Chapter 5: When You Escort Hatred...
The Guardians had arrived at the Hall Of Origins, battered and exhausted, but with smiles on the faces.
"And we're back with the evening news!" said Seje.
"Welcome back and great job. Only had 5 Pokemon casualties." said Arceus smiling at their work.
"Well... kinda my fault that I didn't tell them about Aspis' Purifying abilities." Seje said in response.
"It's OK. You tried your best, and that's all that matters." said she, "Now, any Pokemon that you managed to bring, take them to the Infirmary." Arceus explained, Seje and Chris taking their Pokemon to the Infirmary with the others.
"So, anything else?" asked Sin as he sharpened his bowie knife.
"No. Just report here tomorrow for any missions. As of now, you can enjoy dinner or go to sleep." she said, waving her hoof. Sin left for dinner.
"Hey Mew! how you doing~?" Kora said to the pink cat of adorableness.
"I'm doing great. Wanna play?" Mew said, floating up to Koraru.
"Sure! What game do you have in mind?" she asked, excited after the mission.
"Oh! Let's play Tag! You're IT!" Mew said, tapping Kora on her shoulder and speeding off.
"Hey! No fair!" Kora said, pouting and running after Mew.
The Infirmary...
"So, what'd you get Seje?" Chris asked as he noticed Seje put a Pokeball in the Infirmary Nurse's hand.
"An Aegislash." Seje simply replied, "He was being used with the Golurk and wanted me to catch him."
"Wow. You got double-teamed by a sword and a golem? Must have been tough." Chris said, letting his Golurk out to heal.
"Well... It was fun while it lasted." he said back, looking at the Golurk with a scowl.
'Well well well, if it isn't the Leader of the great Guardians. Here for another round of 'I Spy'? the Golurk said, looking at Seje.
"No. I'm here for my Aegislash. 'Member?" he said back as rebuttal.
'Nope.' the Golurk said, smirking.
"Sure you don't..." Seje sighed, already done for today.
'Your name is Seje?' the Aegislash asked Seje.
"Yep, pronounced like 'sage', but spelled differently." he said with a smile for miles.
'So, you're my new Master?' he asked, looking up at Seje.
"Ahbupbup, I don't do that Master/Slave shit! Against my morals! We're partners, and partners have names. Do you have one?" he asked the Royal Sword Pokemon.
'None that I know of...' the Aegislash replied, looking down sadly.
"Hey... don't be sad. I'll give you one. How's that?" Seje said, hugging the Aegislash.
However that is possible without getting cut...
'Okay!' the Aegislash said, happy for getting a name for all these years of living.
"I have one on the tip of my tongue... Can you see it?" Seje asked, holding his tongue out, where a name was scribbled.
'It says...Brisingr... I love it! Thank you Seje!' he said, hugging the Leader of the GoA.
"It's Ok, Brisingr. Some people don't realize the importance of names to Pokemon." Seje explained to the uber-happy Royal Sword. A tap on Seje's shoulder made him look back, only to have his lips smashed together by Luke, who had followed them inside.
"Uh..." was all Seje could say as the kiss of eternal surprises ended. Luke had ran out, his heart beating like a drum.
"Wow Seje, looks like you got a new lover. Thoughts?" Chris said, much to the Aegislash's confusion to what just transpired.
'I don't understand... When do Pokemon do that with humans?' he said confusedly to Chris' Golurk.
'You're an old timer, aren't you?' the Golurk replied, holding his uninjured arm under his head as he watched the two humans argue about relationships...
Outside the Infirmary...
Kora had lost Mew after a few corners and started looking for the cute cat. She wandered the halls of the Hall until she came across Luke, Seje's Electivire. She stopped him as he walked with a smile on his face.
"Did it work?" she whispered, just in case anyone listened in on them.
"Yep. He didn't expect it, nor did he deny it. You were right!" he whispered back, still happy.
"Good job, pal! :D" she said back, waving good-bye as Luke strolled away.
"They'll be a cute couple..." she said, "Now back to finding Mew..."
The Cafeteria...
Sin wanted a simple dinner, so he just grabbed a plate of spaghetti and sat down at an empty table. Soon, his table went from ten empty seats to a full house as his fan-club showed up, along with his Charizard.
"So, Sin-kun! How was the mission?" asked one of the members, Suicune.
"It was alright." Sin said in reply, taking a bite of his spaghetti.
"Did anyone get hurt? Please don't say it was you!" another one added, this being Kyogre.
"Just Chris. Poison Sting to the leg." he said, nearly done with his plate.
"Did you kill anyone?" his other fan-club member said, Palkia.
"Only a Shadow Aggron and a few Team Neo grunts. Seje killed the other 4 Pokemon by accident and he and Chris got the rest of the kills." he expxlained, throwing his plate away and starting to leave.
