Hello! Well I wont say much cause it's already said in the story but I hope you enjoy it. Just for your information, the nudity or any other sensual stuff in this story isn't explicit or excessive so don't worry!

Even though this was a story I thought of just to do a story, I also wanted to put the main character in for someone's birthday in the past. This was a gift for my awesome editor's birthday!. Of course Chloe isn't her real name but it's very close to it! Happy Birthday Spooner ^^

The two characters and people that I picked for the guest appearance in my story were those provided by ~amex230 and ~BlackOpsReznov from deviantart.

Colonel Storm (AKA Storm) © Reznov

Thanks guys and Congratulations. Enjoy seeing your characters and I welcome feedback! The song at the end of the story is part of "Into The West" by Annie Lennox and Howard Shore. The story title is also inspired from a song by Bob Dylan and also Adele Adkins of the same name.

The spectral lights through the window glinted off the chrome wheel as it turned and swerved to the turn and motion of the vehicle. Little drops of rain made squiggly like motions on the wind panel as it rushed against the blowing air. A big sigh rang out of the driver while the mechanical whirring of seat adjustments sounded in the air. With a push and a click, the hover motors shifted and an ascension "whirring" accompanied the sounds. Normally a big sight-the city below, was now just a small collection of buildings and airways to the vehicle. The silver shuttle shimmered in the flashes of lightning and from the lights of the city below. Rain kept pouring and covering the shuttle's chrome surface, dousing over the big, bold letters-Plexus and the big company name-Infinity, as it flew closer to the giant metropolis.

Chloe Mason groaned while shifting again and listening to the soft alternative coming from the stereo. Being a shuttle pilot was...fun but, sometimes took its' toll on her body. She took a sip of water as the shuttle descended again below the cloud screen. This was one of many routine trips from the outer cities to the central city of Presidium. Chloe had been working this job for about two years now and really enjoyed the slightly "isolated feeling" of it but, also the freedom it gave her. Her shuttle was one of many that transported goods and technology from Presidium out to the other cities. Even though she had to work most of the week, it didn't take too much brain power and was rewarding in its own way.

With one motion, Chloe hit the accelerator and the turbo thrusters jetted the shuttle faster towards the city. She smiled slightly as the lightning lit her way and flashed against the cities' shiny surfaces. She brushed her black Tee off with her hand-freeing some cracker crumbs from an earlier snack while beginning her report of position into the radio. A few seconds later, Presidium control relayed their approval and she thanked them, pushing the stabilizer while approaching shuttle control. She quickly pulled her time clock out of her green cargo pants and checked it right as the Infinity shuttle flew past the cities barrier. 10:28 A.M-just on time.

Presidium was like one big floating star. The city itself was composed of five districts that branched out from the central citadel. Each district had its' own set of separated structures. Hovering at two miles above ground level, the giant metropolis rivaled the pinnacle technologies of the world. It was the central hub of information, goods, and government within the world. Chloe was part of the Infinity Hover-Lift Company-the mainstream transportation system in the entire world. Her job circulated around transporting big hauls of natural resources and upgrades for all the cities in the northern region of the sole continent that made up the world.

As the shuttle approached the floating tarmac-glowing blue lights on the engines of the vehicle lessened and started descending the shuttle. Chloe shut of the repulse engines and controlled the descent of the manual engines with her black lever between the steering wheel and the gear shift. With a soft thud, the shuttle landed and Chloe switched off the ignition with a sigh of relief. She quickly gathered her gear and threw on her dark red, leather jacket as she opened the side door to the vehicle. She stepped out and adjusted some of the settings on the side panel while the rain poured onto the door above her. While she inspected the cargo and her vehicle, she could see some of the docking workers coming toward her while transport carriers and refueling lines.

Chloe popped some gum into her mouth and pressed hard on the blue button near the edge of the shuttle door. After she did, the back of the vehicle opened up and gave out several whirring sounds as the cargo was pushed into position to be unloaded. At the same time as she put her small sack on her back, a hand touched her, making her gasp a bit. Turning around, she offered a laugh in response.

"ACK! Gosh you need to stop doing that Peter", her arms hugged the big, dark figure.

