(Song: Psychosocial by Slipknot)

(Scene: Dameon's Transformation/Aftermath: Lives Lost to the Invisible)

Dameon paced the chamber where the Gyro stood. His hands were clasped together behind his back and he was holding an unlit cigar between the iron spikes he called teeth. Holi walked up to him.

"Dameon, listen," she tried to talk to him, but couldn't get the words out as he took the cigar in his fingers, still pacing, and ate it. She stepped back a bit, but then finally got up the nerve to talk to him.

"Dameon, it's not worth it. What if something goes wrong? You could die," she tried to convince him that what he was about to do was stupid. He had, just five minutes ago, declared that he was using the machine on himself. The original plan was for Eveser to be infused with an enormous amount of energy and turned into the perfect warrior. He would then, driven insane by the sheer force of that much power at once, be released upon the world to destroy it all and leave a blank slate with which the Behaku would change to be whatever they wanted.

Because of the obvious absence of the plan's biggest asset, a certain persistent dragon, Dameon was left with two options: leave the plan to die in a pit, or find another test subject. He chose the latter.

"I don't care," he said coldly.

"Master! Master!" Dameon turned his head towards the plea of attention. A female Husky ran up to him with a small, wooden box. It had a lock on the front and a small design of a heart with a knife through it on the top. He took the box and then looked at the Husky-girl, who still stood next to him panting.

"What else do you want?" he asked cruelly. She swallowed nervously and spoke.

"Well sir, over the past couple days, I've been harassed by Zirconus and a few others. I was just going to ask if you could tell them to back off?" she retold her story to the uncaring ears of the Behaku lord. His metal eyebrow raised, he pointed to the soldier standing on guard duty against the wall.

"That Zirconus?" he asked the girl. She nodded quite eagerly. Dameon, with the same hand pointed at Zirconus, curled his finger and summoned the soldier over to him. Zirconus walked over to him and stood at attention.

"Yes, my lord?" he asked, aware that he had been ratted out.

"Is it true you've been harassing this poor girl here?" he asked solemnly. The soldier rambled for a little bit, but after staring into the deep blue eyes of his lord, he nodded slowly. Dameon sniffed once and grabbed the Behaku by the chestplate and threw him into a wall on the far side of the room. He turned to the husky-girl with an uninterested but irritated look that plainly said: You're next.

"Is there anything else you need?" He called after her as she booked. His shoulders sagged and he let his head knock against his chest.

When he had gotten the anger out of him, he picked up the box he had dropped when he settled those two's little tiff. After a little trouble with opening the lock, he put his claw on the keyhole and pressed. It made a loud, sparking noise and the lock popped open. Upon opening the box, he saw three large, white crystals with black and red liquid pulsating inside.

"Dameon, please, don't do this," Holi begged him on last time. He looked at her with disdain and hatred. She backed up slowly. He took out one of the crystals and placed it into a metal box held up by a thick, metal rod. There were three of these in a triangle shape around the Gyro. He placed each one in their respective spots and shut the lids on each box. With a last look at Holi, he walked up the stairs leading to the manacles in the middle with two Behaku behind him.

He put his wrists and ankles in the manacles, which were snapped shut by the Behaku. Dameon stared straight out in front of him as the Behaku behind the control panel pressed some buttons and pulled some levers, making the large Gyros spin, then the next layer and the next layer of Gyros, until they were all spinning rapidly around the demon lord. He cringed with apparent pain as the energy of the crystals was drained and slammed into the very fiber of his being. Holi stood and watched with fear and sadness from her safe-zone. A light began to appear in Dameon's chest, a light that came from inside his robe.

As the light in his chest grew bigger and brighter, he clenched his teeth in pain. He tried so hard to fight through the pain by tightening his jaws that his teeth shattered from the force. Dameon's cloak was beginning to change shape, molding around his body and engulfing him. It turned a sickly tannish color and then moved to his torso completely. His arms were left uncovered, revealing the mechanical bones underneath. The light in his chest grew blinding and the whole room was engulfed.

Holi turned away as did everyone in the chamber. When the light died and the smoke cleared, Dameon lay on the floor in front of the machine. He had no cloak, just real skin on his torso, brown pants with a clip-shut pack attached to his leg by a strap, and skeletal limbs and a skull. He lay, breathing slowly on the floor. Holi quickly ran over to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Dameon?" she asked fearfully. It was a few seconds before he was, suddenly, gone. Before anyone had the chance to be surprised, a scream came from the corner. A Behaku guard fell to the ground with a huge bleeding slash across his throat. A maniacal laugh filled the room and another scream, another dead Behaku. Soon all of the guards dying around Holi, each of them just falling to the ground with horrible wounds and gashes. When the last of them fell, Holi stood in the middle of the room with a look of fear on her face. She knew Dameon could be unpredictable before, but after this transformation?!

"Dameon?" she asked again, more terrified. A thump sounded behind her.

"No. Not Dameon, not anymore," the creature said triumphantly. And with that, he smiled with evil malice.
