Here Comes the Sun

Meadow, a harvest mouse, accidentally sees more of a tall, handsome okapi than she should while at a sparsely-populated gym, and the accidental exposure becomes a springboard for passion.

The short, supple harvest mouse, glancing at her gold-and-pink reflection in a full-body mirror, adjusted her sports bra before wriggling into a navy-blue sports t-shirt. She took a slow, cleansing breath. It had been a long, cold, and lonely winter. But, hey, it was April, now! The warming trend had begun and summer was practically around the corner. Which meant, among other things, being outside more. Exposing more of her pelt. And getting back into shape.

Shape.

Right ...

She poked at her own hips. And then her rump. She wasn't overweight or anything, but losing a few pounds here or there wouldn't hurt. You're not in your twenties anymore, Meadow. Even a mouse's metabolism slows down eventually. A little bit, anyway. You can do this! Stuffing her belongings into a backpack, she nodded and said, aloud, to the empty female locker room, "I can do this!"

That's right!

Positive reinforcement.

Think good thoughts.

"No pain, no gain," she told herself, stowing her backpack in a locker before venturing out into the hallway. Not a fur in sight. Place was virtually deserted. Nobody went to the gym on Saturday evenings. Which, admittedly, being on the introverted side, was why she'd chosen to come. No one would be watching her, and she wouldn't have to socialize with them in turn. I'm just going to exercise quietly. No distractions.

She approached a half-open door.

Hmm.

The male locker room?

The mouse stopped, looking up and down the hallway. Silence.

Is the door jammed? Should I shut it?

Well.

A quick, curious peek inside. At first glance, the room appeared to be empty. Looked less comfortable than the female locker room. Point for us, I guess? She shrugged and reached for the door handle but quickly pulled back as she spotted someone. Off in the corner. A single fur. Or, well, a hoofed creature. Horse? Zebra? No, more like a mix between the two.

Meadow swallowed.

The male stripped his shirt off.

He didn't have a full-blown pelt. More like a hairy hide. His abdomen and back were a solid reddish-dark, while his arms and legs had those prominent black-and-white zebra stripes. His muzzle was a mix of all three colors, and there were little horn-like nubs atop his head, next to big, flappy ears. He looked so strong!

Her pupils dilated.

Is he a half-breed?

No, he's ...

Okapi!

The word just came to her.

He's an okapi.

Yeah. That's it. Wow! I've never seen one in person.

Mm-h.

Well, now that you have, Meadow, let's be on our way, hmm? You're spying.

I'm not spying, she defended!

I'm not.

The door was already open. I'm just ...

Without warning, the okapi dropped his pants. And, in the process, out flopped his ...

Oh, my God!

Meadow's blue eyes boggled.

Is that?

It?

The female harvest mouse, transfixed, lost her breath and did a double-take. Knees wobbling like gelatin, she forced herself to scurry away before she was spotted. Or before she fainted. Or both.

Oh, my, oh, my, oh, my ...

I can't believe I just saw that!

Her eyes darted, guiltily.

I wasn't supposed to see that.

That thing was ... it was! Really! You know?

Calm down, Meadow. For heaven's sake! Let's just calm down. It's not like you haven't seen one before, right? She took a short, flustered breath and nodded. Right. Of course! I mean, sure, I've seen plenty! Well. A few, at least. But all from different species! All shapes and sizes. Mm-hmm. She cleared her throat. Had a few in me, too. Yeah. So, there you go! What's the big deal? It's a part of nature. It's perfectly natural. Half the world has them! Common as mud. Yup. Nothing to get excited about. It's just a big, big ...

Mistake.

Yes! An accident. No pre-meditation involved. I wasn't the one that jarred the door open. I was just an innocent passerby. No reason to feel awkward.

Then why are your ears pulsing?

You're aroused, aren't you?

I am.

I'm so aroused ...

She rubbed at her face and twitchy whiskers, taking slow, deep breaths. Feeling very conflicted.

I'm a voyeur, now. I'm horrible!

Oh, come on, Meadow. That thing was ... I mean ...

Like he wouldn't want furs to see that?

Still trembling, she entered the main workout area and hopped on a treadmill, ropy, prehensile tail whipping about frantically. Don't think, okay? Just scurry. That's what you came here to do.

So, that's what she did. For five, ten minutes, until her fur was lightly matted with sweat and she had to stop for a lengthy drink of water. Guh. She doubled over, panting. Am I really that out of shape?

Well, you need to do another stint, so suck it up.

A few more minutes on the treadmill, and she'd had enough.

Whew!

I need something less intense.

Blinking, she spotted a rack of basketballs along the wall. There's a court, here, isn't there? In back? Right. I'll dribble about a bit, shoot some shots. Yeah, sounds good. Play some hoops. I love basketball. Where you toss a large object into a hole and score ...

Her ears got hot again.

Dammit!

Meadow had been playing for about fifteen minutes when she was interrupted by the sound of a second ball.

Bounce, bounce, bounce!

Oh, great. My shots were just beginning to fall! Now, I have to make small talk. Whiskers twitching, she reluctantly glanced over her shoulder and ...

