side to side gently. This caused the tiger to purr loudly in happiness and comfort. His eyes close just taking in the sounds now. He rests against Sun's muscled chest, and well toned stomach. The dragon smiling as he cuddles his son.
A slight breeze kicks up adding to the tranquility of the spot they are at. The gentle wind causes the dragons hair to ruffle lightly while it also causes the tiger's silky, well-kept fur, to wave like grain in a wheat field. Also the father and son can hear birds chirping, little animals scurrying about enjoying the day just as much as they are.
"This is gorgeous view...just like you Ry..." said Sun in a gentle voice.
"Thanks Dad you look twice as good as this view," the tiger said in a loving tone while blushing deeply.
"Thanks son," the black dragon said with a smile.
"Happy birthday dad I hope you love this present just as much as I love you," the tiger said as he purred.
"Thank you Ryan this is a great present... I love you too."
A few minutes later the tiger crawls out of the dragons lap and lies on his back on the smooth flat rock. He sprawls out, purring, and sun bathing himself like a solar panel charging up a large amount of energy. Ryan makes a cute face and turns his head to the left to look at Sun.
"Hey dad do you think this could be our little secret spot?" The tiger said his bright blue eyes shining brighter with happiness, hope, admiration and love.
The dragon walks over and lies down next to him, resting his head on his arms. "Sure son I would love for this to be our secret spot."
The tiger smiles and rolls onto his left side, wrapping his right arm over Sun's chest, as he rests his head on the black scaled shoulder purring again. The dragon chuckles and sighs contentedly happy to be with his son. A tiger that at first seemed out of place but sure enough grew on him, becoming closer than the tiger ever had with his blood father. About ten minutes later the tiger fell into a deep sleep as his father watched over him knowing exactly what he was dreaming about.
After laying there with Ryan for a little while, Sun picked him up in his arms and teleported, back to the house in the suburban neighborhood they lived in, using magic. He walked up to the tiger's bedroom and opened the door setting the tiger down in his bed, tucking him in. With a light kiss on the forehead of his son he walked out of the room quietly closing the door. He is embraced by Runo and Hinori, that are also Sun's sons, who are ready to show Sun their presents for his birthday.