"So that one guy got the most kills? Come Sin-kun, don't lie to us!" the last one member said Xerneas.
"His name is Seje, and no I'm not lying." Sin said, irritated that they would talk down on Seje behind his back.
"Oh please, the only thing that guy is good for is being a copycat." Suicune remarked, smirking the whole while.
"I'm leaving now." Sin said, now frustrated.
"No, wai-" Kyogre started, but Sin had already left via Shadow Sneak.
"[Sigh] That was the bad approach. Who the hell's idea was this?" Palkia asked, looking around. The other fan-clubbers pointed at her. She sighed again...
Meanwhile, while the girls were talking about him, Seje's eyes were on twitch-coffee, making the argument between him and Chris very awkward.
"Uh, Seje?" Chris said, abandoning his rant, seeing Seje's eyes go crazy.
"What?" he said, wondering why Chris stopped talking about his Lucario, Aurora.
"Your eyes..." Chris said back, pointing at his own eyes.
"Oh that... Sin's fan-club were having a riot. He left his Com. on, so I heard everything." Seje said, smiling.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Chris said, returning his long-ago healed Golurk.
"Oh... Nothing..." Seje said, smiling the whole while, evilly...
The Next Day...
"AHHHHHHH!" Screams filled the peaceful atmosphere of the Hall Of Origins as everyone woke up alerted. The only one still asleep was Seje.
"WHERE'S MY CLOTHES?!" one voice said.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY ANTLERS?!" said another.
"WHERE'S MY HAIR?!" one more said.
"WHERE'S MY PEARLS?!" the last one said. The Halls were filled with tired faces and bedheads. The four voices happened to be Sin's fan-club. Sin had smiled behind his mask at their condition.
'Note to Self: Never piss off Seje in the future...' Sin thought as the girls were crying.
"Why...?" Palkia cried, her shoulders barren of their lustrous pearls.
"I'm so ugly... Don't look Sin-kun..." Suicune said, hiding her face at a poor attempt of hiding her bald head.
"I feel so poor..." Kyogre said, her eyes bloodshot and puffy, nude as the day she hatched.
"I'm so naked now..." Xerneas said, looking away from everyone else to hide herself with her antler-less head.
"[Yawn] What's going on?" said a tired voice. Everyone turned to see Seje in his 'E' form, just now getting up since he was a deep sleeper in said form.
"YOU DID THIS, DIDN'T YOU?!" Suicune suddenly yelled out, pointing accusingly at Seje, who shifted to his normal form after rubbing his eyes.
"Hey, don't look at me. Everyone knows I'm a deep sleeper. 'Member that break-in we had a week ago? I was still sleep hours after it was over." he explained, Sin easily seeing through the lie.
"What about if I don't believe you?" she said with venom in her voice.
"What if I said... HERE COMES THE PAIN!" Seje yelled, shifting to his infamous 'N' form, the pistol being long barreled but tan, beige, and white with a stock and precision Iron Sights this time. The other pistol was broken from use.
"..." Suicune didn't say anything, nor the others, as she raised her hands in surrender, making Darkrai remember the mission for today. He shuddered.
"If that's all you need to say... Whoever did it missed a spot, a patch is showing." he said, putting his pistol away. Suicune ran off, crying her eyes out.
"Seje, that's enough, your mission is today." said Arceus, deciding now was a good time to mention it.
"OH! Another one?" said Kora.
"Yep; It's an Escort Mission of high priority." Arceus said.
"Can we have details?" Sin asked, ready to go.
"You'll be heading to the Sinnoh Region towards New Moon Island. Darkrai, against better judgment, decided he was done living here and wanted to move into his old home. New Moon Island has been home to a Mineral Extraction Plant ever since Team Neo started operating." she elaborated.
"Alrighty, we'll hop to it! Come on Darkrai, let's get a move-on!" Seje called to Darkrai.
"Don't leave yet; I have to tell you something." Arceus cut in.
"What's next?" he asked, ready to go-go-go.
"Seje, I have a challenge for you. If you can do this mission without using more than two of your forms, I'll give you something." Arceus said vaguely.
"I'll do it!" he said.
"But remember; You already used one and no Pokemon need to be Purified this time." she said.
"Alrighty. Ready to go, guys?" Seje said, looking at his team.
"Ready to go!" exclaimed Kora.
"I'm good." Chris said.
"Already was..." Sin said quietly.
"Darkrai?" Seje asked the Pitch-Black Pokemon.
"Fine. But if you so much as point a finger at me, your nightmares will be never-ending while you sleep..." he said, looking like Snape.
"Yeah yeah yeah. I get it. But, for the life of you, don't go in my tent while we're gone; don't want any pervs in there." Seje said, smirking.
"I DON'T LIKE YOU!" Darkrai yelled.
