#1 of Short Stories

I had this dream a while ago and got a good response to the brief thing I wrote about it earlier, so I decided to recall as much of it as I could. This story is still very rough as I pulled it straight from memory as I was recalling the dream, but I hope you all enjoy it. If you do, perhaps I'll upload a properly revised version as well as the more adult parts of the story. ^.^

Yes I know there are still editing errors. I will fix these if time allows.

"The Convention of Furtopia" © 2013 Kavori Matthew D. Huffman

The city was vast, none like any I had seen, densely populated with public transit railways running every which way above and below the street. The city was lit by all the buildings and video billboards making the layout of the city seem surreal, almost like something out a Sci-Fi movie. At least, what parts of it I was able to see. As I looked about the huge city, I kept thinking about the reason I was on my way to this unknown furcon, as I had no memory of boarding this coach ,yet it somehow seemed right, almost familiar. I only knew it was all free for me. Soon the mildly occupied bus stopped at a massive terminal, housing more bus lines, railways, and a huge airport. As I stepped off the bus I was instructed by the driver to claim my luggage at the bus side and proceed to railway gate 12 and wait to board. I had about 45 minutes or so till the train arrived, so I had a look around. The terminal was empty for the moment, only the occasional business man or woman walking by. There were shops, restaurants and the like, feeling much like a mall. As I walked I noticed that many shops had rather interesting décor, made up of a wildlife artwork as well as figurines. After a short walk through, I decided to grab a quick snack from the tiny general store next to the gate I needed and had a seat. As I waited I found myself to be the only one there, yet I wasn't afraid, but calm and at peace. I decided to read a bit from one of the many furry books I had with me as I waited to board. After 15 minutes or so of reading I had also finished my snack. Hearing the train approaching as well at the arrival announcement; I tossed my trash, gathered my things and stood by the gate. After standing for a few minutes I then boarded the high speed train. The train was beautiful and well maintained, more than I would ever expect for a normal transit rail system. There were gorgeous light fixture, seats, as well as a dining room. There was even a bar. I decided to sit at the bar and have a margarita, and a kind younger gentleman served me. He was well dressed in a solid white suit and a dark grey tie. He smiled as he served me, and at that moment I noticed I was the only one on the train. Just above the bar was a small lcd tv that displayed the map of the line with all the stops. Mine was 10 stops down. At every seat in the bar was a small touch screen tv, in which you could play games, watch movies, view the map, surf the web, etcetera. I tapped on my stop in the map view and noticed we would not be stopping at any of the other, making the eta about 30 minutes. I also noticed my stop was directly at the 3rd floor of one of the two parking garages for the hotel I would be staying at for the furry convention I would be attending. As the time passed on the train I couldn't help but notice that it followed the same décor theme as the depot. There were wildlife paintings hanging all around, and a few statues of foxes and wolves adorned the bar area. I couldn't help but wonder if the hotel would be the same way and as I sipped my margarita I pondered its all a bit, and took notice the area growing more dense with rail lines the closer we got to the inner city. I noticed that despite there being a lot of vehicles, the railways seemed to be the main way to get anywhere, let alone the fastest. The layouts of all the tracks were like art work on their own, every support and every bridge being uniquely and artistically styled. They were vast and covered every inch of the city and the one I was on was the highest in the air, designed to be what appeared as an express line. I noticed the eta on my stop was now at 5 minutes, by now the railway had descended a bit leveling out with 2 other tracks, one on each side that branched off a good ways before my stop. I noticed a lot of trees around this area, all placed to accent the architecture of everything around. The train was slowing now, preparing for its stop at the hotel. As the train came to a stop I noticed the parking garage was styled the same as all the railways. The lots were full of what appeared to be rather expensive vehicles of many styles yet I didn't recognize hardly any of them. As I departed the train and walked to the hotel via the sky bridge from the parking garage to the 3rd floor of the hotel, I noticed a large amount of what appeared to be fursuiters down in front of the hotel, but the fancy fogged glass made it hard to tell who they were. There were many shops out around the hotel from what I could tell, but the only road visible was the one leading into the parking complex. I when I entered the hotel I was nearly floored at the site of the décor. I was right about it following the same theme with the wildlife art, however all the floors were a magnificent white marble with what looked like gold inlay, the walls trimmed with similar at the ceilings and the most beautiful rosewood accents I have ever seen. All of the lighting fixtures were of superior crystal. As I neared the center of the octagonal hotel, I noticed the 3rd floor was the eniter convention area. I saw that the center was open with only 4 glass elevator on one side of the octagon of the floor plan. Escalators with crystal sides ran along a few of the other sides, also connecting the lower 2 floors and as well as the 4th floor which adorned a 5 star restaruant. From the 4th floor on up there were only the elevators leading to the top. I know there had to be more that 40 floors in total, each floor holding 2 rooms per side of the octagon, a total of 16 rooms per floor. The hotel simply blew my mind. I couldn't even begin to fathom the cost of everything. I only knew I was a guest here, my trip fully paid for by the convention itself according to my paperwork, yet I had no idea as to why. After all I was only a photographer. I continued over to the check in counter, to get my room