Chapter 4: First Mission As Guardians

"Good Afternoon, Guardians." said Arceus as the quartet of awesomesauce heroes stepped up to her.

"Good Afternoon, Mi' Lady!" they said happily.

"I guess you know why you're here?" she asked, amused.

"We're here... FOR OUR FIRST MISSION!" Kora yelled excitedly.

"Right-O, Kora." said Arceus.

"Yay!" Koraru and Seje yelled.

"Now, these missions are very serious; you'll need to be on your A-Game at all times. Be on your guard; these Team Neo have been very crafty as of late." Arceus said.

"Now before we go that far, is there anyone here with any squeamish tendencies?" she asked, looking at the Guardians of Awesome.

"Nope." said Sin.

"Nada." said Seje, speaking Spanish.

"Nothing that I know of." Chris said.

"Not really..." Kora trailed off.

"Good. Is there anyone amongst you that have anything for them?" Arceus asked, looking at the Council. Shaymin and Celebi came up to Kora.

"Here Kora, as proof of your mastery of Healing and Apathy, we present you with this Light Necklace." said Celebi, giving the necklace to Kora, who squealed in delight. The Light Necklace was an emerald green with an emerald in the middle. The color matched her Staff of Life, which was of similar design. Her staff was also an emerald color with a white-gray wood with vines of the artificial persuasion. The gem for the Staff was an Emerald.

"Thank you, Celebi-sama and Shaymin-sama!" she said, hugging them tightly. Cobalion came up to Seje.

"Here young one, a token of our gratitude. This is your proof of your mastery." he said, leaving off that note. What he gave to Seje would help with his 'W' form. It was a wheel of colors that looked like it can be attached to a lance-sword.

"I'll treasure it, Cobalion." Seje said, holding the wheel tightly. All of the Regis surrounded Chris.

"CHRIS, YOUR TRAINING WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST! WE CAN ONLY HOPE FOR THE BEST FROM YOU AS WE CANNOT GET YOU A GIFT!" said Regigigas, holding his hand out for a handshake, which Chris took.

Anyone else, their hand woulda got crushed by Regigigas' hand.

"I'll do you proud, Regigigas." Chris said, throwing the Golem Master a salute. Kora giggled at this.

"Anyone for Sin?" Arceus said. At first, there looked like there was no one coming up, but Deoxys had just remembered something and promptly called out.

"WAIT!" said he as he ran up to Sin, who had his eyebrow raised.

"I wanted to give you this." Deoxys said, giving Sin a little pendant.

"What's this for?" Sin asked, observing the object.

"This will help you in your goal in achieving Mobile Mental Processing Manipulation." he replied, looking at Sin for his approval. Over their training in said field, Deoxys had grown rather attached to Sin.

"Thanks. I'll use it during the mission should the need arise." Sin said, putting the pendant on.

"You're welcome" Deoxys said, bowing away.

"If that is all", Arceus started up again, "I believe it's time for a mission debrief." The Guardians paid close attention at these words.

"You're to report to the Orre region. There were reports of Shadow Pokemon sightings there and we need to pacify this problem before it gets outta hand." she explained, showing an aerial view of the Orre region where they were supposed to go. The Guardians nodded in understanding.

"How are we getting there, Arcy~?" Kora said raising her hand, her other hand holding Mew, who had came over to hug Kora.

"You'll be leaving when the debrief is immediately over." elaborated Arceus, smiling at Koraru, the latter's green eyes sparkling in anticipation.

"Now, the reported sightings talked about how the inflicted Shadow Pokemon were seemingly guarding something deep in an uncharted forest. Your job is to Purify as many as you can and stop the production process. Any questions?" she inquired.

"Yes Sin?" she said, looking at Sin who had his hand raised.

"Will there be humans there?" he asked, bringing up something Arceus had not mentioned at all.

"[Sigh] Always straight to the point, aren't you Sin? Yes, there are humans there. Only about 10-35, which is why I didn't mention it." she said morosely.

"It's okay Arcy" Kora said, rubbing Arceus' left fore leg, "We'll make sure the innocent are safe from harm."

"Thanks Kora. Which also reminds me; keep the Pokemon casualties at a minimum please. Don't want a party of confused, innocent souls here, so no Aura Shruikens, Chris." Arceus said sternly.

"Okay." Chris responded.

"Now, if there are no other questions or concerns... I CAST YOU OFF!" Arceus yelled loudly, making the quartet disappear.

"Was that really necessary?" asked Giratina, rubbing his head in discomfort from the sheer volume of her screech.

"Yes. That was their first time being sent together! I needed to do that!" she defended.