"Hey," said the okapi.

Her eyes widened, soft, feminine voice almost catching in her throat. "Hi ... "

"Mind if I play, too?"

She shook her head, dumbly.

"I'm Sol."

Don't look between his legs. Don't look between his legs. Don't look ...

"And, uh, you are?" he prodded.

"Oh." She swallowed, moving her basketball around her hips in a circle. Again and again. "Meadow."

"Pretty name." He gave her a winning smile, palming his own basketball in a showy manner. Then slapping it with the other hand. "What you doing at the gym sat such an odd hour?"

Play it cool, mousey. You have nothing to hide. "I could ask you the same question."

"I'm polishing my guns," the okapi joked, flexing both his arms.

"You, uh ... you look muscular enough." All over. Even in his pants.

"Heh. Well, I'm getting some love handles." He was hovering around two hundred fifty pounds. "It was a harsh winter, you know? All grey and depressing. Cookies demanded to be eaten." Especially the ones with chocolate chips in them. Milk, dark, and white. He didn't discriminate.

"I don't blame you there." She smiled, shyly. He likes cookies? Now that she was talking to him, face to face? He was becoming more than just a great-looking penis. "I'm here to make sure my backside doesn't get overly cushioned."

"Some like 'em with a bit of give," he teased, knowingly. He glanced at her shirt. Her breasts, actually. But, hey, they were beneath her shirt! And female mouses were known for their attributes. "Butler, huh?" he said, reading the team logo.

"Yeah."

"Final Four?" he remembered.

"Fours. Plural." She dribbled her ball, turned around, and shot it. Too much lift. It bounced off the back of the iron and to the hardwood. "We went to two of them."

"Oh, right. Still! Pretty impressive for a small school."

"Who you calling small?" she challenged, lightly. The okapi had to be six foot four, five? About a foot taller than her. She had to look up to make eye contact.

"Petite, then?"

"Granted, that was five years ago, now." She fetched her basketball and dribbled it between her legs, trying to look cool. It ended up bouncing off her knee. She blushed and picked it up. "Those tournament runs, I mean ... "

"I'm sure you'll be back. Your program's got a good culture to it. Very scrappy."

"Never know, do you?"

"Well, my team hasn't been in, oh, thirty-five years? We're hard-luck cases. Sad trombones and all that. So, I wouldn't complain." He watched her move about. Rump looks fine to me. Always liked a good mouse tail.

"So, you're a ... "

"Mm? Purdue fan," Sol clarified. "Unfortunately."

"Right." Meadow smiled, shyly. "I can live with that."

"But can you live with my killer jump shot?" The okapi dribbled his ball and did a fade-away jumper. Swish! "Ooh!" He spun around, arms in the air victoriously and hooves clip-clopping on the court.

"Nice," she admitted. "Did you play basketball? Officially? I mean, you're so tall and well-built and ... " Hung. She swallowed. Shut up, Meadow.

"High school, definitely. Could've played for a junior college or something. Lower divisions. Got a few scholarship offers, even." He stretched, proudly. "But the degree I really needed was at Purdue, and I wasn't making that team. A bit beyond my skill level." He picked up his ball. "So, wanna play 'horse?' Or shall we play 'okapi?' Or 'mouse?' They all have five letters."

"Um, sure." Her whiskers twitched. She bit her lower lip with her prominent buckteeth. "Makes no difference to me."

"We'll play 'mouse,' then," he said. "And that shot I made? Totally counts as the first attempt."

"What?" she protested.

"Hey, rules are rules!"

"That doesn't make any sense."

"No, but it sounds official. Now, go on. Unless you're afraid you'll miss ... "

She did miss.

And, minutes later, Sol was comfortably leading. M-O to M-O-U-S.

"This is the elimination shot," he reminded her.

"I know," Meadow deadpanned. "I'm normally much better than this." You're thinking too much, Meadow. Basketball's a game of muscle memory. Turn your brain off! But that was hard to do when she'd seen him naked and he was standing right there, close enough to touch. The universe hates me, doesn't it?

"You'll find your stroke, eventually. I've got a sweet one from beyond the arc," the okapi insisted, retreating beyond the three point line.

At the words 'stroke,' Meadow's eyes drifted.

He caught her this time. Looking at his crotch? "Um, what ... ?"

"Huh?" She blinked.

"What are you doing?" he whispered.

"Nothing," she quickly insisted.

He shook his nub-horned, flappy-eared head. "No. No, you were staring with saucer eyes at my ... "

"I saw your penis!" she blurted, squeakily, breasts heaving. Then, more quietly, "It was an accident."

"Wait ... what?" His own eyes widened, and the basketball slipped from his grasp. "What'd you say?"

The harvest mouse fidgeted in place. And explained, in one long breathless sentence, "Someone left the male locker room door propped open, and I was walking past and you were undressing and then ... "

"Seriously?" He went a bit slack-jawed.

"It was a fluke! I swear ... "

"Oh." Sol rubbed his neck, sheepishly. His hide getting extremely hot, especially in the face. "Oh, boy." A deep exhale. To say he was caught completely off-guard would be an understatement. He shook his head, trying to come up with a reply that wasn't also an exclamation. He eventually asked, meekly, "Did you, uh, like it?"