"That's nice..." And with Seje's comment, they were sent to the Sinnoh Region...
Earth-Sunnyshore City-Outskirts-Sinnoh Region-07:21 AM...
A bright light went off in the outskirts of the lustrous Sunnyshore. Five beings were sown when the light dispersed.
"Alright, we need to move quickly; all wild Pokemon are altered by a behavioral signal in each town or city, making them attack whoever they see." Darkrai said, already moving.
"Sounds horrible..." Koraru said, trembling.
"You don't know the half of it..." he said back, also trailing off. The quintet walked through the route in silence, nothing really happening. There had been some rustling bushes, but nothing came out once checked. Soon, Route 222 came to a close and the quintet were at the Lake Valor Lakefront.
"Okay. Tread carefully; there will be grunts here as they've been hunting Azelf before he left for the Hall." Darkrai said, hovering close to the ground before promptly disappearing to the shadows, even with the morning sun out.
The Team Neo grunts were more numerous and armed than last time. The guns of the Assault Rifle kind were present and Auto-Turrets of the artificial persuasion. The Guardians and Darkrai edged around, making sure they were outta sight and mind. But, Seje heard a transmission and stopped them.
'[Static]... ids killed everyone there?' a voice on a radio said.
'Yes sir. They killed all of the grunts, and almost all of the Cipher scientists. The one they left alive had his memory wiped so he can't be of future use.' another voice responded.
'Dammit! These kids need to be taken out before they can figure us ou- Huh? Hey, was there another line with us? the first voice said.
'Not that I know of. Lemm-' Seje had hurriedly cut off the transmission to avoid detection.
"Note to Self: Don't mess with the Coms." he said, frustrated they almost got caught.
"Over here! The tracker system leads to here!"
Or not.
"Seje, take your Com. off!" Sin whisper-yelled at Seje, who hurriedly took the earpiece off. The quintet split up in the shadows of the trees. Then, a Team Neo grunt showed up.
"Where's the tracker say now... Got it!" he said, swiping the Com.
"Was there anyone there?" a voice in the distance said.
"Nope. All clear. Check this out though..." The grunt walked off. They sighed in relief.
Or almost all of them.
"Nope, fuck that. I'm going in." Seje said, getting in his 'N' form, akimbo Unforgivens at the ready.
"Are you insane?! Those are turrets. Turrets! You'll get maimed before you reach half-way!" Darkrai said, shocked at Seje's outburst.
"You idiot! If they study the Com., they'll find out where the damn thing was built, leading Team Neo straight to the Legendaries!" he explained, moving on.
"Won't you get hurt, Seje-kun!" Kora said, worried about Seje's well-being.
"Don't worry; I have a plan... Chris, you'll help me rush through. Sin will provide cover-fire with his Trespasser. Let any Pokemon through. They won't attack us." he elaborated, confusing them.
"What do you mean 'won't attack us'?" Chris asked, getting his armor ready.
"The Mark of a Guardian is instantaneously recognized by a Pokemon, wild or owned. They won't attack, unless they wanna get Phase-Blasted." Seje replied back.
"Are you sure you wanna do this? We can just disable it." Sin said, bolting his Trespasser.
"If I disable it, they'll be able to track its origins down faster. That's why I only cut the connection; I didn't turn it off." he said, nearly giving them away.
"Okay. Your death wish..." Darkrai said, hoping Seje got hurt or worse.
"Anyway...", Seje said, breaking through the tree line, entering enemy sights, the grunt from earlier among them- he still had the Com.
"HEY!" Seje yelled, catching everyone else's attention," Hope you're ready to put your hands in the air 'cause it's TIME TO DANCE ASSHOLES!" he finished, activating his Showdown, shooting while running towards the Com. wielding Team Neo grunt, headshots achieved like a game score.
"Chris, get out here! I need those Auto-Turrets down! NOW!" Seje called, running through the Operation Base's front and looking for the grunt while dodging Turret bullets. Chris promptly activated Juggernaut and took off, bullets being shrugged off like dandruff. Pokemon were being sent out at them, but they shirked away in fear wen they saw their targets.
"What the fuck are you doing, you stupid mutt! GET 'EM!" a Team Neo grunt yelled at his Mightyena, who was cowering in fear from the sight of the Guardians.
"Fucking attack, already!" the grunt yelled again. kicking the Bite Pokemon in the underbelly.
"HEY!" Seje yelled, catching the Team Neo grunt's attention, before shooting the grunt in the head. His Pokeballs fizzled and broke, leaving a Magmortar and the Mightyena from earlier without a trainer. The Magmortar is unconscious.
"[Whistles]" goes Kora, calling the now-Wild Mightyena to her, "Here girl! Come on!" The Mightyena looked scared at first, before seeing her Guardian Mark on the back of her hand and promptly running to her.
