(Cup Six)

Rushing up to the hospital, the serval was panting having ran the whole way from the school to the hospital. "Don't worry Erin I'm here." She said as she rushed through the door and past the front desk, not paying any mind to the receptionist that called out to her, just making it to the elevator and hitting the up button. Once the elevator made it to the floor Erin's room was on she slipped out and rushed down the hallway and to her room, barging right into the room greeted to the sight of the wolfcat doctor, Ruth, Chad and Casey, a mix of relief and a bit of worry peppering their muzzles.

"Well look who it is." Shanoa said as she watched the serval walking in the door. "You came in at the right moment. I was just telling everyone the news." She said as she watched her walking over to a chair and sitting down. "Ok, other than being tired and right out of it for today.....maybe tomorrow, she is going to be fine. Though, I am going to be looking into other ways of helping her with the pain and managing it. I'm sure that she didn't do this intentionally."

"Thank God." The older bat said smiling warmly as she looked over to her daughter who was kinda paying attention.

"You gave us a hell of a scare there girl." Chad said leaning over putting his hand on her, giving it a little squeeze. "You can't be doing stuff like that." He said with a little snicker, that turned into a giggle when he saw his sister poking her tongue out at him.

"Yeah, I think that you gave Cassandra there the biggest scare out of all of us." Ruth said as she glanced over to the cat that was sitting next to Erin's bed, her hands holding the groggy bats.

Turning her head to look over to the kitten that was next to her, she managed a sleepy smile. "I'm sorry." She mumbled. "I didn't mean to."

"Don't worry about it." Cassandra said as she leaned in and carefully wrapped her arms around her friend and hugged her, lingering a little before pulling back and going back to just holding her hand. "You're ok now and that is all that matters to all of us."

"Well I'm sure that all of you want a little time together, so I will make my exit." Shanoa said as she turned and walked to the door. "Oh and if everything goes well she will be able to get out of here in a day or two." She said before slipping out of the room and on to her other business.

"I'm sorry you guys." Erin said smiling sleepily at everyone. "I didn't think that I was taking that much." She said yawning, holding onto her lover's hand.

"Don't worry about it, we know that you didn't do it on purpose." Ruth said smiling as she reached out and put her hand on her daughter's.

"You're safe now, and that's all that matters." Chad said softly putting his hand on her shoulder. "I think that we should go out and get something to eat. "Cassandra, want to stay here with sleepy butt?"

"I will." The serval said smiling and nodding as she watched the two getting their coats and heading for the door. It didn't take to long for the two to get out of the room and for the serval to climb into the bed and snuggle up with the bat.

Erin might have been out of it, but she could tell that there was something up with the serval that was snuggled up to her. The two stayed snuggled up to one another, just enjoying the moment together, the serval happy that her friend and lover was ok.

"Cass......Sweetie." Erin said turning her head to look over to her lover. "Is......I think......I think that there is something that we need to talk about."

"What....." Cassandra said softly looking her friend in the eyes. "Is something wrong, do you need something?"

"No." The bat said softly and sleepily. "I think that we need....to talk about us." She said letting out a little yawn. "I.......I.....want." Erin stopped, thinking of just how she wanted to say it. "I want us to be more."

"What do you mean?" The serval asked, a little confused. "More....like....better friends?"

"Something like that." She said smiling a little. "More like.....mates....I'm sure that you can feel it....I'm sure that you feel it too.....I mean you haven't left my side since I woke up."

"I." Was all that the serval was able to get out, blushing dark, smiling from ear to ear she wrapped her arms around the bat. "Yes.....I would love to."

The two spent the rest of the time alone that they had with one another, talking a little and suggled up, but soon the door to the room squeaked open and the mother and brother bat walked into the room, smiling at the sight of the two asleep on the bed.

"You know, they make a cute pair." Ruth said smiling as she walked up and softly started nudging the sleeping cat. "Hey sweetie."

"Hmmmm?" She mewled out as she slowly opened her eyes and blushed a bit as she saw the mother bat standing there.

"Sorry to wake you up, but I brought some food." Ruth said setting bag on the small table by the bed.

"You two are too cute together." Chad said with a little snicker as he walked over to a seat and flopped into it. "So when are you going to make it an official thing?"