"Sure, you did..." said Dialga, who was walking away as the Meeting was over...

Earth-Unknown Forest-Orre Region-14:29 PM...

A bright light was seen in the eastern part of the forest, scaring the un-Shadowed Pokemon away. When the light dimmed, four figures were seen. One of them was heard squealing.

"WOW! That was so COOL!" said Kora as she readjusted her eyes to her surroundings.

"Quiet Kora, we're in untamed land." said Seje as he looked around.

"[Yelp] Sorry..." she whispered.

"All right... we're in Orre. Let's look around." Sin said.

"Hey, I'm the leader here and I say let's do what Sin said." Seje said. Sin just shrugged and started to go in a direction. Kora and Chris decided to stick together and look. Seje had left in the opposite direction as Sin.

3rd POV-Sin

Sin had looked for the base of operations of a Team Neo complex through the Eastern part of the forest. So far, it had been quiet... too quiet... Suddenly a Shadow Pokemon popped up out of the unsuspecting, rustling bushes Sin had been staring at. The Shadow Pokemon was an Aggron as the horn they were known for was sticking up. But this one' was crooked, almost like...

"You've killed." Sin said, noticing crimson stains around Aggron's mouth, hands, and head. The aforementioned roared in response.

"Sorry, can't allow that to proceed. You must be put down." Sin said again, pulling out a Desert Eagle with a Suppressor and pointing it at the Shadow Aggron. The latter growled in anger. Sin pulled the trigger, the bullet headed towards the Shadow Pokémon's head.

It ricocheted...

Sin had to move outta the way as the bullet came back at him at startling speeds.

"So, your armor can't be penetrated, huh?" he said getting off the ground, putting his Desert Eagle back. Then he pulled out his bowie knife.

"It's OK; I like a challenge." he said, charging forward. The Shadow Aggron rushed to meet him...

3rd POV-Seje

"It's SO boring out here! I swear if I see one more bush that rustles for nothing, I'm shooting everything..." Seje grumbled as he walked on through the Western part of the forest. He had been watching the bushes near him rustle, only for when he investigate for it to be nothing there.

Seje was just about to ask one of the others if they found anything of interest when the ground shook. he was confused as he saw nothing around him to do so. The ground shook more, tremors starting to show up on the ground. Seje was wondering what was starting the sudden earthquakes when he felt a strong wind current. He ducked to the left to avoid the invisible punch.

"Okay, dafuq?" Seje said as he dodged another punch sent to him non-visibly. He had had enough and used Foresight to see what was attacking him. a MASSIVE FIGURE was standing over him, readying another punch.

"Are you shitting me right now? A GOLURK?! How did the damn thing even get here?" Seje questioned loudly as he shifted to 'W' form, lance sword at the ready.

"You really wanna go there, don't you?" Seje asked the Golurk as the latter posted up like a boxer, an Aegislash on its hip...

"En-Garde, mothafucka." he said, readying for a fight...

3rd POV-Chris and Kora

The lovebirds-to-be had run into a couple of Shadow Pikachus, making Kora squeal in fright and kawaii-ness and Chris into protecting her. The Mouse Pokemon of the shadows weren't that much of a problem; it was Kora's cries.

"AHHH! IT'S ANOTHER ONE CHRIS!, "IF YOU WEREN'T A SHADOW, I'D HUG YOU TO DEATH!" were common shrieks into the air. Chris was about to tell Koraru to keep it down politely when the ground in front of him exploded, making him stumble backwards. Out of the crater that formed was a Shadow Nidoking and a Shadow Nidoqueen, both looking menacing.

"Kora, be careful! These two might be a challenge!" Chris yelled to Kora, getting his armor ready.

"Okay, Chris-kun!" she said in response, making her barrier to protect from any attacks sent her way. The Shadow Nidoqueen looked her way, but Chris stopped her before she could move.

"No... Your quarrel is with me..." Chris growled, being protective of Kora, who took his actions to heart. Chris raised his fists, ready to protect himself and Kora from the terrible Nido-duo...

Back to Sin...

"You're through." Sin said to the Shadow Aggron, who had been dealt another blow to its armor, where several large cuts were seen, bleeding profusely.

"You can't keep fighting; just give up." Sin said, ducking outta the way of another Head Charge from the Shadow Pokemon known as Aggron.

"Fine, don't say I didn't warn you." Sin said, molding into the shadows with Shadow Sneak, the dark forest providing excellent cover for him. The Shadow Aggron looked around for the target in his territory, losing his patience and roaring out Hyper Beams everywhere. Sin dodged these with ease, his training coming in handy as the Hyper Beams were coming at fast speeds.