"What?" Meadow's turn to hesitate. Did he just ask that? "Well ... "

"Simple yes or no question."

"It's ... "

"Yes?" he pressed, regaining his confidence. Or doing a good job faking it.

"Thick."

"And?"

"Black."

He crossed his muscular arms, approvingly. "Go on ... "

"Long? Like a horse. Or, uh ... not that I'd know," she quickly amended. "But I've seen pictures." Or porn videos online. Maybe.

"Heh, we're similar species in some regards. But, actually, the closest genetic relative to okapis are giraffes." He pointed to the giraffe-like horn-nubs on his head as proof.

"Really ... "

"Mm-hmm." He picked up his basketball. "Being 'big' isn't all it's cracked up to be, though. I mean, some females can't comfortably take it all ... "

"Oh?" Her throat got dry.

"Oh, yeah," he confided. "It's a bummer. For me, anyway. Of course, they love to touch it." A pause. "And suck it."

The mouse rubbed at her whiskery cheeks.

"And some, even knowing they can't take it all, still want to ride as much as they can handle in true cowgirl ... "

"That's, uh," she interrupted, tugging on her t-shirt collar, "nice to know."

"Is this making you uncomfortable? I mean, you brought it up," he pointed out, smartly.

"Me?" she said, forcing a nervous giggle. "Uncomfortable? Heh!"

"Your ears are turning a deeper color," Sol observed, softly. "You were definitely taking mental snapshots of my loins. You didn't take any real pictures, did you? Back in the locker room? Maybe I should check your phone." He stepped toward her, hooves clicking on the floor.

"I wasn't! I didn't! No. No, I'm just ... "

"Thinking about my cock."

"Look, I was ... "

"Relax," he pleaded. He'd been playing with her, as harmless revenge, after her confession. Turning the tables. But, ultimately, it was flattering to be lusted after, even if it was an accident. She seems genuinely sorry. I don't want her to feel bad. "I'm not gonna bite. I don't have the teeth for it. I'm an herbivore." He finally took the three-point shot. It wasn't a swish. But it went through the hoop. "Your turn."

Meadow, hot and bothered, banked her shot off the glass. Didn't come close to the rim.

"I win!" the okapi insisted.

"Uh-huh."

His ears flicked, awkwardly. "Guess I shouldn't crow about beating a girl, though, huh?"

"I'm just having an off night," Meadow mumbled, bashfully, avoiding eye contact. She was so embarrassed.

"Hmm. Maybe." He gave her a healthy look-over. She was cute.

"Look, I'm really ... "

"I feel like, since you have something on me," he interrupted, getting an idea, "I gotta have something on you. We gotta settle the score."

She twitched. "What do you mean?"

"Fair's fair. Supper? Your treat?"

"Supper?"

"What did you think I was gonna ask for?" he posed.

The mouse didn't answer. No reason to further incriminate herself. Just said, eventually, "Where do you want to go?"

The okapi glanced at the time. "Got a few hours 'til midnight. Wanna try someplace close? Casual? Pizza?"

Feeling a bit of whiplash from the sudden turn of events, Meadow took a deep breath and said, "Sure. Okay." Never mind that the pizza will negate all the exercise I just did! I'm not about to turn him down, though. I mean, he's being so nice and all, and, well, it's not like I've got ...

"Good!" He paused. "Well, I guess we should both shower and change back into our street clothes. Maybe you should go first, though." He winked, making a 'ladies first' gesture. "Just so I can keep tabs on where you're at."

"So, what's your story?" Sol asked, chomping into a slice of vegetable lover's pizza. Green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It was forty minutes later, and they were at a ma-and-pop joint a few miles away. One of the better places in town. It was much busier than the gym.

"I don't have one." Meadow, in the opposite side of the booth, stirred her lemon-lime soda with a straw. "I'm plain. Just like my food, here." She nodded at her slice of plain cheese. Which was, in spite of her lament, absolutely delectable. She hungrily picked it up and began to eat, dishy ears swiveling. Music was playing. Al Stewart? She tapped her bare foot-paws on the floor, idly.

"Psh!" the okapi went between mouthfuls. "Everyone has a story."

"I don't."

"No?"

"I'm boring," Meadow insisted, sipping her drink.

"Oh, I don't believe that for a second."

"Why not?"

"You play basketball. That's cool. You agreed to go on this date with me. That's even cooler!"

Meadow flushed, nibbling on more pizza.

"You also have an awesome smile. The way those buckteeth poke out, and your whiskers go all over ... " Sol waved his black fingers about in demonstration. "Your pelt is ... like, so warm to look at. All golden and stuff. Gold's valuable, you know? You're like the Fort Knox of furs."

"How so?" The mouse tilted her head.

"I want to break into your clothes and get rich."

She put a paw in front of her muzzle to keep from squeaking hysterically. Or maybe groaning. Or both? "I've ... I admit, no one's ever used that line on me. That's, uh, very original."