"Here you go! That's a good girl. Who's a good girl?~" Kora cooed, scratching the licking Bite Pokemon behind the ears, making her leg thump the ground.
"That's so frigging adorable." Seje said, lowering his pistols, throwing the grunts he was pointing them at with get thrown into a loop. "Psych!" he said, catching them off guard. Another bullet shower came towards Seje before abruptly stopping, courtesy of Chris, who had punched the damn thing.
"Thanks for the save." Seje said, getting off the ground from where he took cover.
"Would I leave you for dead?" Chris said back, jumping from the Turret post tower.
"Guess not." Seje replied. The Operations Base was now a wasteland of bodies, all human. The Pokemon ran back to the wild, some were hurt.
"Alright, mission's not done so we'll teleport them to the Infirmary." Kora said from the back of her new doggie Mightyena.
"Sounds good. Make sure that the Magmortar gets there quickly; he's hurt the worst." Chris said, pointing at the Magmortar's right arm, which was a bloody stump.
"Gotcha!" she said in confirmation, activating her Guardian Mark. The Mark began to glow, the injured Pokemon in tandem. It sparked, teleporting the Pokemon away, Mightyena staying behind.
"No, please... have mercy..." the Com. wielding grunt called, nursing a bloody leg, preventing him from moving, courtesy of Seje's last Showdown bullet.
"Hmmmmm... sorry, fresh out." said Seje, shooting the grunt in his head, watching the brain matter come out on the other side.
"Alright, let's get moving." Seje said, grabbing the Com. from the dead grunt's hands and putting it back in his ear. Darkrai just looked at what they did in such a short span of time. Sin was thinking of something.
'Rephrase earlier Note: NEVER piss off Seje.' he thought as they keep going on through Route 214. As they were walking, Darkrai was in continued denial of the Base Raid's success.
'There's no WAY that human was successful in that raid... There has to be a fluke...' the Pitch-Black Pokemon thought, looking at Seje in disbelief.
The Route ended with Pastoria City up ahead, satellite dishes around a metal fence-like wall covering the city's interior.
"Plan A: Don't go in there. Plan B: Go around." Seje said, much to the other's agreement. They move around the city, watching for Team Neo Patrols as they went. Route 213 came into view, enabling them to relax. Kora went to playing with the Mightyena, that never left her side when she healed her.
"Wanna play Fetch?" she asked the Bite Pokemon, who barked in affirmative. Kora looked for a stick to throw, finding a branch instead, and threw it far enough to see.
"Fetch!" Kora yelled playfully, the Mightyena taking off to get it for her. When she came back, the branch was in her muzzle.
"OH MY ARCEUS! Seje, can you get a picture?" Kora asked, hoping the camera was still on his person. His answer was pulling out said camera.
"Okay, get into position...[Click] Got it!" he said, the flash off.
"Thanks!" she said, looking at the picture. The Mightyena was having her head hugged as Kora stood on one foot, posing for the camera lens. They moved on, eventually reaching the fabled Mt. Coronet. There were no guards out here.
"Cast ballots now: Those who wanna go through say 'Uno'." Seje said stopping the quintet. Sin and Darkrai said Uno.
"Those who wish for instant teleportation to the other side say 'Dos'." he said, everyone else voting for this one.
"Alright, come here." he held out his hands for them to grab. Once that is done, Seje switched to his new 'S' form, tattoos forming around his left portion of body.
"Let's go." he said, they disappearing in an orb of energy of the dark colored kind of artificial persuasion.
"Ready, old friend?" Sin asked, getting ready for a Shadow Run.
"Hmph." Darkrai grumbled, getting into the shadows and heading inside, Sin following after...
Mt. Coronet-Interior...
The inside of the large mountain was very dark after 2 years of no trainers coming through. Sin and Darkrai made great time going through the floors of the interior. Theey kept quiet, as needed to stay within the shadows.
Mt. Coronet-Exterior-Outside West Exit...
A flash of energy went off at the other entrance to Mt. Coronet, dispersing to reveal Seje, Kora, Chris and Kora's Mightyena.
"And I'm awesome." Seje said, the tattoos on his body burning red hot before switching to normal form.
"Should we wait for Sin-kun or keep going?" Kora asked, petting her Mightyena, who was liking the attention.
"We can-" Seje was cut off as the ground beneath them sank in on itself, taking the quartet with them...
Mt. Coronet-Interior-Near West Exit...
Sin and Darkrai was just another few paces away from the exit when the ground shook. It trembled and trembled, making nocturnal Zubats and Golbats fly away. Then, it revealed to be a Steelix, who brought its head up, looked at the two Shadow-users before digging away.
"That was weird." Sin said. Darkrai shrugged and kept going, Sin following after...
Mt. Coronet-Exterior...
Sin and Darkrai went through the exit, the sun's glare making their eyes hurt.