"Time to end this..." Sin whispered as he prepped his Trespasser, a sniper rifle of his own design for armor like or similar to Aggron. Sin took aim, making sure to hit the Shadow Aggron in the right place...the eyes...

Sin had got locked-on and fired the silent bullet, the Aggron not even expecting it nor hearing it as it went through the cornea of his left eye and out the right. The Shadow Aggron roared in pain, alerting the others of his sorrow, before falling forward, dead. Sin looked at his work before remembering something.

"Oh Yeah!" he went up to the dead body of the Shadow Aggron, and cut its horn off. He can use the metal for making his Full Metal Jacket bullets. He looked back at the body of the Shadow Aggron, wondering who in their right minds would think that Pokemon should be like this...

Back to Chris and Kora...

"Chris, look out!" Kora yelled, making a shield of energy to protect him from the surprise Poison Sting.

"Thanks Kora!" he said back, reengaging the Nidoqueen in fisticuff combat. The Nidoking had gone down from a mean uppercut to the jaw while it was distracted by a loud cry, courtesy of Chris. The bad that came out of it?

The damn body was shooting Poison Stings like a machine gun.

Periodically, Kora would have to move or conjure a barrier for herself and Chris to keep from being attacked from them.

"Take that!" Chris yelled, socking the Nidoqueen in the head, making her fall and the duo to cheer in victory...

Making Kora forget to keep the barriers going...

"AHH!" Chris cried out, a poisonous needle in his leg, which he hurried to dig out.

"Chris-kun!" Kora yelled worriedly," Are you Ok?"

"I'm fine..." Chris says, even though he had a blue blush on his face.

"No you're not! Maybe we should head back to the Hall..." Kora trailed off, but Chris was adamant.

"No... We're gonna do this mission; it's only our first and we were gonna get hurt doing them." Chris said, sounding like a really really strong guy with armor on in a kingdom where no one appreciates his wisdom.

"Okay, if you say so, Chris-kun..." Kora said, a little saddened that Chris wouldn't stop.

"Can you heal this?" Chris asked, wondering why she hadn't started yet.

"I'm not good at relieving poison yet; I'll need further training. Plus, this is upgraded poison, it would take a lot more than one of my spells to get rid of it. We would have to wait 'til we get back." she elaborated, feeling disappointed in herself for not mastering Poison Healing.

"It's OK, Kora... I'll try to ignore it." he said, getting up with a slight limp, " Besides, that training with the Regis make me take pain less, and my Aura can help slow down its spread. I'll be fine." he assured her.

"Alright, let's keep moving then." Kora said, still worried about her crush-crush-crushle...

Back to Seje...

"Are you done yet? I REALLY need to get going." he said, dodging another tired swing from the Golurk, who had become increasingly tired from one of Seje's spells. Hey, he can dabble in magic, too.

'Help...' A voice said, making the Leader of the Guardians be on guard.

'Please... Release me...' the voice said, sounding like it was coming from the...

The Golurk decided to slash at Seje with the Aegislash he had with him.

'Please help me, human...' the voice said, now coming from the Aegislash.

"How?" Seje asked, now his attention shifting from the Shadow Golurk and the Aegislash.

"Pu-ur-rify the ... beast...' the Aegislash said.

"The beast?... What, the Golurk? I tried that, already." Seje said in response, dodging a very slow slash that embedded the Aegislash into the ground for a few moments.

'Ye-es...' was all the Aegislash said before being pulled out of the ground.

"Alright, I'll try my best." Seje said, switching to his 'A-3' form, a metal component on his left arm.

" ASPIS, SHIELD ME!" he yelled as the Golurk came in for one more swipe. The Aegislash hit the shield, not hurting it and the force being absorbed by the shield. Blades shot outta the shield's interior, making it look dangerous. Then, Seje threw it, a white trail of energy tailing behind it.

'Direct it to the head...' the Aegislash said, being move to deflect the shield like the last time.

"'K." he said, using Psychic on Aspis, redirecting it from the Shadow Golurk's chest to its diminutive head of the artificial persuasion. The shield went towards the Golurk's head, the latter not being able to swat Aspis away in time and was promptly hit on its cerebral cortex.

"Did it work?" he asked the Aegislash, who was teetering for some reason.

'Yes... Catch me, ' the Aegislash said, floating towards Seje as the Shadow Golurk released it. Said Golurk began to shine brightly, the blackness around the seal on its chest signifying its earlier Shadow status disappearing. When the light died down, the Golurk fell to the ground, making a LOT of noise. Seje pulled out one of his old Pokeballs and threw one at the Aegislash, the capture being successful with no resistance.