"Done did." Erin said opening her eyes, sitting up a little. "You missed it.....there was fireworks and all that." She said with a little snicker.

"Erin.....you sound like you're kinda stoned." Chad said shaking his head a little. "That and you're a little bit of a dork."

"With all the meds and shit....yeah...I feel like it." Erin said rolling her eyes before letting out a yawn. "So did you and your mousetrap get your panties unwadded?"

"Yeah." Chad said smiling a little. "We had a long talk, and something were brought up and then some other things, and well, our relationship is going someplace else....someplace better." He said smiling blushing a little.

"You gave him a I'm sorry BJ didn't you?" Erin said with a little giggle.

"Watch your muzzle little lady." Ruth said rolling her eyes and starting to go through the bag, getting out the food and handing it out. The family sat around the room, eating talking and laughing, happy that things were getting back to normal. The mother bat picking with her daughter about the trouble that she would be in, and a few other things. Soon it started getting late, everyone letting out little yawns.

"Mom. You and Chad go home, get some sleep....I know that you both have work in the morning." Erin said turning and looking at them. "I will be ok here by myself tonight."

"Well I will be here....I mean if that is alright with you." Cassandra said smiling warmly.

"See, we got this." Erin said smiling and poking out her tongue.

"Ok." Ruth said getting up and stretching a little. "I will let you two have the room all to yourselves." The mother bat started smiling as she stood at the foot of the bed. "And remember that you two are in a hospital.....try not to be too loud." She said as she started walking out of the room, Chad following her, shaking his head a little.

"Your family is.....a little strange." Cassandra said with a little snicker as she heard the door closing. "And you....don't do anything like that again.....I.....I couldn't....I didn't want to think about not having you around." She said as she leaned in, planting a kiss on her lover's cheek.

"Well I have you around now....And I'm sure that if it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't have made it.....Thank you." Erin said turning her head and pressing her lips against the serval's, one hand coming up to hold her in place as her tongue slipped into her lover's muzzle.

The two layed next to one another making out, letting their tongues dance about, exploring every nook and cranny of the other muzzle and enjoying the familiar tastes of one another. During the little make out session, the kitten let out a loud purr as she climbed on top of the bat, holding her tight as she started grinding her hips against the bats lap.

The two were to lost in making out to hear the door opening and the sound of claws clicking on the floor. Shanoa had come into the room to check on the bat, smiling at the sight of the two. "Ummmm, pardon me girls." The catwolf said clearing her throat, bursting into a giggle when she watched them snap to attention, blushing at the fact that they got caught.

"Ummmm. Hello Ms. Shanoa." Cassandra said as she rolled off of her lover, the bat sitting up and covering her lap.

"Sorry about that.....it's been.....well....we missed one another." Erin said blushing as she watched the doctor walking up to the machines and writing something down.

"It's all good....I know how being that age is and all.....just remember that you are in a hospital so don't be too loud." She said as she walked over to the serval and handed her something from her pocket. "And make sure that you use this." She said before turning and walking to the door and out.

"Do you two know one another or something?" Erin asked as she looked over to her lover who was looking at the thing that Shanoa had handed her.

"Not that I know of.....but I think she might know me....or use." She said as she held up the string of three condoms that she had been handed.

"Well.....it looks like she's trying to tell us something." Erin said smiling and licking her lips.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Cassandra said as she climbed back on top of her lover. "We need to make sure that everything is still working and all."

The next morning, the sight that greeted the mother and brother bat was one of love. Cassandra and Erin both snuggled up, half naked, under the thin sheets of the hospital bed. Cassandra snuggled against Erin, her head resting against her chest, Erin's wings wrapped around her, with her head resting between the feline's ears, the two purring loudly.

"They do make a cute pair." Ruth said smiling as she walked into the room, going over to the chair in the corner.

"Its sickeningly cute really." Chad said as he took a seat in the other chair. "So when are we going to get them up and tell them that we are going home? And what you pulled with her mom?"

"Well we have to wait for the doctor." Ruth said, starting to say something, but stopping the moment that she saw the wolfcat standing in the room.

"You called?" She said with a little snicker. "Mr. Chad, if you would like to poke the sleeping lovers....I will get Ms. Wilkinson to sign some papers and we will have you lot out in time to get some breakfast." She said as she walked over to the mother bat, offering her a clipboard and a pen. "Ok. For the time being, Erin will need someone to keep track of her medication and how much, when she is taking it. I take it that it's going to be you and her little girlfriend there?"