He grinned, dabbing his muzzle with a napkin. "I'm an okapi. Everything about us is unique."

Meadow finished her current slice and asked, shyly, "So, uh, what do you do?"

"I'm in local government."

"Really?" She raised a brow.

"Heh, don't get too impressed. It's nothing important. Just the parks department. Entry level position." He chomped on a breadstick. Then dipped it into a cheese cup and took another bite. "I only graduated two years ago." Chew-chew. "So ... "

"How old are you?"

"Twenty-five. Why? How, uh ... how old are you?"

Meadow hesitated. "How old do you think I am?"

"Late twenties? No offense. You seem older than me. Personality-wise. Not, like ... well, you come off as more mature, I mean."

"I'm thirty-one," she admitted, nodding quietly.

It was the okapi's turn to raise a brow. "Really, now?" He liked older females. They were at the peak of their fertile powers and were experienced enough to know what they wanted. Total turn on. He shifted in his seat. "What about you? What do you do?" he asked, trying to stay civil.

"Office stuff, mainly."

"Like a secretary?"

"Something like that," she confessed, nibbling on some salad. Her whiskers twitched again.

"Nothing to be ashamed of."

She nodded, bashfully. "It's just ... "

"Don't say boring. We went over that," Sol insisted, smiling brightly.

This encouraged Meadow to smile, too. "Can I ask you something?"

"Shoot."

"Okapis aren't exactly native to the American Midwest. You're honestly the only one I've ever seen."

"You saying I'm exotic?" He waggled his brows and pretended to polish his horn-nubs.

"Heh. Just wondering how you wound up in small-town Indiana ... "

"It's a long story. From what I recall, though, harvest mouses ... " He pointed at her. "That's the kind you are, right?" That or a golden mouse.

"Harvest, yeah. Most furs think I'm a 'field' mouse, but field mouses are actually ... well, it's confusing." She cleared her throat and added, "We're the only mouse with a prehensile tail, though."

"Oh? Neat. Bet that comes in handy," he murred.

Her ears swiveled, hotly. "Sometimes ... "

"Your species is native to Europe, though, right?"

She nodded. "My ancestors were from England. And Portugual. One side met the other once they got over here, and ... but that was well over a century ago. I don't consider myself anything other than American."

"I have dual citizenship, myself. Mother from one country, father from another."

"Yeah?"

He nodded and told her the story. Which then led to travel tales. She described her trip to Alaska last summer, leaving out the part about the passionate fling she'd had with Homer, a coyote-husky hybrid. She showed Sol some scenic pictures she still had on her phone, and they talked about movies, shows. Then back to sports again. Basketball and auto racing, mainly.

After a while, the okapi looked around said, "Crowd's thinned out. They're probably getting ready to close. It's almost ten."

"Whoa. Is it?" the mouse asked, blinking in surprise.

"Time flies, right?" Sol said.

"Yeah. I guess it does ... " Her whiskers drooped, subconsciously. She seemed disappointed.

He noticed and sat up straighter. "Well. You wanna ... I don't know." He shrugged, trying to figure out a fancy way to ask her. Instead, he just casually suggested, "Wanna go back to my place?"

"Your place?" she squeaked, shyly. Him? And me? In a place?

"Uh-huh."

She smoothed at her arm-fur. "Why?"

He smiled, boyishly. "I don't know. Can't say coffee, can I? Doubt your species handles caffeine very well."

"No." That's why she'd gotten the lemon-line soda. It was caffeine-free.

"We're just having such a good time, right? Shame to let it end," Sol continued. "Maybe I can help you relax? You seem tense."

"That's just a side-effect of being a mouse," she insisted.

"Any cures?"

"Just a few temporary relievers."

"Wonder if I can provide one," he murmured, hoping like hell she'd agree. She was too good a catch to let walk away. Maybe she didn't see that. But he did. "It's not far. You can follow me." They'd driven separate. "Unless you'd rather go home and watch TV or something." Saturday was where shows went to die. Everyone knew that. There'd be nothing on.

"Well, I have," she stressed, with an academic nod, "been meaning to finish Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray."

"Heh! I'm not sure if that's a euphemism or not." He stared at her breasts, again. He wondered what they looked like when hanging free. "Seriously, though. You can't be busy ... "

"What are we gonna do at your place?" she wondered again, idly, tracing a finger around the rim of her soda glass.

Sol's nostrils flared, voice getting low. "Really, Meadow. I'm trying to be a gentle-fur, here," he insisted, eyes glowing with desire. "Don't make me spoil the illusion."

She looked down, thinking. Do I play hard to get on purpose? I like being chased and wooed. That's for sure.

"Well?"

Paws rubbing at her cheeks, she gave him a coy look. Her whiskers twitched. He's so easygoing, down-to-earth. Funny and charming. Those are good qualities, right? I'm really enjoying myself. And he obviously finds me attractive. I don't think he's faking it. And, well, I obviously like what I've seen of him.

"Meadow?"

"Um. So. How big of a tip should I leave?" was all she asked, standing up. Not giving a direct answer.

"Whatever you feel comfortable with," was the rumbling reply, looking directly into her eyes.