"You won't regret this..." Seje said to the Pokeball. "Now..." He touched the communicator, praying that he could be near one of the others. Sin answered.

'Yeah, Seje?' Sin asked on the other line.

'Can you converge to my location?' Seje said.

'Yeah, why?' Sin questioned.

'I found the base and Purified a Golurk. Tell Chris if you see him that I got him a birthday present.' he replied, smirking.

'Oh really? I'll be there in a sec with the others; I just found Chris.' Sin concluded, cutting the connection.

"And now I play the waiting game... Hey, you up? I wanna play 'I Spy'." Seje says, sitting next to the Golurk, who was face-down.

Back To Chris and Kora...Again...

Chris and Kora had decided to head in another direction-or more specifically, whatever made that cry- when Sin appeared behind them.

"Guys." he sad, startling both of them.

"Oh! Hey Sin-kun! When did you get here?" Kora said, sounding frigging adorable despite her mood.

"I wanted to tell ya that Seje wanted us to rendezvous at these coordinates." he said, letting them look at the coordinates Seje had given Sin.

"Alright, let's go." Chris said, limping a little bit, not going unnoticed by Sin...

Seje's Location...

"Okay, I give up! You're no fun!" Seje yelled out as the Golurk stirred, but the Golurk's mind was very active.

'You couldn't recognize the color of my chest seal? How disappointing...' the Golurk trailed off, smirk evident in his tone.

"Now you listen here, mister! I won't be-"

"Be what, Seje?" a voice behind Seje said, making him land on the Golurk, hard.

"Ouch, a little warning next time, eh Sin?" he said, grumbling as Sin and the others showed up.

"Hey there Seje-kun! Did you find you a new boyfriend?" Kora said, smiling.

"N-no! This is Chris' gift. He's a snarky one and he'd be a sparring buddy for you when you have days off." Seje elaborated, pointing at the Golurk in question.

"Cool! But I don't have a Pokeball to catch him with..." Chris said, sighing at the prospect of a new partner, but remembering that he didn't have any Pokeballs on him.

"Don't worry, Chris! That's why I didn't come unprepared for this scenario. Why do you think Arceus didn't mention which method we use to get any innocents to the Hall?" Seje explained, catching the Golurk and tossing the Pokeball at Chris so the ball can complete the capture in his hands.

"Thanks Seje!" Chris said.

"Now let's get moving. That base isn't too far from here." Sin said, nodding to Seje, who switched to 'A-4' form-Angel- and took off to the skies as a distraction for the base's sensors.

"Let's move." Sin commanded, the other two nodding.

The trio moved quickly, not wanting to waste time but also making sure there were no more encounters, but the fallen bodies of some ahead of them suggested that Seje took care of that. They proceeded ahead, until the trees they were walking through dispersed suddenly, ending at a clearing. The clearing led to an abandoned warehouse that was fenced and heavily guarded, it seemed.

Then Seje started some shit.

"HEY, ASSHOLES!" a voice in the skies yelled, catching the trio's attention. The guards on the ground looked up as well, their Shadow Pokemon as well-welly-well.

"Prepare for... HERO TIME, BITCHES!" Seje yelled, doing a backflip, shifting forms and coming out of the light in his 'N' form, akimbo pistols at the ready. He fires, the velocity and KE doing a great job dwindling the front door's guards. They fired back, but the shield Kora conjured kept him safe.

'Chris, go Juggernaut and catch me!' Seje called through the Com. Chris nodded and turned to Kora.

"Be safe for me, okay Chris-kun?" she said, leaving a hand on Chris' shoulder before he walks away for some distance. Then, Chris pounded his fists together, making his armor ripple and shift from the force. The armor began to morph and shape around Chris until the red armor was covering the whole of Chris' body. This was his first-time, after finding out the trigger for it, activating Juggernaut Mode, a form of armor that renders Chris impervious to front-line assault and gunfire.

"Here I come!" Chris cried out, taking off at a fast pace, knocking through the guards that tried getting in his way. After a while, Seje's descent began to slow for a bit, then right before he could make contact with dirt and grass, Chris ran up and caught him.

"Had fun?" Chris questioned, deactivating his Juggernaut.

"We haven't even gotten in yet! You ain't seen nothing yet." Seje said loudly.

'Guys, bring yourselves! We're heading in; Chris got rid of the guards.' Seje said through the Com. The other two arrived in no time. Then, the quartet walked through the front gates, passing by the dead bodies of human guards. Kora shivered. They walked to the front doors and knocked.

Literally knocked on the door.

"Who the fuck is that?!" A voice behind the door said.

