Lagoon and Imbers first meeting... Did you know some of the things written in this story is actually true? Well with two humans that is and not dragons, hehe

I'm going to write a couple of short stories like this, just because I like the characters and I love to cooperate with my mate Lagoon c:

Hope you enojyed it!

The last light of that chilly summer night was shining through the waterfall, hitting Lagoon in the eye as he opened it slowly after hearing something. His curiosity was hit as he saw a cloudy figure on the other side of the water. He couldn't see clearly so he pushed his long next out to take a peek. Knowing there could be danger he kept quite, until he saw her. A red and golden dragoness lying melancholically by the waterside, watching her own image in the water and touching if from time to time. He wanted to say hello, to get to know this other dragon. So he jumped down from the waterfall and tried to glide to her side with his wings stretched. He didn't expect her to turn around so suddenly and he realised in the last moment that he had jumped too high. He was going to crash into her.

***

Imber didn't see him before it was too late. Thinking he was one of the Whiteclaws send to kill her, she turned facing him. Her tail ready for an attack. But he was too big for her. His body was almost double her size and his scales were massive. She knew she had no chance against him in her condition. But he was heading right towards her. Taking a step to the side she slipped and fell head first into the water. The whole earth rang as the massive blue dragon hit the ground where she had just been. What kind of monster had they send after her? She panicked and suddenly she forgot how to swim...

***

Looking around Lagoon couldn't see where the red dragoness had gone. It had all happened so fast and he was still a bit scared of landing so he had just closed his eyes for a split second. Seeing something happen in the water he understood she was having troubles swimming. So Lagoon did the best thing he could think of; he threw his tail after her so she could grab it.

***

Imber saw the tail penetrate the water in front of her. Clever boy, she thought. But he won't get me that easily! She let out a burst of flames, as was her tactic whenever she was in a tight place. But the problem was that she was under water, and now her maw was getting filled with the fresh water. It raced down her throat and even though she tried to keep it out, it kept on pushing: wanting her to drown.

***

Seeing the dragoness struggling underwater Lagoon jumped into it and grabbed hold of her. He held around her slim waist. Holding her tight and gazing into her purple eye.

***

So this is the end for me? I thought it would be a more noble death. Oh look, now he's pushing me up to the surface. Maybe he's a sadist and wants me to suffer? This monster was send to kill me. Well, he did show strength. Imber watched him with huge eyes, thinking of everything all at once. Watching her life pass by.

***

"Uhm... What are you doing?" Lagoon asked curiously. The dragoness just watched him with huge eyes. He couldn't tell if she was scared or not. He couldn't tell what was on her mind. He was just trying to help her. She turned her head to gulp some water.

***

It's all right, Imber told herself. He's a monster just like me. He doesn't look like a Whiteclaw, he's too good at swimming too. But his body is too big for a Ravine. So what is he? Imber readied her sharp tail. She didn't need to know what he was, she was going to survive and that was all it was to it. Without him noticing she turned her tail around him and prepared it for a vital strike in the neck. Her tail went like a spear, it would have teared up any normal dragons scales and killed it instantly. Yet this dragon... he turned nonchalantly around as if a fly was buzzing and he couldn't quite see where it went. He didn't even budge. Imbers face turned white. He _was _a monster. She was fascinated. He was the only dragon that had survived her tail attack.

***

He basically threw her unto the grass, not knowing his own strength. Putting his massive tail first he dragged his body up unto the land after her. He watched the dragoness stagger around on the land and lay down, pulling her tail around her body. Feeling sorry for her he blew a small blue flame in her direction, putting a young tree on fire so that she could get warm. He sat down in front of her.

***

Imber felt like all she had worked for her whole life had just shattered in front of her. She couldn't even fight one dragon. Not ONE. She was humiliated and angry, but most of all she was fascinated. She had been wanting to fight someone strong all her life, and she now had the chance, but not the strength.

***

"Who are _you?" She asked crawling eagerly towards the flame. "Who am I? Who the hell are _you?" He asked. Imber smiled and sat up. "I am Imber! The one and only, the golden claw of Whiteclaw. I am the strongest and fastest dragoness ever born. I am a goddess of war!" She said with a mighty voice, pushing her golden chest out and unfolding her huge wings. Birds flew from the threes and small animals from their hiding places. The moon shone between her horns. "If I may ask. Why are you all alone here then?" Lagoon watched as the strong image of a true warrior vanished and a young female dragon fell heavily to the ground laying her head on her paws. "I got kicked out. Backstabbed if you would like." She was slowly realizing that she couldn't introduce herself that way anymore, because most of it wasn't true now. She wasn't a great fighter anymore, because her paw wasn't strong enough. "Well, then we're two! Or rather... I fled from my clan. They did some horrible things and I just couldn't stand there and watch it. I couldn't do anything with it either. You see, I don't know how to fight." Lagoon said shyly dragging his body to the fire. "Wait you don't... how? Why?" Imber was so confused by the fact that there were dragons that just didn't know how to fight. It blew her mind and made her regret ever thinking she was going to die because of him. Yet as a trained dragon she had a talented eye for such things and she saw great potential in his build. He was the dream of every dragon from her clan: strong with great scales and massive bones and muscles. "Oh no, I don't think they're going to come look for me if that's what you're worrying about. I was barely noticed in the Ravine, and they don't need a dragon that can't fight. I did the Ravine a good thing by leaving." He watched the flames closely, thinking about what he had just said. Was it okay to say it? When she didn't respond he stood up and looked her in the eye. "I think we should stay together for now. We're both new to this world and you're clearly hurt while I'm obviously lost." For some reason Lagoons heart was beating faster when he caught her eye. He was surprised when he was able to even speak to her because of his weird condition. She turned her head to gaze up at the moon. "The Whiteclaws are probably going to come after me to finish the job." Her voice was low, yet it flew strong in the air. "I-" She was cut off before she managed to say another word as Lagoon trampled on the small tree to cut of the fire. "Then we need to get some rest and fly at first light tomorrow! Come on, I know a place that'll keep you safe. Take my hand, you have nothing to lose, right?" She was skeptic, but after seeing his innocent and nervous smile she took it and let him lead her.

He pulled her with her to the sky and she noticed how clumsily he flapped his wings, but she didn't say anything. She knew that some dragons became aggressive when they were confronted with their flaws. Oh, she knew that all too well. Before she had time to stop, Lagoon threw her head first into the waterfall. She was sure she was going to hit the stony rock and get injured, so the small cave behind the water really confused her. But she didn't protest. It was the best hiding place she could get. Lagoon landed in the opening and pushed his way into the cave. It was too small for them when they lied down. "Well, at least it's cozy...?" Imber said like it was a question. "It's the best we can do for now. Good night Imber!" Lagoon laid his head down on the cold ground and began snoring at once. The stressful day had taken on him and he had no energy left. "Good night Lagoon." She laid her head a couple of feet from his. She wasn't used to dragons being so nice to her. She wondered where they would go. He was from the south, she from east. They were bound to go either north or west. Or maybe both? There was a huge and peaceful world out there ready to be explored!