pass, and was surprised when they addressed me by name, and handed me my card with no further hassle. I then made my way to the registration desk where I was promptly greeted and escorted to my 20th floor room by staff. It felt odd, having so much attention drawn to me, far from what I would normally receive, but in a way it was comforting, as I felt safe and welcome. When we arrived at my room, I was taken aback by how elaborate it was. A king size bed, kitchen, small sitting area, and a huge HDTV greeted me as we entered. The staff escorting me sat my belongings by the bed, and there was a nice basket sitting there with the name Kavori on it. The basket was full of little snacks and trinkets, some of which being my favorite type of peppermint schnapps, a couple of shot glasses and some autographed books and movies that I happened to like. This surprised me greatly, considering the cost of it all had to be exorbitant. My escort said if I needed anything, just notify them via the radio they left me on the counter, as they headed back to the registration counter down stairs. After sorting and organizing everything I needed, I decided I should take a fast shower, having been traveling a great way to this con by bus. As I entered the bathroom I saw a small shower stall, with the same elegant marble floor and crystal doors, there was also my own personal Jacuzzi tub. Being a little sore from my usual back issues I decided to take advantage of the tub. As I relaxed a bit, I found myself playing with the control panel some. I had then discovered there was a small TV build into the Jacuzzi. I tuned it to some cartoons and enjoyed my bath. After what seemed like a short time, I looked at the clock and about 2 hours had passed, I assumed I must have dozed for a bit in the tub, as it was rather relaxing. After my bath I decided to check out that restaurant on the 4th floor. The restaurant was astounding, having near any type of food imaginable on the menu. Each menu was displayed on a touch screen panel at every table and booth. Orders were taken directly from them and each server was notified via a device they carried at their side. Even though my meals were complementary I decided just to have some soup. I didn't want to take advantage of the situation after all. The restaurant was done just as elegantly as the rest of the hotel, but had a relaxed feel letting you know you were welcome weather you were casual, formal, or on business. As I sat there I was joined by two other furs for which it was there first time at this convention as well. We joked and conversed as we ate, discussing the hotel and its elaborate decor. They were as equally amazed as I was at the site of it all. After we finished eating, we noticed there was a lot of hustle and bustle down stairs so we decided to check it out. There were a bunch of people and fursuiters running about playing some sort of game so I inquired as to what it was. I turned out to be some sort of scavenger hunt in which you looked for coins and pet toys and such with points on them. As you collected points you could redeem them in the dealer's area or artist alley. I found this game to rather interesting and unique having not seen anything like it before at a convention, at least not to this extent. I decided I would walk about and see what I could find. I was then met by a couple of fursuiters offering to help me out since it was my first time. I was intrigued by them, almost mesmerized, so I agreed. I noticed the detail and how lifelike they looked, a surreal illusion about them, making me feel as if maybe they were not just suiters and perhaps more, however I logically knew otherwise that that simply could not be. One of the suiters was a wolf of moderate build. He was a bit taller than me, perhaps around 5'11" or so, and lean. He looked to be no more that 190 lbs with the fur. The other was a shorter person, a vixen; she was no more than 5' 6" and around 160lbs with her fur. Their suits were so elegant, and I was certain expensive having the puppetry and electronics to blink and smile at me flawlessly as they talked. The lighting in the hotel was dimmer at this time, being late at night, probably around midnight, so it was hard to make out the finer details I was sure were there; even so I was truly astounded by these 2 suits. We ran about collecting all sorts of things for points and turning them in building up a large sum. Soon we each had more than enough to get anything we wanted from the artists and venders. I was shocked at how easy the suiters made it for me. It was as if they did this sort of thing constantly. After turning in our final points and collecting our vouchers they waved and took off to do their own thing while I wondered around. I was even more surprised to see that the dealers room and artist alley were open all night as well. This convention was really going all out is what I thought as I continued to wonder about. The longer I walked around the more at home I felt so I finally sat at a table near the artist alley and talked with a few artists after being warmly greeted by them, and being treated as if I was a celebrity, though I was still unsure why. One artist took interest in my fursona tattoo, asking me about each one. He took particular interest in my blue husky hermaphrodite, Kavori, offering to draw her for me. I had more than enough points to pay for it, but even so he offered to do it as a gift. His work was simply astounding, the detail in each of his drawings and paintings making them look as if they were photographs. I sat there and watched as he worked; the speed in which he sketched hir was remarkable. Each mark of his pencil bringing hir closer into existence on the fine bristol paper. As he continues eventually working to the color using each pencil to bring out the details of hir fur and markings. Hir eyes looked lively as if looking into mine in return. As he finished and handed the piece to me, he said that my eyes were just as lovely as hirs and he hoped I would enjoy the drawing. I smiles a joyfully thanked him and made got up to look about the hotel some more. It was about 3am or so by now and I decided to join some other late nighters and a few early birds out front for the hookah party going on. There were a lot of suiters and people gathered around a great number of hookahs. The smell of each flavor was stronger and bolder