The figure chuckled as he drew back his hood, "Always for you, Chloe."

"What are you doing here so early, Peter?"

With a swish, he smoothed out his dark fur and gave a toothy smile, "Because silly, I like to see you when you come in. Is that so bad to want? You're my best friend Chloe."

Chloe's expression lit up with joy, "You're my best friend to Peter! I'm sorry I'm questioning you, I love when my "wittle" wolf comes to greet me."

His face shivered a bit, almost blushing, "And I love doing it. Come on let the dock people handle your ship, let's get out of the rain even though I don't mind."

"You know I love the rain he-he, but you're right I need to take a breather."

"Well at least you didn't crash your girl" Chloe scowled at this comment with a chuckle as they both walked toward the exit ramp.

Obviously Peter wasn't part of the "human" group of inhabitants in Presidium. Standing at six feet and four inches, Peter was a tall, muscular wolf. His fur was the color of the night sky and shimmered with any amount of light. His long tail swished behind him as his water droplets slid down his thick shirt. Normally someone would be scared of a giant, talking wolf but, not in this world. Furry animals and aquatic mammals, even some reptiles had gained the ability to talk and to think at a higher level two generations ago.

Since then, some of them had advanced to even think at the same level as humans. In the "non-human" group, the top dogs or most intelligent per say were the wolves and the snakes. With brain capabilities amplified, the two species were almost as smart as humans and co-existed nicely. Now humans, snakes, and wolves all being "predators", there were problems at first back then but, since then, the two non-human races have learned to compensate for a few things and have actually lived well so far together.

"So where are we going, Peter?"

He smiled and purred slightly, "Well...we could go to your place and just hang out, or to the Presidium balcony and do the same thing. Though I think Colonel Storm would like to see you before you do."

Chloe nodded, "Well yes...I know that he-he"

The two moved quickly through the shiny levels of the upper city as they entered the Infinity Head quarters, fifteen minutes later. As they entered the elevator, Peter leaned against the wall and just "smiled" at Chloe.

"When is your next trip?"

"Well...I have a few days off, but I have some family in the outskirts I want to go see, I like bringing them extra rations and stuff. Colonel Storm lets me so, it's all good" She smiled.

"He's a great commander. But that's cool, when are you going and what kind of family?"

She yawned and leaned against the wall with him, "Just my grandmother and my sister. They live together in the outskirt city of Memphis."

Peter seemed a little concerned, "Hm, that's nice of you but, the route to that city is a bit long isn't it and could cause some problems?"

Chloe looked at him for a minute, seeming to inspect him, "Y...yes it is long, and I would have to stop on the Genesis Platform to refuel for a bit. Plus it is dangerous because I have to fly lower then I'm used to, thus crashing is more of an issue but, I'm one of the best pilots around so I'm not worried. Plus it's my grandma, I love seeing her."

He let out a happy coo and rubbed her shoulder, "I know you do Chloe, just be safe"

The elevator opened a second later, letting the two out with a ding. Chloe walked out the second after, followed by Peter as both of them headed into the center of the pent level. When they entered, they heard the deep but soothing voice of Colonel Storm, ringing out of the room as he gave orders to some of his subordinates.

Colonel Storm was head of the Infinity's military division but, also oversaw all of the shuttle flight operations out of Presidium. Basically he was Chloe's "boss" but, she and the Colonel always hit it off quite well. Chloe smiled as she approached the kiosk where Colonel Storm was working. The Colonel was fully equipped with metallic looking armor that stretched from his lower neck to his large boots. The armor itself was all black with all of his commendations etched into the titanium alloy. On the top, as all military officers had, was his rank and on his head was a simple communication ear piece.

"HA! There's my favorite pilot. How was your trip Captain Mason?" the Colonel smiled as the duo entered.

"You know you can just call me Chloe sir he-he but, it was fun. A long trip too, though it was a nice, relaxing one. I'm glad the cargo is all safe."

"Yep everything is accounted for. Another successful transfer. So I hope you get some rest girl cause driving those things isn't a walk in the park" Storm joked as he pushed a few buttons on the control panels, causing the window covers to start opening.

