A story involving two of my characters, Trevor and Ashes. Don't know if it's my best work but I hope you enjoy.

I have to thank a close buddy of mine for giving it a proof read before I posted it.http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rakevuril

Ashes

Trevor checked his phone again as he made his way down that familiar road. "I know, I know I'm coming," he said to the sound of the buzzing from the new text message he'd gotten. As if it'd stop the contraption from making noise. He turned right, into Ashes' driveway and pulled up next to the garage, before putting the car in park and getting out. "Ashes! Where are you at!?" he yelled, before hearing a voice.

"I'm in back!"

The fennec fox walked around the blue walled garage to the back patio, only to see the arcanine bent over her head on the wooden floor with her rump in the air, a pair of panted legs sticking out of her rump. "Hehe, quite the fine mess you seem to have gotten yourself into, hm?"

"Oh shut up and give me a hand!" She said, whining lightly while shifting her hips back and forth, her belly bulged out slightly.

"Alright, alright, just relax." The fox chuckled lightly as he walked over, getting a good grip of those sock covered feet, still warm to the touch. "Mmm, only caught him a little while ago, hm?" he said, starting to push as those legs began to slip inside nice an easy, making the arcanine moan as her belly nearly doubled in size.

"Mmm, yes." She managed to say, before biting her lower lip as those feet sank between her cheeks "An he put up such a fight, I was tired so I-"

The fennec fox smiled and chuckled lightly. "So you called me up to help you out, yeah I know." Trevor smirked and leaned in, slipping his muzzle gently between those cheeks to give a light lick over Ashes's pucker, only to feel that bushy tail land heavily against his back, pushing his muzzle tip in slightly.

"Oh, I'd be careful about doing stuff like that." Ashley said with a playful growl. "Never know when I might get a taste for stuffing nosy fennec's in my rump." With that she slid forward and rolled onto her back, leaving Trevor where he stood.

"You know that could have been pretty bad if anyone else found you like that." Trevor stepped up close to her, before sitting down next to Ashes, slipping a paw down to massage over that quietly gurgling belly.

She smiled and chuckled lightly "But that's why I texted you. I knew my foxy would come help." She slowly sat up, resting her back against the house's blue paneling, before pulling out a wallet. "Time to check my reward." She quickly rifled through the contents, pulling out a few hundred dollar bills. "Not a bad catch after all."

Trevor moved to sit beside her, only to blush when Ashley wrapped an arm around him, before leaning in to kiss his forehead. "How much closer to your goal are you?" He asked, doing his best to keep his face hidden.

"With that I'm just a few hundred away from getting out of here." She said, wagging her tail happily.

Trevor put on a fake smile as he tried to picture her gone, states away from where they were. His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden repositioning, finding himself seated on her lap as she hugged him tight to her, those strong arms squeezing him against that full belly an her supple breasts.

"And I have you to thank for that." The fennec was left speechless, that thin black t-shirt being the only fabric separating the two.

"Y-your welcome." He finally managed to say after gathering his wits.

Ashley smiled and held him tight, her heated paws gently rubbing up and down over the fox's back. "Just remember what I s-"

Trevor nods. "I know, I know don't tell anybody about this or I'm on the menu." He rubs the back of his head "Though why did you start if it could be such a problem?"

Ashley nodded slowly before easing Trevor off her lap. "Why wouldn't I? It's no different than a hunter setting up a trap for deer. My way is just a bit more lucrative at times and I don't bother to mount their heads on my walls... Now then I can't be here all day." She said with a chuckle, stepping over and pulling her pants up from out in the grass and slipping them on. "Oh, a bit tight but still wearable." She said after slipping her tail though the hole in the back.

Trevor walked up towards her and wrapped his arms gently around her waist. "Why not? This is your home after all, isn't it?"

Ashley chuckles and tapped the fennec fox's head with her tail. "Well of course it is, but I need to find a good place to make a drop off." She said, turning about to face the fox as her belly gurgled loudly. She leaned in and kissed Trevor's lips gently before backing up. "I'll see you later Trev." She said with a pleased grin, before taking off around to the front of the house an then out of sight.