"Jeez, you'd think a Fire-type was using Sunny Day on this location..." Sin whined, rubbing his eyes.
"Get used to it." Darkrai said, sneering at Sin.
"Well, where are the others, O wise one?" Sin said, looking around noticing the lack of a welcome party.
"Maybe they went ahead." Darkrai suggested, hoping they split up and Seje got lost.
Youse a hater, Darkrai. Let it go.
"I doubt that." Sin replied, looking at something Darkrai couldn't.
"Oh, do explain, child." he said back, crossing his arms in impatience.
"'Cause why would Kora leave her staff on the ground as if she dropped it?" Sin said, holding said object up.
"Maybe she's in the trees?" Darkrai said, hoping to change the subject and leave the area.
"Don't think so. I don't hear laughing." Sin reprimanded Darkrai.
"Dug a hole? Ooops." he said accidently, exposing the mystery of her disappearance.
"Well well well, looks like Curtain #2 wins the prize!" Sin called out, moving some dirt around and finding the hole in question.
"[Sigh] Do we have to?" Darkrai said begrudgingly.
"Yes. A one-man team can't go where a team can go. 'Sides what would Seje say-" Speak of Giratina, Seje was calling.
'Hell[Static] Sin, pick the fuck up!' he yelled, the noise sounding very loud to others.
'This is Sin. Where are you?' Sin replied.
'Fu[Static] -eelix kidnapped us! Dig[Static]- unnels under the region! Gott[Static]-' The connection cut there.
"Did he say 'Steelix'?" Darkrai said, looking at Sin.
"Yep." Sin said, jumping into the hole, Kora's staff on his back.
"[Sigh]" went Darkrai as he came in after...
The Underground-Post- Team Neo Invasion...
The others were getting dug through as the Steelix that kidnapped them was going through the Earth's crust very fast. They were holding on for dear life as the Iron Snake Pokemon kept digging.
"Kora! Sin should be on the way!" Seje yelled over the noise, making sure to close his mouth after as mud and rocks were pelting him and the others.
"Okay!" Kora called back, her and Mightyena next to each other, holding on to the spike near the Steelix's head.
"What are we gonna do about-?" Chris was cut off from getting smacked to the face by a bundle of dirt.
"Screw this! DRAW!" Seje yelled, nearly getting dirt in his eyes and mouth as he activated Showdown. He shot at the connecting points of the Steelix' body, making the Snake stop and throw them into a chamber before speeding off. The way closed behind it, leaving them trapped.
"Hey!" Kora called, her Mightyena buddy calling as well.
"Are you kidding me?! Kidnap us and leave us in a danky cave?" Seje said, his words echoing off the chamber walls.
"Hopefully it'll come back." Chris said, his words also playing the echo game.
"What are we gonna do now, Seje-kun?" Kora said, hugging her Mightyena.
"Wait and hope for Sin, I guess." he said, calling out his Aegislash, who had healed up late last night.
'Yes, Seje?' Brisingr said, looking up at him.
"I wanted to have a little sword fight until we get rescued. Sin should be coming." Seje said, getting his sword out in 'W' form.
"Hey, I thought you were only supposed to use two forms for the challenge." Kora noticed as he got into a fighting stance.
"The mission's on a temporary hiatus, Kora. I'll switch back when Sin gets here." Seje explained.
"If he gets here." Chris said, sitting on a rock.
"Hey, don't be a killjoy." Seje said, charging at Brisingr...
The Underground- 20 Miles from the Remaining Guardians' Position...
Sin and Darkrai were rushing through the old tunnels and jumping into the new ones recently dug. They hadn't encountered anything... yet... 15 more miles and still nothing... It was when they jumped down another tunnel when the Steelix from earlier came up to them, Hyper Beam charging in his mouth, aimed at...
Darkrai?
The Hyper Beam fired at the Pitch-Black Pokemon, the latter dodging it and shooting a Dark Void, which was swatted away.
"It's you again..." Darkrai said in a deep voice, charging a Dark Pulse in his hand as the Steelix glared daggers at him.
"You guys know each other?" Sin asked, confused.
"Yeah, unfortunately. This asshole grew up around Alamos Town some years ago, believing the lies about me being evil so much that he vowed to get rid of me." he said with a growl.
'And I will succeed in ridding you, demon.' the Steelix said, firing the Hyper Beam from its maw.
"Why didn't you do something about it in the mountain and why'd you kidnap the other humans?" Darkrai said, melding into the shadows to dodge.
'Innocents. Something you aren't, unholy beast. Now die!' the Steelix called out, activating an Earthquake to hit the area Darkrai disappeared to. He came up with cuts when the tremors stopped.
"Lucky shot..." Darkrai said, shooting a Dark Void at the Steelix, who was busy charging another Hyper Beam. He didn't see it as it made contact. The Steelix fell to the ground, asleep.