Chloe almost fell over laughing, "Yes those things can be sometimes."

"Just be careful of Porter that stuck up shade doesn't like it when we stop his business from running. Might make his face light up in rage" The Colonel laughed with her.

"Yeah I know, he's a dork but, anyway, has my leave been approved?"

The Colonel nodded, "Yep you're good for five days so take all the time you want. And, as always, the Plexus is always yours to use. I know you love that shuttle."

"Yeah...she's a darling well, thank you sir"

Colonel Storm smiled at the duo and then smiled again at Peter. "Take good care of her Regent." Peter giggled slightly and nodded as the two walked out towards the elevator. That's another thing about Peter that I don't really tell people. He's part of a special group of defenders and trained professionals called Regents. Pretty much the elite police of the entire world nation. Their authority out ranks everyone besides the military generals and the president. But Colonel Storm didn't have to be told that. Chloe sighed while these thoughts rang through her head as they pushed the button again.

"Something bothering you?"

Chloe glanced to the left and shook her head, "No, Peter, just pondering, thanks for asking though. I'm just going to the club later to hang out later if you want to join me. Tomorrow I travel but I have tonight."

Peter agreed almost right away, "Yes! I would love to" He smiled warmly.

"Great so see you tonight then." Her eyes glimmered with friendship as she walked off the elevator toward her apartment.

Peter watched her go and just purred to himself, almost licking his lips. "Wait what the heck, Peter, what's wrong with you?" Being a wolf sometimes was hard around humans, even those you consider close friends. Sometimes around Chloe, his primal instincts flared up but, he would never hurt her on purpose. As Chloe turned the corner, Peter smiled-his black fur almost lighting up with a rush of blood and emotions. He grinned to himself at the blush and just headed for the transport.

Chloe got to her floating apartment quickly and swiped her hand across the monitor, opening her door. She yawned with relief as she plumped on the couch and rested her feet while kicking off her boots. She adjusted the hood on her red jacket and stretched. "Hmm...maybe I'll take a quick shower; the bar can be fancy occasionally." She agreed with herself and quickly got up and went to the bathroom, tossing her prized jacket on the rack and starting to take off her dirty clothes.

As she walked into her bathroom, she wasn't wearing anything and just inspected her naked body in the mirror. For a pilot, she was very fit. She traced her hand across her soft chest and down her thin stomach while making sure she hadn't suffered any bruises. Her hand rubbed her side and down her thigh as she smiled to herself and took out her hair braid. Chloe's crimson hair fell down to her chin. Her hand traced her soft rear and up her back while her other hand turned on the steamy water from the shiny shower. She chuckled as she stepped in and started washing herself off with the silky water and soft soap. While she washed-thoughts about this visit, her job, and Peter flashed through her mind, letting her sigh and smile at them in her relaxed state.

Chloe stepped out soon, fully wet and warm from her cleansing shower. She quickly dried off and got dressed in a red, silk shirt with a short, but modest black skirt. As she did her hair and dried it off from the wet shower, she softly sung to herself and smiled at her pretty self. Chloe usually didn't care how she looked nor about how others saw her but, when she went to parties or the bar, she did like to look a bit nicer. When she was finished with her crimson hair, she quickly grabbed her jacket and headed for the door. Even though it was a nice leather jacket, it did look slightly out of place with her outfit, but not too much. She would never go anywhere without it and she loved it.

A few buttons lit up and beeped as she locked her door and then rode the elevator up to the roof of the apartment. A great smile came to her face as she saw her baby parked on top. Normally, people would take the central taxi system to any part of the city but, being a pilot she didn't need someone else's taxi. With a push of her watch, the doors opened and she hoped up into the silver shuttle with the red lined etchings on the side. Seconds later the repulse engines flared up and Chloe laughed as she revved the engines, closed the door, and quickly took off into the night.