"It will. It will be me when she is at the house and when she is out, it will be the kitten over there." She said motioning to the serval that was letting out a yawn as Chad worked on waking the two up.

"Ok. As for getting her on something different, I'm looking into some alternate pain management methods." The catwolf said as she watched the mother bat filling out the paperwork, glancing back to see the bat and the cat getting out of the bed and starting to get dressed and ready to leave.

"Now, you think that you can handle that Cassandra?" Ruth asked glancing over at the serval, smiling at her and the sight of her and her daughter sitting on the edge of the bed holding hands.

"Yes ma'am, I can." She said smiling and turning to the bat and planting a kiss on her cheek.

"You know you two are too cute together....and thank you for not getting too loud last night." Shanoa said with a little giggle as she was handed the clipboard. "Thank you ma'am, I will be right back."

"You know, I still want to know what happened between you and mouse trap." Erin said glancing over to her brother. "I was almost sure that you two broke up or something like that."

"No, but it was something just as life changing." Chad said smiling, "and I'm going to tell everyone the news. I'm going to be taking everyone to get something to eat, and that's when I'm going to be breaking the news. Even mom doesn't know what it is yet." He said glancing at her and smiling.

It was about then that Shanoa came back into the room with a wheelchair. "You ride is here ma'am." She said smiling at the bat. "And yes, I know that you don't like having to ride one of these, but we have rules here and all that." She said as she watched the bat rolling her eyes as she got up and moved to the chair. "You know. You might be able to get your lady there on here with you." She said with a little snicker as she watched the kitten nearly jumping at the idea. "Alright you two, I want to see Erin here back here in two week to make sure that everything is ok." She said before turning and heading to the door, stopping and turning back. "Oh, and take care you guys." She said before walking out the door.

"Chade.....get to pushing." Erin said with a little snicker as she watched him coming over and starting to push the chair with her and her girlfriend in it.

"You're a dick but I love you." He said shaking his as he pushed them through the hall and up to the elevator, pressing the button and calling the elevator.

Leaving from the hospital, the family made their way back to the apartment. The whole time the lovers snuggled up in the back seat, all of them chatting about different things, but the mother and brother keeping some secrets and avoiding some things. Once they got to the house, they all set about getting a shower, a change and ready to go out and get something to eat. Once everyone was ready they all set out again, this time heading to one of the local breakfast places, snagging a booth in the back of the building, Chad having said something to the waiter that made him snicker before leading them off.

"So what the hell happened between you and mouse trap?" Erin asked as she glared at her brother. "I know that something happened, I want to know what......and please tell me that you and him didn't break up....that little squeaker was just starting to grow on me." She said looking across the table.

"Ok I won't tell you that." Chad said smiling. "It's not what happened anyway." He said leaning back in his seat. "We had a little talk about things....and he....err she brought something up to me." He said taking a deep breath. "It turns out that he is more than a crossdresser.....he's trans....so Erin....I'm sure that you would be happy to help it out and all." He asked looking her in the eyes, watching her smiling.

"I kinda thought there was something different about him, other than the whole crossdressing thing." The bat said smiling, and leaning forward. "And as for helping her out with things....I would be happy to......Take him down the road, show her the do's and don'ts.....dress her up and all that."

"Thank you." Chad said smiling and shifting in his seat again. "I have one more announcement to make." He said, the smile he had growing more. "I asked Casey to a marry me....and she said yes.....So we have a wedding to plan.....and Erin....would you be my flower girl?"

"Yes!" She said nearly leaping out of her seat. "I will....I will." She said happily, bouncing a little.

"And, Cassandra." He said as he turned to look at the serval, smiling. "Would you be the maid of honor? I mean, with Erin being the flower bat, her date should get to be the maid of honor."

"But shouldn't Casey be picking one?" Cassandra asked, tilting her head a little.

"Yes, but her family wants nothing to do with her now....well once they found out that she was a crossdresser they kinda kicked her out.....so I'm sure that she would love to have you there as her maid of honor."