than I was used to, but it was pleasing and relaxing. I took a seat next to a big one that had mint shisha in it. We all talked and joked as we enjoyed the hookahs, the wondrous smells and taste of each blend filling the early morning hours. There were several suiters sitting next to me most of the time as it was a nice, cool morning. There was a husky, a raccoon, and a few felines as well. As we all talked and enjoyed the morning I couldn't help but notice their suits were just and nice as the 2 I saw earlier, even in the poor lighting. I also wished I had brought mine, but the last minute decision to go I hadn't had time to get them cleaned and packed up after the last con. Even so I found myself having fun, and being myself more and more. I also felt, different, at peace with myself, though I wasn't exactly sure what it was. We continued chatting and joking till about sunrise when many of us decided to head back inside and partake in several of the upcoming activities. I was a little tired, but the bit if rest I had earlier during my bath had helped through most of the night and I figured I could stay up for a bit longer. I felt a bit heavier and despite it being a rather cool morning I was quite content as I headed back into the hotel. When I got back inside there were a bunch of people working on finding and collecting more points and rewards, people playing all sorts of games, and just hanging out. I walked back to the main area and about that time I noticed the hidden skylights and the sun started to shine through them. I few suiters were around me, way more that there where over night; and it was then I realized that I was wrong. Much to my surprise they weren't suiters at all, they were in fact actual furs. I felt a warmness was over me, and I noticed that the extra weight I had felt on myself earlier was in fact fur. I was changing. I was in fact becoming my husky, Kavori. I stood there dumbfounded as the others all stopped what they were doing to watch and applaud. I felt my body go numb, and start reshaping. It wasn't painful but it was a little uncomfortable and my face contorted and stretched into a muzzle. I felt heavier as my chest started growing bigger and fuller to the DDD's that my husky herm had. I felt my balls disappear up into me, and my feminine parts form, as my cock grew a bit thicker and tucked into a furry well hidden sheath. I felt my tail grow from the tip of my spine. My clothes were tight on me now and I was a bit chubbier from becoming Kavori, as it was winter and shi is a Siberian husky after all. I then felt my legs bend and reshape into digitigrades legs and paws. I continued to stand there in disbelief as the feeling slowly and fully returned to my body. I became a bit overwhelmed as I started to smell all the different food cooking a floor above me, as well as hearing the sounds of everything around me. I slowly worked my ears around till I found a spot where the sound lever seemed comfortable. I tried to take a step forward, but I quickly lost my balance and several other furs rushed to my side to help. They were all congratulating me and hugging me as they led me back to my room. When we got to my room they helped me take a seat on the side of my bed and all but a select few left and waited for me outside. The ones that remained were the wolf and vixen that helped me with the scavenger hunt earlier. The male raccoon from the hookah party was there as well, as he had helped the wolf nearly carry me to my room. The vixen was holding a beautiful Black Slouch dress that looked similar to the one Kavori was wearing the drawing that I had gotten earlier. The wolf and raccoon helped me get my now stretched and ruined clothing off of me and the vixen then help me into the dress. It felt amazing. It cover my front and larg breast perfectly, and tightly accented the rest of my new figure, it was open in the back leaving my tail and fluff exposed but due to my thick and long husky fur, nothing was showing. They helped me move about the room getting used to the balance and movement of my new legs. Wich went surprisingly quit. All this went on for about an hour or so. After I was used to my new body and felt comfortable they help brush out my fur and long blue hair, and escorted me back down to the lobby with what was left of the group. Once I was down there an elegantly dressed mink, which I assume was the chairman, greeted me and publically introduced me as he place an exquisite sapphire husky head shaped broach upon my dress. I felt a bit embarrassed as I now realized why I was invited and treated as a special guest to this convention, as it was now to be my home. I was brought here for my longing and desire to become Kavori, and they made that wish come true. I was overjoyed. At that time the 2 others I met at the restaurant earlier were given an introduction and broach as well, because they too had become their respective fursonas; one a male tabby cat and the other a diamond white lioness. We were all promptly welcomed as citizens to this wondrous society, and a party was thrown in our honor. The fun went on for most of the day, but my lack of proper sleep slowly started to catch up with me, so I started to make my way to the glass elevators to head up to my room to rest. I felt my soft fur blow around some as the ac kicked on, a vent right above me. As I waited for the elevator I felt tired, and dazed. The world about me went into a spin. I felt like I was being pulled away. I started to cry as I realized what was happening. I was already asleep and was now waking. Sadness and fear washed over me and a cried out "Why! This can't be!" and I could see everyone walking up to me again. As I woke up more and more the hotel and everyone got harder and harder to see, ever so slowly fading away, the city gone as well. My new friends all wished me well. One passed as I watched myself slowly fade away, "Kavori, I love what you did with your fur." In which all I could reply was, "I don't want to go." "I'm sorry but you must, as right now is not really your time, but its ok; for you can always come back later," someone said as they faded away. I could now only hear all the voices as everything went to a blur. I could barely make them out waving to me as they all said, "Goodbye Kavori." I was then simply crying in my bed and it was then that I awoke. It was then that I wrote this out.....