The entrance to the bar or more accurately, The Neon Club was on the roof and was one floating building that you couldn't miss unless you were blind. Sparkling rainbows of color flashed and lit the night as the light covered surface glimmered and blinked and signaled. Chloe quickly maneuvered the shuttle into one of the docking clamps on the roof entrance and parked. She yawned as she got out of her vehicle and pressed her watch again, locking the shiny shuttle. Turning around she gasped a bit out of shock but then giggled. Right in front of her was a casually dressed and well groomed Peter with his cute, toothy smile and shiny eyes.

"Hello cutie" the shiny wolf teased.

"Oh stop Peter, I'm not cute" Chloe shook her head and walked to him hugging him in a friendly gesture. "I like your polo Peter, it matches that soft fur of yours" She teased back.

Even though she didn't think of Peter as anything but a really good friend, Chloe loved their teasing ways. She held Peter's hand as both of them flashed their badges and walked into the entrance elevator. "Thank you for inviting me Chloe, I'm honored to be your "date" he-he" Peter simply pushed the penthouse button while purring.

"You're welcome my "wittle" wolf" She laughed out loud.

As the two metal doors opened, Peter and Chloe gleamed at the strobe lights and chrome finishes on the room. The bar was arranged in a triangle formation. On one corner was the elegantly decorated bar table with all sorts of neon lights, gold lined tops, and glass lined, metal drink mugs. The other two corners were different lounging areas that had all sorts of velvet and maroon colored chairs with soft cotton finishes with silk lining on them. In the middle of the triangle was a risen platform, plated with smooth steel and etched with different gold and silver linings. It was one of the nicest dance floors in Presidium.

"Can I have a virgin Piña Colada please?" Chloe scanned her armband and smiled at the bar tender. The barman nodded and came back with a nice martini glass filled with white liquid and a pineapple in it.

Peter giggled at her. "Oh, starting out the night fresh huh?"

"Oh stop it silly, yes I like this drink" She took a couple sips of the drink and sighed happily. "This tastes so good, you want to taste?"

Peter came closer and lapped some of it out of the drink with a few precise tongue flicks, "MmM that is good."

"Before you go running off to your grandma, how about you have some fun tonight with me." He grabbed her hand as she put her drink down and twirled her out to the floor, hugging her to his chest.

She smiled, "What big arms you have!"

"The better to dance with you now" Peter growled playfully and offered his paw to her.

Chloe laughed and grabbed his paw and his shoulder as they stepped up on the floor and began to dance to the retro-techno music blasting all over the shimmering floor. "You're such a bad wolf."

Peter winked, "A big one at that."

The night went on with Peter leading Chloe in several dances and the two of them laughing and dancing their hearts out. As the music got softer and the night grew later, the duo left the club panting and laughing together in fun.

"Oh gosh! That was so much fun!" Chloe wrapped her arms around Peter, "Thank you for such a great night, you really are the greatest friend."

A deep purr emanated out of Peter's handsome mouth as he hugged back, "You're welcome Chloe you deserve it."

Peter escorted her to her shuttle as they both kept talking about the night. A few glimmering, shooting stars stroke across the sky while the duo leaned against the shuttle.

"Well will I see you again before you go?"

"He-he maybe Chloe, I hope so but if not, I will see you when you get back." Peter assured.

The two hugged again and the tall wolf watched his friend fly off into the night as he licked his lips again and cooed to himself.

The morning was slow for Chloe. Gathering up her clothes, putting a few things in her backpack, and brushing her teeth seemed like an eternity to her. She drew her black, causal pants over her under clothing while putting on one of her smooth V-neck, white shirt to match over her bra. As she grabbed her pack, she took a quick look in the mirror and drew some cheap lipstick across her soft lips. She put her slick, red jacket on and smiled.

She waited as the elevator took her to her shuttle. As with all times, she clicked her watch and seconds later was flying off the roof. Since she was going out of the city, she had to land and sign out her shuttle at the tarmac headquarters. Chloe steered the Plexus towards the outer ring of the city and landed on the tarmac.

"Well everything seems in order Captain, so you're good to go when you're ready" Chloe nodded at the dock official and just sat down for a minute, watching the air traffic go by. Her eyes widened though at the figure walking towards a nearby shuttle. It was Regent Porter. The tall, dark man walked toward a dark colored shuttle as his armor shined in the sunlight. He was Regent over the western part of the city and the leader of some of the secret warriors that protected region. He was always a shady character to Chloe. Being in close personal contact with Colonel Storm let her know of the more important officials and Regents in Presidium, and Regent Porter wasn't to be trifled with.