She blushed, fumbling in her purse and leaving five dollars for their server before heading up front to pay the bill.

"I'll wait outside?" Sol said, one last time.

"Yeah." A short breath, nodding bashfully. "I'll, uh, be right there." Meadow avoided looking at Sol. But she heard him leave. The sound of hooves on a hard floor was very distinct. She handed the register clerk, a young male raccoon, her bill and twenty dollars. While she waited for the change, she began twitching again. You realize what you just agreed to? I'm gonna go home with him. We're gonna ... you know. Not have coffee.

She put a paw over her heart. Why do I always fall for the tall, handsome strangers? I'm such a sucker for a dominant male. I'm such a romantic sap.

"Here you go," the raccoon said, handing back the change, a receipt, and a few peppermints. The ringtail couldn't hold back a chuckle as he added, "Have a good night, Miss."

"Thanks ... " She padded away, lobes burning hot. That kid knows! Everyone knows what we're gonna do! My body language must be screaming it. My ears are like billboards. They've been flashing ...

" ... 'fuck me,' in big, bold letters," Sol huffed, confirming her suspicions. "All night." The bed creaked in the dark. "And, man, I ... mm-h. I wanna. I really, really wanna."

It was half an hour later. A squeak slipped out of Meadow's golden, whiskery maw. The blinds in Sol's bedroom were shut, mostly preventing the streetlights from making it into the okapi's apartment. But there was just enough incidental illumination to make out the important features. To make out that he, even in striped silhouette, was gloriously naked. And so, too, was she. Their clothes hadn't made it out of the living area. He'd actually carried her in here. She'd swooned inside.

"Hope you saved room for dessert, cause I'm gonna take you," he huffed. "I'm gonna make you mine ... "

Meadow mumbled, incoherently. Her head was swimming. Supple breasts were being kissed, now.

"Can't quite hear ya, sweetie." The male drifted from one hard nipple to the next. "Love your tits."

"I ... I'm just ... " Spit it out, Meadow! But she couldn't. She was too flustered. Wanting this as badly, if not worse, than he did. And yet she was so damn shy about admitting it. Sol found her modesty crazily cute. But she wished she could eclipse it. She wished she wasn't afraid to say she was ...

"A hot, horny mouse?" he guessed, trying to finish her sentence.

She nodded.

"Yeah?" he prodded, affectionately.

"Y-yeah."

"Mm. That's the best kind. Or so I hear." He was eager to find out for sure. The okapi's woodsy scent mingled with her earthy one. Their limbs entwining as he laid atop her. Fur against hide, and oh, she arched. He arched with her and then used his muscular abdomen to force her back down. "I could lick you up like butterscotch. Did I tell you that already?" A pause, filled with audible breathing. "Think I did. Oh, well. It still applies."

"What are you, then?" she wondered.

"Red velvet marble cake," he decided.

"Moist?"

"I'll melt in your mouth, sweet Meadow," he cooed, grinding his hips to hers. "Hey. You wanna know a secret about okapis?"

"W-what?" she managed.

"Our tongues are so long we can lick our own foreheads." He began breathing into one of her large, delicate ears. "I wonder what else they can do," he cooed, tracing his tongue-tip along the rim of her lobe.

The rodent shivered, realizing she was about to find out.

The traces turned to licks, then broad, swirling motions, covering the entire inside of her ear.

"Ah!" she cried, clutching at his back. "Ah-h ... "

"You like?" Sol didn't let up. Licking to her ear-canal, then gliding back, outward, to the rims, and down again. Stopping only to nibble on the edges with his silken lips. "These seem to be slightly erogenous," he observed.

Meadow only writhed beneath him, desperately.

Loving her ecstatic response, loving her noises, loving everything about her, he palmed the other ear, rubbing, gently pinching it while huffing and slobbering on the other. They were hot. And so fragile! He could feel her heartbeat in them. Vaguely make out the capillaries popping in the flesh. He'd never been with a species that was capable of this before. Sensitive ears, yes. But outright ear-sex? How would he know when she'd had an ear-gasm? I wonder how loud she gets when she cums?

He found out soon enough as, gaping like a fish, struggling to take breaths, the mouse felt the heat in her ears 'break,' spilling into her face, her breasts. Seeping down through the entirety of her body. Everything sizzling hot. "Oh-h. Ah!" A few loud squeaks, one after another, and then trembling, pitiful whimpers. "Ah, god ... "

"Was that good for you, sweetie?" he breathed, pulling back to touch his nose to hers.

A weak, disoriented nod. Oh, yes. "I n-need ... water ... "

"Got that hot, huh?" He chuckled, sitting upright. "Be right back," was the excited promise.

Meadow, maneuvering her head into the middle of a comfy, downy pillow, saw the silhouette of his erection. Long, stone-hard, dripping from the tip. She closed her eyes. I feel so good! I want to feel more. I want it. His cock. I want him in me. I want him. I want ...

"Water," he said, handing her a fridge-chilled bottle.