"Idiot... Sin, deal with him." Darkrai said, moving on. Sin pulled out his suppressed Desert Eagle and took aim. The bullet shot through the eyes, the kill quiet. Sin put his pistol away as Darkrai beckoned him over.
"How are you humans so emotionless about killing Pokemon?" he asked, looking genuinely concerned.
"The Steelix was trying to kill you. If there is no hope for a Pokemon, put it out of its misery; same for those who want to kill for their own benefit." Sin explained critically, walking and stopping before taking notice of something shining ahead.
"Hey, look at this." Sin said, picking up a used bullet casing.
"So? It's an old bullet. Throw it away and let's keep moving." Darkrai said, already knowing the clue as to where the bullet came from.
"This is Seje's Unforgiven bullets, aren't they?" Sin said in response.
"Can we just keep going?!" Darkrai said suddenly angry.
"Okay, 'shadow-thingy'..." Sin said mockingly, running away from Darkrai as he started shooting Dark Pulses at him.
"COME BACK HERE SO I CAN HIT YOU!" he yelled, rapid-firing the move in his anger...
The Underground- Unknown Chamber...
Seje was getting bored of waiting on Sin as he and Brisingr finish another spar with him winning for a 12/3/2 game.
"Okay... Where is he, Seje?" Chris said as he sat by Kora, who had fallen asleep from waiting, her Mightyena doing the same.
"i dunno; he said he'd be here by now..." he said, shifting back to his normal form.
"Well, try cal-." Chris was cut off as an explosion from the blocked-off exit rocked the debris.
"Dafuq was that?" Seje asked as Kora woke up.
"Huh? What's going on, Chris-kun?" she asked, rubbing her eyes, looking all sorts of kawaii.
"I dunno Kora, but I'll look and see." Chris reassured her as she looked worried. He went up to the debris, trying to listen to see what going on as the explosions rocked the chamber again. He strained his ears towards the debris, listening hard.
Too bad you should never look a gift horse in the mouth. Horses can and will bite if provoked.
The debris blew Chris backwards as it exploded inwards, the source not yet identifiable through the smoke.
"COME HERE SO I CAN KILL YOU!" A voice said, shooting through the smoke, catching Chris' attention as he landed on the ground. Soon, a figure shot through, Sin, as he ran away from Darkrai laughing as opposed to the latter who looked royally pissed.
"Never, 'shadow-thingy'~!" Sin called out, infuriating the Pitch-Black Pokemon more.
"Why are you calling Darkrai my nickname for him? We've been over this Sin!" Seje called.
"Sorry; couldn't resist." he replied, hiding behind a rock. Suddenly the ceiling gave away to light, blinding the quintet and Mightyena as she woke up. Then the chamber ceiling broke away, boulder and what-not falling towards them.
"Everyone grab on!" Seje called, shifting to 'S' form, his tattoos flaring again. The group quickly rendezvoused to the location, grabbing on to each other and Seje as he teleported them outta there, boulders falling where they just were...
Canalave City- Outskirts- 17:58 PM...
In a secluded part of Route 218, the ground gave away to reveal a hole in the ground, which grew bigger until it stopped spreading. Then, a burst of energy went off, dispersing its contents on the ground, revealing the content to be six figures: 4 humans and 2 Pokemon.
"Still awesome." Seje said, going into 'N' form for recovery.
"Yeah yeah..." Darkrai said, dusting himself off. " Come on, thanks to that Steelix, we're even closer to my home."
"Finels." said Seje in response. They group got their bearings together, Kora got her staff back, which was not harmed in any way thanks to Sin, and headed off...
Canalave City- Docks...
"Why the hell did you suggest this, Seje?" Chris said, feeling like an idiot in his disguise.
"'Cause", Seje replied, " If we get caught, we are gonna go out with a bang." he said, adjusting his disguise. After getting past the gates leading to the inside, Seje decided that they should go incognito, so they won't be recognized at first-glance by the citizens. While it was with good reason, the disguises he got for them was very uncomfortable.
"[Sigh] I don't even see why I couldn't just go in a Pokeball for this part like the brat's Mightyena..." Darkrai grumbled, adjusting the collar on his shirt as he was in his human form.
"Stop being such a whiner! You don't see me complaining, do you?" Kora said.
"That's because you and Seje have woman's clothing on." said Sin, fluffing his shirt out for some air circulation.
"Hey, the guy ran out of guy clothes. I look good as both genders, so it works either way it goes." Seje said, twirling around to show his feminism. The break-in had been successful; they hadn't run into anyone suspicious of their little group. They just needed to get to the ferries.
"I still don't see why you like those clothes." said Chris as he was sweating like a slave, even though he was dressed like one.