"Okay, guys, this is what we do. Sin, I need you in the shadows, you're putting your Trespasser to work. Kora, your shields may need a little over-time from this little plan of mine. Chris, you and me are charging in. You go Tank and I'll use Aspis as a distraction for Sin to take down any stragglers. Any Shadow Pokemon encountered leave them to me; Aspis is retrofitted with Purity Blades. Any questions?" he said, whispering the whole while. The others nodded the affirmative, Sin heading into the shadows of the building, sniper at the ready. Kora got her Staff Of Life glowing for a Barrier.

"Ready to totally kick ass, Chris?" Seje asked, getting Aspis ready for usage.

"Always." he said in reply. The front doors were knocked again...

Inside the Base...

Team Neo stragglers were commanding the scientists from the long-past Team Cipher to make more Shadow Pokemon and Dark Balls(The ones the Masked Marauder used.) A knock on the front doors, reinforces with steel bars, made everyone stop.

"Who the fuck is it?!" a Team Neo grunt called, no one responding. He shrugged and everyone got to work. Then...

[BAM!] The front doors opened quickly, letting in a trio of assorted teens-one holding a shield, one wearing armor and the last one, which was a girl, falling behind to stay outta lines of fire.

" MY SHIELD WILL PROTECT ME!" the front teen said, raising his shield to deflect the oncoming bullets. Shadow Pokemon at their arsenal began charging their most powerful Special-Attacks. The various beams and orbs launched quickly at the shield-wielder.

But they went inside it.

The Team Neo grunts watched in shock as the boy's shield began to glow a bright red and white color, very sharp blades coming out.

"Idiots..." the boy said. Then, one of the Team Neo grunts suddenly went down, neck pooling blood from a single gunshot wound. The rest looked for the shooter, but it was in vain as the more they looked, the more that went down. Soon, there was a few grunts left. The scientist were being held hostage by them.

"Well, what are ya gonna do now, kids?" The grunt leader said, a scrawny scientist held at gun-point. "Us or them?"

The boy with the shield spoke up first. "How about neither?" This confused the leader, he thought they were here for the scientists.

"Wha-at do you me-" The Cipher scientist never got to finish as the shield-boy threw the shield like a guy off a movie. The shield hit the Shadow Pokemon, moving quickly before all of them were hit by its blades before returning to the boy, the inflicted Shadow Pokemon not even flinching.

"Hah!", one Team Neo grunt said," The stupid Capt. America shit only works in the movies, kiddies!" he said, laughing.

"Too bad this isn't a movie..." the boy replied mockingly, pointing at a nearby Shadow Tyranitar.

"The fuck are you-" The grunt from earlier was cut off as the Shadow Pokemon, one by one, were enveloped in beams of lights, blinding the Team neo grunts and the hostage scientists. When the lights dispersed, any indications of being a Shadow Pokemon were gone from the Pokemon as they fell to the ground, unconscious. The grunts looked in horror as their Pokemon were beaten.

"Hey, Kora", the boy started, " I need you to get that scientist right there; he has what we need for info." The girl of their group began to move confidently towards the Leader of the Team Neo grunts, making him tense and shake.

"Stay back or I'll blow his brains out!" the leader said, holding the barrel of the gun he was holding close to the scared-shitless scientist.

"Hurt him or her and I'll beat you to death." the armored adult said in a deadly tone, making the last of the Team Neo grunts' confidence go away.

"I-I m-mean i-it. I'll shoot." the leader said, putting on a burst of confidence.

Even tough it was short-lived.

The leader didn't even have time to pull the trigger when the girl came closer when a bullet went through his head, making him drop his weapon and fall to the ground, dead before he hit it. The grunts in response to this, promptly surrendered with their hands up.

"Alright, that was fun. Sin, you can come out now." the shield boy says. Then, out of the shadows, a teen of 18 popped out with a sniper in hand, smirking in victory. The mystery of their leader's death was solved with his presence.

End Game...

The scientist for further information had his memory of his works taken away, leaving him unable to do any more Shadow Pokemon experiments. The Team Neo grunts were showed no mercy and promptly killed in a line-up. Seje looked on.

"[Sigh] Mission complete, guys!" he said, holding his hand out for a high-five.

"Yay! We did it!" Kora said, making Chris' spirits raise as she joined in the high-five.

"Yep, we did it!" he said, adding his hand.

"Was there any doubt?" Sin said, adding his 2-cents and putting his hand in the high-five.

"To the GoA!" Seje yelled randomly as they prepped to teleport back.

"What's the GoA, Seje-kun?" Kora asked, curious.

"Guardians...of Awesomeness!" Seje left it at that as they teleported back to the Hall with the Pokemon from the warehouse and the exterior...