"Oh. Um. Thanks." How long had he been gone? I guess I got lost in my fantasy. She opened her eyes and took it, taking several gulps. Then panting. A smaller sip, and she sighed, heavily, screwing the cap back on, setting it on the bedside stand. Next to his alarm clock. It was nearing 11 PM.

"Don't mention it," he assured, warmly, moving to all fours above her. The mattress sinking under their combined weight. He lowered himself back into position. "Your ears are so, so tasty."

"No one's ever told me that ... "

"Why not?"

"I don't know. They're just ears."

"But on you? They're like ... um ... " A sheepish chuckle as words failed him. I'm not very refined, am I? I wonder if she thinks I'm a stupid jock? "Well, they're nice. All of you is. Especially that furry pussy o' yours," he cooed. "I'd use my tongue down there, too, but I wanna fuck you too bad. I can't really ... don't wanna wait, you know?" He began grinding against her, firmly. "So tight and hot, I bet. Aren't you?"

"I don't, uh ... don't," she stammered, "know."

"Think you do. Think you're just really, really shy. But I like that. It's endearing." He groped at her breasts. "But, if you're really not sure, maybe I should find out and tell you?" he breathed. "Either way, I have to know how you feel." He was panting. "Would you like that?"

She spread her golden-furred legs in response, wrapping them around his trunk-like body. Arms, too. Submissively clinging to him. "Yes."

"Yes, what?"

"Please," she mouthed.

The male didn't waste the opportunity. Just pressed the tip of his sex to hers and shifted his hips, easing them forward. "Ooh, yes, you're a snug ... " A helpless whinny, tossing his head. "Tight l'il thing, uh-huh. I was so ... so, so right. An' wet like a goddam rainforest," Sol slurred, slowly wedging into her. The okapi let her adjust for a moment before really pushing.

She dug her heels into his bare, brush-tailed backside. He felt as thick as he looked. And much longer. There was no way she'd be able to take it all!

"Mm-h." A snort. He sensed her concern. "Tell me when to stop."

Her head rolled aside, ears hot, almost glowing. She'd never felt so full, so physically connected to someone else. And she'd taken a knot before! Her walls clung to his stiff, smooth flesh, stimulating both of them fully. "N-now ... now," she mumbled. There was full and then there was too full. Her eyes flew open as he stuffed her to the breaking point. "There! That's, uh ..."

Sol stopped his penetration, nostrils flaring as he glanced to the spot of their union. Awesome. He found himself wishing he could take a picture or something. "Two-thirds isn't bad for a fur ... mm-f, your size." If she were a female okapi, of course, she'd be able to take it all. But there weren't any female okapis in these parts. Lots of mares, though. He could hilt in them. He'd fucked a few. His last mate had been one, in fact. The breakup had been very, very painful. He twitched awkwardly. But that was the past. The mouse, his present, and maybe his future, felt as awesome as anyone he could remember. I really like her, too. She seems like she needs protected. I've missed having someone to hold and cradle. Get so lonely. "You okay, though?" he asked softly, his hips slowly retreating.

"I'm fine. Ah ... "

He gently thrust back in, stretching her flower. Even the petals seemed to bulge outward. "So wet. Bet you've been wet all night ... "

"Ah-h! Yeah ... "

"You're trembling," he noticed, moving back. And forth. Back and forth. Settling into a non-interrupted rhythm, now. Their genitals making lewd, wet noises. So squishy. "With arousal, I hope?"

"That, too ... " And anxiety. She could still, even adding Sol to the list, count the number of males who'd mounted her on one paw. It wasn't something she did lightly. The intimacy made her feel so very vulnerable, like a glass ballerina. Twirling around. If she fell, she'd surely shatter. And with how huge his cock was, that was a distinct possibility!

The semi-striped okapi eased down upon her, covering her smaller, golden-furred body with his. Hugging her while he humped. Again, he detected her mood. He was good at that. And did his best to reassure her. "You know, Sol is Spanish for sun." A light whine. "So, right now?" He kissed at her neck. She smelled good. "Sun covers meadow." His hands slid under her back, grasping at her ropy-tailed ass. "Hotly, I might add." He pulled the mouse closer and kissed her outright, deeply, before whispering, "We're sorta like poetry."

This touched her, deeply, and she hugged him tighter. His big body. His short-haired hide. It undulated against her, and she melted beneath him. Emotions and physical sensations becoming inseparable. Lust and love orbiting each other equally. She began to lose herself in the act, escaping the bonds of space and time. There was only the bubble of their union. Him and here. They were the universe.

The okapi mumbled against her shoulder, in a rare moment of seriousness, "I know you're anxious. But I'm gonna protect you. I'm gonna make you feel so, so good ... "

Meadow, after a few heavy breaths, could only whisper, "That's so romantic."

"I mean it," he replied, with a hint of bashfulness. "I know we just met, but I do." He was honestly surprised at the stuff suddenly coming out of his mouth! Not that it wasn't genuine. But he didn't consider himself to be very refined. Maybe I should ...

"Kiss me again," she begged.

Wet, passionate noises as their muzzles combined, lips meshing, his mask-like visage and her warm, whiskery one. Eyes closed. Suckles and smacks and tongues touching.