"There's air..." he replied vaguely. They soon reached the docks, where there was a duo Team Neo grunts guarding the way to the only boat leading to New Moon Island.
"Halt! What is your business here?" the one on the left said, holding a hand out to stop them from moving further.
"We wanna see New Moon Island!" Kora said excitingly, even though deep down she wanted to punch the living daylights outta them.
"You can't; no ticket, no entry." the one on the right said, sneering.
"Is there another way we can get on?" Seje said in a completely feminine tone, creeping the living daylights outta the boys.
"Actually..." the left grunt said, feeling up Seje's body, making the latter shudder in disgust as he predicted this would happen, "There is one way..." he said, smirking, the other grunt feeling up on Kora.
But that's all they did today as Chris punched their lights out. Kora looked at him in appreciation.
"[Pant] Seje,[Pant, pant] If I didn't do that and push came to shove[Pant, pant pant], how far would you have taken that?" he asked, looking at Seje, the ever-so faithful leader of the Guardians. Everyone else awaited an answer as Seje stood there, shuddering. Then, he finally turned to them.
"I was gonna take him onto the ferry, wait for him to take his shirt off by pulling it over his head, wrap him up in my whip, hold him down, pull his pants down-"
Okay that's enough!" Sin said, receiving too much info, but Seje kept going.
"-Use a bladed-version of my Unforgiven and cut...his...member...off...clean... and give Darkrai here something to look at while I sleep." he concluded, at first, in shock, then it steadily grew darker. The group shuddered at his tone.
With the grunts down, they moved to the ferry bound for New Moon Island. The main deck was empty, as was everywhere else, until they went to the Control Room and saw the Captain passed out drunk in his seat.
"Talk about a great employee..." Seje said in his dark tone, further scaring the other Guardians and Darkrai a little bit. He took the Captain outta the chair, dragged him to the door and turned around.
"You guys start the ship; I gotta practice something..." he said, dragging the KO Captain out the door. They didn't question it and got the boat started and moving. But about half-way there, a scream of pain and a splash of water was heard throughout the ship, making the 'crew' turn around towards the door.
Said door opened and a bloody Seje came in and promptly shut it.
"He moved." Was all he said, taking the wheel. The others just backed away slowly. Soon, the island came into view, the reason why Darkrai can't be there very visible. The island had patrol subs under and patrol ships above the water. The island's shore was being heavily guarded by Neo grunts and Dark-type Pokemon. Helicopters were visible in the sky, making hope for the inevitable raid seem dim. Then, Seje spoke.
"Alright. You see all of that? Well, that's all gonna be gone when we get through. Chris and Kora, you'll be on the shore- when we get there-taking out the ships that miss our first assault. Sin and Darkrai, you'll come with me in-land so we can take out who's there. It'll be a simple clearing. Any questions?"
Kora raised her hand.
"What happened to the Captain?" she asked, making Seje smirk.
"He moved while I worked. Alright, to the Top Deck." he replied and said, the group moving quickly. When they got there, there was blood stains to their immediate right, making them shudder at Seje's antics. The shoreline came into view.
"Alright, this is where the show starts. Be ready for anything." Seje said, pulling out his Unforgivens. Then, a torpedo from underwater shot at the ferry, coming in hot.
"MOVE!" Seje called, everyone jumping off the doomed ship as they came on the shore. Chris and Kora landed on each other in questionable positions. They got up quickly, rubbing their arms in embarrassment.
"Uh, Seje? Not to be a killjoy but where's this 'assault' you mentioned?" Darkrai asked, looking at the waters, which Seje was looking at carefully.
"The light show starts... NOW!" he called out, pressing a button on a remote the others had not noticed in his hand. The waters exploded in a line, some coming from boat patrols as they were hit. Explosions from under the water signified that the subs weren't safe either.
"Chris, Kora, get ready; here they come." he said, heading in-land Sin and Darkrai following after...
New Moon Island-In-land...
Seje, Sin and Darkrai were darting through the trees at breakneck speeds, heading towards the Base on the island.
"Alright, get ready. The Base is coming up." Sin said, spotting it first. The Base came into view, same as the last one. There were no Shadow Pokemon, as Arceus stated.
"Ready to fuck shit up?" Seje said, readying his pistols.
"Sure." Sin said, ready to get some more kills under his belt.
"Fine." Darkrai said grumbling. They moved in. The Base didn't notice their presence until they were a literal foot away from the entrance.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?! This is privat-!" the grunt at the door didn't say anymore as Seje unleashed his left Unforgiven on his kids.
Damn Seje, that's cold.
"Why?..." was the grunt's last word as he slumped to the ground, too much pain for his brain to handle.
"If there's no more stops...", Seje said, opening the door, alerting the interior of their presence-or more specifically him and Darkrai, " DEAD OR ALIVE , YOU'RE GOING DOWN!" he started to fire...