Regent Porter was what one would consider a technical "shadow". Without his metal "armor", his body would appear to be made of complete shadow. He did look like a normal, humanoid-like person-two arm, two legs, and a head but it was just all shadow. No one would know that he wasn't "human" unless he took off his mask since the rest of his body was covered in sleek looking armor and his head was covered with a shiny hood. His face did have features on it, but was still constructed of shadow. His eyes were deep white and his mouth was well, lightning shaped in essence. Other than that, he could take and show emotion with his eyes as well as function as any normal person, maybe even smarter. Chloe only knew this because of her friendship with Peter and because of Colonel Storm's reports, but...something about him always just gave her the shivers.

As she watched the Regent's shuttle being fueled, she pushed the weird thoughts about him out of her head and sipped some of her water while walking toward her shuttle. After making sure all of the fuel cells and repulse manifolds were in place she checked her provisions and security systems. Though the shuttle wasn't a warship-laser cannons and armor plated shielding were necessary for the protection of the transit pilots and their cargo.

Chloe sighed after fifteen minutes of waiting-she started losing hope that Peter was coming. It wasn't a big deal but she liked it when he saw her off. Clicking her watch, she gave up and yawned to herself. She would get to see him when she got back hopefully. Sitting down in her cushioned seat she revved the plasma ignition and watched the tarmac as she ascended into the air.

The Regent's shuttle lifted off the tarmac as well and made the landing platform clear for traffic. As it sailed away toward the boundaries with its own guns rotating, Peter looked from a distance and sighed. He'd wanted to go and say good bye to Chloe but something didn't seem right-what was it? He quickly jumped into the cargo bay of the tarmac and beeped his own watch which ignited his personal hover speeder. Quickly pushing the green repulse button he flew down the land strip and off into the air.

"I hope that Grandma has those tasty cookies. I need some sugar food today..." Chloe laughed at her craving and continued driving past the city barrier.

Today was pretty much a normal day. The sky was a mixture of grays and purples with the light of the sun breaking through the high clouds. Though not pouring, a bit of rain was sprinkling down from the nimbus clouds while the shuttle continued through the cool air.

As Chloe hit the accelerator, her monitor started beeping loudly. On the screen it showed the green dot that was her in the middle and on the bottom, left hand of the screen showed a red dot moving towards the green.

"What the heck is th-" The shuttle shook as a laser shot hit the side of the shuttle and damaged it. She screamed and hit the repulse lifters as the shuttle did a flip and shot forward faster.

Another laser shot hit. "DAMMIT!" She glanced out her window as she did another maneuver at the spinning black vehicle following her and continuing to fire. "ACK! I bet I know who that is!" She growled and pushed the purple button which initiated the shuttle's flares. Green balls of fire shot out from each side of the shuttle as it twirled brilliantly in the air. Missile after plasma orb blew up after falling to the deceptive flares.

Chloe smirked and took her shuttle into free fall before turning it around to accelerate towards the shuttle. "I don't think so freak!" Her thumb pressed two red buttons and a volley of laser blasts as well as two Infinity missiles shot forth towards the black shuttle. With a turn, the other "opponent" dodged the laser shots and one missile only to be shot in the side with the other. Though descending from its' damage, its' front turret lit up and fired a bright beam of blue energy that shot right towards Chloe's shuttle.

With a scream, her shuttle was hit head on and blasted backwards several feet. The blue energy blast exploded the under armor of the shuttle and sent it into a back whirl down to the earth. Seconds later and after the black shuttle was nowhere to be seen, the Plexus plummeted into the ground.

Chloe groaned in pain as her eyes blinked a few times or she thought. All she could see was the blurry outlines of the stars in the sky. How long had she been laying here? Was she still alive? Why couldn't she move? Now that she thought about it-she couldn't move. None of her limbs or parts would respond to her commands. She could only feel the swift wind on her cheeks and stare at the ever blackness of the sky upwards. Sounds of burning and electric crackling touched her ears while laying there and a few tears of total fear swept down her cheeks.