"Really? Are you sure?" The serval asked tilting her head a little at the question. "I mean I hardly know her....." She said pausing a moment, "but if she want's me to then I will be happy to do it." Cassandra said smiling.

"Well that looks like that gets my stuff in order. Casey was going to ask you herself, but she got drug into work today, so I ended up getting to ask for her." Chad said as he turned to look at the mother bat. "Mom I think that you had something that you wanted to say now."

"I did." She said turning to look at the couple that was snuggled up in the corner of the booth, snacking on the food that they had ordered. "Cassandra, I talked to your parents and told them what was going on, about what happened with Erin."

"Where they pissed?"

"Not really, I made sure to tell them what I knew they really wanted to hear....and a little of what they needed to know." The mother bat said with a little snicker. "I told them that Erin was sick and that you were really worried about her, and that you never really left her side, witch that was the truth." She said smiling a little more. "I also told them that I would need to borrow you for a few days to help get things at the house back to normal, and to help get Erin back into shape and all that....so you will staying at the apartment with us for a few days....and the two of you won't have to worry about school for about a week."

"Yeah, if you didn't know, mom has a way with words." Chad said smiling. "That or she is just blackmailing the dean.....again."

"Hey I only had to do that like one time.....it's not my fault that the lazy ass wasn't doing his job right." Ruth said smiling and poking her tongue out at her son. "And I bet that you have noticed that things have been a lot better at that place." She said rolling her eyes before turning back to the pair. "Anyway, I convinced the dean to let you two lay out for a week.....well I convinced him to let you lay out for a week, Cassandra....I got that strange doctor of Erin's to write her a note for the week."

"So I'm going to be around your house for the week helping out?" Cassandra asked tilting her head a little.

"Something like that, you're going to be around the house helping Erin out with things....that and just because you two are missing a week of school doesn't mean that you're not going to have to do home work and all that." The mother bat said shaking her head a little. "One of the things that me and the dean agreed on is that you two would have to do the homework for the week....so there is that....and I'm sure that between the two of you it won't take too long to get it all done and out of the way."

"Thanks mom." Erin said smiling, half rolling her eyes. "I thought that someone with a silver tongue like you could have gotten us out of that." She said snickering.

"Oh you know that I could have, but I'm not going to let you get off that easily....I told you that there was going to be some kind of punishment." Ruth said smiling and poking her tongue out at her daughter this time.

"Oh well, I thought that it would be worth a shot." Erin said shrugging a little. "Anyway." She said standing up and picking up her glass. "I would like to make a toast." She said holding up the glass. "To family, that might be a pain in the ass, but they are the best. To future love and life with someone special. To all of us, cause I love you guys." Erin said smiling as the others got up and clinked their glasses together, letting out a "cheers." All together.

"You know what?" Erin said smiling. "I think me and Kitten here need to steal your girlfriend and take her out shopping.....I mean she is about to end up stuck to you....." She said snickering a little.

"You're a dick....but I'm sure that she would love that.....she's already talking about dresses and stuff like that." Chad said shaking his head.

"Don't worry sweetie, I will help you out with the suit and all that, leave the girls there to helping out Casey." Ruth said smiling and nudging her son. "I'm sure that we can find one that will look just right on you."

"Long as it's nothing like the last one that he bought." Erin said smiling, doing her best to fight back a wave of laughter. "Cause that last one.....looked all kinds of bad."

"Hey it's not my fault....I was young and dumb....that and you looked awful dorky in that easter dress that you had." Chad said smiling and poking his tongue out at her. "I mean, you looked like you barfed rainbows on it before you put it on."

"Bite me." Erin said with a huff.

"You know....I think that there is a photo someplace at the house that I need to show Cassandra."

"I will beat you with my fake leg." Erin said glaring him down. They spent the rest of the meal talking about old times, Chad, Erin, and Ruth taking turns telling embarrassing stories about one another. The family sat around laughing and enjoying one another, forgetting the trauma of the past few days in favor of looking to the future and all of the things that would be happening. The wedding of Chad and Casey and all of the planning that would have to go into that, the growth of the Erin and Cassandra's budding relationship, the things that the two planned on doing with and for one another down the line, even talking about the dresses that they would be wearing, causing Erin's brother to blush a little, more to the fact that they were teasing him with talk of the dress that they were going to get for his little mouse trap.