"Mm-h."

His brush-tipped tail whipped about, backside rising, falling. He surged back and forth atop the writhing, wanting mouse. Making out with her. Humping. Hard, harder. Beginning to rock and rattle the bed. The kisses gradually faded. Oh, damn, she was tight! And slick and smooth and hot and, "Y-yeah ... uh, uh-h, yeah!" The pleasure made him light-headed. His cock began to tingle.

Meadow whined like a feral mouse, in high, squeaky pitches, whiskers stiff and tail going limp, a golden, pink-padded paw clumsily reaching down between their writhing bodies to flick and fumble at her clitoris. Her existence lit up when she touched it. "Oh-h ... oh," she cried, bucking up against Sol. She felt like a worm on the hook, a fish on the line. His cock was owning her. No part of her sex went untouched.

He pinned her back down to the bed, rusty-red chest heaving. "T-that's it, sweetie ... take it. Yeah ... "

She sucked air, walls beginning to clench. She felt his hairy, ebony balls jostling into her inner thighs.

Sol grunted, a deep, wild sound, slickly spearing her with his length. Two-thirds of it, anyway. With each thrust, it emerged from her vagina glistening wet, the lower third remaining mostly dry.

Her eyes watered from how much she was taking. Her paw, now damp, quickly fell away from her buzzing bud so she could hug the churning male, tightly. Her tunnel strained, then rippled, and then succumbed to spasms. The rodent's sweaty, shaking paws slapped at the male's backside, grasping, grabbing. Sliding. "Oh! Oh, oh-h!" Fingers alternatingly splayed and then curled, helplessly, as her loins were wracked with orgasm. "Oh!" Juicy, steamy. Nectar seeping from her in clear rivulets. Everything rocked and rolled. Everything sang. She could hardly stand the bliss!

Sol groaned, deeply, head raising up. "Mm-f! Mm!" He felt the rodent losing it. Saw the scrunched, whiny look on her face. Loved that he'd made her cum. He grinned, eyes rolled back. The tingling spread from his cock into his loins. A sudden rush! Planting his striped elbows on either side of her body, he bellowed out as his essence, like a firehose, pulsed and jumped. Electric ejaculations, pleasure zipping through his body, zapping him in shocking, rhythmic bursts. Ten, fifteen seconds, and it was over. But, if asked, he'd swear it went on for minutes. He saw stars! He painted her womb with so much thick, white okapi seed that it was already dripping back out of her and pooling on the sheets.

The mouse, panting shakily, daintily rubbed her partner's back. Up and down, lightly. And then she stopped and hugged him, again. Not wanting to let go.

Sol, meanwhile, slumped and gurgled, stretching his legs until his hooves knocked against a bed-post. He nosed the female tenderly, hugging her back.

Feeling she had to speak, or someone did, Meadow eventually broke the silence and murmured, "That was, uh ... um ... "

"That was ... fun," Sol supplied, happily, nuzzling her matted cheeks. "Lame adjective, isn't it? Sorry. Kinda hard to think."

"It's okay," she whispered, whiskers still numb from her climax. "I can't think, either." Afterglow. It would be a good fifteen, twenty minutes before the euphoric fog lifted. I wonder if this is what being high feels like?

"Splendiferous? Is that a word." Sol began to pull back, slowly. Very slowly. He'd already begun to shrink, but his member was crazily sensitive post-coitus. He sucked air, hide shuddering.

"I think so?"

"We'll go with that, then! That was so, so splendiferous, Meadow." A heavy sigh as he finally flopped out of her, a stream of creamy, sticky semen spilling onto the bed. And collecting on her loin and thigh-fur, too. He began to laugh, embarrassedly. A good thing they weren't genetically compatible. Her poor eggs wouldn't have stood a chance. "We, uh, made a big mess."

"I figured we would." That's what happens when you play with a big cock, isn't it?

"Does it bother you?" he asked, locking gazes. "I know mouses have a thing about tidiness, right?" Or is that just a stereotype? He'd never been with a rodent. This was new ground for him.

She looked back and him, shyly, insisting, "It's alright. It was worth it." A pause. "I apologize if I got really tongue-tied when, uh ... during ... "

"It's fine, sweet stuff." He sniffed at her. "You're submissive. I don't mind taking control. I prefer it." The okapi lazily rolled onto his back beside her, folding his black hands behind his multi-colored, semi-horned head, broad chest rising and falling. Staring at the shadows on the ceiling. He didn't bother to cover himself. "It was worth it, though, wasn't it? God, I can't tell you how satisfying that was. I mean ... I was on a bit of a drought," he admitted. Almost a year, in fact. They'd responsibly, if not briefly, shared their sexual histories in the living room before he'd taken her to bed.

"Me, too." Her voice was barely audible. A long drought, indeed. But the rains had come, now. She felt so refreshed. She turned onto her side and ran her fingers along the okapi's chest. He was so handsome. So unique. "I guess it's a good thing I accidentally saw your penis." She clumsily reached for a bed-sheet to cover some of her nakedness with. "Maybe none of this would've happened if I didn't?"