Minutes seemed like hours and hours like days. After listening to the symphony of destruction, she thought she started h-hearing rustling? Was that...someone's breath? The sight of the blurry stars and dark sky changed. Now it was a silhouette-a dark figure that seemed to tower over her. She saw the figure's arms reach out. Was this a predator or killer come to end her or a courageous rescuer?

Chloe whimpered to herself as she felt a soft but "rough" feeling pair of hands or appendages grab her. Her eyes became less blurry as she was lifted towards the dark figure's face. The next thing she noticed-what big eyes it had. A pair of pretty emerald eyes as well as a face that didn't seem smooth stared at the tattered girl. Chloe's eyes tried to move but the pain and paralysis still pained her and only could focus forward. She saw large teeth and a long nose? What was this thing? Her mind raced to find the answer as her inner self screamed. The thing's mouth or face was widening. She was going to be eaten! Her body refused to move and more tears ran down in silent protest.

Her face became wet as it pressed against a silky texture. What she figured was the tongue, slithered around her neck and pulled her forward. The cavern of dark, moving material widened and her body felt like it was raised up to almost vertical. She whimpered more. This was her death? To be devoured by an unknown creature? She used all her will-still nothing. She couldn't move a muscle and even if she could, the tight ring of wet, squishy stuff opened and started pulling and gulping her into it. She could feel her shoulders and then her chest move into the big mouth. A faint chuckle and moan filled Chloe's ears. Was that the creature? Now he was just playing and mocking her?! Her anger and mouth let out a growl as she tried to move, while the tongue slithered all around her unmoving body and the throat squelched as her lower half was swallowed.

The girl's bare feet disappeared into the dark mouth as the throat squeaked and swallowed the rest of the girl. Few noises were heard-just squishing and slurping as the girl descended and was pushed against the second ring, beyond which-death was waiting. Chloe's heart leapt as her body fell into the squishy, wet chamber. Her breath became light and her eyes tired. The abyss of darkness and moving flesh left her as she let her body pass out of consciousness.

_____________________________________________

"Lay down, until the night is end. Night is calling and it comes not to the end, sleep now, and dream of the ones that came before you. Why do you weep, all of your tears will pass away..."

This sweet singing filled every void of sadness and abandonment as it accompanied the morning birds and singing chicks. Chloe groaned but smiled inside at the deep singing around her. She opened her eyes swiftly-light touched her cheeks and the shock of the contrast left her blinded as her body cooperated and started to move. Turning on her side, Chloe breathed softly while saving strength. Finally, with her combined effort, she pushed up and sat against a log and held herself there.

"Finally awake my dear?"

Chloe screamed almost and turned her head to the left. Sweet eyes met hers and a big toothy smile gave welcome. "P...Peter?!"

"Hi Chloe, are you okay?"

"W-what happened?! I...I was falling and then I thought I got killed or something. W-where did you come from?!"

Peter shook his head and moved a bit closer, "Shhhh- It's okay now dear. I'll explain everything okay, don't worry."

Chloe nodded slowly as she groaned in pain. "G-go on."

"Okay now...just don't freak out until I'm done okay" Her face flushed a bit with fear but she offered her approval as she tried regaining more of her body.

"Your shuttle was attacked. I'm not sure by whom, but I'm guessing by Regent Porter. I haven't seen his shuttle since it left the city, so I'm not positive it's him but I'm pretty sure. I flew by just in time to see you get hit by his repulse beam. I-I thought you'd died I was so scared...so scared that I failed you."

Chloe scoffed, "You could never fail me..."

"Thanks...anyway, it took me like an hour to find you. You were badly hurt and I couldn't even tell if you were alive. Y-you did have a pulse but your body was bruised, some bleeding, and you kind of seemed stuck like you couldn't move."

Chloe sighed while he continued his tale and shifted her head to rest against the log.

"T...this next part is most important but please, don't freak out. You weren't responding and it was getting darker so-I'm just going to say it. It wasn't a dream Chloe, you were eaten. I ate you"

Her eyes just widened and she almost screamed, "P-peter...you ate me?!" A few tears accompanied her remark.