"S-sure you will." Trevor said, peeking down to his phone real quick before making his own way home. A short drive through traffic and he was home. The little apartment served him well enough. He eased in onto his bed, groaning a bit. Knowing all too well that he'd be called out again to help soon enough, he closed his eyes and began to nap.

Trevor woke with a start when his phone rang. "A call?" He peeked out his apartment window to see the sun had set. "At this late at night?" He flicked it open to answer only to be greeted by a frantic sounding Ashley.

"Trev! I need your help."

He got up an headed towards his door, "Where are you?"

Ashes panted lightly to catch her breath. "In the alleyway outside my usual spot."

Trevor nodded "I'll be right there." He growled lightly after snapping his phone shut as he made his way down and out of the building, heading to that all too familiar nightclub.

The place was packed as ever, a long line extending out past the front of the building. The loud music was hurting the fox's ears even from just passing in front of it to get to the alleyway between it and the building next door. "Ashes?"

"Over here." She called out, sounding a bit panicked. As the fennec fox raced over to where the voice came from, he let out a light yip when her arms wrapped around him and pulled him in tight behind a large garbage bin. "Thank you for coming here. I need you to help me get home, away from this guy that has be-" She yelped and held Trevor tighter to her as a man rounded the bin and pointed a gun at the two.

"This is the end of the line for you, you overgrown mutt." The man growled, sighting the gun.

Trevor shifted a bit, trying to stand between the two. "The hell is wrong with you! Put that-"

He was silenced when the man whipped the side of his gun against the fox's head. "You shut your mouth and it'll hurt less, I promise you. I'm just here to make that bitch pay for killing my son."

Ashley trembled, her body shaking so bad Trevor could feel it. "Damn it, he's got us pinned." The man's finger started to tense on the trigger, when Trevor leapt at him, teeth bared.

Ashley shut her eyes as she heard the sound of a gunshot. When she opened her eyes again, Trevor lay on the ground beside the man, blood pooling around the fox's body while the man's wrist had been clawed and bitten hard. She growled loudly and lunged at him, rage clouding her vision as she tackled him to the ground and started to claw and bite like a feral hound til he'd stopped moving. Ashley panted heavily, before turning to the fennec fox "Trev... Trevor!" She rolled him onto his back to see a small hole in his chest where the blood was coming from. "Oh god!" She put her paws over the wound to try and keep the blood loss to a minimum.

"A..Ash..."

Her ears perked up to the fennec's voice, leaning in close. "I've got you Trev, just stay with me, I'm going to get you to a hospital."

The fox shook his head slowly. "No, y..you'll get caught." He coughed a bit, splattering her chest with drops of blood. "J-just eat me."

The sentence made her heart beat hard in her chest an tears well up in her eyes. "No, I won't."

Her defiance was met with silence as the fox's eyes closed slowly. "Trev!" was the last thing he heard before the world seemed to fade to black.

The next moment he remembers is waking up to sunlight pouring in on him. As he got his bearings, he noticed he was in a hospital, dressed in gown with an IV supplying him sustenance. A figure stood up next to his bed, breaking the steam of light, before he would feel a warmth press against him and a familiar set of lips kissing his own.

When Ashley pulled away, tears were streaming down her cheeks. "I thought you..." Her voice seemed to drop off, as if to avoid saying it.

"I thought I did too. But it seems I'm still here." The fox's paws moved to grab her own, making the arcanine smile. "So what's going to happen now?"

Ashley leaned in to kiss the top of the fox's head. "The court ruled in favor of self-defense, and folks are oblivious still to what has been going on."

Trevor smiled almost wanting to jump up and hug her tight. "But how is this going to be settled?" He looked down at the bandages over his chest.

Ashes bit her lower lip. "It put a damper on my traveling fund."

The fox's ears folded back. "I'm so sorry, I'll m-"

She gently put a finger to his lips. "You saved me when I couldn't save myself. Besides, if I have no one to return to, to tell about all the things I've seen... Then what's the point?"

Trevor smiled, a few tears falling from his eyes at the thought.