"Oh, it was fate! I'm sure of it," Sol teased, turning onto his own side and nosing at the golden rodent. "Dick of destiny!"

She giggled.

"You don't need that sheet, beautiful." His voice became gently serious. "Don't hide yourself. Please." He pulled it away. Tossing it aside, to the floor. "Now, turn around, squeaky."

She obeyed, putting her back to him. "Was I too loud?"

"The neighbors might complain. Or, at least, give me a perturbed look next time I see them on the stairs. But it's not like I never hear them ... " A moment passed. "Was I too big for you?" He'd been worried he might be. "Did it hurt?"

"You were perfect, Sol. It was ... " A deep, lusty breath. "Otherworldly." Probably going to be sore. Small price to pay. Even the toys she used on herself weren't as big as the okapi! I'm going to have to get bigger ones to condition myself with. Or maybe you won't need toys anymore, Meadow ...

"You aren't just telling me that, are you?" The male spooned against the smaller fur's plush, golden rump, pressing his chest to her back and reaching around to cup her supple, hanging breasts.

"Do you think I was faking my orgasm?"

He grinned. "No. I don't." He cooed directly into her ears. "Wriggle that ropy-tailed ass for me."

"Now?"

"Mm-hmm."

She wriggled it, lightly. For several seconds.

"Ooh." A snort. "That settles it! Next time, I'm doing you from behind." He paused, realizing he was getting ahead of himself. It took two to tango. "I mean, if you want to see more of it ... I mean, like ... " He cleared his throat. "My thing? On a regular basis, I mean? That can be arranged."

"Yeah?" She tried not to sound too over-eager. And failed.

"Why not? I like you." He released her breasts and rubbed at her belly. "You're sweet."

Meadow felt her heart flutter. "I like you, too ... "

"How much?" he murmured, nibbling on her shoulder.

"A lot," she sighed.

"Good. I mean, not saying we have to be mates or anything." Not right away. "No pressure. But, uh, maybe it could lead to that? You know?" There was a hopeful hitch in his voice. "It's just that I'd like to do this again. Not just the sex." Though, yes, the sex! "But the eating, talking, spending time together. Playing basketball at the gym. Just being with you."

The mouse closed her eyes. Like so many things in the world, this had taken her completely by surprise. She was stunned. Sometimes, love found you before you found it. God, I'm so happy to get laid that I'm thinking solely in clichés! "That sounds good," she finally told him.

The okapi sniffed and kissed at her nape, gratefully. "I know we're all sweaty and stuff, but I don't wanna shower, now. Wait 'til morning," he said while fighting a yawn. "Hot, lazy shower. Even hotter breakfast. I make some mean blueberry muffins," he promised, "and I have all the ingredients."

She nodded in agreement. Muffins? She loved muffins. "I don't want to get up, either." Too exhausted. Tomorrow was Sunday. She didn't have to be anywhere important and, from what she knew, neither did he. We'll probably breed again. You know that, right? A shy, private smile. "Thank you for all this. My okapi," she breathed, just to see how it felt coming off her tongue. How it sounded out loud. It sounded ... good? Yeah. Good. She looped her prehensile tail around his leg.

"Yours, hmm? Mm. I like hearing that. Could get used to it, in fact. But I should be thanking you." He made note of her versatile tail. I'm gonna need to take that for a test drive sometimes. Wonder if she can jack me off with it?

"If you make me feel like I do right now," Meadow promised, "you'll be hearing it constantly."

"Careful, mousey, or you'll get my blood flowing again!"

"I know, I know. I'm no good at dirty talking," she said, sheepishly. "I'm just ... "

"I picked up on that. No matter, though. Affection turns me on just as much as lewdness."

"Does it?" she whispered.

"Sure! I get turned on by all sorts of things." His cheeks got hot, and he almost stammered. "If we become a couple, you're gonna find that out ... "

"I'm just vanilla."

"Trying to say you're boring?" the okapi chided. "What'd I tell you about that? Besides, you're butterscotch. I decree it!"

She wriggled her rump against him, playfully. "You'll have to give me lessons, I guess. Since you're such an expert."

"Lessons on talking naughty? Or being kinky?"

"Both?" she suggested.

"Hmm. Right. I might be up for that." A cheeky pause. Some cars could be heard driving along the street below. "Literally! But, wait, doesn't that mean you'd be sleeping with your teacher?"

Helpless giggles. She hadn't thought of that. Now, that would be kinky! "You're so silly ... heh ... " She'd laughed more tonight than in the entirety of the past two weeks. So much tension had melted from her body.

"Mm-hmm. I am." After a moment of silence, the okapi's fingers clutched at her fur. "Well. See you in the morning, then?" he said. "Or in my dreams. Whatever comes first ... " He trailed off and yawned, holding her tighter.

"I'll be there," she promised, unable to hold back her own yawn. Maybe they really are contagious? As she nuzzled back against her new partner, safe in his strong arms, smothered in his scent, freshly-bred, she could only thank the universe, which maybe didn't hate her after all, that she'd walked past that open door and taken a second glance at Sol. Now, she finally had some sun in her life.