"Y-yes! I did and I'm sorry. But it was the only way I knew that I could move you and be sure that you were in a place that was the most..."cushioned". Y-you were totally safe I promise!"

Chloe kept crying and just staring at the black wolf with pain. She started looking around and gasped as she looked at her body. "W-where the heck is the rest of my clothes? You ate me and raped me?!"

Peter growled but choked on this, "Chloe...I would never! You aren't even fully unclothed but, I had to make sure that you weren't bleeding anywhere. I...I understand if you hate me. But I'm glad that you're safe and that you're alive."

Their eyes locked together for a time. Both pairs let tears of either sadness and regret or anger and shock out. Chloe curled up to cover her exposed self and just cried as she stared at her supposed "friend". Peter's eyes let his sorrow poured out against those "hateful" eyes of the friend he loved so much.

Chloe finally let out a sniff and started to speak, "Peter...Thank you, I'm sorry I shouted. This is so weird and-please don't do it again but I guess it did save my life."

His eyes lit up, "Oh Chloe do you know how perfect you are? Thank you for understanding. I am sorry too I would never eat you or any human for food I promise. Sorry that you're naked too. I give you my word that most of that was the combination of the shuttle's crash and my stomach but, I did save this..." He growled happily as he held up her prized and almost undamaged red jacket.

"Oh! Peter! Thank you!"

She cooed and painfully crawled toward him. Peter yelped and went toward her to help her relax, giving her the jacket and sitting by her. Chloe hugged her jacket and just gleamed up at him. "W...what pretty eyes you have."

He laughed, "The better to see you with. Chloe there's...something I want-"

She stopped him with her finger and smiled a bit, "What a big mouth you have."

"T-the better to...kiss you with" he reached over and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you for that..."

They both hugged and he warmed her bare body with his fur. "I know that I should have covered you up as soon as I could. But...you really are pretty Chloe. I want to tell you that-"

She stopped him again with a chuckle, "I know Peter. I've known for a while. My big, bad wolf-I love you too" She wrapped her arms around his furry neck and gave him a big smooch on his warm, wet lips. He growled happily and embraced her and her jacket. "Chloe I know you don't like this sort of thing but-if you'll have me, would you be my mate?"

"Y-yes..."

All she did was nod as she wraps her legs and arms to his furry body. The cold air didn't even move her and even though bare, Peter's warm fur emanated his feelings of warmth and finally his feelings of love.

"I hope that stupid Regent never comes back!"

Peter smiled at her, "Me too, but who knows maybe you dealt his final blow. Mister Shadow face is no more! HA!"

"Yeah-at least we can hope...OH! Peter how are we going to get to my grandma's house?!"

"Don't worry, I have a speeder, we can use it later to get to her home. But maybe you'd like some puppy love?"

She burst out laughing and snuggled into his fur, "I would love some. We can just tell grandma that you, mister wolf, were the reason her "little red" was late."

He purred as he rolled on his back and brought Chloe into his furry paws, "Yes go ahead and tell her that...but right now I think this day belongs to us and there's nothing in the woods besides big scary wolves."

"And handsome lovers...so, cutie, what is this puppy love?"

Peter gave her a toothy smile and nuzzled her, "I'll show you. Thank you for trusting me, I've waited to tell you for so long. I'll earn your trust back and you won't have to ask for anything from me ever."

"Don't apologize; I was just blind to my dark protector."

"No you weren't, you have been what you always are. My sweet, courageous, and little red mate."

The ever gray clouds parted slightly and let a soothing ray of sun through them as the chirping of the forest continued. There weren't any polluting sounds of industry, no shuttles flying over head, no more crackling or sounds of danger. Now-the forest was for its' lovers. For nature's solemn and beautiful course and the wolf finally got his wish. A wish for feeling and hunger. The hunger for devotion.

THE END

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my "Red Riding Hood" themed story; I did work really hard on it. This is probably one of my longest stories and as always I welcome comments and critiques as long as they're constructive. Have a great day!