New Moon Island- Beach...
Kora dodge the other Fire Blast from the cute Houndoom as she front-flipped with flexibility gymnastics can't match up.
"Come on puppy... try again..." she called tauntingly, making the hellhound charge at her before she turned around and roundhouse-kicked the Houndoom away from her, the Dark Pokemon not getting up again.
"You alright Kora?" called Chris as he ran up to another grunt and uppercut him in the jaw.
"Fine! Look out!" she called back, seeing a Pokemon attack headed towards Chis who was dealing with another grunt. She blocked it with a quick-conjured shield.
"Thanks!" Chris called, socking another grunt in the jaw, making sure he can't chew right ever again.
"You're welcome!" she said, getting ready to dodge as a Tyranitar with more scars than it had teeth came to her side of the beach.
"You don't look so good..." she said quietly before moving outta the way of a Dark Pulse.
"Maybe I could get you back to the Hall..." she said, not really focusing on the battle, moreover the Tyranitar, who was crying with his eyes...
Inland of New Moon Island...
The room was nearly cleared. Arceus had been right; Team Neo was crafty as the trio was pinned down by a few power suits.
'Sin, you in position yet?" Seje called from behind another pillar that wasn't shot up to Hell and back.
'Almost there... Now! Do it now!' Sin called back after a few moments.
"Alright... FANNING THE HAMMER!" Seje yelled, catching the power suit wielders' attention, drawing their fire to him. Meanwhile Sin was getting his aim in order to shoot the suits' power cores, their weakness...
Sin fired, hitting the mark on the first suit, bolting his sniper quickly for the next one. The 1st suit exploded due to the rupture in the core, making the other 2 stumble and their bullets go haywire. Sin fired a second shot, grazing the core because the suit move at the last second, but the rupture was enough to make it go. Sin fired his last bullet in the chamber, hitting the middle of the third suit's core, making him blow up.
Darkrai came out of the shadows and said: "Wow, that was invigorating."
"We're not done yet..." Seje said cryptically, moving to the end of the room they were in, bullets blood and bodies on the floor. A woman came into view, her Team Neo Admin uniform tattered from the initial capture.
"There's your back-up; care to tell where your boss is hiding?" he asked the lady in blue, who had been adamant in keeping secrets.
"I'll never tell!" she yelled, sounding like a true hostage.
"Remember that son of yours that you do this job for?" Seje said, Sin and Darkrai behind him.
"You wouldn't..." she trailed off.
"Who says I'm not able to?" he sent as rebuttal.
"Please don't hurt my little Joey!" she said, "I don't know where the Boss is! He doesn't tell us where!"
"I don't remember asking for a gender... Thanks you're free to go." Seje said, walking away.
"Thank you!" she said, ready to go back to her old life before joining Team Neo...
Before Seje said: "If you spend the remainders of your days on the island." he said, shooting the hopes of seeing her 12-year-old son down like a plane in war.
"Please, you ca-!" The light's looking really dim for your son, Ma'am. I suggest whose life you'd wish to let suffer the least." he cut her off.
"[Sniffle] Okay..." she said, agreeing to her new life already.
"Good... Darkrai, make a barrier around yourself and the lady; I'm doing some interior decorating for this dump." Seje said to Darkrai.
"What kinda 'interior decorating'?" he asked, curious...
New Moon Island-Beach...
"Hi-yah!" Kora yelled as the Salamence sent her way was sent away with a MoonBlast.
"Good one Koraru!" Chris called, taking out the last grunt that came their way.
"Thanks Chrissy~!" she said in her own way. Chris blushed at the nickname. Then, an explosion went off from the inland, making the other three from earlier seem like a pin dropping.
"Oh no!" he called heading to the island's clearing, thinking the worst happened as with Kora as she followed...
New Moon Island-Explosion Site-End Game...
Chris and Kora, panting, had found the clearing, only to see the remains of a building with a black orb in the middle.
"Oh no!" Kora yelled out, thinking their Leader and Assassin perished in the explosion.
Pfft, please.
In a flash, Seje and Sin popped out of the orb of energy usually associated with Seje's 'S' form. The black orb from earlier coming down to reveal Darkrai in his Pokemon form and a lady.
"What happened?" Chris asked Seje as he dusted himself off.
"Fucked shit up, killed some grunts, fucked shit up, leveled a building, fucked shit up, fought some power suit assholes, fucked shit up and fucked shit up. Did I mentioned we fucked shit up?" Seje explained, getting a laugh outta everyone present.
"So, is the mission complete?" Kora asked, looking around for any stragglers.
"Yepples! We're done!" Seje said, happily.
"That's nice. Now get off my lawn, you rotten kids..." Darkrai said like an old man. The quartet laughed at his words and teleported to the Hall...
